Sad news
March 21st 2002,
Apulia, Italy.
Life in school wasn't easy. After many classworks, tests and queries Gabriel was wondering how he managed himself to survive.
He still had to improve in math but he wasn't worried about that. Spring break was about to start. The weather was getting warm and Gabriel could finally plan his walks along the seashore with his friend Carlo.
It was the evening of the first day of spring when his after Enzo came back to work with a small pile of letters;
"Bill... bill... bill... advertising... mortgage loan..."
His father was looking at a small letter withe blue and red stripes.
"Hey Ann..."
"What is it?"
"There's a letter from your brother Giovanni!"
"Really?"
Annabella took the letter... it really was from Giovanni.
She opened the letter and read the message.
Suddenly her face turned sad.
"What is it?" Enzo asked.
"Giovanni... this January he got sick!"
"You mean he's about to die?"
"No... no... he's fine now, the doctor cured him!"
"So what was that sad face?"
"The doctor cured Giovanni but he advised him against long journeys."
"You mean..."
Gabriel had a bad feeling.
"Yes, he's not going to come in Italy this summer!"
Gabriel felt sorry to hear that news, even his brother Danny felt the same.
That never happened before.
The year 2002 would be remembered as the year which Giovanni never came to Italy.
