Caven sat at the top of a platform, keeping her eyes peeled on the net covering the entrance to the crystallized tunnel. Any second, they'll come. I know they'll come.
The anti-personnel squad just had to hold off the Scouts for a bit longer. Then Kenny's dream will be realized.
She recalled the lightning blast, and the cave darkening.
She shook the thought. Caven had shot the boy. He wouldn't be a threat anymore. All they had to do was keep the scouts at bay a little longer, and then they would be victorious.
Caven's eyes saw a blonde speck approach from behind the net. Her allies were about to shoot but she raised her hand.
It was that boy. The boy she had shot twice now.
She knew she should just shoot him, but they couldn't take the chance of him activating his strange lightning ability. I just need to buy enough time!
"Who are you?!" Her voice echoed through the cave. While it was just a ploy to buy time, she couldn't help wondering, "I've shot you twice now, and yet here you stand!"
The boy raised his left hand. His sleeve already folded to his elbow, he removed a bandage from his forearm. It revealed a large purple mark, a dozen or so thick lines inscribed under the image of a majestic bird. The boy began his speech, "I was told to cover this mark, for it would reveal who I truly am!" His voice boomed, "This mark would tell you I am the son of Jupiter, the Predator of the first legion, and one of the strongest demi-gods to ever live!"
He rebandaged his mark, "But, this is not who I am. Not here."
His electric blue eyes caught a hold of Caven, and never let go, "My name is Jason Grace! A member of scouts under Captain Levi's command! I am here today to avenge my mentor Nifa! To save my friends Eren and Historia! And to honor my comrades' wishes!" Caven didn't know when the boy took it out, but he flipped a golden coin into the air. He's behind the net! Caven kept reminding herself. There's no way…
"Anyone who gets in my way…" Instead of a coin, a golden spear, about two meters long, fell into the palm of his hand. "Will feel the wrath of MY LIGHTING!"
Before Caven could order someone to shoot him, he slammed the spear into the ground. Cracking the crystal at its base, blue sparks of lightning exploded from the boy's feet. Lightning the size of half a city street shot up from the cave's entrance, melting the metal net in the process.
The cave dimmed once again, but Caven couldn't focus on any of it. All she could feel was the millions of volts of lightning coursing through her veins.
She couldn't even yell from the pain.
