He gazes into my eyes lovingly. I had meant every word though. If I had experienced all of these moments in life, it never would have been with Demetrius. It would have been some random stranger since I wasn't even born yet when he died. Looking at things from a new perspective, I guess everything happens for a reason.

Sure, a small piece of me wishes I had been born in his time or, that he had been born in mine. In reality, it doesn't really matter anymore since we both died at the same age despite dying in completely different decades. If there was anything good that ever came from me being in Hell... it was him. That was enough for a place of pain and torment to be my own paradise. I was smiling at Demetrius in a daze until my stomach suddenly ruined the moment.

I start to feel a lump rise up into my throat and I abruptly cover my mouth with my hand and scramble to my feet. Demetrius looks at me with worried expression on his face. "Uh, excuse me for a moment." I then sprint past Carlton who was carrying our Chicken Parmesan orders to our table. He turns back and looks at me with a confused expression on his face before shrugging it off.

I get to the bathroom and run to the near stall closing the door behind me and vomit everything I had for lunch earlier that day. After hurling to the point of being breathless, I climb to my feet and flush the toilet. I walk out of the stall sluggishly and stand in front of a mirror. I turn the sink on and splash a bit of water on my face and freshen up my makeup. I then see the Grail appear in the mirror and her brown eyes narrowed down at me with concern.

'Should I tell you what's going on with your body or would you like to find out on your own?' I scoff at her, "what kind of question is that?" She shrugs her shoulders, 'well I am a celestial being occupying your body and while I'm not supposed to interfere with the free will of humans I was never told that I can't tell you what the future holds.' I roll my eyes at her don't bother, I'm sure whatever it is, it's only temporary. She throws her hands up at me before disappearing, "alright, suit yourself then."

I open the door and leave the restroom and head back to the table. Demetrius looked up at me. It was obvious that he was still worried about me so I try to give him a smile to put him at ease. It seems to work only a little bit. I get to the table and sit down in front of him and immediately begin digging into my food as if I haven't eaten all day.

I could see the sweat trickling down his forehead as he nervously scratched at the back of his head and his cheeks burned red, "um... honey... Are you sure you're okay?" I look up from my food for a second and wipe the sauce from my face with a napkin. "Yeah, I'm okay, why?" He looks down awkwardly, "well, uh... you don't think... maybe you're... No, no, never mind, you couldn't be, right?" I swallow my food back aggressively and quickly drink down my beverage.

"I couldn't be what?" He avoids making eye contact with me and moves his mouth to speak before I interrupt him knowing already what he's going to say, "oh no. No. No! You said sinners couldn't get pregnant!"

He's now moved on to nervously scratching the back of his hand, "well, I mean that's what I've been told." I relax my muscles after hearing that, "then we're good. We've got nothing to worry about so, go ahead and eat your food, waste is bad luck in my culture especially if it's Kanin." He furrows his eyebrows in confusion, "Kanin?" I nod my head, "yeah it's how we say, 'rice' in Tagalog."

Finally understanding, he starts to eat his food, "oh okay. Let's eat then." I smile and then he smiles back at me. After eating Demetrius surprises me by paying for the entire meal and insisted that it's on him and that I could just look at it like pay back for the last time I paid for both of our meals. We stand up and walk hand in hand out of the restaurant and hop back onto his motorcycle and head back to the hotel.

I hop off of his bike the way he taught me and then he climbs off after me. He opens one of his compartments and pulls out a bandana. I throw my hands up and take a step back, "uh, what's that for?" He laughs, "I'm taking you somewhere special but I want it to be a surprise. I rest a finger up to my chin, "hmmm... okay, I trust you."

I turn my back to him and let him tie the bandana around my eyes. I then feel the gentle touch of his hand brushing up against mine before he takes it in his and gently guides me to where he wants me to go. I immediately start sniffing in order to figure out where we are going. He stops in his tracks and laughs, "hey, that's cheating!" I chuckle and stop sniffing around.

A few minutes later, he stops and lets go of my hand and walks behind me and unties the bandana and takes it off before wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me in close which makes me giggle giddily. "You can open your eyes now, Baby." I open my eyes and gasp. It appears that I'm on the roof of the hotel. It was decorated in beautiful strings of white light which outdoor furniture adorned with blankets, pillows, flowers, food and drink. It was all set up under a canopy of white curtains.

I turn around and kiss his lips sensually and passionately. He moans and wraps his hands around my waist and pulls me into his chest. I let out a sigh and break my lips from his and press my forehead into his and take his hands in mine, "this is the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me. So, why's this place so special?" He smiles gently at me, "this is my own personal hideout.

I come up here when I need to think or get away. You're the first girl of course, that I've ever brought up here. Ironically, it's also my dads' spot. It's where he proposed to Angel. I already asked them if we could use this spot for tonight so, it'll just be the two of us."

I smile and walk up to the balcony and look over at Pentagram City and admire its beautiful city lights. He walks up behind me and purrs into my neck which makes me giggle. "A penny for your thoughts?" I shake my head and turn around to face him and place my hands on his chest. "Can I teach you how to fly?"

He steps back nervously, "uh, I don't know if that's such a great idea." I let out a sigh, "okay, I won't force you into doing anything you don't want to do but, we both have to learn how to face our fears at some point so I just thought, why don't we face them together. Only if you're comfortable with that, of course." He raises an eyebrow up at me, "so, you want me to teach you how to drive?" My heart races and I take a slow deep breath in before opening my eyes again, "as terrifying as it will be for me yes, I do want you to teach me.

If there's anyone I feel safe with, it's you and I trust that you'll create a safe place for me to learn and I promise to do the same for you." He wraps his arms around me and pulls me into his embrace, "well, if you're willing to put all of your trust in me like that, then I guess I'm willing to trust in you too." I smile and pull his lips into mine. He pulls his lips away after kissing me, "so, where do we start?" I walk him through every step and start out by holding his hands in mine while I'm doing the flying for both of us.

Our feet gently lift off of the ground and he grabs my hands tightly squeezing them and trembling at the same time while looking down at the ground beneath us. I speak to him in a soft, gentle tone, "hey, look up at me." He looks up and I can see the fear in his eyes. "Hey, I'm right here, alright? I'm not going to let you go, okay?"

He nods his head and closes his eyes and takes a deep breath in. I instruct him on how to flap his wings and explain how I fly around with my own wings. While hovering only three feet above the ground I look into his eyes and speak calmly, "okay, I'm going to let your hands go now. Remember, don't look down and just keep your eyes on me, okay? If you fall, I'll catch you, okay?"

He takes a deep breath in and nods at me looking a bit calmer than he did earlier. He closes his eyes as I let go and fly back a little bit so he has some space. I smile huge and my eyes light up, "Baby, look! You're doing it!" He opens his eyes and chuckles in disbelief, "Jess!

I can't believe it! I'm actually flying!" He then attempts to fly towards me and is successful. He takes my hands in his and pulls my arms and wraps them around him. I feel a single tear drop fall from his eye, "I never could have done this, without you."

I smile warmly at him, "so you want to go for a test flight?" He nods his head and smiles. I smile at him before leaping from the tall building, "just keep your eyes on me the whole time, okay?" He nods his head and grins before flying after me. We both fly past the city lights and fly up into the clouds.

I look over to my side and see that he's flying right next to me. He reaches a hand up and touches the sky and his hand goes through a cloud. I see that his eyes no longer reflect fear but instead are filled with childlike wonder. I smile wishing I had a camera to capture this moment. I had left my phone back at the hotel because I didn't want any distractions while I was teaching Demetrius.

He then surprises me by flying over and around me in a circle playfully. I laugh and before we know it, we are flying in circles around each other. Just two lovers dancing across the skies feeling almost high enough to reach the stars. We both fly back to the hotel laughing and our feet touch down on the balcony floor. We both stare at each other panting from the exercise with stars in our eyes.
