Chapter 88: A Knightly Battle!
Hello everyone, this chapter will have the group reach an uninhabited island that's filled with rocks where Ash trains his Pokémon and meets Rinto again. I hope you all enjoy it! Also, I'm sorry for the very late release of this chapter. I've been pretty busy with work and was lacking in motivation, but I feel as though I'm finally feeling motivated again. Now without further ado let's begin the story.
The chapter begins 1 day after the last chapter ended and we see the group happily riding on Lapras's back. As Lapras continues to swim she sees something up ahead and alerts the group as Ash speaks.
"What is it Lapras?" Ash asks as Lapras looks forward making everyone else look too as they see an island. Misty then speaks.
"It's an island" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Maybe we should stop there" Leaf suggests as Tracey speaks.
"I agree" Tracey says as Ash speaks.
"Okay Lapras let's head to that island!" Ash says with Lapras nodding as she swims forward. A couple minutes later they've made it to the island and get off Lapras's back. Ash then looks at the mon and speaks.
"Thanks, Lapras and take a good rest" Ash says with Lapras nodding as she goes back in her Pokeball. Once that's done Misty looks around the island and speaks.
"I see nothing but rocks here" Misty says as Tracey looks through his guidebook and speaks.
"In my guidebook it says that this island is uninhabited and is filled with many strong rock type Pokémon." Tracey says as Leaf speaks.
"Many rock type Pokémon? Cool! I'm going to find some and catch them. I also hope that they're shiny" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"And maybe this could be a good place to train my Pokémon" Ash says with the others nodding as they then begin walking. As they're walking, they haven't come across any Pokémon yet and continue to walk until they find a spot for Ash to train his Pokémon as he speaks.
"This seems like a good spot." Ash says as he then pulls out 5 Pokeball's and speaks.
"Come Out!" Ash says as he throws the 5 balls up in the air they then open and send out his Pokémon. The Pokémon that appear are Galarian Farfetch'd, Hawlucha, Grovyle, Ceruledge, and Frogadier. Pikachu then jumps off from Ash's shoulder and stands next to the 5 mons who look at him as Ash speaks.
"Okay guys we're going to be doing some training but before we start, I'm going to break you into teams of 3 and battle each other." Ash says with the 6-mons nodding as he continues.
"Pikachu, Hawlucha, and Frogadier who'll be a team and Farfetch'd, Ceruledge, and Grovyle you'll be the other team." Ash says with the 6-mons nodding as they then go to their respective teams and stand next to each other while looking at the opposing team. Meanwhile, off to the side the others look at them as Misty speaks.
"I wonder why Ash's having his Pokémon battle each other in teams of 3?" Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"He probably wants to get more experience in triple battles." Tracey says with Misty nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Rock type Pokémon where are you?" Leaf says while wearing her binoculars and searching for rock types as Misty and Tracey look at her. We now come back over to Ash and his Pokémon. Both teams continue to stare at each other waiting for Ash's commands as Ash speaks.
"Okay let's start! Pikachu use Thunderbolt on Farfetch'd and Farfetch'd use Brutal Swing to deflect it!" Ash calls Pikachu sparks his cheeks and fires an electric bolt that heads for Farfetch'd. The duck quickly covers his leek in dark energy spins around and easily deflects the attack as it now heads for Frogadier Ash speaks.
"Frogadier jump in the air to dodge and use Water Pulse on Ceruledge! Grovyle block with Leaf Blade and go after Frogadier!" Ash calls Frogadier, jumps in the air and avoids the Thunderbolt. Frogadier then puts his hands together, creates a ball of water and throws it at Ceruledge. Just when the attack goes to hit the mon Grovyle appears the leaves on his right arm becomes a grassy blade and easily cuts the move in half easily destroying it. Grovyle then jumps after Frogadier with the leaves on his right arm becoming a grassy blade as well. Grovyle goes to hit Frogadier as Ash speaks.
"Frogadier use Double Team to dodge!" Ash calls Frogadier, quickly creates multiple clones of himself and easily dodges the attack. Grovyle looks around and sees that he's now surrounded as Ash speaks.
"Now use Bubble Beam and Grovyle counter with Bullet Seed!" Ash calls Frogadier along with his clones' fire multiple bubbles that head for Grovyle. Grovyle begins to spin firing out multiple grassy seeds from his mouth that easily destroy the bubbles along with the clones. Once the clones are gone Grovyle stops spinning as he then sees Frogadier heading towards him Ash speaks.
"Frogadier use Aerial Ace and Grovyle counter with your Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Frogadier's left fist glows blue while Grovyle shoots towards him. The 2 mons collide creating an explosion as they then appear out of the explosion and land back on the ground staring at each other. Ash then looks at Pikachu and calls for a command.
"Pikachu use Iron Tail on Farfetch'd and Ceruledge counter with Night Slash!" Ash calls Pikachu jumps forward, he covers his tail in steel energy and goes to hit Farfetch'd. But Ceruledge appears, she quickly covers her left blade in dark energy and blocks Pikachu's attack. Pikachu tries to push Ceruledge's blade away but is unable to as Ceruledge swings out her blade making Pikachu land back the ground a few feet away. Suddenly Hawlucha runs past Ceruledge and is heading for Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use Aerial Ace and Farfetch'd counter with Night Slash!" Ash calls Hawlucha speeds up more and shoots forward heading for Farfetch'd. Farfetch'd quickly covers his leek in dark energy and collides with Hawlucha. The 2 mons are now pushing each other back and forth. As they continue Farfetch'd notices Hawlucha's left leg glowing red as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use High Jump Kick and Farfetch'd use Detect to dodge then use Brick Break!" Ash calls Hawlucha goes to kick Farfetch'd but the duck's left eye glows and dodges the attack by backing away. Farfetch'd lands a few feet away his leek then glows white and jumps forward going to hit Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha block!" Ash calls Hawlucha quickly brings up his arms and blocks Farfetch'd's attack. Farfetch'd sends Hawlucha sliding a few feet away until the mon stops itself. Once Farfetch'd lands he looks over at Hawlucha who has a smile on his face with Farfetch'd having the same smile. Ash smiles too then looks over at Frogadier and Grovyle then speaks.
"Frogadier, Grovyle use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls the 2 mons instantly shoot forward and collide creating an explosion. They then appear out of the explosion sliding a few feet away from each other, Grovyle manages to stop himself and begins running towards Frogadier as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle use Leaf Blade and Frogadier block with Cut!" Ash calls the 3 leaves on Grovyle's arms become grassy blades and goes to hit Frogadier with his right blade. Frogadier quickly summons a white blade with his left hand and manages to block Grovyle's attack. After that Grovyle goes to hit Frogadier with his left blade as Ash speaks.
"Frogadier quick use Double Team to dodge then jump in the air!" Ash calls Frogadier quickly creates a clone that takes his place as Grovyle hits it instead. Frogadier along with his clones jump in the air as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle jump after them and continue use Leaf Blade!" Ash calls Grovyle jumps in the air and begins to easily get rid of Frogadier's clones. Once the clones are gone Grovyle sees the real Frogadier and goes to hit it. As Grovyle goes to hit Frogadier the frog manages to dodge at last second. Frogadier then sees Ceruledge appear next to him and has her blades ready as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge use Bitter Blade and Pikachu use Extreme Speed and Iron Tail to intercept Ceruledge!" Ash calls Ceruledge, covers her blades in purple fire and goes to hit Frogadier. Pikachu quickly shoots up in the air, covers his tail in steel energy and manages to deflect Ceruledge's blades. Ceruledge is surprised then sees Pikachu sparking his cheeks as Ash speaks.
"Now Pikachu use Thunder and Ceruledge block!" Ash calls Pikachu fires a big electric bolt that goes to hit Ceruledge, but the mon quickly brings up her blades and blocks the attack as she's sent back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears Ceruledge is still standing as Grovyle lands next to her. A couple seconds later Pikachu along with Frogadier land back on the ground too and look at their opponents with their opponents looking at them. Ash then looks over at Farfetch'd and Hawlucha then speaks.
"Use Brick Break!" Ash calls Farfetch'd's leek glows white while Hawlucha's right fist glows white. The 2 mons shoot forward and collide. They go back and forth for a little while until they back away from each other as Ash speaks.
"Now Hawlucha use Flying Press and Farfetch'd dodge then use Brick Break!" Ash calls Hawlucha glows red and jumps forward going to hit Farfetch'd, but the duck quickly backs away in time as Hawlucha hits the ground instead. Once Farfetch'd lands his leek glows white and jumps forward going to hit Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha dodge then use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Hawlucha quickly jumps back as Farfetch'd slams his leek on the ground creating a small crack. Hawlucha lands a few feet away then shoots forward going to hit Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd counter with Night Slash!" Ash calls Farfetch'd's leek glows in dark energy and collides with Hawlucha creating an explosion. After that the 2 mons slide away from each other and are now standing next to their respective teammates as Ash speaks.
"Okay let's kick it up a notch! Frogadier use Cut! Hawlucha use Sky Attack! And Pikachu use Wild Charge! Grovyle use Leaf Blade! Farfetch'd use Superpower! And Ceruledge use Bitter Blade!" Ash calls Frogadier summons a long white blade with his right hand, Hawlucha's body glows in a golden aura and Pikachu covers his body in electricity. The leaves on Grovyle's left arm turns into a grassy blade, Farfetch'd's body bulks up as his leek becomes a bright crimson and Ceruledge's blades are covered in a purple fire. The 6-mons stare at each other as Ash speaks.
"Go!" Ash says as the 2 teams head for their specific opponent. Frogadier collides with Grovyle, Pikachu collides with Ceruledge, and Hawlucha collides with Farfetch'd. The 6-mons go back and forth with each other trying to push their opponent away, but neither are giving in. They continue to do that until there's a big explosion that causes the area to shake, creates a strong wind and destroys a few of the rocks. On another part of the island, we see Rinto along with his Gallade they heard the explosion too as Rinto speaks.
"Let's go Gallade" Rinto says with Gallade nodding as they begin running towards the explosion. Meanwhile back to the group the wind has gone away, and we see the 6-mons slide out of the explosion. Once the smoke fully clears the 2 teams are looking at each other as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Looking good out there guys let's keep going!" Ash says with the 6-mons nodding as they charge forward continuing to battle each other. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"That was a lot of power" Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"I have to say Ash's Pokémon are looking great" Tracey says with Misty and Leaf nodding as they continue to watch Ash train his Pokémon. Back on the battlefield after Frogadier dodges a Leaf Blade from Grovyle we see Pikachu fire a Thunderbolt that heads for Grovyle, but Ceruledge appears and blocks the attack with Night Slash. Ceruledge then fires a Night Shade towards Pikachu, but the yellow mouse quickly jumps in the air and dodges the attack. Next, we see Farfetch'd jumping towards Hawlucha, Farfetch'd goes to hit Hawlucha with his leek but the lucha bird quickly jumps in the air and avoids the attack. This causes Farfetch'd to destroy a rock instead and when he does suddenly a yellow Pokémon that looks like a Moai with a nose like a compass and a Pokémon with a long slender yellow body and a blue shell appear. The 2-mons look around having confused looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Who're those Pokémon?" Ash says as he along with Leaf pull out their Pokedex's to scan the 2 mons.
"Nosepass the Compass Pokémon, a pure Rock type and the pre evolved form of Probopass. Nosepass's magnetic nose is always pointed to the north. If two of these Pokémon meet, they cannot turn their faces to each other when they are close because their magnetic noses repel one another." "Shuckle the Mold Pokémon and a Rock/Bug type. Shuckle quietly hides itself under rocks, keeping its body concealed inside its hard shell while eating berries it has stored away. The berries mix with its body fluids to become a juice." The Pokedex's say as Tracey speaks.
"Looks like when Farfetch'd destroyed that rock it awakened those 2" Tracey says with Misty nodding as Ash speaks.
"I'm sorry that I woke you up" Ash says apologetically with the 2-mons saying that it's okay. When they're about to leave Leaf speaks.
"Wait!" Leaf yells causing everyone to look at her as she appears in front of the 2-mons and speaks.
"You guys aren't going anywhere as I'm going to catch you!" Leaf says while having a smile on her face as Misty speaks.
"You're going to catch them Leaf?" Misty asks as Leaf speaks.
"Of course, I am because they're shiny" Leaf responds as Ash looks at his Pokedex again and sees that the colors for the 2 mons are completely different from how they look in the Pokedex as he speaks.
"She's right" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"Yep, and after not finding any shiny Pokémon for a while I'm not going to miss this chance so prepare yourselves Nosepass and Shuckle!" Leaf says while pointing a Pokeball forward. The 2 mons look at Leaf they can see that she's serious about catching them, the 2 mons get serious looks on their faces as they get into a battle stance making Leaf smile as she speaks.
"I knew you weren't going to run away. Now! Venusaur Come Out!" Leaf says as she throws the ball forward sending out her Venusaur. Once the plant dinosaur appears it lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave then gets in a battle stance. Nosepass along with Shuckle look at Venusaur they can feel how strong it is but aren't backing down as Shuckle speaks.
"Shuck!" Shuckle yells as it fires a big poison ball of Sludge (using Sludge Bomb) towards Leaf's Venusaur as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur knock it away with Vine Whip!" Leaf calls Venusaur quickly summons a vine and easily knocks the ball of sludge away. When that happens Nosepass fires 5 electric rings that go to hit Venusaur as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur quick use Dig to dodge!" Leaf calls Venusaur quickly digs underground and avoids the attack. A couple seconds later Venusaur appears from underneath the 2 mons and sends them high in the air causing damage to them as Leaf speaks.
"Okay Venusaur use Leaf Storm!" Leaf calls Venusaur roars and fires a big storm of leaves that hits the 2 mons. Up in the air Nosepass along with Shuckle cry out in pain as they then fall back down on the battlefield. As they're lying on the ground they continue to groan in pain as Leaf then pulls out 2 Pokeballs and speaks.
"Okay you 2 are mine! Go! Pokeball's!" Leaf says as she throws the 2 balls forward that sore through the air and hit the 2-mons sucking them inside. Once the balls fall on the ground they begin to shake, as they're shaking everyone looks on to see if they're going to break out or not. A couple seconds later the balls stop shaking then ding confirming the 2 captures. Venusaur uses its vines to grab the 2 balls and hands them to Leaf who then gets a smile on her face and speaks.
"I just caught a shiny Nosepass and a shiny Shuckle!" Leaf says happily while holding the 2 balls in the air as everyone else claps for her. A couple seconds later the 2 balls disappear from Leaf's hands as they go to Prof. Oak's lab. Leaf has a satisfied look on her face as Ash then looks at his Pokémon and speaks.
"Now that, that's out of the way let's continue training!" Ash says with the 6-mons nodding as they're about to continue everyone hears a voice.
"Oh, so it was you" The voice says causing everyone to look forward as they see Rinto and his Gallade. The group have surprised looks on their faces as they speak.
"It's Rinto and Gallade!" The 4 trainers say in shock while Ash's Farfetch'd looks at Gallade with Gallade looking at him. After that Ash runs over to Rinto when he gets close enough, he looks at him and speaks.
"Hey Rinto, I wasn't expecting to see you here were you training?" Ash asks as Rinto speaks.
"Yes, I was but once Gallade and I heard an explosion we came here to see what caused it" Rinto says as Ash speaks.
"Oh, that was us sorry if we interrupted your training" Ash says apologetically as Rinto speaks.
"It's fine" Rinto says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"By the way Rinto how many badges do you have?" Ash asks as Rinto speaks.
"I currently have 3 badges so far and I'm currently training to get my 4th one." Rinto responds as Ash speaks.
"Wow! Amazing that means that you're ahead of me as I only have two, but it won't be like that for long as I'll catch up soon." Ash says with Rinto nodding. Suddenly Ash's Farfetch'd appears next to Ash and continues to stare at Gallade with Gallade staring back. The 2 trainers notice this as Ash then looks at Rinto and speaks.
"Hey Rinto if it's alright with you can we have a battle? It seems like my Farfetch'd wants to battle your Gallade again" Ash asks as Rinto thinks for a little bit and speaks.
"Sure, I don't mind as it'll be good training for our upcoming gym challenge" Rinto says with his Gallade agreeing making Ash along with Farfetch'd excited as Ash looks at Farfetch'd and speaks.
"Isn't this great Farfetch'd?!" Ash says with the duck nodding. Rinto then looks over at Ash's other Pokémon and can sense that they're strong. Rinto looks back at Ash and speaks.
"Hey if it's alright with you how about we make our battle a 4v4" Rinto asks as Ash speaks.
"Sure, I don't mind" Ash responds with Rinto nodding as they then take their battle positions. Off to the side the others look at them as Misty speaks.
"Looks like they're going to battle" Misty says with Leaf nodding as Tracey speaks.
"I'll go be the referee" Tracey says as he takes the referee spot looks over at Rinto and speaks.
"Are you okay with me being the referee?" Tracey asks with Rinto saying that it's fine as Tracey continues to speak.
"This is a 4v4 battle between Ash and Rinto. Both trainers are only allowed to use 4 Pokémon each with substitutions!" Tracey says with the 2 boys nodding as Tracey continues to speak.
"Now if both trainers are ready, please send out your first Pokémon!" Tracey says Ash looks at Hawlucha who nods while Rinto pulls out a Pokeball. The 2 boys look forward and speak.
"Hawlucha, I choose you!" Go! Beautifly!" The 2 trainers say. Hawlucha immediately jumps on the battlefield and gets in a battle stance while Rinto throws a Pokeball forward sending out a butterfly like Pokémon. The mon has a happy look on its face as Ash speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash questions as he along with Leaf pull out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Beautifly the Butterfly Pokémon and a Bug/Flying type. Despite its appearance, it has an aggressive nature. It attacks by jabbing with its long, thin mouth." The Pokedex says as Beautifly then gets a serious look on its face as Ash speaks.
"It looks tough okay Hawlucha let's do this!" Ash says with the Lucha bird nodding as Rinto speaks.
"Get ready Beautifly" Rinto says with the butterfly nodding as it gets into a battle stance Tracey speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokémon let the battle begin!" Tracey says as Ash speaks.
"Let's attack first Hawlucha! Use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Hawlucha instantly shoots forward going to hit Beautifly as Rinto speaks.
"Use Protect then Psychic!" Rinto calls when Hawlucha goes to hit Beautifly the butterfly quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks the attack making Hawlucha bounce back. Beautifly then fires out waves of psychic energy that grab Hawlucha as Rinto speaks.
"Now slam it on the ground!" Rinto calls before Ash can make a command Beautifly slams Hawlucha hard on the ground creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha!" Ash calls in worry. Back on the battlefield the dust clears, and everyone can see Hawlucha on his stomach groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha are you okay?!" Ash asks with the lucha bird nodding as he stands back up and looks at Beautifly with the mon looking at it. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"By blocking Hawlucha's Aerial Ace with Protect it allowed for Beautifly to land a powerful Psychic attack on Hawlucha" Misty says with Leaf nodding. Back on the battlefield Hawlucha groans a little in pain as Ash speaks.
"Man, that Psychic did a lot to Hawlucha, and the battle just started" Ash says to himself as Rinto speaks.
"Let's continue. Beautifly use Air Slash!" Rinto calls Beautifly's wings glow and begins firing multiple slashes of wind towards Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha dodge and when you get close use Acrobatics!" Ash calls Hawlucha nods as he runs forward and begins to easily dodge the slashes of wind. Once Hawlucha dodges all of the Air Slashes he glows blue then heads for Beautifly going to hit it as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly use Protect again to block!" Rinto calls Beautifly sees Hawlucha coming and quickly summons a protective barrier. Hawlucha's getting closer to the barrier and is about to come into contact with it as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha move to the right and get behind Beautifly!" Ash calls surprising Rinto as Hawlucha manages to narrowly move to the right and avoids contact with the barrier. Hawlucha looks at Beautifly as Ash speaks.
"Now use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls before Rinto can call for a command Hawlucha shoots forward and hits Beautifly's back causing super effective damage and making the mon crash on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Great job Hawlucha!" Ash says with his other Pokémon cheering. Off to the side Leaf speaks.
"I see so by having Hawlucha get behind Beautifly it allowed for Hawlucha to avoid the barrier and hit Beautifly with Aerial Ace" Leaf says with Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Rinto loses his shocked expression as he smiles and speaks.
"Not bad" Rinto says to himself as he then gets a serious look on his face and calls for his next command.
"Beautifly use Air Slash!" Rinto calls Beautifly, looks at Hawlucha and begins firing multiple slashes of wind towards the mon as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha dodge then use Acrobatics!" Ash calls Hawlucha easily dodges the slashes of wind then glows blue and heads for Beautifly as Rinto speaks.
"Use Protect!" Rinto calls Beautifly quickly summons a protective barrier as Ash speaks.
"That's not going to work! Hawlucha avoid the Protect get behind Beautifly and use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls. Hawlucha moves to the left and avoids contact with the Protect. Hawlucha gets behind Beautifly and shoots forward going to hit the mon. Just when Hawlucha's going to hit Beautifly Rinto smiles and speaks.
"Now use Hurricane!" Rinto calls surprising Ash and before Ash can tell Hawlucha to dodge Beautifly roars as it summons a large Hurricane that consumes Hawlucha. Hawlucha spins around in the vortex and cries out in pain from the damage it's receiving. A few seconds later the Hurricane disappears as Hawlucha falls on the ground landing on his back as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha!" Ash calls in worry as he can see that Hawlucha can still battle but the mon is groaning in pain and looks at Beautifly who looks back as Rinto speaks.
"I have to say it was a bad move on your part for thinking that I would let you use that same tactic again. It probably would've worked on a trainer who's not very experienced but not on me." Rinto says with Ash nodding as Rinto continues to speak.
"Now I think it's time to end this battle. Beautifly use Psychic on Hawlucha!" Rinto calls as the mon fires the psychic waves at Hawlucha. Misty along with Leaf have concerned looks on their faces while Ash smirks and speaks.
"I'll admit using that same tactic again was a bad idea, but you just made a big mistake." Ash says making Rinto confused as Ash speaks.
"Now Hawlucha use X Scissor to cut through the Psychic!" Ash calls Hawlucha quickly crosses his arms, jumps forward and is now going through the Psychic. Rinto has a surprised look on his face as Misty speaks.
"I get it by using X Scissor it'll allow Hawlucha to cut through the Psychic" Misty says while Leaf cheers. Back on the battlefield Hawlucha's getting closer to Beautifly as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly quick use Protect!" "Hawlucha use Acrobatics!" Both trainers call when Beautifly's about to summon the protective barrier Hawlucha glows blue speeds up, reaches Beautifly and begins hitting the mon back and forth causing super effective damage. Hawlucha continues to hit Beautifly until he hits it one more time making the mon crash on the ground groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Now use Flying Press!" "Beautifly use Hurricane!" Both trainers call when Hawlucha goes to use Flying Press Beautifly roars as it summons a large hurricane that sucks in Hawlucha. Inside the hurricane Hawlucha's groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha ride the Hurricane use Swords Dance and charge up a Sky Attack!" Ash calls Hawlucha spreads out his wings and begins to ride the hurricane. Hawlucha sharply increases his attack power with Swords Dance and begins charging up the Sky Attack. Once Hawlucha finishes charging the move he appears out the top of the Hurricane and is glowing in a golden aura. Hawlucha then begins flying towards Beautifly at a fast speed as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly stop it with Psychic!" Rinto calls Beautifly fires the waves of psychic energy in hopes to stop Hawlucha but the lucha bird easily breaks through the move which surprises Rinto as Leaf speaks.
"Wow Hawlucha's going so fast that he was able to break through the Psychic." Leaf says with Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Hawlucha's going fast and is about to hit Beautifly as Rinto speaks.
"Quick use Protect!" Rinto calls Beautifly quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Hawlucha's attack. As the protective barrier continues to block the Sky Attack the barrier starts to crack as Ash speaks.
"Break it Hawlucha!" Ash calls as Hawlucha lets out a "Lucha!" increasing the power of his Sky Attack and destroys the protective barrier. Rinto along with Beautifly have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Now Flying Press!" "Dodge Beautifly!" Both trainers' call. Beautifly can't dodge in time as Hawlucha glows red showcases his chest and hits Beautifly causing them both to crash on the battlefield, creating a dust cloud and explosion as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly!" Rinto calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Hawlucha standing panting heavily while looking at an unconscious Beautifly as Tracey makes the call.
"Beautifly is unable to battle Hawlucha's the winner!" Tracey says making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Alright!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokémon cheering too while Hawlucha does a pose in victory. Off to the side Misty along with her Togepi and Leaf cheer, back on the battlefield Rinto's sad that Beautifly loss and returns the mon back to its Pokeball. Rinto tells Beautifly thank you and puts the ball back on his belt. Rinto then pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Manectric come out!" Rinto says as he throws the ball forward and sends out the mon. Once it appears it has a serious look on its face and gets in a battle stance as Ash speaks.
"So, a Manectric's next" Ash says as he looks at the mon and sees Manectric sparking its body as it glares at Hawlucha with the lucha mon glaring back. Hawlucha then begins to groan in pain and pant as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha looks tired it would be best to return him for now" Ash says to himself he then looks at Hawlucha and speaks.
"Hawlucha return for now" Ash says with Hawlucha nodding as he goes back over to Ash and the rest of his Pokémon as Ash speaks.
"Take a break for now and I'll call you back in later" Ash says with Hawlucha nodding as he stands next to Ash's other Pokémon who congratulate him on his win with Hawlucha saying thank you. Ash looks forward, he thinks about who he'll bring in next for a few seconds then once he's made his decision he speaks.
"Okay Grovyle you're next!" Ash says with the grass gecko nodding as he jumps on the battlefield and looks at Manectric with the mon looking at it as Rinto speaks.
"A Grovyle's your next choice" Rinto says as Ash speaks.
"That's right and he's going to win!" Ash responds with Grovyle nodding as he gets in a battle stance with Manectric doing the same. Tracey calls for the battle to continue as Rinto speaks.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Rinto calls Manectric sparks its body and fires an electric bolt that heads for Grovyle as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle use Rock Smash!" Ash calls Grovyle's right fist glows red and punches the bolt creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Manectric, it's in front of Grovyle and has its teeth covered in fire as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Fire Fang!" "Grovyle dodge then use Bullet Seed!" Both trainers' call. Manectric goes to bite Grovyle, but the grass gecko quickly jumps back dodging the attack. Once Grovyle lands a few feet away he fires multiple grassy seeds from his mouth that go to hit Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric use Flamethrower!" Rinto calls Manectric covers its mouth in fire and fires the stream of fire that easily burns through the grassy seeds and heads for Grovyle as Ash speaks.
"Jump Grovyle!" Ash calls Grovyle quickly jumps in the air and dodges the attack. As Grovyle's in the air he looks down below and sees Manectric sparking its body as Rinto speaks.
"Now Thunder!" Rinto calls Manectric roars and summons a large electric bolt from the sky that heads for Grovyle as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle block!" Ash calls Grovyle quickly brings up his arms as the Thunder connects. The electric bolt pushes Grovyle back on the ground and creates an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Grovyle who's still standing and once he brings his arms down Manectric appears in front of him with its teeth covered in fire as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Fire Fang!" "Grovyle counter with Rock Smash!" Both trainers' call. Manectric goes to bite Grovyle as the grass gecko quickly covers his right fist in red energy and collides with Manectric's teeth creating an explosion. The 2 mons appear out of the explosion sliding away from each other, Grovyle manages to stop himself as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle use Leaf Blade!" Ash calls the leaves on Grovyle's arms turn into grassy blades as he jumps forward and goes to hit Manectric with his right blade as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric dodge then use Thunder Wave!" Rinto calls Manectric quickly moves to the right and launches 5 electric rings that connect with Grovyle and successfully paralyze him. Grovyle can feel electricity flowing throughout his body as he then looks at Manectric and sees it sparking its body as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Thunder!" "Grovyle dodge!" Both trainers' call. Grovyle can't dodge in time because of the paralysis as Manectric roars and fires a big Thunder that hits Grovyle doing a lot of damage to the mon as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle get out of there with Quick Attack!" "Too late Manectric use Overheat!" Both trainers' call. Before Grovyle can use Quick Attack Manectric's body heats up and fires a big wave of fire from its mouth that hits Grovyle. Grovyle cries out in pain as he's then sent crashing into a nearby boulder creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle!" Ash calls in worry. When the smoke clears everyone can see Grovyle laying on his back knocked out as Tracey speaks.
"Grovyle's unable to battle Manectric's the winner!" Tracey says. Ash along with his Pokémon have surprised looks on their faces. Off to the side Misty along with Togepi and Leaf are surprised too as Misty speaks.
"I can't believe it Grovyle was defeated that quickly" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"He also didn't land a single hit on Manectric" Leaf says with Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash runs over to Grovyle. Once he makes it, he gently lifts up the mons head as Grovyle looks at Ash telling the boy sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Grovyle you did your best and we'll take it from here so get a good rest" Ash says with Grovyle nodding as he goes back in his Pokeball. After that Ash goes back on his side of the battlefield when he makes it, he looks over at Ceruledge who nods with Ash nodding too as he speaks.
"Okay Ceruledge I choose you!" Ash says as Ceruledge jumps on the battlefield and gets in a battle stance as Rinto speaks.
"So, next is his Ceruledge. Manectric I'm still keeping you in" Rinto says with Manectric nodding as it looks at Ceruledge and gets in a battle stance too. Tracey calls for the battle to continue as both trainers speak.
"Manectric use Thunderbolt!" "Ceruledge use Night Shade!" Both trainers' call. The 2-mons fire their moves which collide creating an explosion. When the explosion clears, they stare at each other as Ash speaks.
"Now Ceruledge use Night Slash!" Ash calls Ceruledge covers her blades in dark energy and jumps forward going to hit Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric jump in the air to dodge then use Thunder!" Rinto calls Manectric quickly jumps in the air and dodges Ceruledge's attack. Manectric sparks its body and roars as it fires a large electric bolt that heads for Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge jump towards the Thunder and use Bitter Blade!" Ash calls Ceruledge covers her blades in purple fire then jumps in the air colliding with the Thunder. The electric bolt tries to push Ceruledge back, but Ceruledge doesn't give in as she begins to easily cut through the move. Ceruledge continues to keep cutting the Thunder until she completely destroys it, Ceruledge appears in front of Manectric as Ash speaks.
"Now use Bitter Blade!" "Manectric use Thunder Wave!" Both trainers' call. Manectric can't use Thunder Wave in time as Ceruledge hits it with her right blade sending Manectric crashing down on the ground creating a dust cloud as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric!" Rinto calls in worry as when the dust clears Manectric's lying on its stomach groaning in pain but then stands back up. Manectric then sees Ceruledge falling towards it as Ash speaks.
"Now Ceruledge use Night Slash!" "Manectric dodge!" Both trainers' call. Ceruledge covers her blades in dark energy and goes to hit Manectric. But Manectric jumps back dodging the attack as Ceruledge slashes the ground Ash speaks.
"Don't let up Ceruledge! Go after Manectric and use Bitter Blade!" Ash calls Ceruledge quickly covers her blades in purple fire and starts running towards Manectric who's landed a few feet away. Manectric is sparking its body as Rinto speaks.
"Now Discharge!" Rinto call Manectric lets out a loud roar sending electricity everywhere that destroys multiple rocks. The move is about to come into contact with Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge quick block!" Ash calls Ceruledge quickly brings up her blades and begins blocking the attack. As Ceruledge's blocking she's being slowly pushed back, and the Discharge does graze her body a bit. A few seconds later the Discharge goes away and Ceruledge sees Manectric in front of her with its teeth ready as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Crunch!" Rinto calls Manectric covers its teeth in dark energy and goes to bite Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge back away then use Flame Charge!" Ash calls Ceruledge quickly jumps back and narrowly avoids the attack.
"Ceruledge covers her body in a purple fire shoots forward and hits Manectric causing damage to the mon. Ceruledge can feel her speed increase as Ash speaks.
"Let's keep going Ceruledge now use Night Slash repeatedly!" Ash calls as Ceruledge covers her blades in dark energy and begins to continuously slash Manectric with each slash hurting more than the last. Ceruledge slashes Manectric one more time and makes the mon slide a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Now end it with Bitter Blade!" Ash calls Ceruledge covers her blades in purple fire and runs forward going to hit Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric use Thunder!" Rinto calls Manectric roars and fires a big Thunder at the incoming Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Cut through it Ceruledge!" Ash calls Ceruledge sees the Thunder and begins to easily cut through it. Once Ceruledge's done she's now in front of Manectric with her blades still covered in purple fire as Ash speaks.
"Now Ceruledge do it!" Ash calls as before Rinto can call for a command Ceruledge slashes Manectric with both of her blades and is now behind the mon. Manectric groans in pain as it then lays on its stomach in defeat Tracey makes the call.
"Manectric's unable to battle Ceruledge's the winner!" Tracey says as Ash speaks.
"Great job Ceruledge!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Hawlucha, Farfetch'd and Frogadier. Ceruledge looks at them and nods. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Nice Ceruledge got revenge for Grovyle" Misty says with Togepi and Leaf nodding. Back on the battlefield Rinto returns Manectric back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Rinto then pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Gardevoir you're next!" Rinto says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a mon that looks humanlike with a white body, green hair and looks similar to Gallade. The mon looks forward as Ash speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash questions as he along with Leaf pull out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Gardevoir the Embrace Pokémon and a Psychic/Fairy type. Gardevoir has the ability to read the future. If it senses impending danger to its Trainer, this Pokémon is said to unleash its psychokinetic energy at full power." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"So, that's a Gardevoir it looks strong" Ash says as he then looks over at Ceruledge and speaks.
"Ceruledge, do you want to continue?" Ash asks with Ceruledge nodding as she gets in a battle stance with Gardevoir doing the same. Tracey calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Let's attack first Ceruledge use Night Slash!" Ash calls Ceruledge covers her blades in dark energy and jumps forward reaching Gardevoir instantly. When Ceruledge goes to hit Gardevoir Rinto speaks.
"Use Teleport to dodge then use Calm Mind!" Rinto calls. When Ceruledge goes to hit Gardevoir the mon quickly teleports away dodging the attack. Ceruledge then looks up and sees Gardevoir floating in the air having its eyes closed and calming its mind. Once Gardevoir's done increasing its special attack and special defense it looks at Ceruledge and begins building up Psychic energy as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Psyshock!" Rinto calls Gardevoir creates multiple psychic orbs around it and fires them at Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge destroy them with Night Slash!" Ash calls Ceruledge quickly covers her blades in dark energy and begins to easily slash the psychic orbs. As Ceruledge continues to slash the orbs suddenly Gardevoir appears in front of the mon and is forming a pink orb as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Moonblast!" "Look out Ceruledge!" Both trainers' call. Ceruledge's unable to dodge in time as Gardevoir launches a point blank Moonblast that hits Ceruledge creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Ceruledge who lands on her back a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge are you okay?!" Ash asks with Ceruledge nodding as she begins to stand up but groans in pain as that Moonblast did hurt a lot. Once Ceruledge fully stands up she looks at Gardevoir with the mon looking at her as Rinto speaks.
"Your Ceruledge has a lot of stamina let's see how it'll handle this. Now Gardevoir use Psyshock!" Rinto calls Gardevoir summons multiple psychic orbs and fires them at Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"That's not going to work Ceruledge use Night Slash!" Ash calls Ceruledge covers her blades in dark energy and begins running towards the psychic orbs. As Ceruledge's about to collide with them Rinto speaks.
"Now send them upward!" Rinto calls as Gardevoir sends the psychic orbs towards the sky making Ceruledge miss. Ash along with Ceruledge are surprised as Ash then looks forward and sees Gardevoir charging up another Moonblast as Rinto speaks.
"Now fire!" Rinto calls before Ash can tell Ceruledge to dodge the Moonblast connects and hits Ceruledge creating an explosion. When the explosion clears Ceruledge is still standing but groaning in pain as Rinto speaks.
"Now send the Psyshock towards it!" Rinto calls Gardevoir's eyes glow as it sends the psychic orbs towards Ceruledge Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge dodge!" Ash calls when Ceruledge's about to dodge Rinto speaks.
"Hold it in place with Psychic!" Rinto calls Gardevoir quickly fires the psychic waves and stops Ceruledge in her tracks. Now that Ceruledge's being restrained she sees the Psychic orbs getting closer as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge quick break out of there with Night Slash!" Ash calls but was too late as the psychic orbs connect with Ceruledge creating multiple explosions as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge!" Ash yells in concern as a few seconds later the explosions stop. Everyone looks forward and when the smoke clears everyone can see Ceruledge still standing but is panting heavily as Rinto speaks.
"So, it survived but it doesn't look like it'll last for long. Gardevoir we're ending this with one more attack use Moonblast!" Rinto calls with Gardevoir nodding as it creates a ball of fairy energy and fires it toward Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge quick dodge!" Ash calls along with his Pokémon, Misty, Togepi, and Leaf. Ceruledge tries to dodge but can't as she's too tired. Ceruledge sees the Moonblast getting closer she doesn't want to lose and wants to continue fighting for her trainer. As the Moonblast is about to hit Ceruledge the mon feels more ghostly energy build up in her body as a portal suddenly appears behind her. Ceruledge quickly dives into the portal and avoids the Moonblast as the move destroys a nearby rock. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as suddenly a portal appears in front of Gardevoir, Ceruledge appears out of the portal and hits Gardevoir causing damage and making the mon slide back a few feet away as Rinto speaks.
"It learned Phantom Force?!" Rinto says in shock as Ash speaks.
"Yeah! Great Job Ceruledge!" Ash cheers along with his Pokémon as Ceruledge nods Rinto speaks.
"Gardevoir use Psychic!" Rinto calls Gardevoir fires the waves of psychic energy at Ceruledge Ash speaks.
"Quick use Phantom Force!" Ash calls when the psychic goes to hit Ceruledge the mon quickly summons a portal behind it and goes inside dodging the Psychic. After that a portal appears on Gardevoir's left side, Ceruledge appears out of the portal and hits Gardevoir again as Rinto speaks.
"Quick use Moonblast!" Ceruledge Phantom Force!" Both trainers' call. Gardevoir fires a pink orb that goes to hit Ceruledge, but the mon quickly creates a ghostly portal and dodges the attack. A portal appears in front of Gardevoir and Ceruledge appears out of it as Ash speaks.
"Now use Night Slash!" Ash calls before Rinto can call for a command Ceruledge covers both of her blades in dark energy and slashes Gardevoir causing damage and landing a critical hit. Rinto grits his teeth while Ash smiles, off to the side Misty speaks.
"If things keep going like this Ash's going to win!" Misty says with Leaf nodding as she continues to cheer. Back on the battlefield Ceruledge hits Gardevoir again with Phantom Force making the mon slide back a few feet away. Gardevoir looks at Ceruledge and is now panting with Ceruledge panting too as Ash speaks.
"Okay Ceruledge let's end this use Bitter Blade!" Ash calls Ceruledge covers her blades in purple fire and begins running towards Gardevoir. Once Ceruledge reaches Gardevoir she goes to hit the mon with her right blade as Rinto speaks.
"Gardevoir Psychic!" Rinto calls Gardevoir quickly fires the psychic waves that connect with Ceruledge and stop it in place. Ceruledge tries pushing forward but can't as she's too tired Rinto then speaks.
"Now send Ceruledge away!" Rinto calls Ash's unable to tell Ceruledge to dodge in time as Gardevoir roars and sends Ceruledge flying. Ceruledge goes past Ash and is sent flying through multiple rocks. After Ceruledge goes through one more rock she lands on the ground lying on her back knocked out as Tracey speaks.
"Ceruledge's unable to battle Gardevoir's the winner!" Tracey calls as Leaf speaks.
"Darn and Ceruledge was so close too" Leaf says with Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash's sad that Ceruledge lost then returns her back to her ball. Ash then looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thank you Ceruledge and take a good rest" Ash says as he puts the ball back on his belt. Ash then looks forward and begins to think.
"Even though Ceruledge lost she managed to weaken Gardevoir, and it doesn't look like Gardevoir will last long" Ash says to himself as he then looks at Hawlucha who nods with Ash nodding too as he looks forward and speaks.
"Okay Hawlucha get back in there!" Ash says with the lucha bird nodding as he jumps on the battlefield. Hawlucha groans in pain from his previous battle with Beautifly but ignores it as he looks at Gardevoir with the mon staring back as Rinto thinks.
"So, he's bringing his Hawlucha back in it shouldn't take too long for Gardevoir to defeat it." Rinto says to himself as he looks at Gardevoir and speaks.
"Gardevoir I'm going to keep you in" Rinto says with Gardevoir nodding as it gets in a battle stance with Hawlucha getting in one as well. Tracey calls for the battle to continue as Rinto speaks.
"Let's end this fast Gardevoir use Psyshock!" Rinto calls Gardevoir creates multiple psychic orbs around it and fires them at Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Hawlucha!" Ash calls as Hawlucha begins to easily dodge the orbs. As Hawlucha continues to dodge Gardevoir's building up psychic energy as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Psychic!" Rinto calls Gardevoir fires a wave of psychic energy that heads for Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use X Scissor!" Ash calls after Hawlucha dodges the final Psyshock he sees the incoming Psychic attack. Hawlucha crosses his arms in an X shape jumps forward and easily destroys the Psychic. Once Hawlucha does that he sees Gardevoir creating an orb of fairy energy as Rinto speaks.
"Now Moonblast!" Rinto calls. Gardevoir fires an orb of fairy energy that goes to hit Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use Swords Dance then kick it back with High Jump Kick!" Ash calls Hawlucha quickly increases his attack power. Hawlucha's left leg glows red and collides with the orb. The orb tries to knock Hawlucha's leg away but the lucha bird roars increasing the power of his move and successfully kicks the Moonblast back towards Gardevoir as Rinto speaks.
"Gardevoir intercept it with another Moonblast!" Rinto calls Gardevoir quickly fires another Moonblast that collides with the other and creates an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Ash's Hawlucha who's glowing red and showcasing his chest as Ash speaks.
"Now use Flying Press!" "Gardevoir Psychic!" Both trainers' call. Before Gardevoir can use Psychic Hawlucha hits Gardevoir's face causing the mon to stop. As Hawlucha's pushing Gardevoir down he notices the mon creating another Moonblast with its right hand as Rinto speaks.
"Do it Gardevoir!" "Hawlucha push Gardevoir down!" Both trainers' call. Hawlucha roars increasing the power of his Flying Press and making Gardevoir groan in pain. Gardevoir doesn't want to give up as it roars too and hits Hawlucha with Moonblast which creates an explosion along with a big gust of wind as both trainers speak.
"Hawlucha!" "Gardevoir!" The 2 trainers' call. A few seconds later the wind goes away and the smoke clears. Once the smoke is fully gone everyone can see both Hawlucha and Gardevoir lying on the ground knocked out as Tracey speaks.
"Both Hawlucha and Gardevoir are unable to battle!" Tracey says as Misty speaks.
"It's a draw" Misty says in surprise as Leaf speaks.
"And now they both have one Pokémon left" Leaf says with Misty nodding as they continue to look at the battlefield. We see Rinto return Gardevoir back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Ash also returns Hawlucha back to his Pokeball and tells him thank you as well. But once he does that suddenly Hawlucha appears out of his ball again surprising Ash as he speaks.
"You want to stay out Hawlucha?" Ash asks with the lucha bird nodding as he wants to watch Farfetch'd's battle. 2 of Ash's other Pokeball's wriggle as Grovyle along with Ceruledge appear as they want to watch the battle too. Ash looks at them and speaks.
"Okay make sure you guys' cheer loud for Farfetch'd" Ash says with the mons nodding as they all look at Farfetch'd and tell him good luck with the duck nodding as he walks on the battlefield. On the other side of the battlefield Rinto looks at Gallade who nods as it walks on the battlefield too and stares at Farfetch'd with the duck staring back as Tracey speaks.
"This is the final battle both trainers have one Pokémon left! Whoever defeats their opponent's Pokémon first will be declared the winner! Do both trainers understand?" Tracey asks with the 2 boys and their Pokémon nodding as Tracey continues.
"Now that both trainers are ready and have sent out their final Pokémon let the battle continue!" Tracey says as Ash speaks.
"Let's do this Farfetch'd use Night Slash!" Ash calls Farfetch'd's leek glows in dark energy and jumps forward going to hit Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Block with your left arm then use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls Gallade nods as it brings up its left arm and blocks Farfetch'd's attack but the weight from the leek makes the ground that Gallade's standing on crack a little bit. Gallade's arm glows in Psychic energy and goes to upper cut Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Use Detect to dodge then use Brutal Swing!" Ash calls Farfetch'd's left eye glows as he does a back flip and avoids Gallade's attack. Farfetch'd lands a few feet away his leek glows in dark energy, he jumps forward and begins to spin going to hit Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Dodge Gallade then use Air Slash!" Rinto calls Gallade quickly moves to the right and dodges Farfetch'd's attack as the duck destroys a nearby rock instead. Once Gallade gets a good enough distance the blade on its forehead glows and begins firing multiple slashes of wind towards Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd dodge and run towards Gallade!" Ash calls Farfetch'd nods as he manages to easily dodge all the slashes of wind and begins running towards Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls Gallade covers both of its arms in psychic energy and swings them firing two psychic blades towards Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Jump Farfetch'd and use Focus Energy!" Ash calls Farfetch'd Jumps dodging the 2 psychic blades then tightens his focus. Farfetch'd is now heading towards Gallade and has his leek ready as Rinto speaks.
"Gallade use Focus Blast!" Rinto calls Gallade quickly creates an orange ball of fighting energy and fires it at Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Farfetch'd and land in front of Gallade!" Ash calls Farfetch'd moves to the left and easily dodges the Focus Blast. Farfetch'd then lands right in front of Gallade and looks at it as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls Gallade covers its left arm in psychic energy and goes to hit Farfetch'd with it as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Farfetch'd then use Fury Cutter!" Ash calls Farfetch'd quickly backs away as Gallade punches the ground instead. Farfetch'd's leek then glows light green as the duck then jumps forward and hits Gallade across the face with it doing super effective damage and making Gallade slide a few feet back. Gallade manages to stop itself as it looks at Farfetch'd, Rinto's surprised as Ash speaks.
"Nice we landed a hit, and it looks like it was a critical hit just 2 more to go Farfetch'd!" Ash says with Farfetch'd nodding as Rinto speaks.
"What do you mean by landing 2 more are you saying that your Farfetch'd will defeat my Gallade in just 2 more hits?" Rinto asks as Ash speaks.
"Oh, I don't mean it like that what I mean is that Mr. Wikstrom said that if Farfetch'd's able to land 3 critical hits in a row he'll unlock something." Ash responds with Rinto nodding as he speaks.
"I see so that's what you mean by landing 3 in a row" Rinto says with Ash nodding as Rinto smirks then speaks.
"Well seeing as that's your goal we'll just have to make sure you don't reach it right Gallade?" Rinto asks with Gallade nodding as Ash speaks.
"Bring it on! Let's keep going Farfetch'd!" Ash says with Farfetch'd nodding as he continues to stare at Gallade with Gallade staring back. The 2 mons along with their trainers continue to look at each other as Rinto speaks.
"We'll strike first Gallade use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls Gallade covers its arms in psychic energy and begins firing multiple psychic blades towards Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd dodge then use Focus Energy!" Ash calls Farfetch'd begins to run around avoiding the psychic blades. After Farfetch'd dodges the last one he quickly tightens his focus, suddenly Gallade appears in front of Farfetch'd as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Psycho Cut!" "Farfetch'd use Detect then Fury Cutter!" Both trainers' call. Gallade covers its right arm in psychic energy and goes to hit Farfetch'd. But Farfetch'd's right eye glows allowing Farfetch'd to dodge the attack by moving to the right. Farfetch'd's leek glows in light green energy as he jumps upward and upper cuts Gallade with his leek making the mon soar through the air then come crashing back down on the battlefield landing on its back a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Nice that's our second critical hit! Farfetch'd let's get our last one! Use Fury Cutter again!" Ash calls Farfetch'd nods his leek glows in light green and jumps forward going to hit Gallade. Off to the side Misty along with Togepi and Leaf cheer the duck on. Back on the battlefield Farfetch'd's reached Gallade and goes to hit the mon one more time as Rinto speaks.
"Disable!" Rinto calls as Gallade looks at Farfetch'd's leek and makes the Fury Cutter disappear, surprising Ash along with the duck as Ash speaks.
"That's right I forgot that his Gallade has Disable but that's fine" Ash says to himself then speaks.
"It's okay Farfetch'd Fury Cutter maybe gone but you still got your other moves use Night Slash!" Ash calls Farfetch'd nods he covers his leek in dark energy and goes to hit Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Block it!" Rinto calls Gallade, brings up its left arm and blocks the attack. Farfetch'd is now pushing hard against Gallade's arm trying to knock it away, but Gallade isn't backing down. Farfetch'd along with Ash see Gallade going to hit Farfetch'd with its right fist as Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd quick use Detect to dodge!" Ash calls with Farfetch'd nodding as when he uses the move Rinto smirks. Ash notices Rinto smirking as the boy speaks.
"Now Gallade use Feint!" Rinto calls surprising Ash as Gallade's right arm glows orange it disables the Detect and cleanly slices through Farfetch'd's leek cutting it in half. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces especially Farfetch'd as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Close Combat!" Rinto calls before Ash can say anything Gallade begins to repeatedly punch/kick Farfetch'd with every hit it lands doing more damage than the last Gallade then punches Farfetch'd one more time and sends the duck flying as he lands on his back a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd!" Ash calls in worry. On the battlefield Farfetch'd groans in pain but stands back up he then looks at his now cut in half leek and is holding the 2 pieces in his hands still having a surprised look on his face as off to the side Leaf speaks.
"Rinto knew that since Fury Cutter is a move that does more damage every time it lands, he had Gallade use Disable to get rid of it. He also knows that since Farfetch'd likes to use Detect he taught his Gallade feint making Farfetch'd's Detect useless. I just didn't think that the Feint would actually cut Farfetch'd's leek in half." Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"And now that Farfetch'd's leek has been damaged I don't know how Ash is going to have Farfetch'd continue to fight" Misty says with Leaf nodding as they continue to look at the battlefield. Back on the battlefield Farfetch'd continues to look at the 2 pieces as Rinto speaks.
"I must say you've certainly improved since the last time we battled because before your Farfetch'd was unable to land a single hit on Gallade. But now that Fury Cutter's disabled and Farfetch'd leek is cut in two pieces do you still plan on battling? Because it looks like your Farfetch'd is done." Rinto says while looking at Ash as the boy speaks.
"No! I'm not giving up yet and Farfetch'd can still continue!" Ash responds while Rinto looks at him, not surprised by Ash's answer as Ash begins to think.
"But now that I've said that what can I do now? Rinto's right Farfetch'd looks like he doesn't want to battle anymore how can I make him get his confidence back?" Ash says to himself as he's trying to think of a way for Farfetch'd to fight he remembers Wikstrom's Aegislash and how it battled with a sword and a shield. Ash gets an idea as he looks at Farfetch'd and speaks.
"Farfetch'd, I know you're in shock right now, but you can still win this even with your leek cut in half!" Ash says making the duck look at him as he then sees Ash take off his hat with his left hand and is holding it close to his body as Ash speaks.
"You can use one piece as a sword and another as a shield! Just like Aegislash" Ash says as Farfetch'd remembers his battle against Wikstrom's Aegislash and how it battled using a sword and shield. Farfetch'd then breaks out of his shock as he holds one piece of his leek with his right hand while his left hand holds the other piece like a shield. Farfetch'd then looks at Gallade and has a serious look on his face as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, just like that Farfetch'd!" Ash (now wearing his hat again) cheers along with his other Pokémon as Rinto smiles and speaks.
"I see so that's what he's doing now." Rinto says as he looks at Gallade and speaks.
"Gallade don't let up!" Rinto says with Gallade nodding as it ready's itself Rinto calls for a command.
"Use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls Gallade covers its right arm in psychic energy and swings it sending a psychic blade towards Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Use Night Slash!" Ash calls Farfetch'd covers the leek in his right hand in dark energy and easily destroys the psychic blade. Farfetch'd then looks forward and sees Gallade building up power as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Air Slash!" Rinto calls the blade on Gallade's head glows and fires multiple slashes of wind towards Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd run forward while using your shield to block!" Ash calls Farfetch'd nods as he puts his shield forward and begins to run colliding with the slashes of wind. As Farfetch'd's running he's easily blowing past the attack but some of the Air Slashes do hit him, but Farfetch'd continues to run. Once Farfetch'd gets through the Air Slash he's now in front of Gallade and gets his leek ready as Ash speaks.
"Now use Night Slash!" "Counter with Knock Off!" Both trainers' call. Farfetch'd covers the leek in his right hand in dark energy while Gallade covers its left fist in dark energy. The 2 mons then collide and begin pushing each other back and forth. As they continue Gallade's slowly gaining the upper hand as Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd move to the left then jump forward and use Night Slash!" Ash calls Farfetch'd quickly moves to the left which causes Gallade to stumble a little bit. Farfetch'd covers the leek in his right hand in dark energy again and jabs Gallade hard in the stomach (landing a critical hit) making the mon cough in pain as Rinto speaks.
"Use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls Gallade covers its right fist in psychic energy and upper cuts Farfetch'd causing super effective damage as Ash speaks.
"Use Night Slash again!" Ash calls Farfetch'd quickly recovers and slashes Gallade across the face causing more damage and getting another critical hit. Gallade groans in pain then looks at Farfetch'd as Rinto speaks.
"Use Psycho Cut again!" Rinto calls Gallade covers its left fist in psychic energy and punches Farfetch'd hard across the face causing damage and almost knocking the wind out of Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Come on Farfetch'd you're not done use Night Slash one more time!" Ash calls Farfetch'd looks at Gallade he covers the leek in his right hand in dark energy again and hits Gallade hard in the face causing super effective damage and landing the 3rd and final critical hit. Ash smiles along with Farfetch'd as Gallade looks at the duck Rinto speaks.
"Now Gallade use Close Combat!" Rinto calls Gallade roars as it begins punching Farfetch'd repeatedly. Gallade punches Farfetch'd hard in the face and sends the duck crashing on the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd!" Ash calls in worry. A few seconds later the dust clears, and everyone can see Farfetch'd laying on his back groaning in pain. Farfetch'd then stands back up and begins to pant heavily with Gallade panting too as Rinto speaks.
"Even though your Farfetch'd landed those 3 critical hits in a row it looks like it didn't amount to anything." Rinto says as Ash looks at Farfetch'd and sees that the duck hasn't changed much. He looks at Rinto and speaks.
"That may be the case but even though Farfetch'd hasn't changed or learned a new move he's still winning this battle!" Ash states while having a determined look on his face as his Pokémon cheer agreeing with him. Rinto looks at them and smiles. Meanwhile back with the still panting Farfetch'd he agrees with Ash's feelings even though his body hurts he won't give up until he wins this battle. Farfetch'd gains a determined look on his face as he has a blue light surrounding his body then glows. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as Rinto speaks.
"His Farfetch'd it's-" Before Rinto can finish Ash speaks.
"Farfetch'd's evolving!" Ash says while having an excited look on his face as he along with everyone continue to watch. They see Farfetch'd's appearance change along with the 2 leek pieces in his hands changing too. Once the light of evolution fades away what was once a Farfetch'd is now a Sirfetch'd who's holding a leek sword in his right hand and a leek shield in his left hand. The mon has a confident look on his face as Ash along with Leaf take out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Sirfetch'd the Wild Duck Pokémon it's a pure Fighting type and the fully evolved form of Galarian Farfetch'd. After deflecting attacks with its hard leaf shield, it strikes back with its sharp leek stalk. The leek stalk is both weapon and food." The Pokedex says as Misty speaks.
"I get it now so after landing 3 critical hits in a row it allowed for Farfetch'd to evolve." Misty says with Leaf nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Sirfetch'd and speaks.
"Wow amazing Sirfetch'd congrats on evolving!" Ash says with his other Pokémon cheering too making Sirfetch'd smile as Rinto speaks.
"It now resembles more of a knight but compared to my Gallade it's still weaker. Gallade use Focus Blast!" Rinto calls Gallade quickly forms an orange ball of fighting energy and fires it at Sirfetch'd as Ash speaks.
"Block Sirfetch'd!" Ash calls Sirfetch'd looks at the incoming Focus Blast and swings its shield easily deflecting the move as it destroys a nearby rock. Everyone's surprised that Sirfetch'd was able to easily deflect the move while the duck smirks. Sirfetch'd then sees Gallade appear in front of it and has its arms ready as Rinto speaks.
"Gallade use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls Gallade, covers both arms in psychic energy and goes to hit Sirfetch'd with its right arm as Ash speaks.
"Sirfetch'd block with your shield!" Ash calls Sirfetch'd quickly brings up his shield and successfully blocks Gallade's attack. Gallade tries to knock Sirfetch'd's shield away but the duck isn't budging Sirfetch'd then sees Gallade going to hit him with its left arm as Ash speaks.
"Sirfetch'd knock it away with Night Slash! Ash calls Sirfetch'd covers his leek sword in dark energy and swings it easily knocking away Gallade's right arm surprising the mon and Rinto. Rinto then looks forward and sees Sirfetch'd's leek becoming a light green then speaks.
"Is that Fury Cutter?!" Rinto asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, the Disable came undone right on time and now it's time to finish this!" Ash responds with Sirfetch'd agreeing with him as Rinto speaks.
"Gallade use Air Slash!" "I don't think so Sirfetch'd quick knock away Gallade's right arm!" Both trainers' call. Before Gallade can use Air Slash Sirfetch'd swings his shield knocking away Gallade's right arm and making the mon stumble a little bit. Sirfetch'd looks at Gallade and ready's his leek sword as Ash speaks.
"This is our chance Sirfetch'd! USE FURY CUTTER!" "SIR!" Ash along with Sirfetch'd yell as Sirfetch'd's leek sword glows an intense light green and jabs Gallade hard in the stomach. Gallade coughs in pain as it can feel the wind being knocked out of it. After that Sirfetch'd removes his sword and looks at the still standing Gallade. Gallade continues to stand for a few seconds until it falls on the ground laying on its stomach. Everyone looks at the mon and can see that it can't battle anymore as Tracey makes the call.
"Gallade's unable to battle Sirfetch'd's the winner! Seeing as Rinto has no more Pokémon left this means that Ash is the victor!" Tracey says as Ash gets a big smile on his face and speaks.
"WE DID IT!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Hawlucha, Grovyle, Ceruledge, and Frogadier while Sirfetch'd smiles. Off to the side Misty, Togepi, and Leaf cheer too as Misty speaks.
"They did it!" Misty says happily with Leaf nodding as they continue to cheer. Ash along with his other Pokémon run on the battlefield and when they make it over to Sirfetch'd they look at the mon as Ash speaks.
"You did it Sirfetch'd you defeated Gallade and congrats again on evolving!" Ash says with his other Pokémon congratulating Sirfetch'd too with the mon nodding. Sirfetch'd then looks at Hawlucha who's looking at him. The 2 mons continue to stare at each other as Hawlucha smiles pointing his right fist forward telling Sirfetch'd that even though he's stronger now he won't be in the lead for long as he'll soon catch up. Sirfetch'd smiles as he points his shield forward making it bump with Hawlucha's right fist and tells the mon that he looks forward to it and will continue to grow stronger making Hawlucha smile. Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield Rinto's disappointed that he lost but smiles as he walks towards Gallade. Once he reaches the mon he helps Gallade stand back up. Gallade looks at Rinto and tells him sorry as Rinto speaks.
"It's okay you along with everyone else did great" Rinto says with Gallade nodding. After that Ash along with his Pokémon appear in front of them as Ash speaks.
"Hey Rinto, that was an amazing battle my Pokémon and I had a lot of fun!" Ash says with his Pokémon nodding making Rinto and Gallade smile as Rinto speaks.
"I admit it while I'm disappointed that I lost my Pokémon, and I enjoyed the battle too" Rinto says with Gallade nodding making Ash happy as Rinto continues to speak.
"But the next time we battle we won't lose" Rinto says with Gallade agreeing as Ash speaks.
"We won't either!" Ash says with his Pokémon agreeing with him making Rinto and Gallade smile as the 2 trainers then shake each other's hands. After that they all go to another island that's close by which has a Pokémon Center allowing for Ash and Rinto to heal up their Pokémon. Once that was done Rinto gets on a boat that'll take him towards the final gym and the group wave him goodbye until they can't see him anymore. Ash then heads back in the Pokémon Center to switch out his Pokémon as he wants to give them a break, he was also going to send Grovyle back, but the mon refused as he wanted to stay with Ash and the boy respected Grovyle's wishes. Once that's done Ash brings out Lapras who lets the group get on her back and the mon begins to swim forward. As Lapras is swimming Ash speaks.
"Man, that was a good day my Pokémon got some good training in, I battled Rinto again and my Farfetch'd evolved into a Sirfetch'd." Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"And I caught 2 shiny Pokémon!" Leaf says with the group nodding as Misty then looks at Tracey and speaks.
"So, which island should we go to next?" Misty asks as Tracey flips through his guidebook and speaks.
"If we keep heading North, we should reach an island called New Orre Island which is said to have some places that look like the Orre region." Tracey says making the group excited as Leaf speaks.
"Cool! I read up on the Orre region before and I can't wait to see what they've there!" Leaf says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay we've our next destination New Orre Island hear we come!" Ash says as he along with everyone cheer and Lapras continues to swim. We now cut away from the group and head over to Team Snagem's base which is on New Orre Island we come inside Gonzap's office. We see Gonzap looking at a screen and on the screen, we see Greevil who then speaks.
"So, I take it that your team have secured enough Pokémon?" Greevil asks as Gonzap speaks.
"Yes, that's right and we'll begin transporting them to Cipher tomorrow" Gonzap says with Greevil nodding as he speaks.
"I'm glad to hear it" Greevil says with Gonzap nodding as he speaks.
"Is there anything else you wanted?" Gonzap asks as Greevil speaks.
"No, I just wanted to know when you'll be transporting those Pokémon to us." Greevil responds with Gonzap nodding as Greevil continues.
"But now that I think about it there is one more thing, I should let you know. I've been hearing rumors that the international police have been trying to investigate my company and your team trying to see if there's a connection with us and have sent some agents who're currently undercover. You wouldn't happen to know anything would you?" Greevil asks as Gonzap speaks.
"No, I don't, and we did get some new recruits recently that Wakin has been watching. They're a little weird but Wakin hasn't noticed anything that would make them be undercover international Police agents." Gonzap responds with Greevil nodding as he speaks.
"That's good to hear and I look forward to seeing the Pokémon your team has captured delivered to us sometime tomorrow" Greevil says with Gonzap nodding. After that they then end communication as we now go over to where the disguised Looker, Jessie, James, and Meowth are. They're currently in a room that's filled with Pokémon in cages as James speaks.
"Every time I come in here it makes me sad" James says as Meowth speaks.
"Seeing all these Pokémon trapped here makes me sick to my stomach" Meowth says as Jessie speaks.
"I can't believe that we used to do this before" Jessie says as Looker speaks.
"I know how you all feel as I feel the same but thankfully tomorrow will be the last day we see this as once our reinforcements come, we'll finally take down Team Snagem and save these Pokémon." Looker says with Jessie, James, and Meowth nodding. After that they then leave the room and go to their own rooms to sleep for the night as the chapter comes to an end.
