This story starts with the end of the greatest tale known to all, a tale of a Tarnished, a Tarnished who installed Melina the Maiden as the elden lord,the Tarnished who mastered a thousand sorceries,Godkiller,Bane of gods,Master of all arms and as the people of westeros called him "the knight".

The Tarnished could not go on like this. To relive his conquest of the Throne over and over and over again, without change, without the ability to save those he cared about. Trapped in an endless cycle of misery. He would no longer play along. He came from Beyond the Fog, so who is to say that he could not return?

The kindling maiden and her Tarnished find themselves on a journey together. Only they aren't in the Lands Between any longer. How was Melina to know that burning herself would have such strange consequences?
