A/N: Merry Christmas, everyone! As a special treat, I'll share with you several scenes from my Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure adaptation that were left on the cutting room floor. These were cut for various reasons: didn't fit the flow of the story, the felt pointless, or sometimes I just wanted to get this nightmare of a film over with and hopefully put this thing behind me. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: You know the drill.

Chapter 319: Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure: Cut Scenes

Scene 1: A Tale of Two Olivers

(Basically a stand in for that weird subplot where Marion thought Oliver the engine and Oliver the excavator were the same person. Cut because while I like the idea of these two interacting, it just didn't mesh with the rest of the movie. Takes place before Max's accident)

"Oliver, get over here and move this rock!"

Oliver jumped, surprised by the sudden shouting.

"Huh? What're you talking about, I couldn't lift that if I tried!"

"I think he's talking to me."

Oliver looked to see a brown Excavator making his way towards the area, scooping up a big chunk of rock before dumping it into Oliver's trucks. Once that was done, the operator stepped down and walked over to him.

"I guess we have the same name. I'm Oliver, I work for The Pack."

"Really? I never knew there was another Oliver on Sodor."

"I'm not surprised, we don't usually come over here. Most of our work is on the Ffarquhar Branchline, and occasionally along the mainline. We rarely make our way over to this corner of the island."

"So it seems. Well, it was nice meeting you!"

"You too!"

(I was going to do more, but it just turned out to be a bunch of one of them thinking someone was calling for them, only for it to be the other one, which got old real quick, so I scrapped it.)

Scene 2: Skiff Gets a Family

(Takes place during the final chapter while Duck and Diesel make amends. While I found it cute, it just slowed down the pace)

Skiff breathed a sigh of relief as he exited Diesel's hospital room. He was glad that Diesel would be okay.

"Excuse me, son?"

Skiff jumped, for there coming towards him was a Police officer.

"Officer? B-But I already gave my testimony! I told the truth, I promise!"

"Easy son, I believe you. I was looking for you because there's someone who would like to meet you."

Skiff was puzzled, but followed the officer to a meeting room on the same floor. There he found two people he had never seen before. They were a married couple, and looked very happy to see him.

"Skiff, meet Captain Joe and his wife Miranda."

"Ah, you must be Skiff! We've heard about your story from Officer Marty here."

Miranda suddenly got up and gave Skiff a big hug, making him gasp from the sudden display of affection.

"Oh, you poor thing! Having to live on the streets like that, only to be taken in by such a brute? How horrible!"

"Um…thanks, but why did you want to meet me?"

Captain Joe slipped over a bunch of papers, indicating to Skiff that he should read them. When Skiff had finished reading, he dropped them in shock.

"Y-You really want to adopt me?"

The two nodded, big smiles on their faces.

"We want to start a family, and after hearing your story we just knew you were the one. What do you say?"

Skiff burst into tears, and gave them a big hug.

Scene 3: The Wedding

(This was the hardest one to cut, but by the time I got to the point where I wanted to include it I was creatively exhausted. Like I've said, this movie was a nightmare to rewrite, and this wouldn't have made it any easier. And I wanted to end it on Daisy and Diesel getting together, so it seemed like a fair trade)

Jack stood at the altar, nervously adjusting his tie over and over as he waited for his bride to show up. Alfie, his best man, chuckled.

"Nervous, are ya?"

"Nervous, no, why would I be? It's just the biggest day of my life!"

"Jack, don't you love Isobella?"

"Of course I love her! What kind of question is that?"

"Then what's there to be worried about? You love her, and she loves you, and by the end of today you'll be husband and wife."

"But my vows! What if I screw them up?"

"Who cares? Isobella won't, and you know if anyone here tries to make fun of you for it she'll put them in their place."

Jack chuckled, the mental image of his wife doing that putting him at ease.

"Thanks, Alfie."

Alfie nodded as the wedding march began, and the church doors opened. In walked Isobella, Jack stunned into silence at how beautiful she looked. Once she reached the altar, she and Jack took each other's hands as the priest began his speech.

At last, it was time for their vows. Isobella went first.

"Jack, I know I'm not perfect. I can be vain, petty, and sometimes I just get carried away. I don't know if I can ever get over those qualities, but that's okay. I have you, and you accept me for who I am. I love you Jack, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

Jack paused for a moment to consider his words before speaking.

"Isobella, you list those traits as if they're things to be ashamed of, but I don't see it like that. I see them as things that make you the person you are, and that's the woman I love. I accept you for who you are, and I want to spend my life with you. Isobella, I love you, plain and simple."

Isobella smiled, tears of joy welling up in her eyes.

"Isobella, do you take Jack to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do."

"Jack, do you take Isobella to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"Then by the power invested by me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Jack did exactly that, and everyone cheered.

A/N: And that's it! Thanks so much for all of your support, and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. I'll see you in 2024.
