By the time Leonidas and Lucinda returned from Gerudo Town the coronation was only four days away. After that, the four days were spent by all the people of the castle working extra hard in preparation for the coronation. Leonidas and Lucinda were especially busy during that time because they had to start doing the work that Zelda had done.
"Who knew paperwork was hard," said Lucinda at one point the day before the coronation.
"I'll admit that Mother did make it look easy," said Leonidas, "Hyrule has loads of problems all the time apparently." "We are also going to need to have a new prime minister after that chaos."
"Let's make sure that the new one is more accepting of how we will rule." said Lucinda.
After a couple of hours of paperwork, Leonidas and Lucinda were able to finish, have dinner which refreshed them, and then go to bed while wondering what would happen the next day.
That morning, Leonidas and Lucinda got out of bed and started to get dressed in clothes that were made for the occasion. Once Leonidas was wearing a red outfit with a blue cape while Lucinda was wearing a blue dress, they went to the dining room for breakfast where they saw Zelda in a wheelchair.
"It's good to see you are both ready for the coronation," said Zelda while Leonidas and Lucinda took seats and breakfast was served.
"How are you feeling, Mother," asked Leonidas, wondering about Zelda's condition and thoughts.
"Other than my injuries I'm doing fine," answered Zelda, "I also feel proud for you for today." "Just remember that everyone in Hyrule is supporting you."
"Let's hope nothing goes wrong for us after this," said Lucinda.
Three hours later, people from all over Hyrule including Gorons, Zoras, and even Gerudo, who were invited during the Gerudo Town visit, were all together in the throne room waiting for the crowning of the new king and queen.
"Are you nervous," asked Lucinda to Leonidas while they waited outside the throne room for the coronation to begin."
"I am," answered Leonidas, "What about you?"
"Well a lot has happened within less than a year so things seem like they are changing too quickly for me," admitted Lucinda, "Let's just hope that we can make Hyrule a safe, happy, and peaceful place."
Leonidas and Lucinda then heard their cue and entered the throne room. They then walked to the throne itself and the coronation began.
"To all the people of Hyrule," said the same cleric from Leonidas and Lucinda's wedding, "It is time for the crowning of our new king and his queen."
The cleric was then given by a servant both the crown that would be worn by the king and the crown that Zelda used to wear as the queen and placed them each on the heads of Leonidas and Lucinda as they kneeled before her.
"Now is the time of the rule of King Leonidas," said the cleric.
Having both been crowned, Leonidas and Lucinda stood up and right after, Leonidas gave a speech.
"My beloved people," said Leonidas, "On this day, I will start my reign as king in place of my mother, Queen Mother Zelda, who as you know sacrificed much for our kingdom." "I know I'm not the same as my mother but I promise that I will do all I can with making sure all our lives are safe and peaceful just as she had done."
"And as queen," added Lucinda, "I will support my husband with all he will do as king." "We hope that everything will stay peaceful in the years to come."
The people in the throne room then clapped and cheered for the king and queen and minutes later a feast was held in the dining room which involved Leonidas and Lucinda talking to people.
"Congratulations you two," said Vanessa who was among the representatives of Ordon, "Just look at you Lucinda, now you're the queen of Hyrule."
"It doesn't feel real yet but thanks," replied Lucinda.
"How have things been in Ordon," asked Leonidas.
"Well not much has changed," answered Vanessa, "However I've seem to have a love interest now."
"That's great news," said Lucinda, "I wish you the best in advance."
After talking to Vanessa, the royal couple started to talk to more of their friends and important people in Hyrule. In the process, they managed to learn that Apago Village was back to the condition it was in before the bandit attack and also found out that the people were getting along well with the Gerudo.
That night hours after the feast, Leonidas and Lucinda were getting ready for bed.
"So I guess the real work for us starts tomorrow doesn't it," asked Lucinda.
"It will," said Leonidas, "Despite that, I'm sure that we can work together and will pull through somehow."
"And I wouldn't have it any other way," said Lucinda.
Leonidas and Lucinda then got in bed and kissed each other goodnight before they got to sleep knowing that Hyrule's fate is now in their hands.
