"I did give birth to the child of GOD," Mary said, "But not His Son. I had a beautiful girl. Her name is Yahsourah."
All three wise men flushed a bright red. They'd assumed the baby to be a boy.
"We brought presents," Melchior said quickly, "I brought gold."
"Thank you," Mary said with a smile.
Balthaser handed her his gift.
"I brought Frankincense," he told Mary.
"That was very kind," Mary said.
"I brought Myrrh to anoint H-Her," Casper finished up.
"Can we see Her," they all asked in unison.
Mary nodded and gently took the sleeping baby in her arms. She woke up but instead of fussing She smiled and looked at the three men.
"I would love to hold Her," Casper said, "I lost my own Daughter– Elliah when she was 12 days old. Could I hold Her?"
Mary nodded and gently handed Yahsourah to Casper.
"Thank you," Casper said, cuddling the baby for a few minutes. He then handed Her back to Mary.
The three wise men left.
When Yahsourah turned two, Mary and Joseph took Her to the temple for the first time. She picked a seat up front.
"Excuse me," Rabbi Issiah said, "You're a girl. You don't belong here."
"This is My Daddy's House of Worship," Yahsourah said, "I'm not moving."
Rabbi Issiah was shocked by the level of maturity the girl possessed but still annoyed at Her gall.
"The front of the temple are for males only," he said, "Would you please move Her."
"I don't think so," Mary said, "She made it very clear that She doesn't want to move and frankly neither do I."
"She's a girl," Rabbi Issiah said.
"Nothing gets by you does it?" Joseph mused sarcastically.
"She doesn't have the right to-"
"I have rights," Yahsourah interrupted, "You're not gonna keep me from sitting up front at my Daddy's temple."
Rabbi Issiah didn't know what to say. Finally he settled for, "If you dare make a scene you'll all be kicked out."
He paused.
"Be respectful of GOD," he added.
"You should take your own advice," Mary replied, "You are disrespecting His Children who are not like you."
"I-"
"She's right," Rabbi Daniel said, coming up to Rabbi Issiah, "The girl is promised."
"GOD wouldn't anoint a girl," Rabbi Issiah sneered, "Because Eve ate the apple GOD hates girls."
"That's not true," Yahsourah said, "GOD loves everyone."
Before Rabbi Issiah could respond the bell chimed indicating it was time for the service. Yahsourah was good as gold during the service, but Rabbi Issiah was fuming inside.
