Kate's POV

Tonight wasn't just the ordinary Friday night clubhouse party, Kozik was patching over from Tacoma to Charming tonight. Patch-over parties were huge. More booze, more high-strung men, more half-naked women walking around, just more everything in general. It was like a Friday night on Coke. The out-of-town charters were just starting to roll in around 3'o clock. I loved our parties more than anyone, but ttonight I was excited for my girls to finally be here. It had been almost 4 years since I'd seen them and I sure as hell needed them now. Shit was getting rough with the club and I needed some peace.

As I sat at the bar and sipped on a beer waiting for church to end my phone lit up.

3:30 pm

Rynn- Hey babe we're on our way about 20 minutes from the clubhouse. I'll be in a black Tahoe.

Kate- Yay! Can't wait to see you. I'll be out there waiting.

I hesitated if I should go tell Rat that I was expecting people or if I should wait for Tig to come out of church…"I better go tell Rat." I said more to myself than anyone else. "Chucky, will you tell Tig I went outside to wait for Rynn when he comes out?"

"I can do that, Ms. Kate," Chucky answered as he finished drying the glass in his hand.

I walked outside taking in just how many people were already there. I made my way over to the little building that was beside the gate to find Rat.

"Hey, Rat!" I yelled.

"Hey, Kate. What's up? Everything okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, everything's good. I have someone coming in about 15 mins Should be in a black Tahoe."

"Sure thing Kate!"

I walked over to the garage since it was less noisy leaning against the door and staring out to the gate I felt arms slip around my waist. "Alexander Trager that better be you," I said looking down and seeing the rings on his hands clarifying that it was indeed him. "Who else would it be babydoll?"

"What are you doing clear over here by yourself? You didn't even hear me come up behind you."

"Rynn should be pulling in wanted to make sure I was out here and that she could see me."

About that time Rat yelled. "Kate your friends here!"

I grabbed Tig's hand and started towards the gates.

Rat opened the gate and there they were. My best friend, my niece, and my adoptive momma.

The smile on my face couldn't get any bigger. I walked over to a parking spot waiting for them to get out.

-Rynn's POV-

After an 8-hour travel day, I was so thankful to see the words Teller-Morrow Auto. I had sent a text to Kate about 20 minutes ago letting her know we were close. It had been one of the longest days. We had layovers and Rayne was grumpy, mom was grouchy cause she hadn't smoked all day;

Lord knows we all needed something, Mom a joint, me a drink, and Rayne a bath and a nap.

We pulled up to the building and it was locked up tighter than Fort Knox which honestly made me feel a lot better. I could tell they took safety seriously and I respected that.

A little scrawny guy opened up the gates and there she stood in all her glory my Kate Bugg!

I couldn't help it I was the first one out of the car running towards Kate embracing her.

"Babydoll you have no idea how much I've been missing you!" I said squeezing her tight.

We let go of each other and walked over to the passenger side. Mom and Rayne were standing together near the trunk. "My darling Kate, oh how we missed you," Mom said hugging her as well. "I've got something for you, momma," Kate said pulling a joint out of her bra, lighting it, and passing it to Mom. "Oh, how I need this!" Mom said taking a pull from the joint, forgetting about anything else.

"My little Raynie how you've grown so much!" Kate said picking her up in a bear hug. "There are a couple of boys your age at the play area if you would like to go play, it's right over there," Kate said pointing to a playset where 2 little blonde-headed boys were running around chasing each other.

"Can I Mom?" Rayne asked me.

"Of course. Go ahead."

"Becky!" Kate yelled. The red-headed girl walks over from the playset where she is watching the boys.

"What's up, Kate?"

"This here is my niece, Rayne, would you take her over and introduce her to the boys so they can play while I help her momma?"

"Of course! Come on honey." Becky said taking Rayne by the hand and leading her back over.

Mom had wandered off and found herself a picnic table to sit down and enjoy her joint.

"Ready to meet the fam?" Kate asked.

"I'd liked to go to the hotel and get cleaned up beforehand," I told her looking myself over.

I was in yoga pants and a big baggy Harley t-shirt with my hair in a messy bun on top of my head.

"I told ya you ain't staying at no damn hotel. Here are the keys to my place I'll send you the address. You take momma and Rayne to the house get cleaned up and get back here food should be done by the time you get back so y'all can get a warm meal in your belly before you start drinking." Kate said with that shit-eating grin.

I was going to argue that I wasn't drinking but it wouldn't have done any good. "Okay, thank you again, Kate. I owe you big!"

"You can pay me back by relaxing and enjoying yourself tonight!"

"What would I do without you?" I asked walking backward to the Tahoe to get Mom and Rayne.

The drive was short all of maybe 20 minutes. "Rayne, did you have fun playing at the playground?" I asked.

"Yeah, the older boy's name is Abel he's the same age as me, and his little brother's name is Thomas, and he's 5. Abel invited me over for ice cream and a play date one day." She said with a smile on her face.

"He did?" I asked. "Well that's awfully nice of him, look at you making friends already." It honestly warmed my momma's heart to hear my girl so happy.

I followed Kate's directions, bringing me to a quaint little blue house with white trim, and a decent size porch with a swing. I was a cute little place I thought while I pulled in the driveway.

"Stay here while I go try to unlock the door and make sure it's the right place," I told Mom and Rayne.

I walked up to the porch opening the screen door and trying the key into the lock. I left the door open as I went back to help them get their bags out of the car. We all walked into the house and were immediately in the living room and met with stairs. There was a sectional couch and a TV stand in the living room as well as two big windows that looked out onto the porch. We sat our bags down as I called Kate asking where our rooms were.

"Hey Babe what room is ours?" I asked as soon as she answered.

"Your mom and Raynes are upstairs to the right. Yours is downstairs down the hall to the right. It's across from Hap's room when he stays."

"Damn, I didn't think this house was that big!" I said laughing.

"Yeah, four beds three baths." She laughed.

"Okay, we're gonna get settled in. I'm not sure if Mom and Ray are gonna come back with me they're tired." I told her as Mom and Ray went upstairs.

"Okay as long as you are! Tell mom Happy has a stash draw in his room on top of his dresser if she needs a j."

"Okay I'm going to go shower and I'll be there soon," I told her hanging up the phone.

I walked into my room and was surprised by how big it was. There was a window looking out to the front yard with a queen size bed facing the window, a TV on a dresser to the left of the window, and a nightstand on each side of the bed with a lamp and clock on top. To the right of the bed was a small closet. I put my suitcase on the bed, opening it I took out my toiletry bag and dug through the bag looking for some clothes. I finally decided on a black pleather bodysuit, and black ripped skinny jeans, and thank God I grabbed my black moto boots. I laid the clothes out on the bed and went to get a nice hot shower.

I stripped out of my sweat pants and t-shirt and stepped into the hot water letting it run all over my body feeling it relax all the muscles in my shoulders. I stood there for a while letting the water take away all the stress when my phone chimed bringing me back into reality. Kate was waiting. I hurried and washed my body in my favorite shower gel Forever Red by Bath and Body Works, along with washing my hair. I stepped out and dried off after hearing the second ding from my phone.

"Damn, Kate I'm coming!" I said out loud.

I put on a black matching bra and panty set and walked over to my room. I hurried and got dressed sprayed my perfume that matched my shower gel, put on my boots, and slid on some silver jewelry then headed to check on Mom and Ray before I left.

"Hey, you guys need anything before I leave?" I asked them.

"I think we're okay, maybe a J?" Mom said watching a show on TV with Rayne.

"I gotcha, Kate said that a dude that stays here keeps a stash jar. I'll go get that and place an order for pizza to be delivered. How's that sound?" I asked.

"Sounds good momma. Can you get breadsticks too?" Rayne asked sweetly.

"Absolutely! "

I made my way back downstairs to Happy's room googling the nearest pizza place and calling to place an order.

I held the phone between my shoulder and face as I talked and looked for this "Stash Box". I was surprised by the room this biker kept. The bed was made, no clothes lying around, everything neatly in a row on his dresser, books on his nightstand. The only thing on the dresser was body spray, deodorant, and an unopened beer, which I found strange until I picked it up. It was a hollowed-out can..a stash can. I giggled. A big bad biker keeps his joints in a decoy can. I pull a joint out and put it back in its spot heading upstairs to give it along with some money to Mom.

"Okay, there's enough money there for pizza and tip. Keep your piece on you when you answer the door and in the nightstand." I told her worried about leaving them alone in a strange place.

"Yess Mom." My mom said being a smartass.

We didn't normally carry on us but we always had it nearby something my dad taught all of us, never trust anyone.

"Haha," I said making a face to her.

"I love you and if you need anything at all call me! I'll lock the door when I leave." I told them giving Rayne kisses.

"We'll be fine. Go have fun and enjoy yourself." Mom said shoving me out the bedroom door.

I pulled back into the clubhouse and it was really in full swing. Barrels used as firepits were spread out throughout the lot multiple people standing around each of them. Music blaring echoing off of the garage bays. I sat in the car for a couple of minutes putting on some foundation and eyeliner, honestly, I was just taking a minute to breathe the past week has just been a whole lot. I finished my makeup took a deep breath and got out of the Tahoe.

Walking across the lot guys were cat calling me and honestly, it made me feel good and gave me a little pep in my step. It had been a long time since I had got any man's attention. I continued my walk to find Kate my head held high and an extra swing to my hips.

Kate POV

Tig, Happy, Juice, Kozik, and I sat at a picnic table right outside the clubhouse doors. Tig and Koz arguing about some dumb shit. Happy smoking a cigarette trying to ignore them. Juice and I laughing at the whole thing.

Something well should I say someone caught Koz's attention, damn dude was like a squirrel.

"I'd like to get a piece of that for my celebration," Kozik said looking out towards the gates.

"You and me both." Juice chimed in.

"Dibs!" Kozik yelled.

"Aint neither one of you getting her, she'd chew you up and spit you out!" I said laughing.

"You know her? I ain't never seen her around here before." Kozik asked.

"Yeah, I know her dummy. That's Rynn." I said slapping him upside the head.

"Your friend that's moving here?" He asked.

"Yes. Dumbass. "

"Rynn!" I yelled.

Rynn POV

I was looking all over and couldn't find Kate until finally I heard her yell.

"Rynn!" Kate yelled.

I picked up my pace walking over to her and the men surrounding her. It was like she was a famous person with a bunch of body guards.

"Finally!" Kate said hugging me.

"Sorry, I had to make sure that Mom and Ray were settled in, ordered them pizza, and made sure everything was good. And do you think I just wake up like this?"

"Bitch, I know you wake up like that!" Kate said laughing.

"Well, Kathryn it's now time to meet my boys."

"This is my ol' man Tig," she said pointing to the curly-haired man.

"Nice to meet you, darling. I've heard all about yours an Kate's antics' " Tig said giving me a hug with a laugh.

"Oh, I've heard all about you too Tigger," I said laughing giving Kate a wink. Kate nudged me in the side. "Shut up!" She said blushing.

"This here is the reason for the party tonight. Kozik." She pointed to a tall blonde-headed man who looked more like she belonged on the coast surfing than on the streets of charming riding a motorcycle.

"You could be my prize tonight there lovey, be a great start to a new beginning." He said pushing up on me.

"I'm going to have to pass on that one sweetheart. Surfer boy isn't my type. " I said patting his cheek.

Everyone but him was laughing, well Happy wasn't laughing but he had a smirk on his face.

"That goofy guy there is Juice he's the one helping you with finding a house and the bar."

"I appreciate your help so much Juice! Honestly, I wouldn't know where to start!" I told him hugging him.

"It's no problem." He said blushing after I pulled back from him. I don't think it was from the hug but more from my boobs being on full display and I kind of had them pushed up against him.

"And that grumpy old man over there is Happy. He'll be a roommate from time to time."

"Oh, yeah I knew it had to be you. You smell like your room." "That probably sounded weird." I said laughing. Now I was the one blushing. He gave me a serious look raising his eyebrow.

"Kate told me you had a stash of joints in your room and to help myself. So I owe you. Let me know how I can repay you." I said giving him a sultry grin.

"I'm sure we can work something out." He said leaning back against the table and winking at me.

Did I just fucking blush? What the Fuck? Happy was a sexy ass man that's for sure. That dark tan skin, the tattoos littering his body, the way his jeans hung on his hips. Fuck. The look in his eyes, oh the things this man could do to me! Oh Lord, But what got me the most was his scent. He smelt like bourbon and sandalwood with a hint of motor oil and cigarettes. This man was going to be trouble.

"So I'm here now what?" I said looking at Kate.

"Now, We party! Let's go get you a drink!" She yelled and guided me towards the clubhouse.

Walking up to the bar there was an older man with a bottle of tequila beside him along with an oxygen tank sitting at the end of it and a scrawny blonde hair guy behind it.

"Sack!" Kate yelled.

"What can I get ya Kate?" He asked ignoring the other girls trying to get drinks.

Okay, so my girl has pull here.

"Get all of us a shot of Jack and a beer."

I hadn't realized that all of the guys had followed us in and were now standing behind us all except Happy and Tig. Tig had taken the stool next to Kate and Happy the one next to me.

Happy pulled out the stool in front of me. "Sit," he said.

I was never one to listen to what a man told me to do but for some reason, I did what he said and sat.

Sack lined the shots and beers in front of us, each grabbing a shot.

We all raised our glasses. Kate looked at me and I looked at her both of us having that grin on our faces we knew what to do.

"Here's to the women who have no fear

They wear men's clothes and drink men's beer

But when they kiss they kiss so sweet

They make things stand that have no feet"

We both said together downing our shots, after slamming the glasses down we leaned over and kissed.

It had been a thing we've done since we met. The first shot always gets a kiss.

Tig looked over to Happy. "It's going to be a good night, brother." Happy raised his beer to that with a smirk on his face. "That it is." He said looking at Rynn. She was throwing her head back laughing at something Kate had said and in that moment he saw how beautiful she truly was. It was more than just her body that made her attractive. She had these eyes that lit up the room when she smiled, it made him feel more at ease himself, and he relaxed for once.

After about an hour or so we decided to move over to the table that sat in the corner of the room by the pool tables so we could watch Koz get his ass handed to him.

"So Rynn what kind of bar and restaurant are you thinking of opening?" Kozik asked as he was waiting for his turn to shoot again.

"It'll just be a place for everyone to just come and relax. A common ground for everyone, vets, bikers, nine-to-fivers, businessmen just a place to get a cold drink and a good home-cooked meal," she answered with a smile plastered on her face. You could tell that she took pride in what she wanted to do.

"I think Juice here may have found the perfect place. I go look at it tomorrow. It's out towards Lodi. Right Juice? Then I'm going to look at a house tomorrow too! If it wouldn't be for you all none of this would be working out so quickly."

"Yeah it's about 25 mins out of Charming," Juice said. "Nice place used to be an old truck stop restaurant."

"You going alone?" Happy asked.

"Mom and Rayne will be with me."

"Juice you were gonna send 2 women and a child out to Lodi by themselves?" Happy asked. Slapping Juice upside the back of his head.

Kate started laughing.

"What's wrong with that? Should I not go out there?" I asked.

"It's not that babe but you're now affiliated with the Sons so everything changes. People will look at you differently, they'll either give you whatever you want because they support what we do or they will be completely ruthless with you and be nasty as can be. There is no in-between." Kate said. A sad look almost overtook her face.

"Okay, so what do I need to do?"

"I'll go with you." Happy said. "I'll stay at Kate's tonight."

"Happy you don't have to do that! I'm sure you have better things to do." I said putting my hand on his toned arm.

"I don't. Normally I spend Saturdays at Kate's catching up on things there." He said.

"Thank you so much Happy! I'm really gonna owe ya now!"

"I'm sure we could take it out in trade." He said putting a hand on my thigh.

I'm pretty sure all the blood just rushed to my pussy. This man. Let me tell ya, if it was just us in this room I'd already be ripping his clothes off.

"What time do you have to be there?" Kate asked.

"I think 9. So I have to be getting back soon, I can't hang like I used to." I told her laughing. "I'm not as young as I once was.

"You shut your mouth. You're probably the youngest one at this table." Tig said.

"How old are you?" Kozik asked.

"I just turned 30 last month. I can't believe I just said that out loud."

"Oh shut up! At least you aren't 34!" Kate said rolling her eyes.

"Damn, how are you old fuckers getting these young hot chicks," Kozik asked.

"That's what I'm saying!" Juice piped in.

"Experience. And good dick." Tig told them wrapping his arm around Kate's shoulder.

"Who said anyone got me?" I asked.

Happy's grip tightened on my thigh.

"Oh, you've been got. Even if you don't realize it yet. " Kate whispered in my ear.

Looking down at my watch I realized it was already 11:30. "I really should get going." I said looking at Kate. "Come on one more shot!?" Kate insisted. "Okaayyy, one more."

One more turned into 5 more which turned into Kate and I grinding on each other in the middle of the bar.
