"I assume you have dealt with them."

"As requested."

Nile has been taught to hold his tongue around her, but he also cannot fathom why they haven't just killed the pair. Julia isn't usually one for loose ends, and the dark haired girl and the English boy are very clearly flying free.

"I know when you want to say something Nile. Why don't we talk?" her tone is soft and gentle but he knows better.

"I was just questioning the wisdom of letting them leave unscathed."

"Sometimes murder isn't the only answer. I know this might surprise you, Nile, but sometimes clemency can be almost as beneficial."

"Even in this case? They have already succeeded in getting closer to us than we anticipated."

"Restraint is a trait you must learn to exercise if you are going to be a great agent. You must not allow your love of killing to blind you to the benefits of occasionally keeping an enemy alive. Goodnight."

He knows he's been dismissed.

He thinks about the faces of the teenagers – the worry in the eyes of the curly haired boy with the stupid hat is understandable. But the other one… the utter abject fear and… anger in her stare. Close to tears but still willing to try and threaten him. Like she was wanted to attack him. Interesting.

He's started to leave but now stops and turns back to face Julia. "The girl is in love with him."

"Hmmm?" Julia questions without looking up.

"The girl. She is in love with Alex. Thought you should know. Just in case we need some… leverage at some point."
