Chapter Nineteen: The Cursed Child And The Demon
Stepping into the campus of Jujutsu High, Naruto immediately sensed Tengen's barrier. The barrier was immensely powerful—the strongest he had ever encountered. Tengen might not be a formidable fighter, but as a defender, she was unparalleled.
However, alongside Tengen's presence, Naruto felt another. It was overwhelmingly powerful and monstrous. The cursed energy radiating from it was borderline demonic. While it was nowhere near his own immense power, it was disturbingly sinister.
Naruto's cursed energy was a deep, menacing purple; Satoru's was a serene sky-blue. This presence had cursed energy of a dark, blood-red hue—pure evil. Even though Naruto's energy reservoir seemed bottomless, this person's energy was too intense for any normal person to withstand.
But of course, this was no normal person.
As Naruto ascended the stairs, the suffocating presence grew even stronger. Just how powerful were they?
He was at the top stair when he heard voices.
"And then I was like, 'Ohhhh… I'm gonna die!' Then Naruto was like, 'Amaterasu!' Then Mahito was like, 'Oh shit…!' Then I was like—"
"We get it, idiot," Maki interrupted, rolling her eyes. "You've told us the story more than five times."
"But it doesn't change how amazing it was!" Yuji insisted.
"I expect no less from our teacher's nephew," a calm yet friendly-looking guy added. He wore a white long-sleeved Jujutsu button-up shirt and black pants. A long bag on his back—containing a katana, perhaps?
At that moment, Naruto appeared. "Yo, hi everyone!"
Yuta stiffened, immediately taking a defensive stance. Naruto mirrored his posture while the others raised their eyebrows.
"Stay back, everyone," Yuta commanded authoritatively. "This person is extremely dangerous."
"Uh… Okkotsu-senpai," Naruto said, relaxing his stance upon recognizing the name. "That's Naruto."
"Oh," Yuta said, relaxing. He then offered Naruto a sheepish smile and stretched out a hand. "Yuta Okkotsu, pleasure to meet you."
Naruto grinned. "Tenodakume Gojo, but I go by Naruto! Nice to meet ya!"
Yuta's eyes narrowed slightly, still on edge. "Sorry, I've just never felt cursed energy like yours before."
"Well, I've got a lot of it," Naruto replied with a shrug. "No harm done."
The tension, however, didn't completely dissipate. Maki stepped forward. "So, are we done here, or do you two need to get something out of your systems?"
Yuta glanced at Maki, then back at Naruto. "A quick spar, just to be sure?"
Naruto's grin widened. "Sure thing, Eyebag-nii-chan."
Right at that moment, footsteps were heard and everyone looked at the stairs.
"Sunglasses-sensei!"
"Do not call me that, it's immature."
"Come on Nanami, he is a kid."
"Please don't speak Tsukumo,"
"Or what?"
"Just…"
"I know what type of women you like, Nanami. Mind if I share this little info with these kids?"
"Uh…" Yuji interrupted. "Shouldn't we head now?"
"Before that," Yuki said as she gave him a flying kiss. "Why don't we entertain ourselves a bit?"
"I am not telling what type of girls I like…" Nanami said.
"What do we have here…" a voice was heard and everyone saw two figures ascending by the stairs.
"Hakari-senpai! Kirara-senpai!" Naruto saw a man with dyed purple hair, thin eyebrows and a moustache. He had a tremendous cursed energy pool. The other one, Naruto noted was a female— his eyes scanned…enough, was very slim and had dark hair that reached her neck.
"Great! Now that everyone is here, let's have a match!" Yuki suggested.
"Great, I am in, what's the prize?" Hakari enquired we just slightly bored look on his face.
"Nothing!" Tsumuko Yuki grinned. "It will be an interesting match to see…"
"I am out," Hakari told her with an irritated tune.
"But I want to…" "I'll do it."
Both Naruto and Yuta spoke in unison.
"Well, well," Yuki smiled as Nanami sighed. "So the match between Grand Grade Sorcerer Naruto Gojo and special grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu begins now!"
The tension in the training ground of Tokyo Jujutsu High School was palpable as everyone assembled for the sparring match. The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows and bathing the field in a warm, golden glow. The air was thick with anticipation as the onlookers, including Nanami, Yuki Tsukumo, Hakari, Kirara, and a few other students, gathered around to witness the battle between two prodigies.
Naruto Gojo, a mere six-year-old boy with snow-white hair and shining amethyst eyes, stood calmly on one side of the field. Despite his youth, he exuded an aura of confidence and power, his Limitless and Infinity techniques humming beneath the surface. His stance was relaxed, yet every muscle in his small body seemed coiled and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
Across from him stood Yuta Okkotsu, a teenager with an intense gaze and a formidable presence. Yuta's mastery over various curse techniques, his cursed speech, advanced katana art, and reversed curse technique, made him a formidable opponent. The vengeful cursed spirit, Rika, loomed over him, ready to be unleashed.
Yuki Tsukumo, ever the provocateur, clapped her hands to get everyone's attention. "Alright, everyone! The match between Grand Grade Sorcerer Naruto Gojo and Special Grade Sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu begins now!"
A hush fell over the crowd as the combatants prepared to engage. Yuta drew his katana, the blade glinting menacingly in the fading light. He settled into a low, balanced stance, his eyes locked onto Naruto. Rika's presence behind him added a palpable weight to the air, her cursed energy swirling menacingly.
Naruto, on the other hand, simply stood there with an almost serene expression. His six eyes, glowing with a mysterious light, took in every detail of Yuta's stance and the surrounding environment. He raised a hand, beckoning Yuta to make the first move.
Yuta didn't hesitate. He surged forward, closing the distance between them in an instant. His katana slashed through the air with incredible speed, aiming for Naruto's midsection. The sound of the blade cutting through the air was like a whisper of death.
But Naruto was faster. With a slight shift of his weight, he sidestepped the attack, his movements smooth and effortless. Yuta's blade passed harmlessly by, and Naruto countered with a swift palm strike to Yuta's chest. The blow landed with a resounding thud, sending Yuta skidding backward, but he quickly regained his footing.
Undeterred, Yuta pressed the attack. He unleashed a barrage of slashes and thrusts, each one precise and deadly. Naruto dodged and weaved through the onslaught, his movements a blur. It was as if he could see Yuta's attacks before they even happened, his six eyes granting him unparalleled perception.
From the sidelines, Nanami watched with a critical eye. "He's toying with him," he muttered, his arms crossed over his chest.
"Of course he is," Yuki replied with a smirk. "But it's only a matter of time before Naruto gets serious."
Yuta, realizing that conventional attacks wouldn't work, decided to change tactics. He channeled his cursed energy into his voice and shouted, "Stop!" The power of his cursed speech technique was undeniable, and for a moment, it seemed as if Naruto was frozen in place.
But only for a moment.
Naruto's eyes glowed brighter, and with a surge of his own cursed energy, he broke free from the paralysis. "Impressive," he said with a nod. "But not enough."
Yuta clenched his teeth and summoned Rika. The cursed spirit materialized fully, her presence an overwhelming force. With a roar, she lunged at Naruto, her massive claws slashing through the air. Naruto's form flickered, and he vanished, reappearing several feet away.
"Clone Technique!" he shouted, and suddenly, there were multiple Narutos on the field, each one identical to the original. They moved in perfect synchronization, their movements a dizzying dance of speed and precision.
Yuta swung his katana in wide arcs, cutting through the clones one by one, but they kept coming. Naruto's mastery of the clone technique was unparalleled, and for every clone Yuta destroyed, another two seemed to take its place.
"Enough of this!" Yuta shouted, his frustration evident. He gathered his cursed energy and unleashed a powerful wave, obliterating all the clones in a single, devastating attack.
The dust settled, and Naruto stood alone once more, unharmed and unimpressed. "You're strong, Eyebag-nii-chan," he said, his voice calm. "But it's time to end this."
Naruto raised his hand, and the air around him began to distort. "Blue," he intoned, and a sphere of intense gravitational force formed in his palm. He released it, and the sphere shot towards Yuta with incredible speed.
Yuta braced himself and called upon Rika to shield him. The cursed spirit interposed herself between Yuta and the incoming attack, her body absorbing the brunt of the impact. But the force was too great, and Rika was blasted backward, her form flickering.
Naruto didn't let up. He extended his hand again. "Red," he said, and a powerful repulsive force erupted from his palm, slamming into Yuta with the force of a freight train. Yuta was thrown across the field, crashing into the ground with bone-jarring force.
As Yuta struggled to rise, Naruto approached him, his expression still calm. "You fought well," he said. "But this is the end."
Yuta's eyes widened as Naruto's hand glowed with an ominous light. "Reversal: Red," Naruto said, and the combined force of attraction and repulsion surged forward, enveloping Yuta in a maelstrom of energy.
Yuta cried out as the energy overwhelmed him, and for a moment, it seemed as if he would be consumed by it. But then, miraculously, he managed to stabilize himself, using his own cursed energy to counteract the attack.
Naruto raised an eyebrow, impressed. "You're tougher than I thought," he admitted. "But can you handle this?"
He formed a Rasengan in his hand, the swirling sphere of condensed energy humming with power. In an instant, he was upon Yuta, driving the Rasengan into his chest. The force of the attack was devastating, and Yuta was sent flying once more, crashing into the ground with a thunderous impact.
This time, he didn't get up.
The field fell silent as the dust settled. Naruto stood over Yuta's prone form, his expression one of serene calm. He extended a hand, and Yuta, groaning in pain, took it. Naruto helped him to his feet, a small smile playing on his lips.
"You did well, Eyebag-nii-chan," Naruto said. "You're strong."
Yuta nodded, breathing heavily. "Thank you, Naruto," he said, his voice strained. "That was a good fight."
The onlookers, Maki nodded approvingly, while Yuji looked awestruck. Even Nanami, who rarely showed emotion, allowed himself a small nod of approval.
Hakari, who had been leaning against a tree with a bored expression, finally spoke up. "Well, that was something," he said, pushing himself off the tree. "I guess I'm glad I didn't join in."
Kirara nodded in agreement. "Yeah, fighting an upgraded version of sensei would be suicide," she said.
Yuki, however, was grinning from ear to ear. "That was fantastic!" she exclaimed. "I knew you two would put on a great show." She clapped her hands. "Now, let's go and meet Tengen-sama!"
"Finally!" Yuji sighed.
Naruto and Yuta exchanged a look, both of them smiling despite their exhaustion.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the training ground in twilight, the group began to disperse. Naruto and Yuta walked side by side, two large shadows on the grass.
