No One's Pov
At a warehouse, a female's guard is walking around as then Kitty phases through the ground behind the guard. Kitty taps the guard on the shoulder, then she turns around and sees Kitty, who gives her a full face of knockout gas falling down to the ground.
"North perimeter secure." Kitty said, talking on her communicator.
Jacob was on the roof of the warehouse looking at the male guard like a leopard ready to strike his prey. Then Jacob jumped off the roof and tackled the guard and sprayed the male guard with knockout gas.
"The south perimeter is secure." Jacob said, talking on his communicator.
"Okay. Let's make it a clean rescue." Scott said, talking on his communicator.
Inside the warehouse, Kurt and Scott teleport inside, but we're falling to the ground.
"Jean!" Scott yelled.
Jean then used her telekinesis to stop Scott and Kurt from falling straight to the ground. Now, they were floating in the air.
"Sorry. You guys are heavy." Jean said on her communicator as she lowered them down to the person they had to rescue."
"Storm? Storm?" Scott asked but got no reply. "She's out."
Scott then tried to break the chain that was holding Storm in place, then Scott fired his eye beams twice, but both times, he missed
"Nice aim." Kurt said.
Scott then fired his beam for the third time, and it hit its target and broke through the chain, then the two high-five each other.
"Which one of you guys has been putting on weight?" Jean asked. "I can hardly hold you."
"It's Nightcrawler. Burgers seven days
a week will do that to a fella." Cyclops answered.
"Ah, the breakfast of mutants." Nightcrawler remarked.
Then the male security guard who recovered from Jacob's knock-out gas grabbed Jean by the shoulder, making her drop both Scott and Kurt, and they fell to the ground , and Scott helped Kurt to his feet.
"Let's grab her and port out of here!" Scott said.
Scott then goes to grab Storm, but to his surprise, it wasn't Storm but Rogue, then she grabbed a hold of Scott.
"Gotcha!" Rogue said as she touched Scott's face and absorbed his powers.
Rogue then shoots a beam at Kurt in the chest, sending him back a few feet and landing on his back, then Scott looks at Rogue.
"Hold it! Hold it! Stop the simulation!" Scott yelled.
The simulation stops and it turns out they were in the Danger Room, the whole time Professor X then came rolled in with Jacob,Kitty, and the two security guards that turn out to be Storm and Logan.
"Scott, you're never to stop a simulation unless you're hurt." Professor X explained.
"Trust me, that hurt." Kurt remarked.
"Why is Rogue in this mockup?" Scott asked. "She was not part of the briefing."
"Simply the element of surprise. It's part of life. So expect it on every exercise. Professor X answered. "Well, we're finished. Better get to school."
Then the Professor rolls away.
"Come on, Jean. We got to help Redetzke
load for the field trip, you too, Jacob."
"Okay." Jacob remarked.
"All right. Double-check your spelunking gear. Make sure your packs contain a hardhat, spiked boots, rope, compass, rations...lamps, candles, and matches. Remember, there are no sporting goods stores in the Tapo Caves. Oh, and I'd better not see any Game Toys." Mr. Redetzke said, which caused the other students to groan in disappointment.
Meanwhile, Scott, Jacob, and Jean were walking to the bus in their winter gear with the exception of Jacob due to his temperature resistance.
"So he threw off your game by sticking Rogue in a simulation." Jean said. "What's the big deal?"
"Me fouling up isn't the problem." Scott said.
"What, then? Because he chose Rogue?" Jean asked.
Yeah, I guess. How can we pretend she's the enemy in simulations while we're trying... to convince her to be our friend? If we can't think of her as a friend, she'll never want to join us." Scott explained.
"Hey, it was only a simulation, Scott.
Nobody wants you to stop trying with Rogue by the way Jacob. How are things between you and Rogue?" Jean asked.
"Well, the last time I saw her, she trapped both me and Kurt in the Middleverse, but I think she didn't mean to do it." Jacob answered.
Unbeknownst to them, Principal Darkhölme heard what they talked about.
Meanwhile, Rogue was working out in the weight room, then she walked by the window, and she heard Scott's voice.
"Jean, tie that down over there." Scott said.
Rogue then looked out the window and saw Jacob, Scott, and Jean working on tying down the snowmobiles.
"Got it." Jean replied.
"This trip ought to be fun." Jacob said.
Rogue then looked to her side to see Principal Darkhölme standing there.
"Principal Darkholme!" Rogue gasps.
"He's never going to be your friend.
You know that." Principal Darkhölme said.
"Who? Scott? I ain't interested in him." Rogue retorted.
"Really? Tell me, dear, have you forgotten how Mr. Summers and his friends attacked you?" Principal Darkhölme asked.
"No. It's just that, and Jacob didn't attack me." Rogue retorted.
"Just this morning, I overheard them
discussing their simulated... battle exercises with you as their target." Principal Darkhölme explained.
"But why? Why would they do that?" Rogue asked.
I think it's time that you be reminded
just who your friends really are." Principal Darkhölme said, then handed Rogue a backpack. "Enjoy the field trip, dear. It should prove most enlightening."
Back outside, Jacob, Scott, and Jean are loading up the backpacks into the bus when Mr. Redetzke came up to them to talk to Jean.
"Jean, bad news." Mr. Redetzke said.
"What?" Jean asks.
"Seems Administration won't clear
your time off for the field trip. Something about too many absent days in your file." Mr. Redetzke explained.
"Wait a second. Those were all approved." Scott said.
If they just call Professor Xavier, he'll..." Jean started to say, but Mr. Redetzke cut her off.
"I wish we had the time, Jean, but they've already filled your spot. I promise we'll clear this up when I get back. Hey, I'm really sorry." Mr. Redetzke said.
"Yeah. well... Have fun." Jean said, then grabbed her bookbag and walked away.
"Oh, man, that stinks." Scott said.
"Who filled her spot?" Jacob asked.
"New student." Mr. Redetzke answered.
Both Jacob and Scott looked over to see Rogue getting on the bus, and then she looked at them and gave them a smirk.
"Okay, junior geologists. Let's pile in. We're behind schedule." Mr. Redetzke said.
Meanwhile, Professor X was in a room reading a book with a window open.
It was getting windy outside, so the professor closed his book and rolled over to the window to close it, but before he could close it, both he and his wheelchair got pushed back into a dresser.
"Magneto, why are you here?" Professor X asked.
"I've come to pay you a compliment. Your young charges, they seem to be flourishing under your tutelage." Magneto answered.
"Yes. They're doing quite well,"Professor X said.
"I'm referring to the development
of their mutant powers, especially the one with the powers of a god." Magneto retorted.
"I'm very proud of them." Professor X replied.
"Proud." Magneto said. "Yet you don't trust them."
"But I do trust them with my life!" Professor X retorted.
"But not with the truth!" Magneto said.
Magneto pulled Professor X to the open window, but before he could fall out of it, the window closed, but the force of the impact broke the glass. The professor looked for Magneto, but he was nowhere to be found.
Back on the bus, the students were talking among themselves, and then it started snowing.
"Wonderful. It's starting to snow." Mr. Redetzke said.
"Yeah! Fresh powder!" Paul remarked.
"This isn't a snowmobile trip, people. Too much of the white stuff means we turn around." Mr. Redetzke retorted.
The students started to voice their dislike of going back to the school as that was going on. Rogue was staring at Scott and Jacob.
Suddenly, Mr. Redetzke lost control of the bus and started to slide all over the road. Scott then opens a window and uses his eye beams to carve out a line that stops the bus from sliding, and then the bus comes to a stop.
"Nice." Jacob remarked.
"Thanks." Scott said.
"Everybody okay?" Mr. Redetzke asked.
"Oh, now what?" One of the students asked.
"We head back." Mr. Redetzke answered, and then he got back in the driver seat and tried to start up the bus, but it won't start.
"Okay. Okay, people. Now, who
want to get out and push?"
"Mr. Redetzke, why not take our snowmobiles to the cave and wait out the weather there?" Rogue suggested.
"Yes! Love that idea!" Paul exclaimed.
Jacob then caught a scent he had smelled before, but he couldn't figure out what or who's scent it was besides that everybody was all in for Rogue's idea.
Everybody was on a snowmobile Scott with Paul while Jacob rode solo he took his time while Rogue and Scott raced to the cave he saw Rogue had won the race.
"No trophies for second place." Rogue said.
"How did a Southern gal like you learn to handle a snowmobile?" Scott asked.
"Let's just say I'm full of surprises." Rogue said as she walked up to Scott and dragged one of her fingers along his jawline.
Then she saw Jacob on his snowmobile.
"Like I said to Scott, no trophies for you since you came in third place." Rogue said with a smirk.
"Do you think I care?" Jacob said as he got off his snowmobile.
"How are you not freezing right now?" Rogue asked.
"I'm like Elsa from Frozen. The cold never bothers me." Jacob answered as he entered the cave.
Meanwhile, at the X Mansion, Logan was talking to Professor X.
"Why not tell them the truth?" Logan asked
"How do you tell students that their principal... whom they're supposed to respect, and their enemy are one and the same, and how do you tell a boy he has the powers of God that can wipe humans and mutants off the Earth?" Professor X asked right back.
"Look, if there's anything those kids
are used to doing, it's keeping their cool... and keeping their secrets." Logan replied.
"I don't know." Professor X retorted.
They'll deal with it. Trust me. You've taught them a lot." Logan said.
The door of the room where Logan and Professor X were having their conversation open, then Storm and Jean walked in.
"Trouble's brewing a blizzard in the mountains." Storm reported.
"The Geology Club left for their field trip up there this morning." Jean said.
"Jean, I thought you were going with them." Professor X said.
"Yeah. So did I.' Jean replied. "I found out Darkhölme deep-sixed me...at the last minute to make room for her little Rogue."
"Rogue. You're right." Professor X said. "Trouble is brewing."
Back in the Cave Mr. Redetzke was talking to everyone who had made it to the cave.
"Okay, we're stuck here. Might as well make the best of it. So, in review, metamorphic rock. Question: What has altered? Is it from its original state? Answer: Heat, pressure, or chemical change. It was one thing, now it's another. A mutation. Okay, over here. Somebody point out examples
of other igneous rock formations." Mr. Redetzke said.
As the group were walking away, both Scott and Jacob saw Rogue walking deeper into the cave, so they followed her.
As they were looking for her, Scott almost walked off a cliff, but Jacob stopped him, and Scott nodded.
"Rogue?" Scott called out.
Then Jacob and Scott turned around to see Rogue.
"I need to know, Scott, what is it you want from me?" Rogue asked.
"I don't want anything." Scott answered. "Well, except maybe your friendship."
You know what I want? The truth. Am I a target for you and your X-freaks?" Rogue asked.
"I take offense to that Rogue you need to..." Jacob started to say but then saw something that caught his eye.
Jacob walked towards the wall of the cave, and their he dropped his flashlight and got on his knees.
Scott and Rogue went up to him, and Scott turned his flashlight on the wall . They saw a cave painting of Godzilla.
"It's true, isn't it? I know all about your battle simulation, the one where I'm the enemy." Rogue said, ignoring what was going on right now.
"No. No, wait. Rogue, it's complicated.
We're not who you think we are. We've never tried to hurt you. You've been lied to." Scott explained. "Look, we want you with us."
"Yeah? Well, sorry. I'm not interested."Rogue replied.
Then Paul showed up.
"Hey, everything all right?" Paul asked.
Redetzke is looking for you, and what's wrong with Jacob?"
"That's none of you're business Paul!" Jacob yelled in anger, which shocked everyone as he got on his feet.
"Paul, here is your guy's friend, but I bet you never practice fighting him!" Rogue said.
"I'm afraid you'd lose that bet, Rogue."Paul said.
Then Paul turned into Principal Darkhölme
"Hello, Scott, Jacob. Are you more
surprised to see me... or me?" Principal Darkhölme said, revealing her true self, Mystique.
"Principal Dark... You're Mystique?" Scott asked.
"I freaking knew it. I knew I caught your scent back the bus." Jacob said in anger.
"Something Professor Xavier neglected to tell you, boys .Nice of him, wasn't it? You have no idea what he's been hiding from you two. Let me fill you two in. You X-Men are nothing but puppets for Charles Xavier, and I am a sharp blade cutting your strings, just so I can watch you fall!" Mystique said, then she pushed Scott off the cliff.
"No! Scott, I'll gonna kill you for that." Jacob growls as his claws come out along with his dorsal pates and tail.
He roar in anger and charge at Mystique, but she leans out of the way and kicks Jacob in the gut, but he feels nothing, but she sweeps Jacob off his feet then she pushed him off the clif
"No! Scott! Jacob! Why did you do that?" Rogue asked.
"I'm protecting you, dear, from their lies. They only want to hurt you, just like Charles Xavier and all the other X-Men." Mystique answered.
"And you don't? What did you do to Paul?" Rogue asked.
"Let's just say he missed the bus,
thanks to a little miscommunication...about the departure time." Mystique said, then turned into Paul. "Now let's rejoin the others and break the tragic news."
Mystique held out her hand to Rogue, who then took off her glove and grabbed a hold of Mystique's hand.
"No more secrets!" Rouge yelled.
"No!" Mystique yelled.
"Your powers are mine! Your memories are mine!" Rogue said.
Rogue then sees Mystique's memories and sees the truth. Every time the X-Men attacked her, it was actually Mystique. Rouge, then let Mystique go, and Mystique passed out. Now, seeing the truth, she feels back for not believing Jacob and Scott.
"Oh, Scott! Jacob! I'm sorry." Rogue said.
Rogue went to the edge of the clif and looked to see Scott who was half way down the clif holding on to the edge so he doesn't fall into the water but Rogue couldn't see Jacob anywhere.
Scott then sees Mystique jumping down after him as Scott loses his grip and starts to fall, but Mystique, who was actually Rogue, made it just in time to grab his hands and pull him up
"Got you!" Rogue said.
"It's getting hard to tell the players
without a scorecard around here." Scott said. "Thanks for the lift, Rogue."
Before Rogue could reply, they heard grunting the sounds of someone stabbing into the side of the cliff they looked to see Jacob stabbing the side of the cliff with his claws climbing up towards them.
"Jacob, you're alright, buddy." Scott said.
"Of course I am it's gonna take a whole more than that to kill me." Jacob said, then Scott and Rogue help him up. "Thanks, guys."
"Don't thank us yet! Look!" Rogue yelled as they all looked up and saw a huge rock getting pushed over the edge, dropping right on top of them.
"Hang on to me!" Scott said to Rogue.
They jumped into the water below before the rock could hit them. The flow of the water was pushing them towards another cliff. Scott used his eye beams to break some rocks, so they had something to grab.
They grab a rock platform and pull themselves up, but it breaks under their weight, and they start to fall.
Jacob grabs Rogue and holds her close as they hit the ground with Jacob taking most of the impact for Rogue getting the wind knocked out of him while Scott had a bruise on his head and Rogue was fine.
Rogue looked around to see they landed on some kind of rock bridge, and then she checked on Jacob.
"Jacob, are you okay?" Rogue asked.
"Never better check on Scott." Jacob said.
Rogue nodded and checked on Scott.
"Scott? Scott? Listen, just hang on. You're gonna be okay. You're gonna be..." Rouge started to say, but then she looked over the edge. "Oh, man. We're gonna die."
"Thanks for the pep talk. You're almost as good as Jacob." Scott said.
"Hahaha screw you, Glasses." Jacob remarked.
"Rogue, thanks. You saved our lives." Scott said.
"I owed it to you guys. Mystique had me pretty mixed up. Her mind's a tortured mess. But I saw enough to know that you guys are not my enemy. I really thought she cared about me." Rogue replied.
"Hey, she probably does. Sometimes, it's really hard to understand adults. They never seem to trust us." Scott said before passing out.
"Scott, don't pass out. Come on. Wake up!" Rogue yelled.
Then Jacob walked over and lightly slap Scott's face.
"Scott, don't you dare pass out on us, dude." Jacob said.
Meanwhile, the Blackbird is flying as Storm, Logan, and Professor X are trying to find Scott and Jacob.
"We're moving too slow." Logan said. "Spread a little more sunshine, would you?"
"I'm a weather witch, not a snowplow.
I'm doing the best I can." Storm retorted.
Back with the trio, Mystique was looking at them she then turned into a wolf and made her way towards them, then Rogue and Jacob saw the wolf.
"It's Mystique!" Rogue gasps.
"Rogue watch over Scott, she's mine." Jacob said.
Mystique in her wolf form came closer, but Jacob stood in between them as Rouge dragged Scott away as Jacob stood his ground roaring at Mystique.
On the Blackbird, Professor X was trying to talk to either Scott or Jacob telepathically.
"Scott! Scott, I hope you can hear me.
We're on our way. "
"Charles, Scott's hurt get here as fast as you can." Jacob replied.
"Scott's hurt." Professor X said out loud.
"Great. How are we gonna find him
in this whiteout?" Logan said.
"X- Men, they're coming." Scott said
"What? They are? Great." Rogue commented.
"They can't find us." Scott replied.
"Rogue take off Scott's glasses. That way, they will be able to find us." Jacob said.
Rogue did what Jacob said, and Scott opened his eyes, and his eye beams came out shooting out to the sky, and Logan saw it from the Blackbird.
"There! Charles, take the controls." Logan said.
Mystique in her wolf form starts running towards Jacob, jumps on him, and bites his shoulder.
Jacob growls in pain and grabs Mystique's head and slammed it on the bridge then Jacob picks up Mystique and throws her off the bridge but she changes into an eagle but before she could attack again the Blackbird arrived and opened up as Logan stepped out.
"Give it up, Mystique, or you'll be
tangling with a Wolverine!" Logan said.
Mystique then flies away, then the bridge starts to break as Logan grabs Scott, then Rogue and Jacob follow Logan into the Blackbird and take off as the bridge finally breaks.
Inside the Blackbird, Logan sat Scott down on the floor, and Storm checked on him, and then Logan walked over to Rogue.
"Where's your allegiance, kid? Us or them?" Logan asked.
"If I don't say you, will I get thrown out of this jet?" Rogue asked right back, shivering
"Nope. Not our style. We've either earned your trust by now or we haven't."
Rogue then looked around and gave her answer.
"You." Rogue said.
"Welcome to the X-Men." Logan replied.
Everybody was back at the X Mansion, all of them in the living room with a projector in the room.
"It's the same as lying to us. We had a right
to know who our principal really was." Jean said.
"Yeah, man. What did you think
we were gonna do? Go after her?" Kurt asked.
"Man, we know better. She wants to play
like nothing's going down, so can we." Evan said.
"It's like we were playing with fire and didn't even know it." Kitty replied.
"Rogue?" Professor
"It's not my place." Rogue answered.
"Sure it is. You're part of the family now." Kitty said.
"Rouge it's ok tell us what you think of all of this." Jacob added.
"Well, I think... No, I've learned that honesty...is very important between people you care about. At least it is to me." Rogue explained.
"You're right. All of you. I must apologize for keeping this secret from you. But please understand, there are many challenges in your future... secrets, elements of surprise. Some you're ready to deal with, some you're not. In the future, I will try to do better knowing which is which." Professor X said.
Thanks, professor." Scott said. "We're all in this together. It's nice to know
we've all got something to learn. That's what makes us X-Men."
"We'll in that case Jacob. I think it's time." Professor X said.
"You sure, Professor?" Jacob asked, which Professor X nodded.
"What are you talking about." Kurt asked.
"Well, guys, I'm gonna tell you guys something, but what I am about to is probably gonna send you guys back to the Stone Age." Jacob said.
"Jake, if that about the cave painting, Jean and I already know." Scott said.
"Know What?" Kitty asked.
"I know Scott Professor X already informed me, but this is the part both Monarch and I didn't want nobody to know about." Jacob said.
"What's that?" Jean asked as Jacob looked at Professor X, who nodded. They he took a deep breath.
"This world never belongs to you guys." Jacob said.
"What?" Scott asked.
"This world it never belong to nether Humans, Mutants, Inhumans, or anyone really it belong to them." Jacob replied
"Who?"Jean asked.
"The Titans." Jacob answered. "Ancient creatures that lived on the Earth when it was five times more radioactive than it is today."
Then Jacob started playing the projector, showing the some of the Titans.
"Those Titans are called Mortha, Rodan, Ghidorah, Kong, Shimo, Skar King, Scylla, Behemoth, Methuselah, and the Mutosthey among others are Titans and they are ruled over by the most powerful Titan of all Godzilla.
Then, the projector shows Godzilla.
"So, any questions?" Jacob asked.
