"I think I just entered heaven," Marinette gasped as one of the Guardians opened one of the rooms filled with clothes. "There are clothes everywhere. This is better then Disney," she whispered. Claw smiled and chuckled. He wouldn't go that far, but with Marinette a fashion designer, she was probably in her element.

The Guardian chuckled. "I'll leave you two to pack, for your mission gets only more dangerous from here on out. Choose wisely. Oh, and the clothes you choose will be approved by the Council, who will meet with you in two hours."

A silent look passed between the partners. Two hours didn't give them much time. Claw waited to be alone again, when he asked, "Is it the Jedi Council? Don't they know how many runways I've been on." "You'll be fine, Kitty," Marinette assured him. "After all, you've got me to help you if you need advice." "Hey, black is a purr-fectly good color. As for pink," he grinned and winked. "Shh! Let's meet back here in a half hour and see what we've come with up." Claw leaned forward, planting a soft kiss on her cheek. "There's my girl. Always with a plan." "Come on," she laughed, giving him a soft push. "Someone has to have a plan, and you'd spend all yours napping." Claw opened his mouth to argue, then closed it when he realized she was right.

He waddled off, and she started looking through the hangers. It didn't take her long to find that all the clothes were vintage, and she groaned. Where was a Cinna from the Hunger Games when you need one?

Marinette thought the man a brilliant genius, thinking of everything to keep Katniss and Peeta safe. Guess I have to think like him, Marinette thought to herself, now going through the clothes more thoughtfully.

Her head beginning buzzing at the twenty minute mark, and she was so relieved when Claw returned. "Having fun?" he asked. "I'd thought you'd be in your element." "I thought so too," she replied, rubbing at her temples. "How do designer do this all day?" Claw grinned a wicked grin. "By being paid the big bucks."

"Okay, maybe were looking at this all wrong," Marinette walked over to a small table where a light-looking breastplate sat. "Put this on," she handed it to Claw then grabbed a sweater. Claw raised an eyebrow. "What if rains and I rust shut?" "Then I'll have a oil can ready," her comeback was swift and sharp, and Claw's mouth fell open. "I love you."

Marinette adjusted a few things, and Claw felt his heart start doing zoomies at each brush, each little touch. His throat grew dry as she selected her own protection, and he desperately wanted to kiss her. To bad they had work to do.

The two hours of work passed swiftly, and Marinette felt like she had run a marathon. Still, she was happy with her choices and Claw's as well, thanking the stars his modeling background helped with that.

The same Guardian came back, walking over quickly. "The assembly is eager and waiting to see your choices. Oh, that won't be necessary…" he eyed Claw's ring. "How about you give me the ring for safe keeping? I'll make sure nothing happens to it." Claw stared at him, his eyes serious. "Is that a direct order? Because if your lying…." "Yes, yes. A direct order." "What about my earrings?" Marinette asked. "They won't snag on your clothing, now do as your told, Claw Noir." Claw sighed, slipping off his ring. What choice did they have in the matter, if it came from the higher ups?

Claw felt his stomach drop as the ring dropped into the out stretched palm. Placing a hand on Marinette's shoulder and without taking his eyes off the guard he said, "Let's go, Princess."

The Supreme waited till the door clicked shut, then his disguise fell. He walked over to one of the tables, setting right to work. His skilled hands moved along the ring till he found the button that opened a secret compartment on the ring.

"You've outsmarted me and made me a fool one to many times, Ladybug and Claw Noir! If missing your mother is such a heavy burden, Claw, you'll soon be seeing her again." As he talked he poured a foul smelled liquid into the ring: poison. It wasn't enough for an instant kill, no the Supreme wouldn't have that. He heard footsteps and left the ring on the table in his haste, escaping like the coward he was into one of his many portals.

"We approve your choices, Ladybug, and you, Claw Noir. You will rest here for the night, then in the mornings been sent to sneak into the Supreme castle. Best of luck to both of you," The Guardian who sat on the highest pedestal told them, and they were lead from the room.

"Dinner awaits you in the dining room," a young girl said. "For it is time to rest and refuel." "Give me one moment, love. I feel like I'm forgetting something in the wardrobe room." "Hurry back," Marinette called after him. "My stomach and heart await you return."

Claw was soon back, his face stormy like a thundercloud. "My ring was on the table, Princess! That Guardian was reckless and careless letting it lay about like that."

"What's this, I hear about a ring?" the Guardian who approved their choices heading over to them. Claw explained the situation, and Guardian's face became serious. "I gave no such order, or did request anyone tell you that." "Come on, Kitten. It was just a mistake. We'll feel better after food, alright?"

Claw wanted to argue, but he stayed silent. Something just didn't add up. "As you wish, My Lady."

But Claw only picked at his food, suddenly standing and claiming he wanted time alone. Marinette sighed, her own want for food disappearing, and going the opposite way, she headed for the garden. Claw swayed a little as he walked, his head a bit foggy. Was he…. He blacked out before he could even finish the sentence.
