In a Kraang base, Leatherhead ran through the halls panting, turning back when he heard the sound of Kraang droids. In his his claws he held a staff made of pure crystal and in the other, he held a Kraang Communication orb. Leatherhead then jumped down from what was actually a Technodrome down into a forest of crystal trees in a bizarre-looking space.
As he pushed through the crystals, he looked around for trouble before activating the orb, setting it to record, "Turtles, the Kraang have finally perfected the Mutagen, they're about to-" Leatherhead was cut off when he turned and saw Kraang droids heading towards him.
"Halt, that which is known as intruder!" The lead Droid ordered as the Kraang started firing on Leatherhead. The Alligator mutant's eyes glazed over and he roared, going into rage mode as he started attacking the Kraang. He pierced one Kraang with his crystal staff and then did a death roll, steamrolling the other droids as one tried to run but failed.
When Leatherhead turned his back to grab his cane, he was blasted from all sides by more Kraang droids. He roared in pain before finally collapsing and dropping his communication orb. One Kraang with a tase rod, and zapped him unconscious. The Kraang however didn't notice the communication orb flickering, "Hzzt-T-T-Turtles! The Kraang-the Krang have perfected-Zzt-they're about to-" The message gargled as Leatherhead was zapped again.
Back in the Turtle's Lair, the turtles, san Donnie and Tal, are looking at a VHS tape of SRMFFTF with exciting looks. "This is it! The final episode of Super Robo Mecha Force Five Team Five!" Leo said in excitement as Leo opened the cover to get the tape out.
"Ah! I love this show so much! I wish they were real and we were fake!" Mikey said in excitement before he gasped. "Wait? What if we are?" He asked in wonder.
"Just pop the thing in, Leo," Jenny told the blue-clad turtle.
Leo then put the tape into the TV as he pressed play before Mikey got in front of them. "What if someone somewhere is watching us on TV right now?" Mikey asked in excitement. "They'd be watching us watch TV on TV, Bro!" He exclaimed before the video played as they watched SRMFFTF facing the entire Cyberoid Fleet as their captain suggested into a space wormhole in front of them, despite his team's protests, they flew into the wormhole as they started screaming.
"Oh my gosh, Donnie and Tal have to see this!" Mikey said as he was about to grab the TV and pull on it.
"No!" Leo cried out.
"Mikey, wait!" Ames called before Mikey tripped and fell to the ground as the VHS player fell on him while the tape sprang loose, "Ooh," She winced.
"This is why we should keep Mikey away from machines." Vee said tiredly.
In the lap, Donnie and Tal are inspecting the portable portal that they have had since the Wormquake incident on the computer as it showed an error, which made Donnie gasp as he tried again, "Ugh, this Kraang portal is impossible!" He griped.
"Take it easy, Donnie. This is a new design from the first portal you told me they have at TCRI." Tal said to him. "Maybe we're just missing something here."
"Yeah, but like what?" Donnie asked as he kept typing before Mikey came in with the broken tape.
"Um, Donnie, Tal, can either of you fix this?" Mikey asked slowly before the error sound from the computer pop up again as Donnie slammed his fist to the ground.
"Mikey, can't you see we're busy?" Tal questioned him with a brow. "Just put the tape somewhere. We'll work on it later." She waved off.
"Oh, okay." Mikey said sadly as he walked to a corner, but bumped into a claw that opened up as Mikey yelled and fell to the ground as it moved over him. "Monster hand! Monster hand!" He screamed in fear.
"That's just part of the turtle mech we've been working on." Donnie said as he went back to his computer.
"Whoa! It's huge!" Mikey said in amazement.
"It is. But it's so huge we can't even find a power source for something that size." Tal said with her arms crossed. "Something like the Kraang Powercell would work,"
"If we could just get this portal working, I could find it!" Donnie yelled as he slammed his fist down on his desk, which sent the portal device to the ground as it suddenly activated and opened a portal as the others came in when they heard the noise.
"What did Mikey do?" Raph questioned.
"I didn't do it!" Mikey said in defense before they saw some pink mist escaping the portal.
"What is that?" Olly asked in confusion as Donnie looked at his screen and inspected the portal status.
"It's Kraang atmosphere." Donnie said as he quickly brought out ten cardboard boxes with tubes. "Here! Filtration units They'll allow us to breathe it safely." He said as they put the filter boxes on and the tubes in their mouths.
"Wait, you said this is Kraang atmosphere? Right Donnie?" Tal asked in shock as she looked at the portal.
"Yeah. It's sorta like poison to us but what the air is like to the Kraang." Donnie stated.
"Then, I think you accidentally set the portal to link with Dimension X." Tal theorized.
"Where the Kraang come from?" Leo asked in surprise.
"Yes! It-" Tal tried to say before the Kraang Communication orb activated.
There was a bit of static before the holographic image of a Leatherhead appeared, "Turtles…" Leatherhead said, his voice coming out a bit glitchy.
"It's Leatherhead!" Mikey said in joy before Raph shushed him.
"He's saying something!" Raph scolded as they listened to Leatherhead's message.
"Turtles. The Kraang have finally perfected the mutagen. They're about to-" He was cut off as his hologram faded.
"Oh, no! The Kraang must've got him!" Mikey cried out in panic. "He needs our help!"
"As soon as the portal opened, his signal came through and activated the orb." Donnie theorized.
"Donnie, it doesn't matter how. Leatherhead needs our help." Olly said to him seriously.
"Can your orb track Leatherhead's location from here, Donatello?" Naomi asked.
"Maybe, if I can-" Donnie tried to think before Mikey grabbed the orb and ran to a tarp object.
"Mikey!" They all yelled as Mikey started banging the orb. "Where's Leatherhead?! Where is he?!" He yelled.
"No!" Donnie yelled as he took the orb back, but it shorted out. "Mikey!" He yelled as Raph and Leo placed Mikey on a chair.
"Well, there's goes our chance at finding him." Jenny said in annoyance.
"Don't worry, I can fix the orb. But it may take a while." Donnie said while inspecting the orb.
"Okay, we need to come up with a plan to rescue Leatherhead and find out what he meant about the Kraang perfecting the Mutagen," Leo stated.
"Yeah!" Mikey declared.
"Part one is, Mikey stays here." Leo said with a finger as Mikey frowned.
"Wait. Why?" Mikey asked in shock.
"You've been messing up too much lately. We can't take the chance." Leo said firmly.
"Hold up, Leo." Ames said with a look. "You can't just bench Mikey because he messed up, I mean, the VHS tape was an accident, but he really cares about Leatherhead. Can you blame him?" She questioned.
"I'm gonna have to agree with her, Leo," Olly said while crossing his arms.
"What?" Leo asked with a look, "I'm the leader here. We're literally going to the Kraang's home turf, the last thing we need is a Mikey screw-" He didn't finish as Olly rushed behind him, pinched both sides of Leo's neck causing him to stiffen and fall to the floor like a plank of wood.
"Oh, snap." Raph said in surprise and with a smirk while the others winced. "Chief Olly is strict." He commented as Leo twitched as he got his feeling back and stood up.
"What was that for?" Leo questioned while rubbing his neck.
"Leo, while I get that Mikey's actions can be a bit challenging. But have any of you ever journeyed into Dimension X before?" Olly questioned.
Leo, Donnie, Mikey, and Raph looked at each other in confusion before they shrugged. "No." Raph admitted.
"Exactly. We're heading into the unknown territory of our worst enemy, apart from Shredder, and right now, we'll need all the turtle power we can get." Olly said seriously. "And since April, Casey, Robyn, and Keno are at school and Master Splinter is still meditating, we'll need all hands on deck to even survive what's on the other side."
"You know, he's got a point, Leo." Donnie said in agreement. "We know nothing about Dimension X other than the fact that its air is toxic and that the Kraang lived there."
"But what if Mikey screws up while we're trying to rescue Leatherhead?" Leo questioned while Mikey pouted.
"And what if Leatherhead flips out and we don't have the one turtle who can calm him down and saves Donnie from getting grabbed by the face and shaken like a ragdoll?" Ames questioned back as Donnie's eyes widened in alarm.
"I vote Mikey comes!" Donnie quickly called while raising his arm as Leo sighed.
"Now, I'm not saying that what Mikey did was alright, but it's not right to bench a teammate because of a mistake." Olly said as Leo groaned with his arms crossed.
"Okay. I see you're point." Leo said with a huff. "Man, you are good." He said with a look.
"Well, I am older and wiser." Olly said with a smirk. "But, you'll get there one day."
"I'll get there quickly, pal." Leo said with a challenging smirk as Olly returned the gesture.
"Okay, we wasted enough time." Olly said with a chuckle. "Let's just go in and save Leatherhead." He declared while pointing to the portal.
"Wait? Now?" Vee asked in surprise.
"But we haven't even started fixing the orb." Tal pointed out.
"So what?!" Mikey said as he stood up. "Leatherhead is in trouble! We have to save him!" He declared and grabbed Ames by the arm. "Let's go, Ames!"
"Whoa! Mikey!" Ames called out in surprise as she was being dragged close to the portal with Mikey.
"Guys!" The others all called out.
"Booyakasha!" Mikey called as he and Ames jumped through the portal together while the others looked in shock.
"We gotta go after them!" Raph exclaimed.
"Let's move!" Leo called as they all got closer to the portal.
"Wait! The environment in there could be toxic to-!" Donnie called out but was cut off.
"Donnie, there's no time! Let's just go!" Tal called as they all jumped into the portal after Mikey and Ames before it closed and the portal device fell to the ground deactivated.
In the portal stream, the turtles all screamed as they swirled around in the vortex before the eight came out the other end before the portal closed. "Not as fun the second time." Vee groaned as they stood up.
Leo's eyes widened and looked to the others, "Uh guys? Look," He said as they saw floating metallic-looking islands with purple cracks on them, floating everywhere in a pink void, Krathatragons, technodromes, and many other bizarre creatures and things as far as the eye could see. "So, this is Dimension X." He said in shock while the others looked with their jaws dropped.
They then dropped down to the ground when a Krathatragon knocked them down while flying past them. "Freak show." Jenny said, stunned.
"There's no sun, there's no anything." Donnie said as he stepped closer to the edge. "How can-"
"Donnie, look out!" Tal called as Donnie fell over the edge, but as the others rushed to the edge, they looked down in surprise, not at the endless void, but at how Donnie was standing upsidedown on the platform.
"This is ridiculous! Gravity cannot work like this!" Donnie exclaimed in shock as Tal helped him up.
"Well, apparently, here it can, Donnie." Tal said while rubbing her chin, "It seems every island has its own gravitational field."
"Yeah. Different dimension." Donnie said as he picked up a rock and tossed it away, but they all looked the other way as they saw the same rock flying past them before Donnie caught it. "Different laws of physics." He said while tossing the rock away.
"Okay, this is really freaky." Raph commented.
"Has anyone seen Michelangelo and Amoly?" Naomi asked while looking around. "Weren't they ahead of us?"
"They were a few seconds ago." Olly said while seeing no sign of the two turtles. "They must've already gone after Leatherhead, we better find them," He said.
"Where do we start?" Vee asked.
Raph then saw a Kraang base in the distance, "That's as good a place to start as any," Raph said.
"Good call." Olly said as he stepped forward. "Let's go!" He called as he jumped off the island, which he jumped further than he normally did as he landed on another island with a flip before turning to the others, who looked in shock. "What?! Different laws! Remember?! Let's go!" He called out.
The others looked at each other with shrugs before they followed after Olly, jumping further as well before they all jumped from island to island to huge distances as they landed on a Kraang pillar. "Why aren't we seeing any Kraang around here?" Leo questioned, noticing the lack of Kraang around the area.
"Yeah, we're basically in their house, there should be Kraang swarming the place," Tal noted in confusion, "Where could they be?"
"Who cares?" Jenny questioned. "At least they don't know we're here."
"Except for those." Raph said while pointing at something as they all looked ahead and saw small blue/pink cellular bubbles flying around. "Aww, look at the little guys, they're all cute and sparkly." He teased while the others looked at them in adoration.
The bubbles stopped flying around when they noticed them and went closer, which made them bigger. "Wait, are they little?" Leo questioned.
"Or are they really big from far away?" Olly questioned as the creatures came up to them, they soon towered over them revealing them to be much larger than them. "They're really big from far away! Run!" He called as the creatures formed electricity and started firing at them, which they barely dodged as they landed on the floor of the island they were on.
Raph and Leo jumped up and tried to attack them, but the creatures broke apart and the two turtles flew up in confusion. Then the creatures blasted the two with colored electricity.
"Leo!/Raph!" Both Vee and Jenny yelled as they tackled the two creatures, but they fell to the ground as they threw stars at them, but they rebounded off as the girls were grabbed by the others and hid quietly under an island before the creatures searched around and took off.
"What the heck were those things?" Leo questioned in shock.
"If Mikey and Ames were here, they could come up with a name for them." Jenny commented as they all gave nervous looks.
"They're probably Kraang baits by now." Raph said in concern.
"Don't say that," Olly said firmly. "Even if they are, they wouldn't be caught easily." He said to them.
"Guys, these are the same kind of crystal that was in the Kraang power cell." Donnie said as he picked on one of the crystal tree branches, finding the details similar to the power cell they once had from Leatherhead.
"Careful, Donnie. We don't what will happen if you-" Tal tried to warn before Donnie broke a crystal off the tree, which started glowing.
"Um, what is it doing?" Naomi asked in concern.
"Something not good." Donnie said nervously as they all panicked. "Go, go, go!" He called as they all jumped away before the crystal exploded as they landed on another island as some crystal shards came down on them as one of the sharp ones nearly hit Leo as he turned to it.
"New rule! Nobody… touch… anything!" Leo declared as they all groaned in agreement.
At the Kraang Base, Leatherhead was in a cell, getting shocked as he screamed in pain while shackled in energy cuffs as he fell to the ground while the three Kraang watched. "The one known as Leatherhead has sabotaged Kraang's plans for the time which is known as the last." One of the Kraang in the pod said.
"Kraang believes it's 'sabotage'. One of the droids corrected.
"And no longer will he be an irritant to our dorsal regions." The second droid said as Leatherhead turned to them.
"I think the phrase you are looking for, is pain in the-" Leatherhead was cut off as the Kraang continued to zap him as he screamed in pain.
The turtles are still jumping from one island after the next as they all stop to catch their breaths after so much jumping. "Man! I kind of don't blame the Kraang for invading us. Their dimension stinks!" Donnie commented.
"It's a miracle they can even survive here," Naomi added.
Vee looked to the side and noticed a small yellow and black lump creature on a rock, "I don't know. That thing looks pretty harmless," She commented, as the creature gave a 'Mop, Mop'. "Aw." She said as she walked up to it.
"Vee, the one thing we know about this dimension since coming here is don't mess with anything cute!" Leo called as Vee kneeled down to the creature.
"Mop, mop." Vee repeated as the creature said it again. "Mop, mop." She said before she gave it a tickle, which it laughed and burst out some green dust from its top as it continued laughing. "Aw! But it's so small and adorable. How can it-" She was cut off when the creature released a bigger puff as its rock then moved, which made them scream as a bigger creature towered over them as it gave a roar and they ran away in fear.
"I hate cute things! I hate them!" Raph yelled as they kept running as they jumped onto another island, but as it drew closer, each of the turtles was then grabbed or pushed away from the creature and tossed from the ground, and in front of them were two figures that shocked them.
"Stay away from our family!" Mikey's voice yelled out.
"They are not food!" Ames' voice yelled as the turtles looked up and saw that Mikey and Ames were each wearing Kraang skulls, some extra straps, Kraang Tentacles on their arms, and crystals on their belts.
"Mikey?!/Ames?!" They all asked in shock before both Mikey and Ames made strange noises, which disorientated the creature before they drew some crystals.
"Buzz off, Rocktapus!" Ames called as the others watched with slack jaws as their youngest siblings beat back the creature like it was nothing. Mikey then swung up to its head and kicked the lump creature which caused the Rocktapus to fall off the island and into the void below.
Mikey and Ames landed on the ground after defeating it as they shared a fist-bump together. "You two are okay!" Donnie called in relief as they rushed up to them.
"We were worried about you guys!" Olly added, holding Ames' shoulder.
"Well, what took you so long? We've been here for months!" Mikey said, which shock the others.
"Months?" Leo asked in surprise.
"Or possibly a few weeks," Ames shrugged, "Not a lot of clocks around these parts."
"But we were literally 5 seconds behind you two through the portal," Jenny stated.
"Obviously, time passes faster here than in our own dimension." Donnie spoke up while rubbing his chin.
"Could be." Tal said in agreement. "There's possibly a temporal differential here. It would explain how the Kraang makes such incredible advances in their arsenal."
"I love tempura!" Mikey cheered before Ames spotted something behind them.
"Rocktapus coming back!" Ames called as she and Mikey gave a yell, which caused the creature to roar back as it retreated.
"Wait, how did you two…" Naomi tried to ask in surprise.
"Let's get moving! That thing's gonna keep coming back, and we gotta rescue Leatherhead!" Mikey declared seriously.
"He's right. The Kraang could be torturing his scales out right now," Ames said before turning to Mikey. "But first, Mikey, we need to stock up on more Kraang Crystals."
"Agreed." Mikey said as the two jumped up and landed on an island above them.
"Mikey! Ames! Be careful!" Donnie yelled as the two gave small sounds as the crystals next to them shook and broke off from the branch as they stocked them up in their belts. "How did you two do that?" Donnie asked in shock.
"A lot of stuff in Dimension X responds to sound, Don." Ames said as she and Mikey jumped back to the others and picked up some bug-slug creatures on the ground, "Here, take these Squibbles," She said, tossing one Squibble to each of the others.
"What are we supposed to do with these?" Olly questioned weirdly.
"Like this." Mikey answered as he squeezed his Squibble, which shot out what looked like a long rope as it attached to an island as Ames did the same, the others followed along, but when they loosened their grip, the Squibbles retracted as they were flung up with screams as they landed on the island while Mikey and Ames landed in front of them.
"Wow! How did you two know how these bug things work?" Jenny asked in amazement while Mikey shook his Squibble.
"Just seemed sort of obvious." Mikey said with a shrug.
"They act like living grabbling hooks, just squeeze and swing," Ames said with a small smile.
"Mikey, Ames, you guys are like geniuses here." Raph commented as he and the others gave impressive smiles.
"Hey, in Crazy Backwards Land, Crazy Backwards Dudes are the king and queen." Mikey said to them before he squirted from the back of his Squibble, which releases green substances while the others, san Ames, looked in disgust. "They're tasty, too!" He said.
Ames noticed their expressions. "What? You try surviving Dimension X for as long as we have." She said in defense. "These were the only food we could find. Which doesn't taste all bad at all, to be honest." She said as she did the same with her Squibble, disgusting them even more.
"I think I'm gonna hurl." Vee said while clutching her stomach.
The two funny turtles finished their drinks and looked in the distance, "Now let's go rescue Leatherhead!" Mikey said mumbly.
"It's gator saving time!" Ames declared with her Squibble up.
The ten turtles used the Squibbles to get closer to the Kraang Base as they hid at the side of the facility in the shadows while hiding among the crystal trees, "Okay, we got good news and bad news," Mikey said as he hung upside down from his Squibble.
"What's the good news?" Olly questioned.
"There are thousands of Kraand droids in there." Ames said while they looked at her.
"I said good news." Olly repeated before the ground started shaking as Mikey came down.
"We know. remember Traag, that lava rock monster we destroyed back at TCRI?" Mikey asked his brothers as they saw said rock monster walk out with an identical rock monster, but was white and blue, "Well, turns out we didn't destroy him and he's got a friend," He explained.
"Meet Granitor," Ames introduced the white rock monster, "He and Traag are the bad news," She said as Granitor gave a roar of blue fire while Traag spewed out lava.
"Okay, I see why Kraang droids are good news." Olly said nervously as Granitor turned to them and breathed out fire at them, which they quickly dodged as they moved out of the way.
"Ames and I got this! Just-" Mikey tried to call, but Leo and the others already drew their weapons.
"Donnie, Tal, Vee, Naomi, right. Raph, Jenny, Olly, left. Move!" Leo called as they, except Ames and Mikey, charged at the stone creatures while Ames and Mikey stood there.
"Guys, wait!" Ames called as they watched their siblings charge at the two rock titans, but were being pushed back as they were knocked to the edge as Traag held Leo and Olly up.
"Hey, Traag! Granitor! Put them down! Now!" Mikey yelled as he and Ames tossed their crystals at them, which exploded on impact as the crystals hit the stone warriors and dropped Olly and Leo to the others while the two funny turtles jumped in front of them.
"We told you guys, we got this!" Ames called as she and Mikey charged at the two stone creatures while the others looked surprised.
"They're both so…" Tal trailed off, unsure how to describe what they were seeing.
"Un-Mikeyish and not-so-Amesish?" Raph suggested.
"Yeah. Exactly." Olly said in stunned as they watched the two funny turtles pushing Traag and Granitor close to the edge before they stomped their legs down and gave a combined high-pitch scream, which cracked the platform and sent the two stone creatures down to the void as the others rushed up to them in amazement. "Whoa."
"Let's move!" Mikey said as he and Ames rushed off while the others followed, leaving Leo and Vee behind as Leo gave a scoff.
"I say that." Leo said with a frown.
"Jealous much, Heroboy?" Vee asked with a smirk.
"No!" Leo denied with a shake of his head while Vee kept smirking. "Let's just move." He said as they followed after the others.
The Turtles move through the Kraang base stealthy before they came up to a door guarded by two Kraang droids. Raph and Jenny moved to take them out but Mikey and Ames stopped them before they used their Squibbles to grab the two Kraang out of the droids and tossed them out cold on the ground.
"Smooth!" Raph commented as the group looked through the door and saw two mutagen cannons aimed at a tree similar to the one they have at the lair.
"Initiate that which is called Mutagen Transformation Sequence. That which is called Mutagen Transformation Sequence initiated." A Kraang spoke up while Kraang Prime watches from the monitors as they shot mutagen at the tree, which started glowing as it then transformed into a Kraang Crystal tree as Kraang Prime smiled at this as a tube was placed over it as the monitors shut off as they others came in and look closer in shock.
"It didn't turn into a tree monster? But why?" Vee asked in shock.
"That must've been what Leatherhead meant when he said they'd perfected the mutagen." Donnie said as he looked at the monitor that showed not only the tree turned into a Crystal Tree, but a dog turning into a Rockatpus and a human turning into a Kraang-human hybrid. "They're gonna use it to transform everything on Earth, even the people!"
"They're going to turn the Earth into another Dimension X!" Tal finished in horrified shock.
"So Ames and I'll be geniuses there, too?" Mikey asked hopefully.
"Yes, Mikey. Thank you for finding the one mildly positive thing among ten billion screaming NIGHTMARES!" Donnie sarcastically yelled loudly before Tal covered his mouth.
"Quiet! You want the whole fortress to know we're here?!" Tal whispered harshly before they heard beeping as the door opened as some Kraang Droids entered the room only to find no one inside as they looked around.
In the hallway, some Kraang are patrolling the hallway while the Turtles snuck past them without being seen. In Leatherhead's cell, he was still getting shocked as he screamed in pain by the two Kraang Droids as he glared at them. "What do you want from me?!" He questioned.
"That which is called 'screaming'." The Kraang said before Leo and Olly took them down quickly before Ames and Mikey picked up the two Kraang and slammed them together to knock them out before tossing them aside.
"Leatherhead!" Mikey said as he rushed up to him while Donnie and Tal pick on the controls on the side. "Are you okay? What can I do for you? Can you-" He was cut off when Leatherhead's energy shackles disappeared and Leatherhead fell on Mikey in exaustion after the torment while the others cringed. "Get off of me." Mikey moaned as Leatherhead slowly got off Mikey as he stood up.
"Thank you, my friends." Leatherhead said in huge relief. "I feared you would never come."
"Leatherhead, did you hardly moistturize? Because you look a bit older." Ames noted while seeing Leatherhead some a bit of grey color on his green skin.
"It's the temporal differential, Ames." Donnie reminded her.
"Yes. I have been in this place for a couple of decades now, spying on the Kraang ." Leatherhead said as he placed a hand on Mikey's shoulder. "When I discovered that they had perfected the mutagen, I had to contact you." He said as he picked up his crystal staff. "The time has come. Their invasion begins now." He declared as he gave a determined look. "Follow me." He then rushed out and gave a roar at a fallen Kraang on the floor, sending it flying while the others were surprise while Mikey smiled.
"He's a little cranky." Mikey whispered to them with a small smile.
"And apparently, wanting payback." Ames commented with a smile as well as they followed Leatherhead through the base.
Leatherhead then busted a wall down where the heroes saw a huge chamber with a giant power cell crystal over the ceiling as they looked down and saw a couple of Kraang at the controls in the middle of the room while there are Kraang portals all over the place. "Oh! That's not good." Donnie said neverously.
"There are so many Kraang portals," Olly said in suspicion. "Why would they need so many?" He asked before beeping sounds can be heard.
"Look!" Leatherhead called as the walls opened to show armies of Kraang Droids armed, which shocked the group.
"That's, a lot, of Kraang." Jenny said in shock.
"So, looks like we're done here." Tal said nervously.
"Leatherhead, how could there be this many of them?" Olly questioned.
"The tunnels leads to the hive factory, where the Kraang Droids are manufactured." Leatherhead explained as the Kraang marched to the portal statlion. "Their numbers are effectively limitless."
"So what can we do against them?" Naomi asked.
"We can go down fighting!" Leatherhead declared. "I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees!"
"Well, I wouldn't! I have knee pads!" Donnie exclaimed while moving his knees. "The only sensible course of action now is retreat!" He added.
"No! We're not retreating! We're stopping their invasion!" Ames declared as she and Mikey turned to them.
"Agreed!" Mikey called out. "Leo, Raph, Jenny, Vee, Olly, and Naomi, block that tunnel! Donnie, Ames, Tal, and I will sabotage the portal generator!" He declared.
"And Leatherhead…." Ames started as Leatherhead gave a smirk.
"Crush Kraang?" Leatherhead asked eagerly.
"A lot!" Ames confirmed.
"Let's hit it!" Mikey shouted as they used the slugs to grapple on down again.
Leatherhead landed on multiple droids and started to fight them off, Leo, Olly, Naomi, Vee, Jeeny and Raph were tearing through the bots until Leo saw something at the side of the wall. "There, some kind of blastdoor!" He called.
"Good eye, Leo! If we can get that closed…" Olly spoke as they tear their way through the Kraang as Olly placed his hand on the scanner, but it denied him. "Rats! No access!"
A Kraang was about fire on Olly, but then Naomi came in and knocked it down as she ripped out it's robotic arm. "Here, Olivier!" She called while tossing it to Olly, who caught it.
"Thanks!" Olly called as he used the server arm on the scanner that closed all the blast doors around the room to prevent any more Kraang from coming in as he and Naomi shared a high-three before a huge spider like bot with more droids on top and screamed as they avoided more gunfire.
Leatherhead, Mikey, and Ames are fighting off the rest of the Kraang as Donnie and Tal made it to the controls as they started typing on it. "Okay. We ned to shut down all but one portal so we have a way home." Donnie started.
"And then after that, we blow up this place up so the Kraang won't start their invasion so quickly." Tal said as she and Donnie finished typing, but there was a beep. "Drats." She said as she and Donnie gave nervous looks.
Vee and Leo are still running from the spider mech from the Kraang while avoiding laser shots. "Seriously! How much ideas do these guys have?!" Vee questioned while avoiding the laser shots.
"Beats me! They just keep popping out of nowhere!" Leo called as they kept running while at the corner, Raph and Jenny were taking out most of the droids.
As Jenny slashed one droid's blaster it dropped it and raised its fists, "You're kidding? You're kidding, right?" Jenny asked as the Kraang gave a 'come at me' gesture.
"I don't think he is." Raph said as he put his sai away and cracked his knuckles. "Though, I love a fair fight." He said as he then threw a punch, but then the Kraang kneed him to the gut before Raph started punching him back as they exchanged blows.
"Wow, even without blasters, the Kraang are good in combat." Jenny said in surprise before she then fought more Kraang while the others kept fighting the Kraang.
Raph gave the Kraang an uppercut before it slammed its fists down on his head, nailing him. Raph reeled back and looked to Jenny who nodded. Jenny then charged at the Kraang with her fist raised, but just as the droid was about to punch her, Jenny duck and grabbed the alien in its port hard as she gave a yell.
"Hey, do I know you?" Jenny asked the Kraang in her hand as it squirmed around in her grip, "You look familiar,"
"Hey, your that Kraang who Bodyjacked me!" Raph realized before smirking deviously, "So, you wanna go for round 2, huh? Well, game on!" He said before grabbing the Kraang by the tentacles. "Time for Plan 1 again!" He called as he whacked the Kraang like a paddle ball before tossing him to Jenny. "Heads up, J!" He called.
"I got it!" Jenny called as she caught the Kraang, bounced it on her leg like a soccer ball before kicking him back to Raph. "Coming at ya, Hothead!"
"Batterup!" Raph called as he used a server Droid arm and whacked the Kraang away. "Home run!" He cheered as Jenny laughed.
"And the crowd goes wild!" Jenny called as a Kraang snuck up behind them, but then Olly came in as he knocked the droid away while Naomi came up from behind Raph and kicked a few away.
"I get you two are having fun, but we have a mission to complete." Olly said before he backfisted a Kraang behind him without looking.
"What? Gotta have some fun." Raph said in defense while Vee and Leo are still being chased by the spider drone as they avoid it's claws and lasers while dodging a smashed from it's bottom.
Leatherhead then tossed a Kraang at a another on it's pod with a blaster. "Thanks, Leatherhead!" Vee called out as Leatherhead nodded and Leo used his grapple to tie it to one of it's legs.
"Leatherhead, I need a lift!" Leo called before Leatherhead grabbed him by the face and threw him at the spider as Leo screamed.
"You know, you could've just toss him instead of throwing him." Vee said in surprise.
"No time for nice and easy." Leatherhead said as Leo went to the otherside and tied his grapple to another leg, which caused the spider droid to go stiff while trying to balance each other before Leatherhead whacked one it's legs off and titled it upside-down to crush the Kraang riding on it.
But then, a huge laser burst through one of the blast doors, cutting it open as it revealed to be a laser cannon with more spider bots and Kraang coming out. "Aw come on!" Jenny griped.
Ames and Mikey were still keeping the Kraang off the two smart turtles' backs, while the latters are still typing at the controls, which made one of the portals into a sphere.
"No." Donnie said as he and Tal kept typing, but then, more portals then turned into different shapes.
"Not that one." Tal said as a Kraang walked up from a side of the portal, which a Rocktapus lump lure popped up with giggles and a squirt before Ames punched it and a Kraang Droid back through with a smirk.
"No, NO!" Donnie yelled as he started losing it before Mikey pushed him aside.
"Oh, just let me do it!" Mikey said exasperation before slamming his hands on the console randomly without even looking.
"Do you even know how to-" Tal tried to say, but the second Mikey pressed the last button, all the portals except for one closed. "Huh. I guess you do." She said in surprise.
"Come on! Thirty seconds!" Mikey called as he, Ames, Tal, and Donnie rushed through the portal.
"Time to go, now!" Donnie yelled as the others followed after them as Leatherhead whacked a Kraang away.
"Go through without me! I'll keep them busy!" Leatherhead said.
"We've been over this, buddy!" Mikey said as he kicked Leatherhead and pushed him through the portal he saw him holding onto the edge of a roof.
"I'm okay." Leatherhead said with a smile.
"Come on! Move guys!" Ames called as she and Mikey pushed back the Kraang while the others jumped through the portal as they all screamed before Leatherhead grab them before they fell from the roof as Ames saw the portal becoming smaller. "Mikey, the others are through! Let's go before we go boom with this place!"
Mikey looked at her before he gave a frown. "Well, good-bye being smart." He said sadly before Ames placed a hand on his shoulder.
"But then it's back to being the party dude," Ames said encouragingly as Mikey smiled and they jumped through but she turned back, "Wait, Mikey! The crystal!" she reminded.
"Oh, right!" Mikey said as he used his Squibble to shoot through the crystal and took a crystal out, the Kraang tried to stop him but failed as he caught it.
In the portal lab, the giant crystal started glowing brightly. "Prepare for that which is called explo-" A Kraang didn't finished as the crystal cracked and the entire facility exploded in a huge flash.
Back in New York, the others are climbing up from the roof after jumping through the portal as Mikey looked down to Donnie and Tal. "Donnie, Tal, I got you two a power source for the Turtle Mech!" He called while showing the crystal he got before leaving Dimension X.
"Mikey, you are a genius!" Donnie complimented with a smile.
"Not anymore." Mikey said with a forwn as he took off his Kraang Skull. "Now I'm just back to being regular, mess-everything-up Mikey." He said sadly.
"No way. Saving that power cells was brilliant." Leo said with a proud smile.
"And you did that here, Mikey." Ames said with a warm smile. "Just shows that you can be a genius in both worlds."
"Yes, I did! Maybe I'm not such a screw-up after all!" Mikey said with a smile as he scratched his head, but then he realizes he let go of the ledge as he was about to fall, but Ames quickly grab him before he fall to the ground.
"Maybe you should pay more attention on where you compliment yourself." Ames said in amusement with a small smile.
Mikey gave a sheepish chuckle. "Eh, good point, Ames." He said as Ames helped him up as the all regroup on top of the rooftop.
"That overload should've taken out their whole facility. Their invasion will be set back for months." Donnie said with a confident smile.
"Yeah, but how long is that with the time differential thing?" Raph asked, reminding them of how time moves faster in Dimension X.
"I don't know." Donnie honestly said in concern.
"From what Ames and Mikey told us about their time there, it could be hours? Maybe even a whole day." Tal said in great concern while the others shared the same expression.
"So even after all that, their invasion is still closer than ever." Jenny said with a frown.
"My friends, I sense there's a storm on the horizon." Naomi said forebodingly while looking at the gray skies, "And we're all that stands it's way,"
"She's right, guys. We're the only thing standing between the Kraang and their invasion of Earth." Leo said with a serious tone. "Are we ready to fight?"
"Yes!" They all exclaimed with determination as they turned to Mikey and Ames, who kept smiling.
"Give us a second." Ames said with a smile before Mikey spoke.
"Okay, now we're ready!" Mikey cheered as they all shared a high-three. "Booyakasha!" He called, while the Kraang invasion is near, they would be ready for them.
