Castle Loft
Castle POV
Still Storming Outside
"Rick, after hearing my story. I thank you, for not judging me." Brenda thank you; she was happy that someone wasn't thinking she was liar.
"It was no trouble at all. I'm not, going to judge anyone for their past." He is rubbing her back gently. Keeping an eye on her. "Haven't, had the best childhood ever. But, I made it on later on in life. I'm not too disappointed in myself."
"Sometimes, I wonder why parents had me? To even began with?" Lift up her coffee cup, to her lips. Tasting the coffee, made her question everything in her life. Having trouble, figuring out why her own parents hated her so much. "Could have put me; in the orphaned. Have a better family life. Guess, they wanted to torture me instead."
"Guess, their are things in life will never understand. Why, parents feel the need to punish their children for no reason." He gets up and grab them, some more coffee. Got some more, coffee for both of them. Fixing some more, fresh coffee. He grabs some ice cream from the freezer. "My daughter and I, love having ice cream together."
After fixing them; some ice cream and another cup of coffee. He bring it, over to the couch. This is the most conversation, he had every had with a woman. She talked about things, that were very bad to him. That, most women wouldn't talk about. Some of the most uncomfortable and completely awful things happening to them. Brenda was very open; he admitted her. Don't have to bring up; her own personal past. What that, bastard did to her. He had, no right to hurt her like that. But, her parents; like to gave them a piece of his mind. Telling them; what awful parents they were. How they, could treat their daughter like that. Also, knew that it wouldn't change nothing. Made him; feel very sad for her in a lot of ways. But, their was something else there too. She isn't just a victim; but a fighter too. This woman; did a lot from her bad experience. Wanted a career of her own. He don't think, about a detective tonight or even worry about her. He thought, she had her new partner and boyfriend; she don't need him anymore. Had a real detective and boyfriend herself. Now, she no longer needed him; he would put some distance in between them.
Shaking his head; maybe he could help people a different way. Plus, not just the adults; the children as well. Even they need help too. Promise himself; that from now on, no more dangerous police work. He don't have, to try so hard to impress people anymore. Get them; to try to like him just as much. Could have been another problem of his. That, he had gotten in the way one too many times. From this day forward, he would leave the precinct and let the cops do their jobs. He would leave, the detective alone since. She don't want or need him at all. That, really what the detective wanted from him. To leave her alone, not in her words. But, her body language; spoke more volume then her own words. If you, couldn't understand word's; then actions spoke louder then words did. Detective, would always threaten to shot him; every time she saw him. She had made it clear, to him more then once were his role truly was at. That he wasn't a real cop or friend really hurt him a lot. Esposito, wasn't much better either. Sure, he helped with bullying him. Always, wanting to borrow his red sport car Ferrari. He shouldn't have, let anyone uses him.
He was comforting Brenda; she never got mad at him. Neither, would she yell or give him a look like. "What the hell, are you doing?" Look, that Beckett always gave him. Couldn't understand, why she was given him that look. Obviously, she don't like, have men; do anything nice for her. That, was weird usually women; got mad at other men. For, not having any good manners at all. There most, be something really wrong with that. Another problem, she most have been not uses to have men do anything for her. What kind of men; was she uses to dating. Supermodel, Cops and maybe other different men. If, that's what she wanted then. It was time, to let her go, along with the whole 12,th precinct. That would, be next move and no more police work. You! Don't have to just help the police force. Always, different ways to help people. How about being a crisis counselor. Know that, their people out there, young and old. Who always needed good people to listen to their problems. Totally completely different for him; but he had always loved a challenge. Maybe, this will be good for him. That could, really help people who need help badly.
"What has you? So, deep in thought." Her hand; is rubbing his arm too. "You're so very sweet. Some people; wouldn't help out defenseless woman in trouble." Had tears in her eyes; her tears are falling down her face. "Just told you. About my past, their something about you. Couldn't help, but open up to you. Make me feel better about myself."
"I'm happy to listen to you. I try, to be a gentleman." He gave her a tissue. She blew her nose; into the Kleenex. He goes, to get her a glass of water. She most have, been carrying around this pain a long time. Since nobody cared about her pain. What had happened to her. He felt sorry for her. Maybe, he could help her; get a good Therapist. It wouldn't hurt, to talk to a professional at all.
"Haven't talk or told anyone; about my life story. Most of all, my problems about my family and past relationships with other men." She drank her glass of water. That, made her feel a little better on the inside. Still had problems with trusting people. However, she is working on that. Not, everyone is like her terrible parents and townspeople.
