After a near-death experience in the woods as a child, Izuku is gifted the nanosuit. With powers he once thought impossible to possess Izuku will try his hardest to become a hero but first, he must master all the nanosuits abilities, and face the burdens that have come with it. 10. Chapter 10

Hey gals and gamers hopefully this is on schedule and woah look at us chapter 10 it's a big occasion huh? I hope this chapter meets your expectations and mine as well, a lot of stuff going on this chapter. Ps I write most of the beginning chapter note before I even write the chapter.

Sorry for another delayed upload, I got sick as hell before I finished the chapter and couldn't bring myself to write for a while. Also this is a fanfic so I may have taken creative liberty with when certain events occur, by that I mean I lengthened or straight up changed the order of them. Also title is a reference to crysis 2

The Maximum Hero: Sudden impact

Morning comes much too quickly for a teen whose night was ridden with nightmares. This time they weren't all strange memories though, mixed in with them were false visions of the future.

Aizawa expelling him from Yuuei because he didn't trust him or his 'quirk'. Kaminari being disgusted in him and his quirklessness once he found out the nanosuit wasn't really a quirk, Iida and Uraraka siding with him and abandoning him. Kacchan reminding him that he will always be worthless and burning him into a charred crust of a person.

So about 5 hours of sleep plus nightmares every one of those hours equals not a good night's rest.

It makes sense that Izuku woke up feeling no more rested than before he went to sleep. Not that he likes it obviously but he understands what caused it and that's something. He has enough energy at least to wake up on time and make his normal train, he figures he won't fall asleep in class today but he doesn't see himself being the most talkative unless someone else initiates conversation.

Izuku is about to enter Yuuei school grounds, which has no reporters surrounding it thankfully, when he runs into one of his classmates that isn't in his small circle of friends.

"Good morning Midoriya, would you like to continue to class together?" the bird headed teen politely requests.

Izuku can't remember this guy's name, so he uses a function of one of his upgrades he hasn't had the chance to use yet. He focuses his eyes on the boy in front of him and his HUD displays whatever information it is able to find.

Fumikage Tokoyami, Age 15, Quirk: Dark Shadow, Blood type AB, Height: 158cm 5'2 ft, Current condition: Healthy.

"Good morning to you too Tokoyami, and sure that'd be nice" Izuku moves closer to his side and they both continue to make their way to class.

They enjoy walking in silence until Tokoyami deems it appropriate to ask a question, "Midoriya I apologize if this is out of the blue but are you alright? I sense a darkness from you and you often seem tired with sunken eyes that dart around the room as if being watched." Dark shadow pops up out of his shoulder, "You look messed up man".

Izuku is taken aback by this question, he didn't realize it was so obvious that even people he didn't talk to noticed. "Yeah i'm fine, I just find it hard to sleep sometimes so I've developed eyebags and stuff, no need to worry but thank you".

Tokoyami doesn't seem to believe him but refrains from further comment, choosing instead to start a different topic after a few minutes of silence. "I must say your quirk is most strange but I can't really say much considering my own quirk". Said quirk decides to speak up at that, "I think you should be grateful to have me!".

Izuku figures now is as good a time as any to indulge in his hobby, "Tokoyami if you don't mind my asking, is Dark shadow entirely separate from you as an entity, and can you two telepathically communicate since he is your quirk?"

Tokoyami glances at Midoriya before answering, "He is a separate being so I can't read his thoughts or he mine but I can be influenced by his emotions if they are powerful and he can be affected by mine, it does not affect me anymore however as I have long since learned to block his emotions out if it becomes distracting."

Izuku, notebook in hand that he must've grabbed sometime Tokoyami was looking away because the bird boy double takes when he notices it, writes down the new information. "That's amazing! I wonder if in the future you will be able to nonverbally communicate with him, that would add a more unknown element to your fighting style since now you have to verbally command him and your opponent can hear you as well. You can also use the fact that they can hear you to fake them out like by telling Dark Shadow to block the attack when you really want him to counter, or command a left punch when you really mean a right, it can also-"

Tokoyami with a face of light surprise cuts off Izuku mid muttering, "Midoriya I am sorry to interrupt you but we have arrived at our classroom, but I will take the parts that I was able to understand to heart, thank you very much".

Izuku bashfully realizes he is right and they are at the door, it's been a while since he zoned out so much while analyzing. "N-no need to thank me. I'm glad I was helpful at all." Then both of the teenagers enter the room to wait for class to begin.

They both arrived rather early, the only other people in class are Iida and Yaoyorozu so Izuku takes his spot near the back of the classroom and waits until everyone else enters the classroom.

After some time passes everyone takes their seats and some light conversation begins, but once Aizawa enters the room everyone immediately quiets down. "Today's homeroom will be rather short but important, you will all have shorter classes and a shorter lunch because we will be traveling off campus for hero lessons today, normally your class president would alert you all to this beforehand but we decided since this is the first one that you should all experience it the same, make sure to be back in class by 12:50".

The classes that follow are spent in a nervous excitement by everyone as heroics class draws near. No one is voicing it but the energy in the air is noticeable to anyone that looks their way. By the time lunch arrives enough time passes by that the students have managed to calm their excitement and eat their food normally if a bit rushed.

Finally all the students make it back to their classroom where Aizawa is waiting for them, "It was decided that you all will be supervised by a team of three composed of All Might, myself, and someone else we will meet there".

The boy seated next to Midoriya, Sero he thinks was his name, asks a question, "Sensei! What are we gonna do?"

"Today you will learn how to be the hero you need to be in rain, floods and any other disaster", he pulls out a card, "Today is Rescue Trials!".

"Rescue trial? That sounds even more difficult than the battle trial honestly", sounds like Kaminari starting to get worried.

"Hero work is tough work! And I'm here for it!", Good ol' Kirishima, of course he embraces a challenge

"If it's a flood then that's where I'll shine.", Has to be Asui saying that.

"AS I was saying", Aizawa loudly states to cut through the chatter, "It's optional to wear your hero gear today since some of them might not be suited to this trial due to the nature of your quirk or due to not being perfected yet". Aizawa presses a button causing the lockers to once again slide out of the side of the room. "The training grounds are rather far away so we are going to make it there by bus, once you are changed meet up at grounds B ". He turns and leaves the classroom.

Izuku and the others quickly grabbed their gear since no one would choose to stay in uniform for this coming trial and quickly changed. Izuku is now walking side by side with Kaminari, they would have been faster but Kaminari somehow put on his jacket inside out, Izuku was unable to find out how that even happened try as he might.

They join the group of students waiting for the bus as other students finish changing, they walk to Uraraka who seems to have just arrived as well.

"Hey Uraraka, are you excited for the trial?"Kaminari stands to Izukus side.

Uraraka scrunches her face in contemplation, "More nervous if anything but I can't wait!".

Before Izuku has time to say anything himself Iida makes an announcement in front of the bus. " ATTENTION EVERYONE, in order to smoothly board the bus please file into 2 lines by your seating number!".

Izuku glances at the bus and notices that it isn't the type of bus that Iida probably thinks it is, he considers not saying anything but he is class president after all so this is kinda his job.

He walks up to Iida, "Hey Iida I appreciate you trying to make everything go smoothly but uh, this is not that type of bus, it looks like an open layout type."

Iida gives the bus a second look then hangs his head in shame, "I see, my apologies Midoriya it seems I got ahead of myself". He turns to the others in the area, "Please disregard my earlier statement!".

Everyone boards the bus and Izuku ends up sitting next to Kaminari and Kirishima with Asui on the far side of this seat section, facing Sato, Ashido, and Aoyama.

Once the bus gets moving some light conversation breaks out. Kaminari for one decides to talk to Izuku, "Hey man are you sure you are alright? You fell asleep in class the day before yesterday then when I woke you up you jumped up viciously", He looks Izuku in the eyes, "And your eyebags aren't going away, if anything they are getting worse".

Izuku figures brushing off his concerns will only make him worry more so he settles on an edited version of the truth. "The truth is that I have trouble falling asleep, I think it's a form of insomnia but I've been looking into ways to get rid of it or lessen it so hopefully it works." That should satisfy Kaminari, better than the real truth that he suffers from terrible nightmares and panic attacks almost every night.

Kaminaris face morphs with sympathy for his friend, "That sucks I hope you get it sorted out soon but if I can help in any way let me know."

"Hey Midoriya", Izuku turns to see Asui speaking to him, "I say what I think no matter what's on my mind".

"That's cool Asui.." he says wondering where she is going with this.

"Call me Tsuyu", she quickly corrects him, "And Your quirk is really weird, how can it give you strength, speed, armor, invisibility, and from what I've heard from Ashido, tracking."

"I-I guess it is k-kinda weird when you point it all out like that", Izuku mentally panics even harder than he probably looks, how is he supposed to respond to this its not like this is a real quirk so he doesn't know what to say, he doesn't even understand it fully!

Thankfully a certain red head speaks before the situation worsens, "I mean yeah but at least it's flashy, I mean it's a badass, manly full body suit of armor! My 'Hardening' is great in a fight but it's kinda plain visually."

Midoriya's heart goes out to him, while it isn't the same as being quirkless, Izuku can understand being seen as plain, "I think it's an amazing and strong quirk! Definitely something that will make a great Pro Hero!"

Kirishima gives a small but genuine smile to Midoriya, Aoyama heard Izuku mention pro hero so he adds his input. "Being a Pro Hero isn't just about being flashy or strong, it's also a popularity contest! And my Naval Laser is both flashy and strong enough for the Pro Hero level!"

Ashido gives the blonde a look, "Yeah but a tummy ache whenever you use it for too long isn't the best look". Aoyama says nothing to defend himself from this and instead drops his gaze downwards.

Jiro speaks up from her spot in the back half of the bus, "if you guys are talking about 2 for 1 flashy and strong quirks then you can't forget to mention Bakugou and todoroki."

Asui- er Tsuyu looks at one of the mentioned boys, "Bakugou always looks angry even if he isn't angry, which is rare in itself", she turns to Todoroki, "and Todoroki isn't emotive in the least but that can work to his advantage honestly.

Izuku figures those are both fair points, anger 24/7 isn't a very appealing look for a hero and some people are into cold demeanors.

Bakugou obviously Loudly voices his opinion on what Tsuyu just said, "THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY ABOUT ME, PEOPLE WILL WORSHIP ME WHEN I BECOME A PRO HERO".

"See what I mean", the girl points at the fuming blonde behind her.

Kaminari jumps in on the teasing, "It is truly astounding that in our short time as students of this fine establishment it has become clear to all that your astoundingly reprehensible personality more closely resembles a stew of excrement soaked in sewage."

Izuku stares at the boy he considers his friend in astonishment, while he wouldn't ever say it, he didn't think Kaminari was capable of using such… colorful language. In the time he has known him and hung out with him he seemed the type to use fun casual language not, well that.

Kacchan seems to agree, "THE HELLS THAT LANGUAGE YOU'RE USING".

"Alright everyone tone it down we are almost there so prepare to leave the bus", their sensei notifies.

Once the class has completed exiting the bus they stand in front of it as a figure with a pillow like costume steps out from the large dome behind them. "It's 13! The space hero!"

"The hero known for assisting with disaster relief!" Uraraka fangirls alongside him.

As 13 and Aizawa discuss something out of hearing distance Izuku and Uraraka continue to gush about 13. "You are a fan of 13 too Uraraka!?"

"Yeah I love 13! It probably has something to do with the fact that we both have space themed quirks but I think the way black hole can clear wreckage is awesome and that 13 shows rescue heroes are just as important as combat heroes!". Uraraka lightly rants to Izuku, grinning ear to ear.

The two cut their hero appreciation discussion short as both of their sensei's finish talking and gesture for the students to enter the large structure with them. But where's All Might?

Once they are all inside Izuku takes a second to look at the full size of the interior of the building, it can't even really be called a building as inside it has a lake, a small city with towers, a large center area with a fountain, mountains, and more.

13 turns to the students and clears their throat, "Attention everyone welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint or U.S.J, before we begin today's lesson there's 1 or 2 or 3 maybe 4 things I'd like to say", each time the number increases 13 holds up another finger and the students cringe a bit more.

"As you may be aware my quirk is called black hole and it has the ability to suck in and destroy any matter and while it is very useful to dispose of rubble and obstacles in rescue missions it is also a power that could easily end lives". 13 looks at all the students in attendance, "And all of your quirks are no different, that is the reason they are so strictly regulated by our laws but don't let the safety of those laws make you forget just what your quirks are capable of".

The hero gestures to Aizawa, "In the quirk assessment tests you learned the current power of your quirks and in All Mights battle trial you saw what it was like to use them against other do not exist only to hurt or cause damage, Today you will learn how to use your quirks to save a life! That is all, thank you all for listening so well."

The end of the speech has everyone cheering and giving applause but right before Izuku joins in his HUD alerts him to a disturbance.

MAP DISABLED

DISRUPTION IN SPACETIME DETECTED

CONNECTION INTERRUPTED

Izuku turns to the center of the lower part of the U.S.J to see if he can find the 'disturbance in spacetime' as the others are still gushing over 13's speech, no one notices him doing this except for one tired sensei that has a growing pit of paranoia.

Izuku is scanning the floor when a black bubble pops into existence before spreading and widening. He zooms in 3x with his HUD and sees a skinny man with blue hair and what looks like… hands covering his face and parts of his body walk out of the purple mass.

Following his entrance is a huge dark purple almost black skinned being littered with scars and a bird like face, jagged teeth and exposed brain, there are also several intimidating individuals that follow them after.

Those are villains, no way this is planned the teachers would have told them before their arrival and the fact that the nanosuit lost several functions is probably due to them interfering with the area to prevent any calls for help or backup.

Aizawa notices the intruders at the same time as Izuku but where Izuku stares in shock the teacher acts, "EVERYONE STICK TOGETHER AND DON'T MOVE, THIRTEEN PROTECT THE STUDENTS, THOSE ARE VILLIANS" the hero puts on his goggles and places himself between the students and villains.

"Wouldn't there be alarms being set off right now?", Yaoyorozu questions.

"There are but it's likely the villains have some sort of quirk blocking the signals from emitting", 13 answers.

"If that is the case then this likely is an isolated attack then we shouldn't expect any help, I doubt they would launch a full scale invasion of the main campus", Todoroki inputs, "They must have an objective in mind for this invasion."

"13 start the evacuation procedure! And Kaminari see if you can contact the school with your quirk!", Aizawa turns to the villains and starts to take steps forward.

Is he going to fight them all? His quirk and fighting style isn't suited for that, he won't be able to win against them all!, "Sensei, are you going to fight them alone?! But you are an underground hero that specializes in one on ones! How-"

Aizawa cuts off his student and his worries, "A hero always has more than one trick up his sleeve", and runs down the stairs to engage the villains.

Izuku and the other students follow 13 back to the entrance of the U.S.J but they are stopped before they can make it all the way.

The shadowy figure that transported the villains is now in front of them all and speaks, "Greetings I am Kurogiri and we are the league of villains, and we are here in the base of heroes to kill All Might, the symbol of peace", the two yellow 'eyes' move around, "I do not see him in attendance was there a change in plans… oh well, be it as it may this is my role".

The purple shadow begins to surround the students and Izuku decides he should prepare for the worst.

NANOSUIT ENABLED

But before the worst comes, Kirishima and Kacchan both attempt to attack Kurogiri but fail simply flying through him.

Before Izuku has time to try and evade the ground beneath his feet is consumed by the black mist and the next thing he knows he is falling.

For a brief moment Izuku is surrounded by what feels like water but much… softer and bouncy, then his vision clears and he can see that he is falling through the air rapidly approaching the roof of what he guesses is a 11 or 12 story building. Oh and a large majority of the buildings are on fire, that's nice.

MAXIMUM ARMOR

THUD. Izuku lands on the building with his knees bent and quickly places his hands in front of him so he can spread the impact to all four of his limbs. Before he has the chance to process anything his HUD gains text on the top center.

PRIMARY: Survive the villain encounter

SECONDARY: Locate and disable enemy jammer

"See! I told you it was a good idea to wait before going down the building", a steady female voice sounds from his left.

"Shut up, how could we have known a student would appear the second we were about to leave", another more whiny female voice retorts near the first.

Izuku brushes off the slight confusion and nausea from his sudden transportation and starts to lift his head towards the other people on this roof.

"I mean why would the shadow guy just drop us here if he wasn't going to drop some kids here too, just one kid is a surprise though I almost feel bad", a typical manly voice this time and from the right.

"Yeah he's going to get jumped", A final woman says between the other voices.

Izuku steadies his gaze and surveys his enemies from left to right. The first person he sees is also the first one who spoke, it is a woman that looks to be about his height if not a bit shorter so probably 5'4 (164 cm), she has short brown hair, tanned skin, a rough oval shaped face with an excited grin, and a muscular, bulky body. There is nothing that particularly stands out about her in terms of possible mutation quirks, and she is wearing simple pants, a blue shirt, and white shoes.

The next woman is the same height as the first but her hair is long and white and her skin is milky white. Her build is much less muscular but not out of shape, and she has what seems to be several tattoos decorating her mouth and throat , her quirk must be something to do with her mouth. She wears pants as well, a purple shirt, and black shoes.

Then there are 2 people standing next to each other, both are around 5 '8 and are in full orange bodysuits with a roughly male shaped body. No idea what their quirk could be.

The next and final woman is taller than the others standing at what he guesses is 5 '9 (180 cm) with black hair in a short wolf cut, her peach colored face is set in grim indifference, and she has the most athletic build out of the women. She has a pair of brass knuckles on so Izuku thinks it is safe to assume she has a combat based quirk, likely a form of physical enhancement, and she has fitting shorts, a tight white shirt on and is barefoot. Also while he knows he shouldn't think so at a moment like this he finds her kinda hot with her toned body and curves.

The last member of the villain group on the roof and the only confirmed man is taller than all the women, but not by much at 5 '11 (156 cm). Short purple hair and a crazed expression on his face there are clumps of what looks like ash on his white skin. No gear or mutations so his quirk is completely unknown but he does have a strong, lean figure. He has a form fitting black shirt, loose jeans on and red sneakers.

Izuku tries to scan them like he did to Tokoyami earlier but he assumes the connection issues also affect that since nothing appears.

"Well we are jumping him after all so let's get this done quick, I'll open this fight", the man says as he gets into a fighting stance.

Izuku doesnt know which mode he should use, would it be better to take damage or deal it, or would speed blitzing be better, he can't cloak.. Or can he?

CLOAK ENGAGED

"Where'd he go", the short gruff lady questions.

Izuku doesn't move yet he first checks his surroundings more, the door is covered by the girl with the tattoos so he can't get out from there, the other buildings look too far to jump to and the drop from this height is questionable. While he easily survived a 4 story drop when he first discovered the nanosuit it completely drained his energy, this is more than double that and he doesnt think he has double the amount of energy he did then. Well running isn't an option.

"Must be his quirk lets him turn invisible", The man states, "Coward must've ran I was hoping to kill the brat".

Sadly.

Since he can't run he has to think about the best plan of action, the close up fighters are probably the gruff lady and the taller lady with brass knuckles. The one with the tattoos is likely a ranged fighter of sorts since she has the least defined body, that leaves the man and twins a total mystery, they seem to be close range fighters but none of them have anything that would help with that from what he can see.

The twins decide to stop standing around and walk towards Izuku. So in response he moves out of their way when a memory passes through his eyes, the memory of the dream he had where he learned a simple but important lesson, divide and conquer. And these two have made it too easy for him.

He uncloaks and as fast as he can he takes them down, first he punches the stomach of one and when they are bent over from pain he sends another heavy fist towards their head, knocking them out cold. The second twin attempts to lift their hands to activate their quirk but before they can Izuku kicks their left leg causing them to fall before grabbing their head and forcing it onto his knee, that makes 2 of them down.

"I knew they were weak, no good quirk needs 2 people to use it" The tall girl says in annoyance, she then rushes forward to attack

She sends a simple straight punch that Izuku easily avoids then he throws a heavy left hook to her midsection sending her flying back to where she came from. He intentionally has yet to activate maximum strength, he can easily tear apart car doors and walls with it active so he doesn't want to use it on a person.

The impact makes him think he should have though because it feels almost like he is hitting a punching bag filled with gravel instead of sand but she nonetheless goes flying backwards.

"FUCK THAT HURT", The villian shouts, "AND MY QUIRK WAS ACTIVE!"

"I thought your quirk made you super tough and strong?" the man of the group mentions.

The fallen woman gets to her feet, "It does, it makes me hit hard enough to deeply dent steel bare handed and shrug off a lot of attacks, but this kid is tough, I thought jumping one kid was overkill but this is Yuuei after all".She turns to the buff woman, "Kanna, help me out but try not to get hit, I have no doubt he can crack your defense, the rest of you attack when you see openings".

"Understood".

Kanna who is revealed to be the muscular woman cracks her knuckles before falling flat first on the ground, Izuku immediately realizes it was intentional as the second she hits the ground the building coats her body entirely save for her eyes. So the tall one, Mai, has an enhancement quirk and it seems Kanna can cover her body with the nearby environment, she probably can't send it flying as she is built like a close range fighter.

Mai and Kanna both rush forward and Izuku assumes a fighting pose with his knees bent, back leaned forward, and head behind his fists, similar to a boxing stance but one learned from imitation.

Kanna attacks first sending a punch at his face from his right but he moves his head to the left where Mai is sending a kick to his midsection, before it connects Izuku uses his left hand to grab her shin, the momentum still causes him to slide slightly before he sends out another punch to her stomach this time with his right fist. Once again she falls back but more aggressively since she was off balance and not quite as far.

Kanna uses the time it took for Izuku to send his attack to send her own fist at his ribcage then a low kick to his legs knocking him to the ground. Once on the floor she sits on his waist and sends blow after blow directly to his visor, blinding him, Mai has also recovered and is now kicking and stomping his lower half repeatedly. Izuku is thankful to the nanosuit for lessening the impacts but he can still feel each one and the damage is starting to make its way through. He needs to get back up.

MAXIMUM ARMOR

"MY FOOT", Mai shouts as she kicks Midoriya for the last time and takes a step back.

At the same time Kanna sends out another punch to his face but this time the concrete coating doesn't move his head on impact, this time it breaks.

"MY HAND"

Before she has a chance to recuperate Izuku sits up and throws her off of him and several feet away, getting back to his feet Izuku prepares to rush forward and take advantage of their current states before he sees movement to the far side.

The man of the group does a spin kick from his position 15 feet away from Izuku and the fire on the surrounding buildings follows the momentum towards Izuku. He tries to dodge by moving forward out of the path of the flame but then the final girl of the group moves in front of him and shouts, "WIND", and a blast of wind flys out of her mouth, it isn't strong enough to send him flying but it prevents him from evading the fire.

The fire hits Izuku and he fully expects to feel his every nerve burn aflame but when it hits nothing happens. The only thing about the fire that has any effect is the flames block his vision and the force of the blast that moves him a few feet but the heat itself doesn't burn and he somehow knows that even without armor mode the fire wouldn't kill him but it might hurt. A quick glance at energy shows it is still mostly full and the current temperature is 1,200 degrees fahrenheit (650 celsius).

The flames remain on the trail the blast traveled hiding Izuku from view, "That should take care of that punk, and it was starting to look like he was going to beat you two, ha just shows sometimes you need a man to get things done", the confident man brags.

"Shut up you sexist he hit like a damn truck and suddenly hitting him felt like one too", Mai angrily responds.

"Hitting him broke my armor, just what is he made of? That quirk was something else, looked cool too." Kanna grunts.

Izuku has gathered himself by now and he figures he should get rid of the long range fighters first so he can fight the 2 close combat ones without interruption, he is pretty sure he can handle them.

The sexist guy is as good a choice as any to start, what he needs now is Speed.

MAXIMUM SPEED

Izuku runs out of the flames and towards the solo man.

"HE'S STILL ALIVE?!", he shouts right before Izuku sends a knee into his stomach, the force of the hit forces the man to hunch over then Izuku sends a double hammerfist to his back. The villain cries out in pain before going limp and falling to the ground.

"SHIT SHIMO GET HIM", Mai screams.

"WATER", Shimo shouts at Izuku and a blast of water goes his way, but Izuku uses his heightened speed to evade the beam and runs towards her.

Shimo tries to hit him with the continued blast but it never connects and in an instant he is in front of her.

In a desperate voice she screams "FIRE", at point blank causing the blast to completely engulf Izuku. But the fire has no effect and Izuku slowly fights through the pressure of the flames with an outstretched arm until his hand covers the opening of the casters mouth.

With his other arm he sends a punch to her liver and her eyes bulge in pain before just as quickly closing, Izuku holds her up by the head for a moment before gently dropping her to the ground by his side. He turns to the final 2 conscious women on the roof slightly hunched and breathing heavily with steam from the fire emitting from his nanosuit covered body, ready for action.

"H-Hey Mai we can take this guy right?"Kanna asks with a now intimidated tone.

Mai takes a deep breath, "It's 2 on one and now with all the smoke even if he goes invisible again he won't be able to surprise us, we can still win."

Izuku stares them down,"Come on then".

Izuku and the 2 villains rush to fight again, Mai on his right, Kanna on his left but this time with Izuku as the aggressor. Once they are in attacking range Izuku figures that the same plan as before should work again.

MAXIMUM ARMOR

Izuku sends a kick with his right leg towards Mai but she jumps over the kick and sends her own towards his head. Izuku ducks the blow but that leaves him open to Kannas concrete covered haymaker but the punch breaks apart on impact and Izuku feels nothing.

They both back away from him after the initial attacks, "He's still super tough, I can only use parrys, and grappling attacks, use your knuckle dusters to try and hurt him, aren't they special made?".

Mai grins in a way that makes Izuku remember that these people are truly… villains. "Tungsten and enhanced by a quirk, they were…expensive".

Izuku decides that information makes Mai a much more immediate threat than Kanna and they once again engage in battle.

Instead of rushing side by side Kanna runs in front of Mai and opens her arms as if to tackle Izuku, he of course moves to dodge this but fails to realize it was a fake out and she instead halts her momentum and sticks her leg out in the direction Izuku moves to dodge. Izuku lifts his legs in time to avoid being tripped but that leaves him unable to evade or block the heavy hook to his stomach from Mai, who in an instant managed to loop around his blind spot while he was busy with Kanna.

The hit connects and instead of energy barely budging a noticeable amount is shaved off, a very small amount but it can be seen.

Kanna grabs Izuku who was still midair, momentum halted by Mai's punch and places him in a standing full nelson, exposing his body. Mai then sends rapid full powered punches directly into Midoriya's midsection, chest, and ribs, each punch hitting the same areas with deadly precision allowing the damage to accumulate and energy to drain. The blows are also beginning to leave strong stinging feelings where they land which is a first in armor mode.

"HAHA TAKE THIS YOU LITTLE SHIT YOU CANT WIN, YOU AREN'T EVEN A HERO YET", a battle drunk Mai proclaims.

Armor mode may not be strength based but it still has power to it, so Izuku uses that power to break out of the full nelson by forcefully bringing his arms down. Mai was in the middle of attacking so she isn't able to react in time to Izuku's counterattack, he punches her directly in the jaw with his right fist and before she starts to fall from the impact Izuku uses his left fist to punch her in the same spot as before on her stomach. Before Izuku has time to land a finishing blow his back is hit by Kanna from behind and he stumbles from the force.

"AAAAHHHH", Kanna screams as she puts her all into every punch, replacing the concrete armor on her fists each time it shatters on impact. Mai is still stunned so Izuku whips around and immediately swings his fist directly into Kannas now unprotected stomach, she screams in pain and falls to her knees, but she is not defeated yet. She starts to coat her body once again with concrete from the floor she is on and Izuku decides he needs to knock out at least one of the fighters right now so he grabs her by the shoulder and lifts her, staring her eye to eye as he clenches his free hand shut.

He hears footsteps approaching from his side but no one should be there, he knocked the 4 other villains unconscious…didn't he?

Izuku turns to see a shivering Shimo staring at him on unsteady legs, the unnamed man is also slowly beginning to rise, both are obviously at their limits not meant to be taking such heavy hits.

"EYES", Shimo shouts and Izuku expects to see eyes fly out of her mouth but he instead notices Kanna close her eyes. Before he can react Shimo screams, "LIGHT", and a huge flash of light emits from her mouth, blinding Izuku.

Kanna takes advantage of his vulnerable state to smash both of her armored hands atop of Izuku's head. Izuku lets go of Kanna due to being unable to fight the natural instinct to rub his eyes and protect his head.

Without his eyes Izuku is unable to protect himself from the next attacks he endures. A kick to his side, several punches to his left rib, double haymaker to his back and shoulder. Izuku blinks his eyes hard to try and regain his vision but not in time to block the kick to the back of his knees that drop him where he endures a barrage of kicks of punches to his head, stomach, arms, and back.

Energy is now just barely over half and Izuku has had enough, his vision is back and he is done playing it safe. Who needs defense when you are the one that is going to be dealing damage?

MAXIMUM STRENGTH

Izuku's eyes are back to normal just in time for him to see Mai in front of him with a feral grin pulling her right hand back to land what he knows would be her strongest hit yet. But Izuku sends his own hand out and grabs her wrist before her fist makes contact with his head, stopping it dead in its tracks. Izuku then pulls her hand down forcing her to his level where he hits her hard in the liver, this attack is on another level than the ones before so when this one lands her eyes roll to the back of her head, truly unconscious.

"SHIT", Kanna screams behind him, Izuku doesn't waste time in trying to stand so he spins his body like a top on the floor and trips Kanna causing her to land flat on her back. Izuku mirrors her attack from before but instead sits on her legs to send a punch to her stomach, since he is pretty sure a headshot with strength mode could kill her.

As Izuku cocks his fists back Kanna coats her body in much more concrete than before stopping her mobility in exchange for defense. The nanosuit doesnt care and cuts through the concrete like it isn't there and continues to its target, Izuku doesnt hear any screams but the deactivation of the concrete armor and exposure of the villains unconscious face signals her defeat.

Izuku rises to his feet and takes a few steps to the 2 barely standing remaining villains. They both stare at him before the man screams and punches with both of his hands towards Izuku, sending fire his way again and obscuring his vision once more. Izuku merely walks forward and prepares to knock out these last villains and make his way down the building, without armor mode the fire does begin to heat him up but not enough for concern. Izuku deactivates strength mode to conserve energy because it is now at less than half when the fire finally begins to die down.

"IIIRROONN", Shimo shouts one final time before slumping to the ground, as she falls she emits one final blast of pure iron that isn't as long or refined as the others but is much wider and clunkier. Izuku won't be able to dodge this one, he quickly takes a look around his surroundings and… WHEN DID HE GET SO CLOSE TO THE EDGE?!

The chunk of iron hits Izuku and sends him backwards, the impact is not too strong but his current semi tired state along with proximity to the edge is enough to push him back.

And off the side of the building.

Izuku turns his body so he can see the speed at which he will hit the floor, he doesn't activate any modes yet since he needs more energy to build up but it isn't nearly enough time for it to fully replenish. Only 3 stories to go and energy is at most 3/5ths done.

MAXIMUM ARMOR

Izuku crosses his hands in front of his eyes and tucks his head into them he also brings in his legs to his stomach so overall he resembles a black cannonball.

INJURIES: 2 BROKEN RIBS, MINOR LINEAR FRACTURE ON LEFT HUMERUS, GREENSTICK FRACTURES ON RIGHT FEMUR AND TIBULA.

The visor is tinged with red and Izuku feels his body pulse with pain with every breath. Then nothing, the pain subsides and his vision clears again, he digs his way out of the small crater his impact made in the ground.

He stands up and notices that it isn't just the buildings that are on fire, everything is from the floor to the benches and walls. Izuku makes sure that no one is nearby and desummons the nanosuit so he can view the level of the injuries he has.

Pain.

The very instant the nanosuit is fully removed Izuku falls to the ground in pain, everything hurts, on the ground Izuku hears a voice call out to him.

"MIDORIYA"

But he can't bring himself to look just yet, the initial intensity of the pain dies down and Izuku regains his bearings so he resummons the nanosuit.

NANOSUIT ENABLED

The nanosuit finishes covering his body and the pain again disappears, it looks like the nanosuit is negating the pain acting as a cast for his broken bones and maybe supplying him with some sort of pain killer.

"MIDORIYA"

Izuku turns but his paranoia gets the best of him so he gets into a combat stance.

"Hey hey it's me Ojiro, I'm not going to attack you.", the tailed teen quickly says to calm Izuku.

Izuku loosens his stance and taps the buttons on his head to open up his face in his helmet, "Sorry Ojiro I just… Haven't seen a friendly face since being transported here".

"No, I understand I've already fought off 3 villains, 1 just now and 2 when I first got here, what about you?" The boy questions.

Izuku thinks back to what happened before his fall, "I got attacked by 6 villains when I was transported to the top of this building behind me with them there". He turns to the building behind him, "I had managed to knock out 2 of them immediately then took down another 2, then as I was taking down the final 2 the second pair was able to surprise me and knocked me off the roof."

Ojiro stares at him in shock, "You were… you were JUMPED by 6 villains and nearly won before they caught you off guard and then you fell what," he looks up and down at the building, "Like 12 stories?! No wonder you collapsed when I first saw you. That sounds like hell."

Izuku winces as he realizes it does seem like alot, he should try and calm him down. "Honestly I didn't really get hurt during the fight, just light bruising if anything, it was the drop that got me all banged up but my quirk is helping me out right now."

Ojiro stares at him in bewilderment, "As long as you are alright I guess, but now what should we do? Make it back to the others at the entrance?"

Izuku thinks back to when he first landed the nanosuit had shown him something, so he looks to the top of his HUD, good thing he upgraded it, and sees the missions once again.

PRIMARY: Survive the villain encounter

SECONDARY: Locate and disable enemy jammer

When Izuku reads the secondary mission he notices how in the side of his vision there is a blue marker, no. A waypoint, that is probably where the interference is strongest so the nanosuit set the waypoint to stop it.

Izuku knows what he has to do, "Ojiro, you can go back to the others. I won't stop you, but I'm going to take down what is stopping us from contacting the outside".

"What- How can you know where it's at?", Ojiro asks in a voice filled with doubt.

Izuku knows how ridiculous it would sound if he said his quirk told him so he chooses a different approach, lying, "I overheard the villains talking before we started fighting, I'm just going to hope for the best, but if I succeed it would be a huge help".

Ojiro's face scrunches in contemplation, "I'll join you, it's better if we stick together and if we can fix things and call for help it really would be good for us all".

Izuku and Ojiro walk to the waypoint with Izuku in front since he is the only one that can see it. They stick to the sides of buildings when they can, occasionally moving around to avoid fallen pieces of walls and blockades if fire

Izuku stops walking and holds up his arm to signal Ojiro to do the same, his visor has identified 3 villains up front around the corner of the building they are currently on the side of. One is right next to the corner and the other 2 are grouped up further ahead.

"There's a villain on the corner up ahead and 2 others beyond, I can handle the first one by myself, wait here", Izuku informs Ojiro.

Ojiro seems hesitant, "Are you sure?"

"Yes"

Ojiro decides to trust him and stays still while Izuku treks forward.

CLOAK ENGAGED

Midoriya makes his way to the nearest villain at the corner, once there he pokes his head out and sees him. The guy looks pretty normal, leather jacket and jeans, but Izuku can't make out his face since he is facing away from him, but there is one noticeable thing he can see. A scorpion tail protruding from his back.

The other 2 villains are far enough that they shouldn't be able to notice anything that happens if it isn't very loud, the sound of fire should hide light noise.

This situation is familiar, in a flash his eyes stop seeing the villain in front of him and instead see a man clad in military wear of sorts, possibly a soldier. In this vision he covers the soldiers mouth from behind and stabs him in the throat, killing him. His vision returns to the present and he thinks for a moment maybe that's what he should do now… no that's not what a hero would do, right? Izuku instead decides on choking the villain from behind, he thinks he should be safe from the stinger but just to be safe, time to switch off cloak.

MAXIMUM ARMOR

Izuku quickly loops his left arm around the man's neck and grabs the back of this right forearm, he then places his right hand behind the man's head

The villain fights the sudden sneak attack, arms flailing and tail stabbing at Izuku frantically, or so Izuku assumes, he can't feel the strikes.

Izuku tightens his grip, further cutting off the villain's airflow, this causes the man to fight even harder, desperate for breath.

The struggles die down to less then a fraction of their original intensity before his limbs go weak

Izuku releases his hold and monitors the man, the nanosuit sensing his intention displays his vital signs.

Heart Rate: beginning to stabilize . Respiration rate… 14 per minute. Condition: Unconscious.

Okay, time to go get Ojiro.

"Villains out, it's safe around the corner at least." Izuku informs Ojiro

"You won the fight?" Ojiro notes.

"Not really a fight, I snuck up on him and got him in a chokehold until he knocked out." Izuku admits.

"Good move".

Izuku remembers the other 2 villains he saw on his HUD, "Should we attack the other 2 villains or try to evade them, I don't think there is many villains here honestly both because I remember seeing most of them in the main center and because why would they send a lot of villains here for 2 students, that's assuming there are only us two of course."

Ojiro seems to agree with the second half of that statement, "Yeah I do think it's just us, we haven't really heard any combat sounds or anything, and we should avoid them if we can. Why waste time we don't need to waste?"

"True, well now that the guy around the corner is gone we should be getting out of this zone soon, I don't see any more fire past this building", Izuku then walks over with Ojiro past the corner.

It isn't long until they leave the area they were in with the fire and arrive at what seems like a mountain.

"So the villains mentioned the disruptor thing is at the top of the mountain?" Ojiro asks.

Izuku had forgotten about his little lie, "Uh- Yeah they said it like it was with people or was a person", that should be vague enough, and it probably is a person's quirk. "Hey Ojiro I'm sure there's a path up somewhere but I think it would take too long to look for it, plus I'm pretty confident that I can climb this mountain in around 5 or 6 minutes, not to be rude but do you think you can keep up?"

Ojiro stares at the mountain up and down, "Well my tail is pretty good for this sort of thing so I won't be a burden at the very least."

"Okay let's go"

MAXIMUM SPEED

Izuku knows that he won't be able to make it all the way to the top with maximum speed but he can still move while energy is regenerating.

He runs up the start of the mountain but then he has to slow down to more of a jog as the mountain becomes more steep. The speed of the nanosuit is able to make up for Izuku's lack of climbing experience as any slipping that is made is quickly made up by the speed at which he continues to move forward. Whenever there is a place for him to gain a solid foothold he pushes harder to get an extra boost in movement.

When his energy runs out he grabs a hold of a crack in the mountainside with his right hand and looks over his shoulder for Ojiro. He actually isn't that far behind, it looks like he could catch up in a bit under a minute.

This cycle continues for a while, going full speed with maximum speed, then slowing down and keeping a steady pace while his energy regains. His guess proves correct as he scales the mountain in about 6 and a half minutes. He looks back down to Ojiro and looks like he needs another 2 minutes to catch up more or less

"Huff- Huff- man Huff- how are you so fast Huff- And you don't even look winded!"Ojiro is hunched over taking deep, lungfuls of air.

"I was tired but Ive also had some time to catch my breath, do you need a minute?", Izuku figures he should wait for a while since he doesn't want to overwork Ojiro

"No I…I'm good I'm good I can handle walking and i'll be back to normal in a few minutes", Ojiro confesses.

They are walking for less than a minute when Izuku sees a blinding flash of yellow electric light. Kaminaris quirk is electricity! He could be in trouble! "Ojiro, that was probably Kaminari, and he's probably under attack, you seem too tired for combat so stay behind while I go ahead."

"Shit… just be careful class prez" Ojiro smirks as he says that last part.

Izuku runs forward but the only markers he sees are 3? Friendly ones and 1 enemy, 4 total. His run slows down until he reaches the large boulder where he decides for a more stealthy approach.

CLOAK ENGAGED

Izuku slowly emerges from behind the boulder and observes the scene at hand. Bad time to reflect but he feels grateful that he was only jumped by 6 people because there are about 30 fallen villains here for 3 students, overkill is not even close to the right word. Two of the students end up being Yaoyorozu and Jiro and are standing near a strange gray blanket and then the person he considers his best friend, Kaminari, is being held by his shirt by a villain pointing an electric finger at his head.

Izuku makes his way behind the villain being sure to watch his step as he does, he doesn't want the villain to hear his footsteps and hurt someone.

"If you don't resist I'll let this kid go but if you try anything else then… It's time to choose, your life or his.", the villain slowly moves his hand from Kaminari's head to the girls.

This is the best opportunity Izuku is going to get so as the villain aims his finger at the girls he decloaks behind the villain. In the brief moment it takes for him to wind his fist back he sees a flash of surprise on both of the girls' faces to his appearance. He then hits the villain hard in his left rib with a left hook and as the villain goes flying due to impact Izuku grabs Kaminari from his grip.

"Whee Whee Whee", Kaminari gives a thumbs up. Izuku figures this is what happens when he overuses his quirk; he actually hasn't seen it happen before but based on what Kaminari told him it seems the same.

The villain isn't out of the fight just yet so Izuku gently pushes his friend aside and runs in the direction he sent his foe flying. Said foe is just barely getting back up but Izuku doesn't let up, right when he gets near the villain raises his hand at Izuku. Izuku assumes he means to shoot a beam of electricity at him so he dodges to the right while running, a good thing he does as his hunch is proved correct when electricity flies past him.

Once Izuku reaches the villain he throws another punch to his chest while the villain is on his knees, then as he is once again falling over Midoriya sends a final blow to his skull shaped head, or possibly helmet.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVE COMPLETED.

"Are you guys okay?",now that the threat is gone, Izuku turns to the girls.

"Yeah we're fine, we had beaten all the villains by hiding under that rubber blanket while Kaminari used his max output, but that guy was hiding underground so he evaded it", Jiro fills Izuku in on the situation.

"I had created the blanket so I was unprepared to handle the appearance of the final villain", Yaoyorozu apologizes. She is holding her arms around her chest and Izuku realizes her uniform is torn open so he very quickly looks away and turns beet red under the helmet.

"WooOOooOO"

"Not your fault, you all did well" Izuku praises.

"Still, Thank you for saving us", Yaoyorozu genuinely says to the nanosuit warrior.

Izuku blushes under his helmet, "It's no problem, Ojiro should be catching up to us soon by the way I ran into him in the fire zone, I just ran ahead of him here so I could help you guys out faster". He makes sure not to stare at her and instead looks in the direction Ojiro should be coming from.

Izuku thinks back to right before he was transported, Aizawa was running down the stairs last he saw him, he wonders how his sensei is faring right now. Izuku steps over to the nearby bridge and peers over the edge towards the main center.

Izuku zooms in with his HUD and he freezes at what he sees, his sensei is being crushed by the large bird headed villain, it looks like his arm is being torn off and a puddle of blood is forming. He has to save him.

MAXIMUM ARMOR

Izuku jumps over the side of the mountain, it is not as high of a jump as the one before so he is confident armor mode will last. He ignores the voices filled with confusion behind him and focuses on his landing.

THUD

He's fine, energy is more than 3/4ths since the drop was only about 2 stories. Now he can slide down the remainder of the mountain, what took him 6 minutes to climb takes only 2 to go down.

MAXIMUM SPEED

Izuku alternates between maximum speed and a normal run when energy would run out, it isn't long until he reaches the same area as Aizawa and the villains. In the area near where they are there are many unconscious villains as well as a few still standing but deciding not to interrupt the beating Aizawa is receiving.

Before Izuku fully arrives at the scene he sees the blue haired villain talking to the black portal before Kacchan and Kirishima suddenly attack them both, well more so Kacchan starts attacking and Kirishima follows him.

"I guess I can play around with some kids for now", the villain playfully states as he waves away the portal villain. The assault leaves the man on pure defense but he doesn't seem worried, as he dodges every attack no more words are said and no attempt to retaliate is made.

Izuku stares at Aizawa to get a reading on him.

Shouta Aizawa Heart rate 105 bpm, Large blood loss, 6 broken ribs, broken elbow, Left and right humerus broken , skull Frontal and Parietal fractures, possible internal bleeding, and dropping temperature.

This is bad, it's amazing that he is still at all conscious, thankfully they aren't all that far from the entrance. Izuku is confident he can make it at least to the bottom of the steps with Aizawa in his arms in about a minute with the help of speed mode but that big villain is standing right next to Aizawa so first he has to sneak past him and grab his sensei.

CLOAK ENGAGED

Izuku quickly sneaks past the continuing 'fight' and arrives at Aizawa behind the big villain, he carefully decloaks and places his finger in the 'shushing' gesture when Aizawa sees him. He then carefully loops his arms under his teachers legs and back before lifting, one quick turn to ensure his 2 classmates are still holding their own and then he prepares to leave

MAXIMUM SPEED

With his teacher in arms Izuku runs to the bottom of the entrance stairs , the entire way there he is sure to be as smooth as possible as he doesn't want to further hurt his sensei. However there are 4 villains in the way that Aizawa must've missed when he was clearing the area, all four villains seem rather weak though so Izuku has faith he can handle them even while holding Aizawa.

The first male villain tries to stab Izuku with a knife but Izuku only readjusts his hold on Aizawa and roughly shoulder bashes the villain to the ground with the force of his run, he doesn't get up. The second villain throws what looks to be steel balls from his hands aimed for Midoriya's face, he slides under the projectiles before getting back to his feet and jumping in order to kick the villain directly in his face.

The final 2 villains both rush forward one with claws instead of hands and the other with hammer fists and a hammer face. Izuku jumps up yet again and sends a side kick at the head of the hammer villain, he kicks with such force that his leg continues forward and kicks the head of the other villain as well, both fall to the floor.

ENERGY DEPLETED

Good timing since Izuku is finally at the start of the stairs and there are no villains remaining that would take advantage of Aizawas defeated state.

Izuku gently places his sensei at the foot of the stairs hoping all the movement just now didn't hurt him anymore than he already is. He quickly removes his visor from his helmet with a click, "I'm sorry Aizawa but I am going to leave you here for now, I have to go back and help them out". Izuku doesn't think he is even awake but he still felt the need to explain himself.

The moment he is turning to leave he hears a cough, "Midoriya… don't let the one with all the hands grab you, his quirk decays anything it… touches, and the big one… its strength rivals All Mights, don't fight them just get them to run."

"I'll- I'll try", Izuku then puts his visor back on and turns to run back to assist Kacchan and Kirishima, once he arrives he stops to catch his breath when the villain speaks.

"You know I came here expecting to kill All Might but here I am playing around with some kids". The villain jumps back, "I've decided, even if he doesn't show up I'm sure killing some students will take down the symbols of peace's pride a bit", the hand covered villain takes a leap back away from the action. "Kurogiri" the man summons as he runs back into the fray.

This time as the 2 boys go to attack Kurogiri places a portal in front of Kacchan, sending him to the other side of the main plaza. Izuku runs towards the many handed villain as he remembers what Aizawa had just told him about his quirk, they don't know and Kirishima won't be avoiding any attacks because of his quirk.

"KIRISHIMA, DON'T LET HIM GRAB YOU", Izuku warns as he grows closer but he won't be there fast enough to help Kirishima, he'd have to endure on his own for a few seconds.

The villain tries to grab Kirishima the second he is in range but thankfully Kirishima evades the initial attack, but he isn't fast enough and he is grabbed by the villain's other hand. Izuku screams internally as he is now only a handful of meters away.

"AAAAAHHHH", Kirishima yells as his arm begins to flake away, Izuku finally is close enough to assist so he tries to send a punch to the villains ribs but before it connects the man jumps back a few feet. Izuku takes a second to look at the damage on Kirishima's arm and it is bad, the armor of his quirk is completely broken away where it was grabbed and his muscle is also visible and this was from less than 2 seconds of contact.

"Kirishima stay back I'll handle this", Izuku gently moves the red haired boy aside.

"No, I can still fight!" he grunts out.

Izuku looks back at the boy, he is breathing heavily and shaking lightly, "No sit this out, this is an order", Izuku doesn't know where that last half came from but it feels… familiar.

"...Okay", Kirishima backs up to a safe distance away from the combat zone.

The villain runs towards Izuku and sends out a flurry of attacks, each intending to grab the boy and turn him to dust. He's fast but the girl villain with the knuckle dusters he fought before was faster, so none of the attacks reach their target. After the villain sends out a particularly wide right overhand Izuku finally spots an opening he can exploit with no chance of a counter attack, and he abuses the opening with a left to the face then a right to his ribs. The punch to the face was so efficient that it caused the hand that was latched on his face to bruise and fall off.

The many handed man backs up from the fight and stares at the hand on the floor, "You… You hit father… YOU HURT FATHER". The man stares up in a blind rage at Izuku, so bloodlusted he is trembling.

As the villain is currently having an episode Izuku briefly glances at where Kacchan was last seen, he is still there about 50 or 60 feet away. Thankfully Kacchan has won his fight and is holding the mist down by a metal brace with his back to Izuku.

Izuku readies himself as the villain comes back for another attack, but instead the villain notices the direction his visor was facing and turns to see the situation. Instead of going back to attack the nanosuit operator he turns and runs to Kacchan.

SHIT, Kacchan doesn't know about his quirk and he won't be able to react in time or if he does he'd have to let go of the mist villain!

MAXIMUM SPEED

Izuku bolts to save his once friend Kacchan and is rapidly gaining ground but the distance is so short that the villain might reach Kacchan before he does. He pushes to run even faster than he ever has before, finally both reach Kacchan at the same time and Izuku insteading of punching the villain directly he punches where the villain is going to be. But the man turns his head and grins before dashing back leaving both Izuku and Kacchan exposed, Izuku can't stop his momentum in time to attack the fleeing villain. Kacchan has only now noticed them and is starting to turn when the villain enacts his plan.

"Nomu".

It is as though time is at a standstill as Izuku's mind realizes what just happened, the villain somehow knew Izuku would be fast enough to stop him from killing Kacchan. He just led him there so he could call out his trump card, his killing machine… his Nomu, even now he can barely see it moving due to its immense speed. He was betting on the power of his Nomu and he won, he can't outspeed that monster, and Kacchan hasn't even fully realized what is happening, he means to kill them both at once. With his current speed and momentum he can maybe save himself, but if he pushes Kacchan out of the way of the oncoming beast then he won't have time to escape. There was never really any other choice, Izuku pushes Kacchan out of the way.

MAXIMUM ARM-

The first blow, an uppercut, lifts Izuku's body off the ground and completely drains his already not full energy and forcefully hits him out of armor mode. His body screams in pain as the force of the impact that wasn't absorbed makes its way past the nanosuit.

The second blow is a straight punch and it sends Izuku flying, his HUD is now flashing red and warning texts cover his vision but he can't bring himself to read them as he flies through the air. Izuku adjusts his eyes to look around before he lands, he stares at the top of the stairs, is that… All Might?

BAMM!

Izuku doesn't know how he is still clinging to consciousness but he is still awake, he's landed on the side of a mountain, and pulls himself out of the crater he made in it. Maybe it's the same one he jumped off, but he can't bring himself to care about the small details right now.

INJURIES: 8 BROKEN RIBS, 3 FRACTURED RIBS, OBLIQUE FRACTURE ON LEFT HUMERUS, COMPOUND FRACTURES ON RIGHT FEMUR AND TIBULA, COMPOUND FRACTURE ON LEFT CLAVICLE, GREENSTICK FRACTURE ON STERNUM, THORACIC VERTEBRAE FRACTURE T5-7 & 11, INTERNAL BLEEDING FROM LIVER.

Oh god how hard did that thing hit him?! How is he even still standing? Izuku takes a step forward, he should get back to the entrance, and he falls to the ground. Okay the pain is catching up to him, the nanosuit must've been using his adrenaline or something to keep him alive and conscious but now that is starting to wear off.

Didn't the nanosuit have its comms disabled? That must mean there is normally a form of communication. He is losing consciousness so he has to be quick, hopefully it is connected to his phone like he would assume. He mentally pictures the messaging app he would normally use on his phone and thank all that is good it works.

He selects Kaminari on his contacts and through eyes growing heavy and vision growing black he sends a simple message, "At foot of mountain with heavy injuries, gonna black out, pls help".

Izuku tries one final time to get up but only manages to lift his head, the last thing he sees before finally going under is All Might exchanging attacks with the Nomu.

Something that stinks about trying to be mostly authentic to characters is you have to use their character traits, like even with the nanosuit affecting his development Izuku wouldn't be able to change his attack pattern quickly or have the knowledge to realize what is happening at times. I wish I could have him quickly handle all encounters but I already buffed him quite a bit from the canon. I tried to balance it out by showing his inexperience when outnumbered by skilled opponents or outsmarted by a villain during battle.

Also I feel like some people might be upset at the level of damage Izuku has sustained this chapter but to address that I have this to say. First off, while the nanosuit did in fact survive a fall from orbit, we have no idea how long it took for Prophet to recover after that, could've been days, could've been months. Then at that point the body in the suit was more alien DNA and machine than human, Izuku is not that, also by then the Nanosuit was at its final step in its evolution, Izuku has yet to master the nanosuit to such a degree as of now.
