Chapter Nineteen
Willow walked into the Magic Box to find Anya tending to Xander's bloody nose.
"Xander! What happened?" Willow asked
"Spike hit him" Anya told her, wiping the last remnants of bloody from his face.
"Oh" said Willow "What happened?"
"I went to talk to Buffy, we got into it and then Spike hit me" said Xander
"What did you say?" asked Willow
"Nothing"
Willow raised her eyebrows "So he punched you for no reason?"
Xander grimaced "I might've said that he was like Angel and that he doesn't love Buffy he's just obsessed"
"Xander!" Willow admonished
"It's true!" He yelled
"Look, Xander… when you first started dating Anya I wasn't crazy about her either" she shot an apologetic look to the former demon "but I can see how much you love each other I mean you're married now! Just give him the benefit of the doubt"
"This is what I've been saying!" said Anya
"How do I make this better?" Xander asked
"Apologising might be an idea" Willow smiled
"I'll apologise to Buffy" he said
"And Spike" Anya urged him
"Do I have to?" He sighed

Buffy sat in Connor's room cradling him in a feeble attempt to get him to sleep. Spike slipped into the room quietly
"Hey, is he fighting it?" Spike asked
"Oh big time" said Buffy
"Give him here" said Spike
Buffy stood up and gave the baby to Spike "Listen, about earlier I didn't mean to-"
"It's fine Slayer" he said gently
"No it's not it's just…" Buffy tried to explain
"Shhh" said Spike to Connor ignoring Buffy
"Spike please…"
"Dada" Connor babbled
"Did he just?" asked Spike
Buffy smiled brightly "Yep…"
Spike smiled widely and snuggled the boy close to him "That's right kid, Dada's here"
Tears pricked Buffy's eyes as she watched her boys in such a special moment. "Gotta admit, I'm a little jealous" said Buffy
Spike looked at her puzzled
"I've been trying for weeks to get him to say mama" she smiled "… he loves you Spike"
"I love him too… and you, despite everything" he sighed
"Spike… I…"
"Shh he's dropping off… we'll talk okay?" He said rocking Connor

Spike definitely had the magic touch when it came to Connor within minutes the infant was sleeping soundly. Buffy had retreated to her bedroom, once Spike had tucked Connor in he knocked gently on the door.
"Come in" she told him
He entered and closed the door softly behind him.
"Spike… I… about earlier you're not beneath me" she told him firmly
"Buffy…" he sighed
"No Spike… you're not!" She leapt out of bed and pulled him closer to her "Listen to me, you know how I feel about you"
"Do I?" He asked
She pulled him in and kissed him passionately. Once the kiss ended "You should" she said softly
Spike sighed "You want me, I know that. I mean I can't blame you… together when we're… it's electric luv, the best even but outside of that… you told me yourself you're using me"
"No, I mean yes I was but it's changed we've changed. I…" she stumbled on her words
"You can't even say it can you?… I've gotta go away for a bit…" he told her
Buffy looked at him "You're leaving?"
"What? No" Spike replied
"I mean… i know my friends aren't crazy about the idea of us and we're gunna have some tough times ahead but… I thought you loved me?" She said sadly
"I do!" He tried to reassure her
"But you're leaving to give me a chance at being normal? Is that it?" She asked
"What the bloody hell are you on woman?" He asked
"It's fine Spike go" she spat bitterly
He grabbed her hands "Buffy…" he said softly, running his fingers through her hair "I've got some business I need to take care of, I'm doing this for us and the Nibblet's"
"Why now? I need you here, the Geeks are planning some major heists I need you" she told him
"You need me to take care of those poncey buggers? You can handle them" he smiled
"Where are you going?" She asked
"Africa" he told her
"Africa? You really wanna get as far away from me as possible? Wow why stop there I hear Australia is nice" she said bitterly sitting down on the edge of the bed
Spike sighed heavily and rolled his eyes "I promise my going away is for us… for you"
Buffy looked him "how long?"
"A week maybe two…" he said sitting beside her
Buffy thought for a moment and then sighed heavily "okay… when do you leave?"
"Tomorrow" he said softly
Tears pricked Buffy's eyes "Why does this feel like goodbye?"
"It's not, I promise you Buffy"
She leaned her head against his and looked into his eyes "Make sure you come back to me"
"I will" he whispered
She leaned forward and caught his lips with hers, she snaked her arm around his neck as the kiss intensified. She broke the kiss, pushing him backwards she climbed on top of him her legs straddling either side of his torso.
She bent back and kissed him again. He flipped her on to her back and kissed her neck, a moan escaped her throat "Spike" she said breathlessly
"Tell me what you want baby" he growled seductively
"You, always you" she panted
He grinned as she slid down her yoga pants and hooked his fingers either side of her panties and slipped them down slowly. "You are so beautiful" he whispered before he slid his hands slowly back up her legs and over her thighs before inserting two fingers inside her making her gasp.
He pumped in her, smiling as he watched her buck her hips beneath him. "Cum for me baby" he told her.
"No…" she said breathlessly "Not until you're inside me"
Without another word he pulled off his jeans in a flash and positioned himself at her entrance.
"Spike please" she said
He plunged into her making her yelp a little. He kissed her passionately "You feel so good kitten" he whispered
She cupped his cheek lovingly as he moved on top of her "Spike… I…"
"Shhh luv, let me take care of you" he whispered
She pulled him closer to her, hugging him tightly as he pounded into her. "Spike I'm gunna…"
She trembled as her release took over her body. Feeling her spasms brought Spike to a release of his own. He tried to move away but Buffy held on to him, he looked at her strangely.
"I love you" she told him
He smiled and cupped her face "I've waited a bloody long time to hear you say that"
"I'm sorry, I was waiting for the right moment" she smiled
"And the right moment is when I'm buried in you?" He asked
"Not what you were imagining?" She asked apprehensively
"No baby, it's perfect" he said kissing her.
"I wish you didn't have to go" she told him
"I won't be gone long, I promise"
"I love you" she repeated
"I love you too Buffy"
