Chapter 3: Crimson On Crimson Hate
"FUCK YOU EDEN!" "NO FUCK YOU FREED!" Eden and Freed continue to throw vague threats and insults while Joseph at this point is sitting down on a church pew smoking a cigarette. "You guys have been arguing for 15 minutes and I'm getting bored, Freed where are those shitty crows I want to have fun before I die of boredom." Freed hearing this starts thrusting his hips while smacking the air. "Oh, you're gonna have FUN with them ehh?" while maniacally laughing. "There's 2 chicks one with big tits and the other is a prissy bitch, there's also a guy if ya like your dick smelling like fallen cock muffin." Freed said the last part while sneering. Joseph taking a long drag of his cigarette then said. "No, I already had that type of fun today. I'm killing the rest."
"Oh well, that's less fun but hey I'll help you out move that big ass bookcase and you'll get to them." Joseph walks over to the bookcase and starts to push it with Freed's help. "Hey, mind leaving the one with the big tits body for the most part intact? I have some plans for that one, if ya know what I mean." Freed says while licking the side of a holy gun, in response to this Joseph finishes his cigarette dropping it and stomping it out then looks at Freed with a wicked look. "Sure I'll leave her limbs mostly intact so she can struggle." Freed licks his lips with a perverted grin across his face. Eden holds onto Joseph a bit and walks in front of him.
"Listen, Freed you can still go back to the embrace of God and turn your ways… but if you don't." Eden points his pistol at Freed and pulls the hammer back. "I will kill you, and let God sort you out." Freed pistol whips Eden before hitting him in the gut, Eden shoots Freed in the leg making him fall to the ground in pain. "FUCK, ARE THOSE HOLLOW POINT!?" Eden presses the barrel of his gun into the forehead of Freed, "Recite to me Mat 5th verse 38" Freed thinks and speaks up, "Dumb angel bitches get raped by demons and become fallens or some shit, also your not having kids." Freed says kicking Eden in the groin before jumping up.
Eden tries to get up and stumbles onto his knees, he aims toward Freed and starts shooting. "That h-hurts, a Jose- where is he?" as Eden says this Joseph sits in the middle of the staircase underground. "Draig, you there?" "Of course I am you ignorant child." "You're acting like the white one." "LOW BLOW YOU ASSHOLE!" Draig yells as Joseph laughs "Anyways, how should I kill the prissy fallen and the guy?" "Please tell me you're not going to leave the big-breasted one alive." "Oh no, I'll leave the body for the most part intact for him." Joseph grins while walking down the stairs.
"Hey Freed, why are you down- Who the hell are you!?" a man in a suit and a fedora says while getting up. "BOOST!" Joseph grabs a brick and throws it at the man's face forcing him to duck, Joseph runs up and slits the man's stomach, the mushy contents of his dinner falling out with the smell of iron and stomach acid. "Ew, the hell is that smell? JESUS FUCK DOHNASEEK!" a small blond fallen angel yells before making a magic circle, she summons a holy light spear and sends it flying at Joseph. Joseph dodges out of the way with ease. "Holy shit you fallen angels have names!?" The now dying Dohnaseek weakly stands with the help of the blonde. "Of course we do shit head." He said with venom. "Sucks to suck," Joseph said playfully sticking out his tongue. "BOOST!" Draig cried out.
"AWWW YEAH, I'MA BREAK ALL YALL CROWS!" Joseph yells in a booming voice. As Joseph hypes himself up a navy blue-haired fallen angel drops down with a holy spear but Joseph lifts his left arm to block it. "Holy knockers, I guess you're the one Freed wanted alive." Joseph shrugs before breaking the light spear leading to a swift punch to the throat, a crunching sound comes as she falls and holds her throat. The blond fallen angel makes another light spear to go in for a charge, Joseph effortlessly dodges to the right and cuts her arm off. Blood spews out onto the wall as the fallen cries in pain. "AGGGHAA!"
She screams before getting her back split open and the back of her head stabbed through, blood floods the ground as the fallen by the name of Dohnaseek sighs. "I'm already dead so no point in wasting energy on me." Joseph scowls in disgust. "Shut the fuck up crow." he rips the fallens stomach out letting his inners spill out, he looks down at the last angel struggling to breathe. "Ya know I hate you crows, but I hate rapists more." Joseph smashes the woman's head with his foot making brain matter fill the air. "Just like the other bitch, guess brains smell metallic after all." he grins and starts to cut her torso into chunks and covers his nose once he cuts up the bowls and platter. Transforming his sword back into a gold bracer.
Once back up the stairs leaving the bloody mess behind he finds Eden sitting on a pew "What the hell happened down there?" "All you need to know is there are no more fallen angels." Joseph yawns before walking out of the church, Eden follows behind. "So where is Freed's body?" "He got away before I could kill him, and shot me a few good times. As you can see. Also, I'ma be your Gym teacher starting tomorrow, and if ya know a crimson-head girl tell her she has detention." Eden says with a smile while walking off. "Goodbye, my Eternal Nemis." "Goodbye my stalwart rival, we shall have our fated clash soon, you can bet on that," Joseph said, flashing a stupidly wide grin.
"I look forward to it, see ya!" Eden unfurls his wings and flies off towards the residential district of Kuoh. Feeling his skin crawl, Joseph immediately looks straight ahead down the hill, seeing eleven devils at the bottom. "I suppose I should have expected them to come here after all, I'm encroaching on ultimate class with my boosts." Joseph said. "Yes partner you're basically announcing where you're at currently so what are you going to do these numbers don't look too good." Draig stated. "Yeah, the way I am now I won't be able to handle them all attacking me at once. However, I wonder how they'll react to that." Joseph smiled mischievously.
"It has been a while since you've used it, partner," Draig said following him up Joseph spoke. "Yeah it's been an entire year since I've used it in combat, I guess we should stop stalling." "Yes, let's." "LETS MAKE THEM FEAR THE RED DRAGON EMPERORS NAME DRAIG!" "RIGHT PARTNER WELSH DRAGON BALANCE BREAKER: WELSH DRAGON BOOSTED GEAR SCALE MAIL OVER BOOSTER!" Enveloped in a flash of red Joseph appears covered in a blood-red armor letting out a war cry.
Scene switch four hours ago: Kuho academy
A young man is seen running down a school hallway, this young man being Saji Genshirou "I have to tell Sona about what the transfer student did." Saji breathes in before turning the corner and slamming into the door. "Saji, why did you force the doors open? You know what will happen to you now?" The council president asks in an annoyed tone. "Fuck, she must have been talking about something important!" "Sona- I mean President that will have to wait, that Joseph guy killed a fallen Angel in a store!" Saji exclaimed. "WHAT!? YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID THAT SOONER!" Sona jumps out of her chair slamming her hands onto the desk. "DAMN IT! EVERYONE GET READY TO WIPE THE CITY'S MEMORIES OF THAT!" All the students in the room stood up. "YES MA'AM!" they all say in unison.
After everyone left the room Sona conjured a magic circle for communication ring…ring…ri- "Hello What's up Sona" Sona sighing "What's up is that transfer student you had your eye on, he killed a fallen angel in a store." HE DID WHAT!?" Rias yelled. "Yeah I had the same reaction, listen my peerage and I are going to clear the town's memory of this in the meantime. I need you to go check his house and see if he's there after you're done with that meet up with us in the town square." "Got it, see you there Sona." "See you Rias." hanging up the call Sona quickly went to help her peerage sort this mess out.
Scene switch two and a half hours later: town square
After clearing every person in the town's memory of the death of the fallen angel the student council sits in the town square, Sona yawns and stretches. "Where could he be? I even got Rias to help, speaking of the devil." a transportation circle appears on the ground showing the Gremory symbol in crimson red. Rias and her peerage appear from small glowing lights that expand out. The light disappears behind them as Rias and her group look around for Sona and her peerage. Spotting them they quickly move to greet their fellow devils. "About time you showed up, Rias, I was beginning to worry you got lost." Sona said with a friendly smile.
"Ha ha Sona." Rias said sarcastically. "Did you find him at his house?" Sona inquired. "No we didn't. The only thing we found is that he's living in a big house with a backyard, a nice kitchen, and four bedrooms with one being turned into a home gym." Rias stated which made Sona and the rest of her peerage shocked. "How the hell did he even get that much money to buy a house like that."
"Don't know, maybe we'll ask him when we see him, speaking of which if he wasn't at his house there's only one other place he could be at." Rais said, expecting Sona to follow her line of thinking. "The church." Sona accurately deduced. "I always knew you were smart Sona." Rias jokes. "If you have time to joke, you have time to run, come on let's go."
Present time: Bottom of church hill, Kuoh
"We finally made it here, however it seems we came late to the party." Kiba stated, "Remember everyone we're dealing with someone who's almost high class and can boost their power to be that of an ultimate class." Rias stated in an authoritative tone, Sona sensing a holy energy looked up seeing a four-winged angel flying away from the church.
"Rias is that the angel you told me about on the way here." Sona asked not looking away from him for even a second. "Yeah, that's the annoying angel I had the displeasure of meeting. I wonder if he picked a fight with Joseph. He looks pretty beat up." Rias said, wondering what happened.
It annoyed her to no end that she didn't have any information but, she was sure Sona was even more frustrated given how Sona was a strategist and Sona valued information above all else. Sona looking back down started racking her brain to come up with a decent plan of attack making one she speaks. "Alright, Rias, I have a strategy. My peerage will distract him with hit-and-run tactics while Saji will use his sacred gear to absorb his power to weaken him. I want your peerage to be the vanguard because all your pieces are heavy hitters. You, Akeno, Tsubaki, and I will attack long-range to provide cover fire."
"Alright Sona, Kiba, and Koneko foll-" As Rias speaks a red flash of light engulfs the sky, feeling a massive power surge on the top of the hill making everyone fall to their knees clutching their chests however Sona and Rias remain standing heaving unable to catch their breath. "There's so much malice embedded within this power." Rias thought to herself. After a few seconds the heavy pressure they all felt subsided. "Rias, we should rethink our plan to fight him," Sona said, trembling from the power she just witnessed. "What do you have in mind?" Rias said shakily, turning to her friend, being shocked by the utter look of pure fear on her face and the trembling of her body. "She must've not been able to get past the pure hatred." Rias thought to herself solemnly. "Let's just talk to him. I don't want to die." Sona said, trying to put on a brave face for her peerage.
Rias looking behind her saw Sona's peerage not holding up well. Saji threw up, Tsubaki looked like she checked out mentally and the rest were crying like babies. Rias then looked at her own peerage who were doing much better, but not by much. Koneko was trying her best to stop herself from shaking, Akeno's signature smile was gone and a look of fear etched across her face. But Kiba was holding up surprisingly well all things considered, maybe it was because he was the only one here you could consider a warrior. But the look on his face was very strained.
"Yeah I think that's a better option considering no one even has the spirit to fight anymore." After ten minutes of the devils putting themselves together they finally made their appearance in front of Joseph who was standing there with his arms crossed. "Took you long enough." he said in a semi-annoyed voice. "We're sorry it took so long but not everyone here could handle the malice you released." Rias said in a joking way trying to put up a front of cool confidence. "Whatever I don't care just state your names devils I'll allow it. Oh and I meant the high class, not you low born weaklings." Immediately getting angry Rais stepped forward almost saying something until Sona stopped her. "He's just trying to provoke you. I am Sona Sitri, next head of the Sitri clan. I am also the student council president at Kuoh Academy so you probably know me better as Sona Shitori." Sona stated in a formal tone giving a small bow.
Grumbling to herself Rias finally speaks up. "I am Rias Gremory. I am the next head of the Gremory clan and the president of the occult research club at Kuoh Academy." Rais said with an annoyed but formal tone. "Those were fine introductions, truly fitting for ladies of noble heritage. I am Joseph Smith, the current Red Dragon Emperor of this generation." Joseph said, brimming with pride. "Partner the devil with sandy blonde hair has Vritra's energy within him." Draig said within Joseph's mind. "The prison dragon king?" "The very same." Joseph smiles under the helmet he's wearing.
"Now I'm sure you have some reason for speaking to me with all these weaklings in tow, however I have taken an interest in one of them. You, the one who holds Vritra, state your name." Joseph said, pointing directly at Saji. "I'm Saji Genshriou and I don't know who Vritra is." Saji said, confused. "Then you must be so weak that you haven't awakened him yet." "Or he doesn't have all the pieces." Draig said, making his presence known. "That too." Joseph added. "So what do you want?" Joseph said, looking at the two heiresses. "We want to know why you killed that fallen angel in broad daylight at that store." Sona questioned "And leaving her filled with fluids we'll say." Rias butted in. "Well if you're thinking I raped her your wrong, we were having fun then she tried to kill me. So I stomped the bitches head in, but before I did asked for directions to her hideout so I could kill the rest of them." Joseph stated matter of factly.
"Why kill them all if only one attacked you?" Rias inquired. "First reason if one attacked me the others will too. Second I hate dirty fucking crows." while saying this a girl with a long ponytail squirmed. Seeing this Joseph then unfolds his arms. "But it looks like I missed one." He says joyfully, leaking a bit of bloodlust. "If you disrespect my queen again I will not be as kind to you." Rais said with a visible bloodlust and rage in her eyes. "Oh, didn't mean to enrage you Miss Gremory. I just believe all crows are the same, sick disgusting rapist." Joseph says while shrugging he leans back against the wall of the church. Sona sighs before clearing her throat and responding.
"We would prefer if you didn't make a mess around town, as this is Rias's territory." "Fine, as long as you don't start anything I'll play nice." Joseph cracks his knuckles. "Take back what you said about fallen angels." Rias starts to make a magic circle but the blond boy stops her, "Don't, you will start a fight you are not ready for, Just let it go." Rais opens her mouth to say something but stops herself and turns around. "Fine, just remember this is my turf. If you want more freedom of actions you have to deal with me, get it?" Joseph smiles and steps off the wall, he strides over to her. Staring her in the eyes. "Did you threaten me, Gremory brat?" "No, I was telling you the rules of this city. Follow them if you like this town."
Joseph doesn't respond to her, instead he looks down as if he was trying to remember something then looks up and finally says something. "By the way, you have detention." leaving everyone confused he pushes past and flies off. "Fucking draconic bastered, I have to report him to my brother. And what the hell did he mean by I have detention?" Rias said, frustrated at Joseph and his actions. "You know Rias this could be a blessing in disguise he could help with your situation." Sona said, pushing her glasses up, having them reflect in the moonlight. "Sona! He's a homicidal maniac, he's just like everything we heard about the Red Dragon Emperor." Rias said appalled that her friend would suggest such a thing.
"Rias, every Red Dragon Emperor before him was a tyrant, someone who murdered innocent people just because they wanted to, technically what he did tonight was in self defense." Sona said pointing out the facts to Rias "Then what about how aggressive he was with us?" Rias asked in an accusatory manner. "We were a bunch of devils getting ready to attack him thinking we could. He pulled out his balance breaker most likely as a deterrent, and it worked."
Rias goes to speak but nothing comes out. Instead she unfurles her wings and flies off with her peerage follow soon after, Sona stretches before looking at Saji. "Saji come here, you still have not been punished for breaking the doors lock." "W-What! I thought I just forced it open!" "No, you broke it. And in doing so I have to punish you with a thousand spankings, come here now." Sona says as she points at the ground in front of her.
Scene Switch: Joseph's house
Joseph opens the front door and stretches. "Ahh home sweet ho- WHO THE FUCK TOUCHED MY SHIT!?"
