Song For This Chapter: Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr.

On the morning of September 13th, Ollie woke up to see a drone making him pancakes. June was testing it out.

"Happy 18th birthday, brother." June says.

"Well, thanks, Juniper!" Ollie says. "I like this a lot!"

"There he is, the birthday boy!" Ruben says.

"Happy birthday, sweetheart." Esther says.

He smiled. "Thanks, Mom." Ollie says.

"So, tell us, son, how does it feel to be 18?" Ruben asked, giving Ollie some organic maple syrup for his pancakes. "Do you feel any older?"

"Not really." Ollie says. He hoped Molly would remember his birthday today. He soon finished his pancakes and went off to dress for school.

Ollie started walking to school a bit later. His house was close enough.

June looked down. "I'm-I'm…" she looked embarrassed.

"What is it, June?" Ollie asked.

"I'm into girls." June says.

"I know. Now come on. If you're late for your class again, Mom will have me cleaning the ghost traps for a month." Ollie says, walking June to the special education class.

Meanwhile, Molly worked on a special gift as Libby watched.

"What exactly did you make?" Libby asked Molly. It was a crystal necklace with charms that showed 18 of Ollie's best moments.

"He will love it…" Libby says.

"I hope he does like this. I really messed up his birthday last year, and I want this one to be better." Molly says, a bit worried.

Ollie soon comes into class, picks up his copy of The Great Gatsby, and begins to read it.

"Waterboy, waterboy!" Some kids say.

"Excuse me?" Ollie says.

They were watching a video of Shane, chanting waterboy.

"Class, Mister Chen has the right idea. Take out your copies of The Great Gatsby and begin your 20 minutes of reading." Ms. Jacobson says.

The other students soon do as they're told.

Lucy was planning Luke's birthday in her class.

"Lucy?" Haiku says, trying to get Lucy's attention, but Lucy was too focused on Luke. Lucy finally looked at her.

"Yes?" Lucy asked her.

"Are you okay?" Haiku asked.

"Yes…" Lucy lied.

"Be honest with me." Haiku says.

Lucy teared up. "It's Luke…" she sniffed.

Haiku holds her. She knows Lucy is going through a lot.

Meanwhile, Luna was wondering when Lori would visit with her baby. The baby was born in August, but the Louds were too busy.

"Luke's going to be okay." Sam says.

"Yeah, I guess, but Lucy isn't. She took a fall for Luke and well, I guess it affected her. She has been suicidal, but she never wanted Luke to be suicidal." Luna says. "Luke is kind of okay. Just not 100% okay."

"They're coming during Christmas break. They can't come for Thanksgiving this year. They're going with Bobby's family to spend Thanksgiving at Disneyland." Charity informed Luna and Sam. "It'll be little Ariana's first time going, so they're spending time with her and Bobby's family there."

Lucy came home and went to her room as she hugged a plush Luke and sobbed.

Ollie came home from school later that day and worked on his ghost research. His birthday hadn't been the best one yet.

"Some birthday this has turned out to be..." Ollie sighed as he worked.

Molly was decorating for him. There were pictures of him and the Ghostbusters theme was just perfect for him. The biggest picture of them all was Ollie dressed as Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters.

Molly called Lucy. This time, she'd need something special. Luke could handle the normal party stuff, but there was one part that Luke wasn't that good at. Ghost theme mazes.

Lucy hung up on her. Luke did show up, however.

"Let me see what you have there, Miss Molly." Luke says.

"Oh, enough with the miss stuff. we're practically the same age and we're friends. You can just call me Molly." Molly says, feeling old. She noticed Lucy slowly walking.

"What happened to your sister?" Molly asked.

"She saved me from a fall and since then, she hasn't exactly been herself." Luke says.

Molly goes to Lucy. "Hey, Lucy, how would you like to help me and Luke set up this party?" Molly asked as Lucy looked at Luke before slowly nodding.

Luke set up the entertainment area, then worked on the snack and food tables. And the rest of the Ghostbusters-themed decorations.

Lucy set up the maze. She put horror themed stuff in it.

"We don't wanna scare Ollie too much." Molly pointed out. "Stuff that is deemed gory and whatever will freak him out. He also has a huge fear of spiders."

Lucy heads home.

Meanwhile, June took Ollie to the movies to watch Ghostbusters.

"This better not be Ghostbusters Afterlife, June. I'm not mentally ready to see Egon as a spirit again, not after last time." Ollie says, remembering when he sobbed like a newborn baby after seeing that part.

"No, it's the original 1984 version." June says.

"Better be." Ollie says. "If it wasn't, you know how upset I'll be. I'm not mentally ready for Afterlife right now."

Soon, Luke was done. He smiled at his work. This type of work made him happy and kept his mind busy.

Lucy sees Luke smiling and feels a bit better.

Shane came home, soaked. Lance didn't really question why he looked like that.

"The whole school hit him with water balloons. Kat and Ana, I need your help please." Penny says.

"No. Why should we help someone who assisted in Luke's abuse?" They say.

"Look, I got candy!" Penny says

"Chocolate!" Ana says, wanting the bribe.

"Ana, remember your training. Resist the bribe." Kat says.

"But it's candy!" Ana says. "It's chocolate!"

"Just go, Penny." Kat says.

"We'll help!" Ana says as Penny smiles. Ana dug in as Kat looked annoyed.

Meanwhile, Ollie was walking and saw a trail of balloons. He arrived to see confetti come down upon him.

"Happy birthday, Ollie!" Everyone says.

"Oh, my gosh…my birthday isn't a joke…" Ollie says, surprised.

There was a birthday float for him. He tensed up a bit as he remembered when he was in the Brighton Academy Homecoming parade in Brighton last year, then the crash where he fell off the Brighton Bop float and took a huge tumble. He was in the hospital for two weeks just to have reconstruction surgery to get his left foot and leg and his nose back to normal. And the concussion lasted for one of those weeks, where he almost forgot who Molly was.

Luke had no idea that any of that happened and Molly had tried to tell him that a parade float was a bad idea, especially since Ollie was still traumatized about that day.

"Parade floats are awesome." Luke says.

"Ollie is traumatized by them, Luke." Molly says. "Ever since last year. You may think they're awesome, but Ollie thinks the exact opposite."

Luke sighed and canceled it.

A little bit later,Molly gave Ollie the gift she made.

"Molly, I love it!" Ollie says before putting the necklace on. "You give the best gifts!"

He was telling the truth about that. She always gave him the best gifts that she could think of for him. This one is his favorite now, next to the scrapbook she made him for Christmas last year, which he still has in his room. She smiled and kissed Ollie.

He opens Luke's gift, which was a still print from the scene where the Ghostbusters fought Stay-Puft in New York City, from the 1984 movie. Ollie gasped as this was the one vital collector's piece his Ghostbusters collection was missing.

"Thank you, Luke! This is awesome!" Ollie says.

"You're welcome!" Luke says, really thinking of his birthday, but had to be happy for Ollie today. His mom told him to be happy for Ollie on his birthday today and the same went for Sal tomorrow.

Ollie opened his gift from Libby next and smiled at it. "The latest copy of The Seventh Dimension Spirit Guide?! Yes! I needed this! Thanks, Libby!" Ollie says.

Ollie was confused when he saw a gift from Andrea. Andrea never gave him a gift before. He then opened it. He shrieked with excitement.

"My own Ghostbusters flightsuit!" Ollie says, excited. "It even has my last name on it like the ones from the movie!"

She smiled as Ollie ran off to get changed into it. He soon returned.

"A perfect fit!" Ollie says. "I love this a lot, thank you, Andrea!"

He found the gift from his parents. It was car keys.

"Sweet!" Ollie says as he grinned upon seeing the midnight blue Ford Fusion hybrid car from his parents.

After gifts, he explored the maze. There are some images of Ghostbusters movie characters, which Ollie liked a lot.

Meanwhile, Angry Luigi was sitting at home. He sees Ollie's party on TV. Any party that had Luke as a host was shown on TV.

Angry Luigi decided to go to the party as he walked outside and entered a pipe to get to Royal Woods

He hops out of the pipe and goes to get a gift for him.

Soon, Angry Luigi comes up to Ollie and hands him a Poltergust from Luigi's first solo adventure.

"How thoughtful! Thanks so much!" Ollie says. "Enjoy yourself, all right?"

Angry Luigi nods and goes to the party.

Later, Luke goes to Sal. "Let's give everyone a sneak peek of one of our performances for the finals." Luke says.

"Do I have to change?" Ollie asked, a bit reluctant to take his new flightsuit off.

"No." Luke says

"Wait, who's on our team?" Sal asked.

"You, me, and Ollie. We don't have to have a huge team." Luke says.

"I don't think Ollie wants to perform on his day." Sal says.

"Who said that?" Ollie says. "Are we gonna show everyone our Ghostbusters performance or what?"

They go to perform as Ollie truly commands the stage alongside Luke. And for the first time in months, Luke was truly happy to perform.

Girls were screaming as Remy knew he had no chance of ever winning and went to be alone, his dreams crushed.

Haiku goes to comfort him. "Hey, they just saw Luke's performance. They never saw yours, so they don't know what to expect. You can still win. Besides, Luke has learned how to take a loss and knows he can work harder if he loses." Haiku says.

Soon the trio finished as fans cheered and screamed as Luke was trending online.

Later, everyone began to dance to the Ghostbusters soundtracks that the DJ was playing. Ollie sat down after a while as he had already danced for a bit.

"Good thing we don't have to go on a ghost hunting mission." Savannah says as Angry Luigi nodded.

Soon, everyone was eating as Molly fed Ollie some food. Ollie spit it out when he found out he was tasting real meat. He made a mad dash for the bathroom and sat on the toilet for at least 45 minutes.

"Luke, you didn't know that Ollie was a vegan?!" Molly says. "I told you to cater a vegan spread for him and Ana! Everyone else could have meat and dairy products!"

Ana froze and looked at this and screamed as she and Ollie started to have negative reactions to what they both ate.

Luke looked ashamed.

Ollie was throwing up into a bucket as June gave him an antacid shortly after.

"I need to lie down…" Ollie groaned. June took him to a couch and laid him on it.

Ana was feeling sick as well. Forest took her home.

While Ollie rested for a bit, everyone played board games and talked.

Ollie returned a bit later in time for piñata time. Luke looked guilty for not knowing that Ollie was a vegan and had trauma from parade floats. And Ollie also had a severe shellfish allergy that was discovered when he was 12.

"I hate shellfish…" Angry Luigi says, agreeing with Ollie.

"You hate anything from the sea." Sal says to Angry Luigi.

Molly holds Ollie, who looked lightheaded still.

"Son? Are you okay?" Ruben asked Ollie.

"I'm okay, Dad." Ollie says with a smile. "Did you bring the Slimer piñata I asked for?"

Ruben nods as Ollie grabs the bat. "Go hang it up, please." Ollie says. Ruben goes to hang it up.

Minutes later, he finally finishes doing so.

"Give me some room!" Ollie says, raising the bat up to his shoulder.

Everyone moved as Ollie broke the Slimer piñata in one hit. He grinned and got the candy that he could eat.

Ana was at home. She didn't feel too good after ingesting a meat dish at the party.

"Poor Ana…" Penny says.

"Wait, is chocolate made from animal byproducts?" Kat asked.

"Not dark chocolate." Penny says.

Ollie then found the marshmallow shooters, which were used to hit targets that looked like the ghosts from the movies. This was Ollie's favorite part of the party.

Molly joined him. Ollie just smiled at her. He loved her a lot and couldn't wait to marry her one day.

Stephen was working on the cake. In fact, 18 cakes as Molly had requested.

Ollie finished with the marshmallow shooter game as he went to eat some vegan chocolate chip cookies.

"So let me get this straight, you thought all of us liked Luke's favorite foods?" Kat asked

"Yeah, Luke and Shane love white milk chocolate." Penny says.

"You bribed Ana with that and I'm not sure if Ana is even aware of what she ate." Kat says.

Penny gasped. "I think I can fix it." Penny says.

With Ollie, he remembered last year when a ghost ruined his birthday, especially at cake time. He ended up using his Spectre-Snare on the cake just to trap said ghost.

He knows it will happen again.

"What's wrong?" Angry Luigi asked. Ollie then had to tell the whole story word for word.

Angry Luigi paled as he was shaking with Bill.

"Let's bail!" Bill says.

"I thought you two loved adventures." Luke says.

"Whoever said that lied. We try to get out of them, but we get dragged in, anyway. Have a nice party but Bill and I plan on living." Angry Luigi says as he and Bill run, but Melony drags them back in.

"Relax, I'm sure no ghosts are around." Molly says. "Besides Scratch." she says in her head.

Ollie runs screaming, fearing it's going to be last year all over again.

Luke goes to him. "It won't." Luke says and grabs Angry Luigi and Bill, not allowing them to leave.

"You're not being a nice guy, Luke, let us go. We're trying to live." Bill says.

"There are no ghosts. You two are being paranoid." Luke says.

Luke tells Ollie that there are no ghosts as he had Lucy use an anti-ghost barrier around the house.

"There, happy now?" Luke says, looking annoyed at Angry Luigi's antics. Ollie marched off, hating Luke's attitude.

"Ollie, he's autistic. He can't control his mood swings." Molly says

"Quick, while Ollie's not looking! Through the chimney!" Bill says

Angry Luigi ran to it but gets zapped by a spell as he looked dizzy.

"So Luke's the one willing to drag us into crazy stuff. I am going to hate tonight." Angry Luigi says.

Luke goes to Ollie. "I'm sorry. I really am. I really messed up a lot of things at your party and really should have paid attention to all the things Molly was telling me about you instead of assuming you liked the same things I did."

Ollie slammed the door on him.

"I didn't know you hate parade floats and have trauma because of them. I had no idea you were a vegan or that you had a shellfish allergy…" Luke sniffed.

Soon, Ollie came out, deciding to forgive him.

"Luke, if there's a ghost down there, I'll make sure your life goes back to being a living hell!" Ollie says and goes downstairs.

He gasped, seeing everyone around 18 birthday cakes and a throne for him to sit on.

"Oh, my goodness…" Ollie says, surprised by this.

"Surprise!" everyone says. Ollie took pictures of the cakes, then really didn't know what to say.

"Thank you all…" he says.

Soon, the candles were lit and Molly led off the singing. Ollie just smiled as he knew this was better than last year by a long shot.

He wishes Luke would have a great birthday week. He already knew he was invited. And he also wished to marry Molly one day.

"Come on, Ollie! Blow out your candles!" June says.

He blew out his candles as everyone cheered.

Molly fed Ollie his cake, which was made with vegan ingredients. Stephen knew his way around a vegan cake recipe or two.

Remy frowned, seeing Ollie ditch his team.

"Relax, we can still win." Garrett says.
