A matter of glances

It was a bear, a big bear.

He was wearing an armor, a helmet and an electric collar probably used to tame him.

He had an aggressive look on his face, his eyes were wide and his grin showed numerous sharp teeth.

His coat was reddish and his ears big and fluffy.

"Come on Doomsday, attack!" Yang Di ordered.

The bear was standing still looking at the two kids.

Yang Di showed a remote control.

"I order you to attack!" he said pressing a red button on the remote control.

There was an electric sound. The beast roared.

"Rawl!"

He seemed bothered by the electric shock.

He quickly attacked Danny with his big paw. Danny flew few feet away before landing on the sandy ground. Thankfully his armor absorbed the impact. Meanwhile he lost his stick.

Yang Di laughed satisfied. All the guys in the arena did the same.

The beast picked the kid with his paws. He shook Danny like a rattle then he removed his helmet. He look at Danny's face for a while then he returned to shake him.

"Put your hands away from my brother, you beast!" Gabriel said attacking the beast with the stick he quickly picked up from the ground.

The stick broke up and the beast attacked Gabriel with his tail.

Gabriel flew away for some meters then he noticed Doomsday's tail. It was very big, long, reddish and fluffy.

The beast was still shaking his brother. He had to do something.

Without losing any time Gabriel climbed on the beast's body trying to reach his brother. He would free him from his grasp.

Doomsday managed to get grid of Gabriel even this time. With his paw Gabriel fell on the ground once more. Doomsday seemed let Danny go, this time his attention was focused on Gabriel.

Exactly what he did with Danny Doomsday picked Gabriel from the ground. He shook him a bit then he removed his helmet showing his face.

Gabriel's eyes met Doomsday's one.

Something strange happened.

Suddenly the aggressive look disappeared from Doomsday face.

He was looking at Gabriel in a strange way.

Gabriel just couldn't understand what was going on.

Why Doomsday was looking at him like that?

Even the guys assisting in the arena seemed confused.

Doomsday was just staring at him. His face was like he was looking at something... interesting.

He stomped his paw multiple times on the ground.

"Awoooga!" he screamed.

"What?" Gabriel seemed confused.

Doomsday grabbed Gabriel with both his paws and opened his big mouth.

He was about to eat him.

"Danny! Danny!" he screamed.

"Do something, he's eating me!"

"Gabriel!" Danny screamed.

Danny had to save his brother, but how?

What he was supposed to do?

"No Doomsday, don't eat him!"

Yang Di was abpout to press the red bottom again when suddenly a black sphere fell on the arena.

Immediately a white smoke came out of it.

Soon more spheres arrived and more smoke came out of them.

"What's going on?" Yang Di said.

"It's sleeping gas!" someone answered before falling asleep.

Some other guy announced.

"Boss, the police, they found us!"

"Police found us? How can it be? We blurred the map!"

All the guys in the arena soon fell asleep.

Doomsday roared. The sleeping gas was really bothering him.

Without losing any time he escaped from the arena by breaking the glass ceiling with a couple of jumps.

His helmet, his armor and also his collar fell on the ground for some reason.

"Doomsday… cough… cough… where are you going? Come back… cough cough… here…."

Yang Di fell asleep.

Before losing consciousness Gabriel could see some guys wearing an armor and a mask gas saying: "Arrest all the members of the clan and free all the hostages!".
