Well hello! Here is a new chapter of The Forest's Princess fanfiction. I took a little inspiration from Disney's Barve-movie for the subject of Friend owl's princess explanation to Clarice, and I also took a little inspiration from The Lion King 2, and Your name-manga, and Zodiac P.I-manga, whose rights I do not own. In this chapter, there is a name I came up with Ronno's mother, and Ronno's father. See you in the next chapter.
Clarice woke up one morning and walked to the entrance of the cave to find the ground covered in snow and cold everywhere.
"Mom, it's colder outside now than yesterday, and there's white everywhere", Clarice said.
"Well it's snowing", Tinker Bell said when she woke up.
"Snow?" Clarice repeated her mother's words, even though Clarice knew what the ground, white, and cold, but soft, frozen water was.
"Yes. Winter has come. This is the time of the year when snakes and some animals hibernate in sheltered places. And in winter, some birds that can't be here in the cold seasons leave here for warmer lands, returning only in the spring", Tinker Bell said. "It is the way of these animals to survive the cold of winter".
"I see. Mom, can I go out and play?" Clarice asked.
"Yes, but be careful", Tinker Bell said.
"Yes, mother", Clarice walked out of the cave, and after walking through the snow, she stopped to look at the footprints left in the snow by the snow ghosts.
Dump! A pile of snow fell on Clarice from a tree branch, but she got up from the pile of snow, and looked at the footprints on the ground.
"Those are rabbit footprints, and squirrel footprints. Oh yeah. Thumper was playing nearby in the Bambi- movie", Clarice remembered that thing, then walked forward. "And Flower is now hibernating at home".
Clarice walked through the snow until she saw Thumper gliding on the frozen lake:
"Morning, Thumper. Where are your little sister, and your parents?"
"Eating", said the Thumper.
"Where's the Flower?" Clarice asked.
"The flower is probably hibernating in its winter nest", Thumper said.
"Be careful", Clarice said. He still remembered quite clearly how he had hurt himself skating in the ice rink when he was still human. Once he had injured his knee after falling on the ice of the ice rink, when he had not yet mastered his skates properly, but when he had found the right skating rhythm, he had been able to control his skating better.
"Sure. Try it yourself, Clarice! Look! The water is hard!" Thumper stomped the ice with his back foot.
Clarice stepped onto the ice carefully, the mud still slipped.
"One step at a time. You can do it, Clarice!" Thumper said sliding in front of Clarice.
"Yes! I can do it!" Clarice decided, and was able to stand up on the ice. Finally, he slid on the ice carefully, and they ran right into the snow project. After leaving the ice, Clarice walked with Thumper in the snow:
"Where is the Flower's winter nest?"
"I never thought about where that nest was", Thumper said.
"Really? I think I found it", Clarice said, looking into the little hole where Flower was sleeping on top of a pile of leaves, using her tail as a blanket.
"Should I wake him up?" Thumper asked.
"If only we'd let him sleep", Clarice said.
"Is it spring yet?" Flower asked after waking up after hearing the voices of her friends.
"No. Winter just started", Clarice said.
"Are you hibernating?" Thumper asked Flower.
"Yes. Whoah!" Flower yawned as she sat up.
"Why are you hibernating?" Clarice asked.
"All flowers hibernate in winter. So good night", Flower fell asleep again, putting her tail as a blanket over her.
"Thumper, what do you think of The Great Prince of the Forest?" Clarice asked walking with Thumper in the snow.
"That he's a little scary when he's angry, but otherwise you don't see him very much", Thumber said.
"My mother said that The Great Prince of the Forest is my father. They say that father is not very good at social interaction with other deer, but according to mother's words, father has a soft heart", Clarice said. "I would like to see that side of my father".
"I know that The Great Prince of the Forest is your father, Clarice. My mother told me that before. If you want to know more about your father, let's talk to Friend owl, because Friend owl is your father's friend", Thumper said.
"Okay. Do you know where Friend owl lives?" Clarice asked.
"Yup", Thumber said.
"Then would you show me the way to Friend owl's home?" Clarice asked.
"Follow me, princess", Thumper walked forward in the woods, followed by Clarice, and they didn't see Tinker Bell following them.
After waiting for a while Clarice, and Thumper arrived in front of a big tree, in the hollow of which sat the familiar Friend owl, to whom The Great Prince of the Forest spoke.
"Good morning, Sir, and Friend owl", Clarice said.
"Hello, Clarice. What can I do for you?" Friend owl asked.
"Would you talk to Clarice? I need to talk to my partner somewhere further away. The subject I want to talk about with Gallant may not be suitable for children", Tinker Bell said walking over, and then walked in front of The Great Prince of the Forest.
"Mom?" Clarice looked at her mother. "How long did you follow us?"
"Ever since you left our home", Tinker Bell said.
"I see. I have a question for Friend owl", Clarice said as she watched her parents walk side by side elsewhere and could see her father smile at Clarice's mother who smiled at her mate. Clarice couldn't help but feel like an outsider as she wanted her father to smile at her sometimes, causing Clarice's ears to droop.
"Hm. I see", Gallant said, walking away beside his wife.
After Clarice was sure her parents were out of earshot, she cautiously looked around before looking at Friend owl:
"Friend owl, could you tell me something about my father, because Thumper told me that you are my father's friend?"
"Your father roams our forest, so he knows our forest well", Friend owl said.
"How long have you known my father?" Clarice asked.
"I met your father when I was still a young owl, and your father was a newborn fawn back then, princess. Your father used to be a bit shy, but he wanted to be like your grandfather Julius(Oc)", Friend owl said.
"What was my grandfather Julius like?" Clarice asked curiously as her ears perked back up in curiosity.
Friend owl smiled a little while thinking about Clarice's grandfather:
"Julius looked exactly like your father. He loved the whole forest, and was more open than your father".
"Really? Ever since you were little, dad has been someone who isn't very good in social situations?" Clarice asked.
Friend owl thought for a moment:
"Not really. Your father was a bit more open at one point, and happier, and laughed and smiled a lot at those times, until there was an escape situation in the meadow. My own father told me that. Most of the deer didn't go near your father because of that. That escape situation was about your father's mother".
"What happened to Julius's mate?" Clarice asked curiously.
"Well, she was your grandmother, so you have a right to know that. One early spring day, your grandmother Amaran, and your father were in the meadow eating fresh spring grass, and there was still snow in the meadow, but they weren't alone in the meadow that day", Friend owl said sadly. He still remembered that incident very clearly.
"Were there other deer besides my father, and my grandmother?" Clarice asked.
"No. Because there was an evil person there that day. More specifically, that evil person was a hunter. Amara heard the footsteps of that person quietly approaching Amara, and your father, and as a result, Amara told your father to quickly flee into the thicket. When your father, and Amara ran away, then they heard the sound of a gun shot, Amara shouted to your father like this:
"Faster! Don't look behind you! Run, Gallant, run!" Then another gunshot rang out. After running into the thicket, your father was relieved to escape, but when he got back to Amara's cave, your father saw that Amara was gone, and then went looking for your grandmother, screaming through the snow, and after the sun had set. At that point, Julius found your father, and said to your father like this:
"Your mother is not coming back. Man has taken your mother. Now you must be brave, and be able to walk alone. Come, my son. Come", Friend owl said. "Your father cried during that time, but followed your grandfather to Julius's cave".
"How did grandpa feel about what happened to grandma?" Crying Clarice asked as Thumper patted Clarice's left front leg comfortingly, lowering her ears like Clarice.
Clarise could imagine how young Gallant had run away from the hunter as fast as he could with his mother. And how Gallant had returned to his home, but then noticed that Amara was missing, after which Gallant had gone to look for his mother, and then heard from Julius that Amara had been caught by a hunter.
The situation in question vividly reminded Clarice of how Tinker Bell and Bambi had escaped from the hunter when they were in the meadow on a late winter day, and that in that situation only Bambi had managed to escape from the hunter.
"Julius was sad, but he did his best to take care of your father, and coached your father to grow up, and become stronger. Once, though, your father was careless, and walked almost straight into a human trap. It was the same human trap that had taken your grandmother away from our forest", Friend owl said.
"What was that trap like?" Clarice asked.
"Some hunters have a hunting whistle that looks like a tree branch, which they can use to mimic animal sounds to lure unsuspecting animals into walking straight into traps set by hunters. That's what happened to your father. Your father assumed the sound of that whistle was Amara's and ran towards that sound until your father reached a meadow, and remembered what had happened to Amara. Daddy was just returning to the forest when he heard that whistle again. When your father went to the meadow to find out if it was just his imagination playing tricks on him, but as a result, 3 dogs ran out of the forest on the opposite side of the meadow, which your father tried to escape, but then froze with fear and could not move. As a result, crows flew from the part of the forest from which the dogs had run, and flew to the part of the forest from which your father had gone to the meadow after hearing the sound of the deer whistle that I told you about before, and your grandfather heard the voices of those crows , and ran to the meadow where your grandfather had heard the dogs barking a little earlier, and your grandfather ran to the meadow saving your father, and then escaping with your father back into the woods after the gun went off. Your grandfather scolded your father for being careless, and told you what had caused the deer sound your father heard earlier, but then your grandfather apologized to your father for yelling at your father. Julius, and your father went home, and talked more about the matter. I believe your father knew at that point that Amara was never coming back. Julius told your father at that point that it's best to leave bad things in the past, but that happy memories should be cherished. Your grandfather began to advise your father on different ways to identify the traps set by people in the forest, and to avoid those traps. Your father tried to become an excellent prince, because before the name of The Great Prince of the Forest, the strongest, bravest, and wisest deer in the forest was called the Prince of the Forest, or the queen. Your dad isn't very good at socializing with other deer, but he has a soft heart, which you've probably already heard from your mom", Friend owl said.
"Yes. Mother said so", Clarice said.
"Well, your father took the words he heard from your grandfather very seriously, and that's why the other Vasa were unwilling to play with him, finding your father boring. Of course, they had heard about your grandmother, and didn't know how to approach your father as a result of that. However, your mother didn't give up after meeting your father, and managed to eventually becoming friends with your father(Taken from Valssi's Aika manga, which I don't own the rights to). Rumor has it that your father and mother met in some secret place that only your parents know. Your father had just received your horn. And after becoming friends with your mother, your father gradually began to open up to others, but even so, he has only opened up to a few, your mother being one of them. There is a lot expected of your father, and he is only trying to live up to those expectations, as everyone expects your father to be able to protect the forest. Even you are expected to do the same when you are queen, as protecting the forest is a big responsibility(Taken from The Lion Guard show, to which I do not own the rights.) But I'm sure your father cares about you, Clarice. Your father is just not very good in social situations with other deer. By the way, rumor has it that your grandfather Julius had some secret stash in our forest that he didn't tell others about. I believe he went there from time to time to think about some things. Maybe your father has been looking for it, your grandfather's secret hideout while wandering in our forests", Friend owl said. "I believe that secret hideout will be found at some point".
"Grandpa's secret hideout?" Clarice thought curiously. "What could my grandmother Amara have been like?"
"Have you seen one thing about Clarice?" Tinker Bell asked, looking at her mate standing to her left, then leaned against Gallant's neck. "He's the same as you when you were little".
Gallant looked at his wife in silence, thinking at the same time of his daughter.
"I think Clarice will still make an excellent queen. I have a feeling our daughter will want to ask you something at some point", Tinker Bell said, then licked Gallant's left cheek lightly as she stood with Gallant in a tree break and looked at the snowy forest.
"When the time comes, I'll answer those questions. I'll miss you Tinker Bell", Gallant said.
"I see. I've missed you. I don't blame you for fulfilling the duties of a prince", Tinker Bell said.
"Thank you", Gallant said.
"Clarice said she wanted to be just like you, and me, when she grew up", Tinker Bell said.
Gallant smiled at that.
"I know you don't want to talk about what happened to your mother, but doesn't Clarice look a little like Amara?" Tinker Bell asked.
"Yes. She really looks like my mother", Gallant said.
Tinker Bell smiled, and kicked some snow on Gallant. Splash!
Gallant kicked the snow at Tinker Bell, but Tinker Bell dodged, and quickly ran forward, beckoning Gallant to race with Tinker Bell.
Gallant ran a race with his mate.
"How often did we run a race when we were jackasses?" Tinker Bell asked Gallant.
"You wanted to pass me in running races every chance you got, if I remember correctly", Gallant said trying to pass Tinker Bell in a running race.
At last Tinker Bell stopped, and as a result made Gallant stop, and then Tinker Bell leaned her neck against Gallant's neck, and knocked them both into the snow, and they rolled in the snow for a little while until they lay side by side in the snow, and then Tinker Bell leaned against Gallant's neck:
"I'm sure your father would be proud to see Clarice. Do you remember how Julius smiled when we trotted down the hill directly in front of him after a running race?"
"How could I forget that?" Gallant asked with a smile.
"Clarice, your father used to be told that it was the females's job to take care of the chicks", Friend owl said.
"I see. What was my grandmother Amara like?" Clarice asked.
"Share what kind? Hm. Wait...Heh! Actually, Amara reminded you with her eyes. Like your grandfather, Amara cared about the forest very much, and sometimes played with her son, loving her son very much, advising your father on different things", Friend owl said.
"I see. Friend owl, when I grow up I want to be just like my mom, and dad", Clarice said.
"I believe you will achieve that goal. Don't rush anything though. And try to avoid the announcement made by the groundhog if you get the chance", Friend owl said.
"A report made by groundhog?" Clarice asked.
"I heard about it from my mother. My mother says that at one point in the winter, the groundhog walks out of its hole, and tries to find out if the groundhog sees its shadow or not. If the groundhog sees its shadow, then winter continues, but if the groundhog does not see its shadow, then it is spring coming", Thumper said. "That day is called Groundhog Day".
"I hope the groundhog will see his shadow when that event comes this winter so I don't have to listen to one of the birds singing to disturb my sleep, because most owls sleep during the day. Same thing every spring", Friend owl said looking discouraged, and depressed.
"What happens during that time?" Clarice asked, though she knew full well what Friend owl was talking about.
"You're still too young to hear about it, princess. But because of it, your parents are a couple now, even though I tried to warn your father about it, and your father insisted that it wouldn't happen to your father, but whatever happened, when your father met your mother again, and I dare say, that it happened in their hideout", Friend owl said looking sour.
"Friend owl, do my parents have siblings?" Clarice asked, changing the subject.
"It isn't", Friend owl said.
"Alright. Could you tell me anything else about my parents? How did my parents act after they became friends?" Clarice asked.
"They talked, and ran a race at times. I hear you do that with your new friends", Friend owl said.
"Yes", Clarice said.
"The forest is very beautiful", Tinker Bell said as she lay next to Gallant, dozing in front of a tree.
The sunlight made the snowy forest sparkle here and there.
Tinker Bell licked Gallant's cheek lightly, then leaned against Gallant's neck lightly as she closed her eyes.
"Gallant, do you remember the place where we met?" Tinker Bell asked after opening her eyes and looked at her husband.
"Yes I remember", Gallant said.
"I'm sure Clarice would like it. Will you promise to show our daughter that place sometime?" Tinker Bell asked.
"Yes when she is old enough", Gallant said.
"Thank you", Tinker Bell said, leaning against Gallant's neck.
Gallant smiled.
Tinker Bell opened her eyes, and stood up to run forward with Gallant again.
"Friend owl, what do you think of Princess Anne?" Clarice asked.
"Anne was spirited, and somewhat of a trouble maker, but a good friend", Friend owl said.
"I asked, because I heard some of the male-deer say in the fall how Anne hated the limited life of a princess, and ran away whenever she got the chance", Clarice said.
"Yes. That is true", Friend owl said.
"What was he like growing up?" Clarice asked.
"Well, as she grew up, Anne became moderate, but she still retained some of her leftist temperament, and once defeated a male in a fight after challenging Anne to a fight with that male. The said male was horribly embarrassed after that. Heh heh!" Friend owl chuckled.
"Was your father Anne's friend?" Clarice asked.
"It was", Friend owl said.
"Did anyone bully Anne when Anne was left? If so, how did Anne react to it?" Clarice asked.
"Some people teased her, assuming that Anne wouldn't do well in her future role as Forest Princess because of her adventurous nature, but Anne pounced on them", Friend owl said. "Anne's bullying ended there, because those who bullied her were so scared of how badly Anne had hurt them during the fight between them. Heh heh!"
Clarice was surprised.
"Heh heh!" Tinker Bell laughed as she stopped on top of a hill with Gallant, stood up on her hind legs leaning against Gallant's upper body, keeping her front legs close to Gallant's sides as Gallant did the same, and then they rolled down the hill until they fell straight into a pile of snow with Tinker Bell lying underneath Gallant, and then Tinker Bell Gallant's cheek lightly, and smiled at Gallant as Gallant looked at his wife curiously.
"You know me too well", Gallant said, lightly licking Tinker Bell's neck.
"And you know me too well", Tinker Bell said, licking Gallant's neck.
"Friend owl, I would like to ask you one more thing. Have you ever seen my father smile when he was with my mother?" Clarice asked.
"Of course I am", Friend owl said. "The first time was after your father had participated in his first antler fight. Some say that your mother is the only deer that your father smiles at. Why did you ask, princess?"
"I was just thinking about how I could make my father be proud of me and smile at me. What should I do to achieve that goal? I wouldn't want my father to think of me as a helpless, weak fawn", Clarice said.
"Heh heh! Now you sound just like your father. Your father once wanted your grandfather to be proud of your father, and did everything to please your father", Friend owl smiled.
"I see. Well, what should I do to achieve my goal I just said?" Clarice asked. She tried to imagine the young Gallant trying to imitate Julius's lofty gait, but it was so difficult to picture that thing that Clarice began to laugh:
"Heh heh! Sorry, but it's a bit hard for me to imagine my young father imitating my grandfather's lofty walk".
"Yes. It's hard to imagine when you have never seen it happen", Friend owl said.
"I see. Well, how do I get my father to be proud of me, and smile at me. What should I do to achieve that goal? I wouldn't want him to think of me as a helpless, weak fawn", Clarice said.
"Well maybe if you're a perfect princess, your father will be proud of you at some point", Friend owl suggested.
"Alright. I'll try that. Wait a minute! What's a flawless princess like?" Clarice asked.
"Well a blameless princess keeps her dignity by walking tall, and taking care of her forest, and the people of her forest, and a blameless princess doesn't jump wildly around screaming too loudly, and a blameless princess wakes up early in the morning. A blameless princess doesn't gobble up food. She's kind, careful, moderate, tries to remain outwardly pure. And above all, a princess strives to be perfect. The princess must know her own forest well", Friend owl said.
"So the princess has a lot to remember", Clarice said. "Thanks to watching the Bambi-movies, and Bambi-book I already understand what kind of behavior is expected from the prince, and princess. That's why I didn't expect the prince, or princess tasks to be easy."
"How do you even know about a lofty walk?" Friend owl asked.
"Well, when I met my father for the first time officially in the meadow last summer, he walked to the meadow very proudly before stopping, and then looked at me while the others looked at him very quietly. Proud was the right word to describe his walk then, because I don't know any other word to describe my father that walk. He is said to be very brave, and very wise", Clarice said.
"Well, that's why some people believe he's not afraid of anything", Friend owl said. "Wait a minute! You asked me earlier if someone was bullying Anne. How do you know about bullying?"
"Well, last fall I heard some males talking about Anne in a nasty way, and Thrumber told me earlier that there is a nasty, green-eyed fawn living in our forest, who is mean to others, and always bullies others by calling them names, speaking rudely to others, and challenging other fawns to fights", Clarice said after remembering the conversation she had with her friend a couple of months ago about the fawn, which Clarice assumed was Ronno.
"That's what I said", Thrumber said as he remembered the matter.
"That's right. I think you're talking about Ronno now. You should stay away from that brash fawn to avoid getting into trouble. He's disrespectful to everyone. Among others, he's disrespectful even to his mother Acacia. Now that's not surprising at all when you consider that, who is Ronno's father. Ronno's father bullied nimittäin others every chance he got when he was a fawn, and he still does it. He probably advised Ronno to bully others whenever possible, because Ronno's father enjoys torturing others. As fawn, he already bullied one deer more than our forest other animals, and once put that deer's life in danger, from which the father of that foal fortunately saved his son", Friend owl said.
"I see. I'm trying to stay away from that Ronno. Who was the bastard that Ronno's father bullied the most?" Clarice asked.
"I'll tell you at some other point, and you already know that deer that Ronno's father bullied the most. Ronno's father still talks rudely about the deer that he bullied the most when he was a vasa, and doesn't hide it in any way. He even does it in the ear of that deer", Friend owl said.
"It's a pity for that deer-grabber that Ronno's father bullied. Have Ronno, and his father been rude even to you?" Clarice asked. Clarice tried to imagine who was the deer that Ronno's father had bullied the most, but it was a little difficult, because she didn't know much about the deer except that it was a male.
"I would probably be the only exception among the animals in our forest, if they hadn't been rude to me like the other animals", Friend owl said.
"In what way have they been rude to you?" Clarice asked.
"Calling me like this "Know it all bird", Friend owl said. "Sometimes Ronno's father has scratched his horns on the trees near my home tree very loudly, deliberately watching over me during the day, and he talks to me rudely like Ronno".
"I see. Isn't my mother one of those animals that Ronno's father bullied when he was a fawn?" Clarice asked.
"Not that I know of", Friend owl said.
"What is Ronno's mother Acacia like?" Thrumber asked.
"Unlike her husband, Acacia is a kind deer who tries to keep Ronno out of mischief. As a result, Ronno talks rudely to his mother", Friend owl said. "Acacia feels sorry because her husband, and son are bullies".
An exhausted Tinker Bell lay next to Gallant in the snow.
"Your fur is all sweaty", Gallant said, lightly licking Tinker Bell's neck clean of sweat.
"The same can be said for you", Tinker Bell licked Gallant's cheek lightly. "Clarice is clearly the way you were when you were little".
"That's the scary part. Do you remember all the dangers we got into when we were Clarice's age?" Gallant asked.
"You mean the dangers you put us in?" Tinker Bell asked, leaning against Gallant's neck at the same time.
"You clearly have something on your mind", Gallant said looked his mate.
"Not really. Nyt you only look like that when something is weighing on your mind. Has Ronno's father Champ spoken rudely about you again in your ear?" Tinker Bell asked seeing a slightly sad look in Gallant's eyes that Tinker Bell only saw in her husband's eyes during the times Champ had spoken rudely about Gallant in Gallant's ear. Tinker Bell turned to look at her husband as Gallant looked at her, causing them to accidentally kiss.
Gallant didn't mind the accidental kiss, but he instead turned it into a passionate kiss pressing.
Tinker Bell leaned more against Gallant:
"What do you think? Is this winter going to be very cold?"
"Probably. Your assumption about Champ was spot on", Gallant said, lightly licking Tinker Bell's neck. "He syytti again me of, that how they say I embarrassed him long ago".
"Don't now. He himself chased you while you were a bum, and fell into a muddy ditch as a result", Tinker Belle said. Tinker Bell smiled at Gallant.
Gallant smiled at Tinker Bell.
"You know how to make me think of anything but Champ's insolence", Gallant told his wife
Tinker Bell licked Gallant's neck lightly, pressing herself more against Gallant, enjoying this moment with full sips.
"Tinker Bell, I couldn't even imagine any other female but you to be by my side as the Great Princess of the Forest", Gallant said, lightly licking Tinker Bell's neck.
"I couldn't imagine being anyone but your wife, Gallant", Tinker Bell said with a slightly flattered smile.
"Friend owl, what was Princess Anne's father's name?" Clarice asked.
"From what I heard his name was Felix", Friend owl said after thinking about the matter for a while.
"What was Felix like?" Clarice asked.
"A little anti-social, but there were times when he would smile", Friend owl said. "And Anne was the mother of your grandfather Julius".
"I see. By the way, could you tell me what you know about the kind of mother Anne was to her son Julius?" Clarice asked.
"Anne was a good mother to Julius and spent as much time with her son as possible. She mourned, I believe, how limited her own time was due to her duties as a princess, as a result of which she did not always have time to spend with her son", Friend the owl said.
"I see. My mother said that my father is the first to receive the title of The Great Prince of the Forest, but what is the name of the forest protector's mate known in the forest no?" Clarice asked.
"Heh heh! Before that title was queen, or princess of the forest, but when your grandfather gave your father the title of The Great Prince of the Forest, your mother also started to be called The Great Princess of the Forest. That will one day be your title too", Friend owl said.
"Really?" Clarice asked. "Even before that, however, I would like my father to be proud of me".
"I'm sure you'll succeed at it, as long as you try hard enough", Friend owl said.
"Alright. I'm going to be the perfect princess", Clarice said.
"Are you still upset about how rude Champ talked about you earlier honey?" Tinker Bell asked looking at Gallant as they lay still in the snow, leaning against each other.
Even though Tinker Bell's fur was now sweaty, and messy, and the winter cold wind swept over them, Tinker Bell felt really warm now thanks to how much she was now leaning against her partner.
"Gallant, I'm your wife, so you don't have to keep up your precious prince facade with me while we're just the two of us", Tinker Bell said with a small smile, and Gallant's soft, slightly sweaty, and messy fur felt really warm now, so Tinker Bell pressed more against Gallant due to the cold wind, shivering slightly from the cold.
"It doesn't bother me so much anymore, thanks to you, my Great Princess of the Forest. You're right about keeping that precious prince facade, though. I've just used it so much that I'm all too used to it. Regardless, I love you very much, Tinker Bell", Gallant said, lightly licking Tinker Bell's neck.
"I love you, Gallant. By the way, I think our daughter would love to spend time with you. Could you spend time with Clarice sometime? I would like to spend time with the three of us sometime", Tinker Bell.
"Yes. I agree", Gallant said.
"Thank you very much", Tinker Bell said with a smile.
"Tinker Bell, I love you so much", Gallant said, still lightly licking Tinker Bell's sweaty neck clean.
Tinker Bell smiled at Gallant.
"Friend owl, who will protect the protector of our forest as he protects our forest?" Clarice asked, thinking about her father's mission at the same time.
"Friend owl, who will protect the protector of our forest as he protects our forest?" Clarice asked, thinking about her father's mission at the same time.
"Everyone assumes your father can do it on his own. So a protector of the forest must be physically strong", Friend owl said.
"I see. I don't think I'll look for my parents, lest their conversation be interrupted. Friend owl, have you ever seen any predators in our forest?" Clarice asked.
"Well, I've seen wolves in our forest", Friend owl said. "How do you know about predators?"
"I told Clarice about them about a couple of months ago", Thrumber said remembering the matter. "Have you ever seen bears in our forest?"
"Maybe a couple of times. By the way, when your father was sad about what happened to Amara, your grandfather said this:
"Gallant, leave the bad memories of the past in the past. A prince never looks back, but always forward". What your grandfather meant was how your father must leave the bad memories in the past, and cherish his happy memories, and choose a bright future, as your father planned to take revenge on the hunter who had taken your grandmother Amara. Julius even said this:
"Gallant, you must not tarnish your future with some silly grudge. Choose a bright future, and you will surely be a winner. It is true that it is easy for others to become bitter, but that only makes it harder to move forward. That is why no one should tarnish their future with some silly grudge". Could your father have forgotten that matter at some point, or maybe misinterpreted it?" Friend owl asked.
"Friend owl, is my mom the only one my dad cares about?" Clarice asked thinking about that as she remembered seeing Gallant smile at Tinker Bell earlier.
Clarices therefore felt really bad about that thing when she remembered how sad Gallant had always looked in Bambi 2-movie when Bambi's mother was mentioned. As a result, Clarice had realized how special the deer Tinker Bell had been to Gallant, so Clarice wanted to understand her current parents really well so she could earn their pride.
"It wasn't just your mother, it was you, his parents, and a few selected deer that are his friends", Friend owl said.
Clarice felt better immediately:
"Father, and mother seem to have a lot to talk about now, because my parents have been away for a long time".
"They were apart for awhile, so it's going to be a long time since they last talked properly", Friend owl said.
"I see. By the way, did dad ever have nightmares about what happened to my grandma?" Clarice asked.
"I believe it was at one point", Friend owl said.
"Alright. Look, Friend owl!" Clarice screamed as she saw the northern lights in the sky. "Very beautiful!"
"Heh heh! You see those in cold weather", Friend owl said with a smile.
"Gallant-honey, look", Tinker Bell said looking at the blue-green northern lights in the sky and finally fell asleep leaning against Gallant's upper body.
