A/N: Thank you for all of the wonderful support! I really appreciate it. I would also like some reviews on how you like the story so far. Am I making things interesting enough? Constructive criticism, please... not destructive. :)
Also, if you somehow missed it, Polyamourous relations was requested. Harry is married to both Daphne and Susan, but that does not mean that Daphne and Susan will be intimately involved.
A/N 2: Part 2 of Rising Storms has just flown by! Just one or two chapters (Most likely only 1) left before we get to Part 3! I was shocked with how fast this part of the story was coming along. No, I didn't actively try to rush the story. It just happened to go pretty fast. I hope you aren't disappointed in this too much.
Rising Storms
A Harry Potter and Percy Jackson crossover
Part 2
Chapter 15:
Percy
They walked through what Percy called the 'plains' of Tartarus. Percy felt the bubble of air around his nose and mouth, but he couldn't see it. He thanked Harry mentally for the clean air, and saw Harry look at him in shock. Percy was startled from his thoughts by the hand on his shoulder. He turned his head to look, and saw Leo. "Hey, Leo. What's up?"
Leo smiled slightly. "I was just wondering how you were able to control that river back there. I mean, Poseidon is the god of the sea, not all water. We're in Tartarus, as well, no where near the ocean."
Percy shrugged. "I don't know how I was able to do that. It makes no sense to me."
Harry held a hand out to stop them, and cocked his head to the side. "Something's here," he said to the others in a quiet voice.
Jason looked at Harry worriedly. "Do you think it's something bad?"
Harry shook his head. "More of an annoyance, I believe."
A group of six cheerleaders came around the bend of the cliffside, and Percy groaned when he saw them. "The empousai," he said.
The monsters laughed and Kelli said, "Aw, the sea spawn remembers us!" She let out a horrible laugh and grinned at Percy. "Get them, but leave Perseus Jackson to me." The empousai attacked their group.
Percy uncapped his sword, and saw Harry conjure a blade of his own. They stood back to back quickly when the empousai went to surround the group. Percy and his friends outnumbered the monsters, and it was easy to take care of them. Percy felt his body moving on autopilot, slashing and spinning as Kelli deftly avoided his sword. He kicked her back, and smirked when she lunged at him in fury. He spun to the side and held his sword out before him, grinning when Riptide sliced through her waist... turning Kelli into dust.
"I was about to ask if you were done playing with your foe," Harry asked, grinning. Percy looked up at him.
Grover laughed out loud. "Kelli was the last to be destroyed. You took your time, Perce."
Percy shrugged. "What can I say? It's the joy of the fight." He grinned.
Jason looked at Percy thoughtfully. "I wonder which of us would be stronger than the other."
Piper and Hazel rolled their eyes. "Boys," they said, nodding to each other.
Frank laughed. "I think it would be fun."
"Yeah," Leo said. "Just think about all of the fun weapons we could use."
Harry only smiled and led them further along the river of fire, Phelegethon, keeping an eye out and listening for attackers. "If my gut is right, this river will keep you full."
"That's right," Hazel said. "It will also heal any wounds you receive, for a short period of time."
"You're really knowledgeable about the rivers here," Piper said.
Hazel looked worried, and Frank stepped up beside her. "Let's not think of that anymore," he said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
They found themselves in the woods, having lost sight of the Phelegethon, and they could barely make out ghostly shapes in the darkness. "What's that?" Jason asked curiously.
"We are spirits, here to stop you from going any further," said one of the shapes.
"They're not just spirits," Piper said, recalling a story one of her half-siblings had told her before she left on this quest. "They're called-"
Percy scoffed. "I don't care what they are called. How do we get past them?"
"Defeat them?" Leo suggested.
Piper shook her head. "If you defeat them, you'll feel the affects of whatever curse they carry. The curses are from any monsters that got defeated, and they attach to whoever kills the spirit."
Harry thought about that, nodding as he did. "Okay, no one defeat the evil spirits. I've got this."
The cursed spirits attacked the group when they tried to get past them, and Harry sliced one spirit in half. The other spirits were shocked that Harry wasn't overcome with a curse, and so they attacked the demigods and satyr instead.
"Ow," Percy said, hobbling after he cut one spirit. His ankle was on fire.
Jason screamed in fury when he was suddenly unable to see. Leo cursed when he doubled over after defeating a spirit, and then he noticed that he couldn't hear anything. He cupped his ears, but shook his head. Frank stood in front of them protecting Jason and Leo without defeating any of the spirits.
Piper, Grover, and Hazel stood back to back, protecting themselves and each other. Harry sighed, looking at all of them. Then he was on the move, cutting through the spirits easily and taking them out. Harry walked over to Jason and placed a hand on Jason's head. Closing his eyes, he pushed his powers out and healed Jason's sight. He opened his eyes and looked at Jason, who nodded in thanks.
Percy watched as Harry healed Leo and then came over to heal his ankle. "Thanks, Harry."
"Don't worry about it."
They had time to rest for a few minutes, before a series of loud thumps caught their attention and Percy looked up in time to see the Titan that was coming their way. "Not again," Percy groaned.
They barely stood up and braced themselves to fight, when the Titan hit them hard... making the group fly. Jason wheezed. "Ow." His voice came out weakly.
"These people are pissing me off!" Percy yelled. He stood up, seeing Harry also stand up from where he had fallen. Percy felt his powers rise inside of himself, and he wondered if he could control the underworld rivers from so far away. Then he remembered the talk with Zeus from after the Battle against Kronos... where Zeus mentioned the possibility of Percy becoming a god. He didn't think that was possible, but then again, anything could happen.
Harry lunged at the Titan, attacking with his sword, and managed to hurt the Titan. "I don't know or care what your name is, but you should just... die!" He wouldn't normally say that to people, but he knew that the Titan would eventually respawn, and that would give them time to get away.
Percy felt something inside crack when he saw Jason get stabbed by the Titan's spear. "Jason!"
Harry looked over at Jason, and also saw Percy start to glow. "Close your eyes!" He yelled at the demigods.
