It hadn't been that difficult for Elena to find Marcel again. Hell, she didn't really even have to look. Rebekah seemed pretty certain on where he'd be, and if the trail of vampires around the huge house was any indication, she was right.

Elena and Rebekah approached the front door and Elena knocked.

"I knew he'd be here. The bastard never left," Rebekah said, sounding quite pissed.

Elena sighed. She should probably have come here alone, not that Rebekah really gave her much choice. She was determined to have it out with Marcel.

The door was opened by a vampire neither Mikaelson recognized. "Who the hell are you?"

"Hi, there. We're here to see Marcel," Elena said. She decided to at least try to do this politely.

"Who are you?" the vampire demanded again, making no move to let them inside.

"Two women with no tolerance for the likes of you," Rebekah said before picking the vampire up by the neck and throwing him across the room.

Elena glared at her aunt. "We discussed this."

"Yes, well, I'm not in the mood for pleasantries," Rebekah said before stepping inside.

Elena followed her inside. She could immediately hear a bunch of voices coming from the living room. "I'm pretty sure I know where the party is."

Rebekah nodded before following her niece to the living room.

Elena took in the living room. There were dozens of vampires talking and drinking. Marcel was in the center of them all. Elena whistled, causing them all to turn in her direction.

Marcel stared at disbelief. In fact, he wasn't sure what shocked him more, the witch he'd failed to kill showing up to his home or the fact that Rebekah Mikaelson was with him.

Elena immediately beckoned Marcel towards her. "Let's have a chat."

Several vampires attempted to advance on Elena.

Elena waved her hand and broke the necks of five of them. "Are we really going to do this again? Can't we just have a civilized conversation, Marcel?"

"Stand down," Marcel ordered his men before walking towards the two women. He led them out of the room and outside to the courtyard. "Rebekah."

"You bastard! First you let me think you're dead for nearly a century and then you attack my niece!" Rebekah snarled before going to attack him.

Elena grabbed her to stop her. "Aunt Rebekah, we made an agreement. Business first."

"N…Niece?" Marcel asked in disbelief. That wasn't even possible. Vampires couldn't have children. She couldn't possibly be Rebekah's niece.

Elena smirked. "I told you you've never seen anything like me before. I suppose we should officially be introduced. I'm Elena Mikaelson."

Marcel shook his head wildly. "That's not possible. Vampires can't have children."

"If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that in the last year, I'd be rich," Elena said.

"You are rich," Rebekah reminded her. Their family had more money than they could ever spend in more than a thousand years.

"Right. Anyway, apparently it is possible with fertility magic. At least it is with an original. I'm not sure if it would work with a normal vampire," Elena said.

"Who?" Marcel asked with trepidation in his voice. The shock wore off slightly, and worry took its place. He'd tried to kill the daughter of an original. He was hoping for Finn. In this case, the unknown original was better than the known.

Rebekah smirked, taking great pleasure in what she was about to say. "Elijah."

Marcel cringed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Of course, it was the one person he was hoping for the least, the most deadly of them all. Most thought Klaus was more deadly, but it was Elijah. He was the most deadly because he was the one no one saw coming, and Marcel had tried to kill his daughter.

"Hopefully, this can be a life lesson for you. Don't try to kill somebody until you know who they are and who their kin are," Elena said.

Marcel regretted his actions right away, and not just because he knew Elijah was going to make him pay for this. If he'd known she was a Mikaelson at all, he wouldn't have touched her, nor would he have allowed anyone else to. He might have his issues with them, but deep down, he still considered them family. "Look, I'm sorry. If I had known…"

"Yeah, yeah. You're not the first family member who unknowingly plotted to kill me. Still, it was kind of a stupid move. You attacked me knowing nothing about me or what I could do," Elena said.

Marcel had to admit she was right. He'd let his control over the New Orleans witches go to his head. He should've known that there were witches that could outsmart or overpower him.

"Look, lets let bygones be bygones for now, though I can't promise others will share the sentiment," Elena said.

"I can promise we won't," Rebekah said while glaring at Marcel.

"I had a little chat with one of your witch 'friends'," Elena told Marcel.

"I heard. Not much happens in the Quarter without me finding out about it. You can't trust Sophie Deveraux. She has an agenda," Marcel said.

"Of that I have no doubt. Look, I don't care about vampire or witch politics. None of us do. That's not why we came here," Elena said.

"Why then?" Marcel asked. Her words surprised him. He figured that if the Mikaelson's were back, they'd be looking to take back control of the city, which he would fight with everything in him.

Elena ignored the question. She didn't trust Marcel enough to give him that information yet. "But I won't stand for a young girl being put in the middle of whatever you guys have going on."

Marcel laughed. "Let me guess. Sophie told you that I kidnapped a teenaged girl."

Elena nodded. "Good guess. Aunt Rebekah tells me that that's not the case. I don't trust you or Sophie, but I trust her, and she says you're not capable of that. That and the fact that you are family makes me willing to listen to your side of the story."

Marcel looked at Rebekah in surprise. Just minutes ago, she was ready to kill him. In fact, she still looked ready to kill him.

"You're a right bastard, and you're going to pay for what you tried to do to Elena and letting us believe you were dead, but I know you'd never harm a child," Rebekah said.

"Talk," Elena demanded.

Marcel raised an eyebrow. "Are you ordering me."

"I'm giving you a chance, otherwise I'm going to have to assume Sophie Deveraux is right. I'm going to let a young girl suffer. You already know I'm more powerful than you. Do you really wanna try me?" Elena asked.

Marcel sighed. "Several months ago, the witches attempted to perform what the call a harvest ritual."

"I already hate the way this sounds," Elena said.

"Witches here get their magic from their ancestors. To keep the magic coming, they sacrifice four teenage girls, and they lie to them the whole time they're doing it. None of those kids knew what was happening until they were being murdered. Ironically, Sophie Deveraux is the one that came to me to stop it. I could only save one of them. The other three were killed," Marcel told her.

Elena felt her entire body vibrate with fury. Thes were kids and they had been turned on by the people who were supposed to protect them. For what? More power? Let them find their own damned power. Hell, let them sacrifice themselves if it was that damned important to them. "I'm going to kill some witches!"

"I killed all those that were involved myself, and then I hid Davina from them. Since then, Sophie switched sides. She now believes the harvest ritual will bring her niece and the others back from the dead if the ritual is completed," Marcel said.

"Meaning if Davina dies. That's why you kill any witch that uses magic, to make them too afraid to cross you," Elena said.

"And to punish them," he said.

"I want you to take me to meet this girl. I want to hear it from her," Elena said. She mostly believed Marcel, but she wanted to hear it from Davina herself.

Marcel immediately shook his head. "No way."

Elena laughed. "Okay, listen. You have a choice. You can pretend you have any say at all in this, and then I'll go behind your back and locate the girl myself. You and I both know that I will find her. Or you can just take me to her. All I want is to hear the same thing you just told me. Once I do, I will do everything in my power to help you protect her."

"Why should I believe you?" Marcel asked.

"Because I have no need to lie. As I said, if I wanted to, I could find her myself easily. I'm asking you to take me to her because I think she'd respond better to it, but I don't need you. What's it going to be."

Marcel sighed. As much as he hated to admit it, she was right. He'd seen what she could do. He stood no chance against her. He wasn't even sure Davina did. His best option was to be with her when she saw Davina. "Alright. Give me a few minutes."

Elena and Rebekah stood there waiting as Marcel went back inside.
