Gnarl crawled into his exclusive minion gate that led back to the nether world.

The day had been boring without his master being home so he decided now would be the time he and the minion master leaders would band together and discuss the future of their kind.

Gnarl knew that Mort would be there, however he had trouble trusting Blaze and Sneaky. The leaders of the Red and Green tribes were often finicky in their meetings, sometimes showing up late or not at all.

But Gnarl had hope that Evo would arrive, being the only link between the classic minions who refused to join their evolved brotheren, he often kept the chaotic peace between the four tribes.

Walking through the ruined castle of the Overlord who had ruled this mighty fortress, Gnarl found the summoning horn.

With it he blew into it and it bellowed into the cave, letting the minion masters of the tribes know Gnarl wanted to hold a meeting.

Then a second horn blew, then a third, fourth and final horn blew into the caves. Marking that all four other minion masters would arrive shortly.

-- Overlord --

Three days had passed since the team had gone to the familiar forest, and inside the Occult Research Club a war was taking place.

A war of…

Titles.

"The Brown General: HENTAI!" Issei shouted, his armor springing up as he pointed to the sky with his sacred gear, his cape flowed in nonexistent wind.

Kurozai's own gauntlet connected with Issei's helmet and sent him flying into a wall. "REJECTED!" Kurozai shouted out, his eyes glowing black with a white hue.

Kurozai had called a meeting for his generals. They all met in the Occult Research Club room after Kurozai kicked the devil's out, with false promises to the women, and one truth that Kurozai and Kiba would go and hang out at the Arcade later.

The reason for this meeting was to create meanacing titles for the generals as well as some good names.

Issei sat down next to Asia on one of the couches and nursed his bruised cheek. Kalawarna sat on the couch on the opposite side of the room, furiously scribbling on a small white board.

When Asia went to heal the bruise Kurozai snapped at her. "DONT HEAL IT OR HE WONT LEARN!"

Asia squeeked in fear and grabbed the nearest pillow as a shield.

"Lord Kishi, I believe I have a title ready." Kalawarna said as she stood up with a whiteboard clutched to her chest.

Kurozai spun around on a heel and watched the red general cover herself in armor and spread her wings of fire out. She flipped the small white board around.

"The Firey Flame, Fallen Fire."

Kurozai looked at her for a moment and then made a sound similar to a buzzer. "Try again. Asia! Whatcha got?" Kurozai said as he turned back around to the blue general, lowering his face down to look at hers.

Asia sheepishly nodded. "I- I would like to be known as The Twilight Healer, Asia Argento…"

Kurozai sighed and placed his palm over his face. "By sins alive, this is gonna take forever. Fuck it, your homework for the night, Come up with a name that has to do with what you are and something related to a color." Kurozai stated. "For example, I have given myself the title of Overlord Kuro Kishi, which in english is Black Knight." Kurozai explained to his followers.

"I'm going to the arcade, don't bother me unless it's an emergency." Kurozai said as he jumped out of the window and rolled out onto the ground below.

The group alone, Issei snapped his fingers with an idea. "The Beige Hentai!"

Kalawarna and Asia both felt sweat drop as they let out a sigh of exhaustion.

-- DXD --

Minutes later, Kurozai entered the arcade and spotted Kiba playing Break Dancing Revolt.

Kurozai snickers and sneaks up behind Kiba. He extends one foot out over the down arrow and waits.

Kiba was currently on a flawless combo on one of the hardest songs. The Marksman remix of Kickback.

Then his combo breaks as the down arrow is randomly pressed. Then it's pressed again, and again, Kiba turned around to the sound of someone slamming their foot onto the down arrow and saw a familiar head of purple hair.

"Are ya winning?" Kurozai asked with a smug grin. Kiba sighed, adopting his own smug grin as he finished the last steps of the song.

"He was before you came along."

Kurozai turns around to see the rest of the Demonic half of the Occult Research Club. Akeno his blushing madly while holding multiple cups of coins, Rias carried a bag of tickets and Koneko was carrying a large stuffed bear that was more than three times her own size.

"Yeah well can't have anyone beat my top score on this song. But uh, what are you three doing here?" Kurozai asked.

Akeno giggled. "Well Rias deduced that you lied to us, but not Kiba. So we decided to join you two, and invite a few friends. By the way… that wasn't very nice of you." She said with a pout, but it evolved into a lustful stare as she put her hand up to giggle behind. "Whenever you take me out on a date I'll have to punish you."

Kurozai shivered as sweat began to build on his face. However that vanished as he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Oh shit- h-hey boss! Fancy meeting you here."

Kurozai's face darkened as his color retuend. "Issei, didn't I tell you not to follow me?"

"W-W-Well we weren't following you as much as we were joining president?" Issei said nervously, slowly starting to hide behind Kalawarna, Mittlet, Asia and, the now freed, Dohnaseek.

Kurozai let out a low growl, before covering his face with both hands. With an exasperated sigh, the Overlord relented. "Fine. Just don't bother me and Kiba." Kurozai said as he grabbed Kiba by the back of his shirt and dragged him off to their first stop at the Arcade, Spin-it to Ticket!

An arcade machine where you pulled down on a lever and win tickets on wherever the wheel stopped.

Kurozai stepped up first and took off his school jacket. Rolling up his sleeves Kurozai gripped the lever to pull down to spin the wheel. "LET'S TICKET!" Kurozai shouted and put all of his strength and weight into a heavy spin.

The force shook the machine slightly as the wheel spun. It began to slow down before landing… on the small slot where it dispensed four tickets right before the thousand ticket jackpot.

Kurozai snapped his fingers in frustration and nabbed his tickets.

Kiba was up next and put in a little less strength than Kurozai and watched as the wheel landed on the one hundred.

"Damn." Kurozai said as he scratched the back of his head. "Another bust."

Kiba nodded and placed a finger on his chin. "We usually win that one, what's changed?"

From behind the two, Koneko walked up. "Watch and learn." She said in her regular emotionless voice.

Koneko inserted four coins and gripped the lever, before jumping into the air and pulling down with all of her weight, almost breaking the lever. The machine spun wildly before landing on… The Jackpot, tickets began to flow out of the machine while Kurozai and Kiba's jaws met the floor.

Koneko grabbed her stack of tickets and handed them to Kiba. "I want candy." She said before walking off to go play some of the strength based games.

Kiba and Kurozai were frozen, stunned at what they had witnesses. For the past two months the duo had been unable to win the jackpot after the arcade owner tweaked a few of the games.

"Let's just go play something else." Kiba said, earning a sound of confirmation from Kurozai.

--OVERLORD--

Kurozai and Kiba now stood in front of the Arcades Skee Ball machine's. Specifically the ones out of the sight of the arcade owner. Even though the older man always knew what the duo would be doing.

Kiba dropped his stuff and walked over next to the holes and pulled up on the protective cover, and pulled it off of the machine, then the devil got on top of the machine and got ready.

Kurozai put in two coins and the game began, balls fell down and Kurozai rolled them up to Kiba for him to grab and throw into the jackpot holes.

The two worked as a well oiled machine to cheat ski ball. Soon enough, the game ended and the tickets were spat out.

Kiba got down and traded places with Kurozai, slapping hands on the way. The Overlord caught the rolling balls and chucked them into the jackpot as well.

Afew lanes away, Issei and Asia had been playing Skee-Ball and watched in awe and confusion respectively.

Soon enough Kurozai and Kiba had maxed out their ticket output from Ski-Ball, making up for the failure from Spin-It to Ticket.

With this, it was off to check every arcade cabinet for the high scores.

Throughout the years as the two friends had played in the arcade they had slowly dethroned every high score and replaced it with KnK.

Thankfully all the games held their title, still plastered on the top of the leaderboards, leading the duo to one final area.

'"FIGHT!"

In the cyber world, The Omega-Man fought against The Stars and Stripes Hero in a digital battlefield.

It was a bloody battle, with more broken bones than a group of teenagers going skiing, and more blood shed than even the weakest Brazilian Samurai could hope to spill.

Finally, Omega-Man grabbed his opponent by the head and flew off to a subway track. Almost immediately, a train hit the hero, who had been held against his will as the people inside the train were hit and turned into blood.

When the train finally stopped, the Stars and Stripes hero had been reduced to a skull and Omega-Man had won the fight.

Outside of the cyber world Kurozai walked in circles frustrated. "DAMN IT!" he shouted. Kiba knew this was normal and began to gloat.

"You gonna kneel before your new champion?"

"WE'RE EVEN!" Kurozai shouted, using Kiba's own words from their last trip.

Kurozai felt a tug on his jacket and looked down.

Koneko was there and was pointing at MF3. "I want to fight you Kurozai." She said in her regular monotone voice.

The two best friends looked at each other and shrugged.

And only moments later did the crowd of devil's and Overlord followers emerge around Kurozai and Koneko.

Currently it was a matchup of the ages. Koneko was playing as the Fire Martial Artist while Kurozai was winning with The Legendary Devil Hunter.

Every fireball, kick, flurry of punches were met with perfect parties from the Royal Guard.

Kiba watched as he thought about the fight. He knew that Kurozai's best character was The Legendary Devil Hunter, so it wasn't a really a fight. More of a count down to Kurozai winning.

Issei grabbed Kiba by the shoulder. "Dude how the hell is he so good with Dante? I've tried to play Dante for years and I haven't been able to even get close to a perfect guard like that!"

Kiba shrugged. "It's probably because I play The Alpha and The Omega when he picks The Legendary Devil Hunter."

Issei was confused. "Why are you calling them by their in-game titles?"

"Copyright dude."

"Oh. Damn."

Koneko was slowly losing her casual calm and composed facade she usually wore as Kurozai masterfully moved his fingers across the buttons, hitting her with combos she hadn't even heard of.

"Come on! Get up!" Koneko shouted to her character who was on the ground, a frown etched into her normally stoic face.

Kurozai looked down at the small girl and hit the taunt button. Dante started dancing with a weird cowboy hat on top of his head.

Koneko got up and Kurozai activated his final strike ability and walked away from the cabinet, his arms raised into the air signifying that he had been victorious.

Koneko watched in horror as her character was shot, stabbed and attacked with every element of magic before The Legendary Devil Hunter transformed into his Sin Devil form and struck down the Fire Martial Artist.

Koneko had lost, she fell to her knees as she struggled to remember when she last lost a fighting vid- Where did Kurozai go?

Koneko stood back up noticing the lack of the local Overlord.

Apparently, her sudden cancelation of theatrics caused Kiba to notice, that indeed, his best friend was missing.

The others dispersed into groups as Kiba and Koneko remained confused. However, a glance outside revealed what they needed to know.

Kurozai was being hit on by a couple of girls. Most likely college students Kiba could guess, judging by how much older they looked.

Kiba knew then that he had to go play damage control right now to save Kurozai. Koneko tagged along and the two exited the arcade and into the afternoon sun.

"Listen girls I think your very pretty yes but I-"

The girl standing on Kurozai's left giggled, she had long purple hair like Kurozai, but hers was more of a lavender color. "See Ferna, a real man knows what beauty is."

The other girl, a darker skinned muscular girl with short crimson hair glared at her friend. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and his eyes have been on me the whole time Mala!"

While the two argued having let the Overlord go, he wondered how he got himself into this mess. The only reason he was outside was because he thought he saw a minion on the loose. During that time he had been flanked by these two random girls.

Kurozai would have normally asked for them to leave him alone, but something was off about these two.

The friends argument ended and they both turned to him. The lavender haired one pressing her impressively large breasts against Kurozai's arm while her friend tried the same with her own, but much smaller, breasts.

That's when Kurozai's sense returned to him as he smelled something odd.

"Brimstone?"

Then all at once, Kurozai's senses shouted one thing. DUCK!!!

Time seemed to slow down as Inferna had thrown a punch at Kurozai's head as he ducked and freed himself from their grasp.

Kurozai felt his soul tug as his armor covered him, and brought forth his sword from a small flame, blocking a sword strike.

Kurozai looked up to see the muscular girl was now wearing a suit of armor with two large swords in her gauntlets. However Kurozai paled when he saw the helmet was similar to his own.

The smaller woman had summoned her own armor and a staff, ready to cast a spell, but had been stopped when Kiba dashed forward and blocked the strike.

Koneko then tackled the larger woman to the ground with her crazy strength.

Kurozai, shocked for a moment, then recalled a conversation he had with Rias regarding the strength after they had killed the Stray devil's.

"So… why is Koneko crazy strong? She doesn't seem like the type to work out, much less to the strength that she can throw a car."

"It's because of the evil piece I gave to her. It's a part of our peerage system."

"Your pieces give powers?"

"Indeed. To boil it down to it's simplicities, Rooks are strong, Knights are fast, Bishops are good with magic, Queens are an all around well balance, Pawns can become any piece like in chess and the king is the strongest of them all."

"Ooohh. Okay. That's weird but I get it."

Kurozai was pulled to his feet by the smaller girl. "Get up jokester, we're not out of the woods yet." She stated as she turned to see two men join the two women.

One wore blue armor and looked like a breeze could kill him if it hit wrong. While the other was shorter than Koneko, but looked just as strong while wearing his cog covered green armor.

"Great back up! Love it when more people join the party!" Kurozai shouted. "Mind if I call some friends? Wouldn't want this to seem boring yeah?" As he spoke, he snapped his fingers and alerted everyone inside of the danger.

The shorter man didn't even give Kurozai a response and instead charged into kill the Overlord.

Kurozai knew he only had this one opportunity. He would never get this again in his life.

He sprinted forward and reared his leg back and kicked with all of his might.

And as soon as he made contact he froze as his armor rang like a bell.

Kurozai was pulled away from an attack from the angered short man. "YOU THINK JUST BECAUSE AHM SHORT MEANS YOU CAN PUNT MEH?" The man shouted as he twirled his dual war axes.

Kurozai hadn't paid attention to the man as he tried to walk off the vibrations ringing through his armor. As he did so he walked past Kiba, who had been dodging magic spells from the purple spell caster.

As Kurozai walked, he tripped and fell into the arms of said woman in armor.

She giggled as her British accent returned to her. "You are quite cute though. Maybe I'll keep you as a little boy toy. Would you like that?" She asked seductively.

Kurozai had finally stopped ringing as the battle around the two paused, giving both an odd look. He had a confused look in his eyes as he thought for a moment. "Uhm, no thank you?"

A roar and a scream of anger broke the two away from their conversation.

Issei was pissed. "BOSS! HOW DARE YOU REJECT THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY!" Issei complained to Kurozai, who deadpanned at the general and silently prayed this would be the one to do the pervet in.

However, Kurozai felt his heart fill with a new type of fear as he saw who stood next to the pervert, who was now put off by the wave of anger that was washing over him from his companion.

Akeno was nearly ten times as angry as Issei. Her hair was being lifted due to the static electricity generating around her, and her eyes glowed a dangerous shade of red. "YOU BITCH!" She shouted, causing Kurozai to feel really small and really scared as he clung to the mysterious enemy for dear life. "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TAKING MY MAN?!?"

The armored woman clung onto Kurozai, feeling fear fill her heart too.

Kurozai felt the air charge around the two and looked up. "... not agai-"

KRACK-ACKOOM

Thunder struck the two, making their bones flash through their armor.

Kurozai was pulled away from the thunderbolt, his armor smoking from the sudden electricity.

At first, Kurozai had assumed it had been Kiba or Koneko to pull him away. However the local Overlord was surprised to see the newest addition to his team. Dohnaseek.

"Why the fuck are you here?" Kurozai asked genuinely confused as the battle resumed behind him.

"I wish to apologize for my actions upon my capture." Dohnaseek stated. "I had been under a grand deal of stress from the entire debacle and-"

Kurozai lifted his sword up past Dohnaseek and blocked a strike from the Crimson armored woman. "SWEAR LOYALTY LATER, FIGHT NOW!" Kurozai demanded as the blades grinded together, causing sparks to fly.

Dohnaseek nodded and pulled out his newest weapons, a new spear. This one was dark and seemed to even absorb light. He prepared to fight the woman, however was swarmed by something Kurozai couldn't see.

Kurozai was losing his fight with the second mystery woman.

She clicked her tongue. "This is the new hope for evil? Weak!" She shouted as she pulled away and struck Kurozai in the helmet with her pommel.

Stunned, the Overlord backed up to shake off the attack, but could barely breath before he was assaulted by a flurry of sword slashes.

The two locked blades again allowing Kurozai a moment to speak. "So, want to tell me why your ganging up on me? Like most men, I wouldn't mind a couple of girls hitting on me, but I don't think it's supposed to go like this normally."

The woman smiled behind her helmet. "Sins, your full of yourself, aren't you?"

"Nah, I only fill women, sorry." Kurozai taunted with a sly wink.

"Well then Overlord, I hope you've had your fun with your fillings, because you filled your last-"

The woman stopped and looked up. Thunder clouds had begun to form, arcing with blue electricity.

"Damn it, he followed us here! RETREAT! Wrangle the minions back to the hive!" She shouted to her cohorts.

The woman kicked Kurozai in the chest and sent him onto his ass.

As Kurozai landed, he saw something odd run by, a minion, however this one looked to be covered in steel gray armored plating almost like scales.

The woman glared down at Kurozai. "Consider yourself lucky He's here. Otherwise you'd find yourself destroyed by… THE FELLOWSHIP OF EVIL!" She shouted before the shadows pulled her, the minions and her allies into the ground.

And just like that, the fight was over.

Kiba ran over to his friend and helped the Overlord back onto his feet.

Kurozai was confused as he watched the sudden clouds clear.

"... I've heard that name before…" Kurozai said to himself as the others agreed to end today's festivities in exchange for trying to figure out what in the hell just happened.

-- DXD --

A good distance away, a man watched the group leave.

This man wore a dark cloak made from a bear pelt, and seemingly generated an aura of electricity.

"Hmm. The boy fights well, just as you said father. However I'm holding off for now." The man spoke to the one behind him. "I wish to see if he can defeat my mistakes. If so, then I shall consider him worthy enough to train."

Behind him, the figure he was speaking to vanished in thin air, leaving a strange spectral mist.

The man grinned beneath his hood, revealing his two glowing yellow eyes and blue skin covered in runes. "Overlord Kuro Kishi. I've heard worse names." Then, in a crack of lightning, he was gone.

-- Overlord --

"... So I'll be the first to say it, we were getting our asses kicked out there." Kurozai said, cutting through the thick tension in the room. The Overlord was battered and bleeding from a head wound given generously by the woman in red armor. However he didn't have a concussion, which left the teen in his thoughts.

Currently, Asia was healing some wounds that had been inflicted, including a punctured lung on Kalawarna. Apparently the one in blue armor had been deadlier than once thought with his supposed affinity to Ice magic.

Issei, who had gotten hit by stray lightning from Akeno's outburst, stood paralyzed as he waited for Asia to move to him.

Finally, Dohnaseek howled in pain as mittlet helped stitch bite wounds from the mystery minions from the battle.

The devil's on the other hand had no wounds, only shattered pride.

Kiba was sitting next to Kurozai, regaining his stamina. Akeno stood behind Rias at her desk, the red haired teen had been reading a book during the silence. Finally, Koneko was in the built-in shower. Apparently the dwarf had thrown her into the trash can, before kicking it away sending the girl on a garbage filled trip down the street.

Dohnaseek sent a glare at his master. "Thank you for pointing out the obvious my lieg- YEOWCH! MITTLET!"

The short girl giggled slightly and returned to patching up her alley.

"Well, what would you have me say? 'Great job team! We only got our asses handed to us, but we'll get 'em next time!' Get out of fantasy and get into reality. We got our shit rocked." Kurozai complained from his side of the room.

Dohnaseek growled but relented, not wanting to be strapped to the tree again.

"The Fellowship of Evil." Rias said, drawing all attention in the room to her.

Issei scoffed from inside his armor, and received a fireball to the chest for his troubles.

Kalawarna closed her steaming gauntlet and turned to Rias. "You were saying?" She asked, her voice holding an undertone of venom from her hatred of devil's.

"The Fellowship of Evil, they're the Netherghouls from the break in the fourth strongest Overlord's reign, when he was captured by heroes." Rias explained, reminding Kurozai of where he had heard the name from.

"Right! They were Gnarls champions! He resurrected four dark souls and pitted them against each other in a challenge for the title of Overlord." Kurozai continued for Rias. "But what the four didn't know was that they were rescuing Overlord Fury from his imprisonment."

Rias nodded as she remembered her favorite childhood story.

Issei coughed a storm as Asia finally got to him. "So what? Bunch of bone bags come back from the dead to save a guy. What's that gotta do with the four who attacked us today?"

Rias turned the book she was reading around and revealed a drawing on one of the pages.

Everyone but Kurozai and Akeno paled as they recognized the armor from their attackers. "Because unless we have cosplayers, they're now targeting Kurozai."

Issei's armor finally vanished as he looked at the picture for a moment. "They got the boob sizes wrong."

Immediately Kurozai pounced on his general and prepared to beat Issei. "W-wait boss! Hold on!"

Issei's pleas fell on deaf ears as Kurozai whaled on the pervert, causing a dust cloud to form from their rumble.

Kiba laughed dryly. "Don't go too easy on him."

Issei growled, "GET IN HERE PRETTY BOY!" Then grabbed Kiba by the collar and dragged him into the brawl with the knight letting out a yelp and soon enough the dust cloud grew.

"BOYS!" Rias shouted, causing the trio to stop suddenly. Kurozai's fist was a few centimeters from Issei's face, while Issei was ready to chomp down on Kiba's leg and Kiba had his foot planted on Kurozai's side. "Enough! Can we please solve our current dilemma before we fight amongst ourselves?"

Silence lingered… the shower turned off and Akeno grabbed a towel from behind Rias' desk and walked into the shower to give it to Koneko.

Kurozai punched Issei in the face and let go of the general. Dusting himself off, Kurozai grabbed the book and flipped through it.

Rias folded her arms and sent a wry glare at Kurozai. The small scuffle with Issei caused a cut on his cheek. With a sigh she stood up and focused her magic onto a healing spell she learned as a way to help the local Overlord.

With the spell charged she placed her hand on his cheek absentmindedly. Once she was done she looked into Kurozai's eyes, which were wide, his face was flush and his hair began to take on a pink tint.

With a cough, Kurozai looked back down into the book and turned around. Finally he flipped to the page he had been looking for. Clearing his throat, Kurozai read aloud. "Upon the return of Overlord Fury, the fellowship left the netherworld, only returning during the transition to then lose the Netherworld Tower to early devil's of hell."

"Does it say how they beat them?" Kalawarna asked as she got up to look at the book with Kurozai.

"Uh no, most of this shits marked out." Kurozai began to flip through more pages, finding most of them with redacted lines. "Anything left mostly talks about a… Thunder Crack?"

That name sparked a memory in Rias' mind. "Are you sure it said Thunder Crack?"

Kurozai made a grunt of confirmation and turned around, snapping the book shut in his hands.

Rias thought in silence for a moment. "I will need to speak with my brother on this. I think you should all go home."

Kurozai rolled his eyes slightly and flung the book into Rias' desk. "Alright, I'm taking Kiba with me." Kurozai said as he grabbed the knight by his collar and walked out, flanked by the ex-fallen.

Issei, who had been healed of his bruises by Asia, left soon after with the nun in tow.

Koneko left after getting dressed as she was tired and wanted to get snacks.

This left Rias and Akeno alone.

"That name… Thunder Crack, wasn't it the name given to him during the transition?" Akeno asked as Rias began to cast a communication spell.

"Yes… and if the fellowship ran away from the weather, then that only stands to prove one thing."

"And what's that?"

"That Overlordian culture is being stirred up enough to bring Fury out of retirement…"

[NEXT TIME]

Kurozai and Akeno fight against two of the fellowship, which forces Kurozai to give his true feelings to his stalker.

Issei, Kiba and Kalawarna have to stop the other half of the fellowship from killing Asia.

And Rias meets with a man cloaked in bear furs, in…

[FELLOWSHIP ]
