"Guess what? We are pregnant!" Alice announced and I felt myself getting stiffened.

I still remembered what Isabella had said... She said she still couldn't hear the news about any of her friends or colleagues getting pregnant without feeling heartbroken about the loss of our baby...

"You okay?" I tightened my grip on her and kissed her head.

"Yeah..." she turned around and smiled reassuringly at me, but I wasn't sure...

I was happy for Alice and Jasper, but this would cause so much pain to Isabella...

"You're not lying, right?" I asked her when we were alone that evening. I have been feeling restless ever since I heard the news. Yes, I was probably a pathetic brother, but Isabella's feelings were the only thing that mattered to me.

"I promise... I'm not," she smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"This is Alice... I love Alice! How could I be jealous of her happiness?" she smiled, "I know what I've said before... But things and feelings change... Yes, there was a time I used to be jealous of everyone, and I'm so ashamed of myself for feeling like that... But I don't feel like that anymore!"

"Are you sure you're not lying?" I asked.

"I am not..." she smiled, "There used to be a time I didn't see myself ever trying for another baby... But things have changed... I can picture myself with a baby again..."

"Really?" That brought a smile to my face.

"Yes..." She smiled, "I can see us becoming parents a few years down the road... And I can't wait!"

I found that overwhelming for some reasons...

I couldn't believe we were finally here after what we have been through...

I couldn't believe I was lucky enough to get another chance...

I couldn't believe we were ready to mention the word 'baby', but we weren't just sad, angry or heartbroken when we mentioned that... We were actually talking about the future... A future full of hopes and new beginnings!

"You're going to be an amazing mother..." I said.

"And you're going to be an amazing father! I know it!" she smiled.
