End of an adventure
"Chinese clan of bandits busted once again!"
That was the headline of the Toronto's newspaper.
Giovanni was carefully cutting out the article. Once finished he framed it in an elegant frame and mounted on the wall.
"What an adventure!" he said.
"Yup!" Gabriel answered.
"You know, I was afraid when I lost you in the mall! I immediately suspected that you had been kidnapped by the Dragoon clan and I contacted Annalisa and she contacted Antonella!"
"It was a luck we found you really soon, I was afraid that would took several days despite the tracking chip we put in your cellular phones. You know, the police department has a satellite map to localize some areas in Toronto but the Chinatown section is completely blurred!"
"A chip in our phones?" Gabriel asked.
"Yeah, it was a precaution. I feared something like that would have happened!"
"So how did you find us so quickly?" Danny asked.
"We had a fluke, a Chinese woman helped us! You know only Chinese know other Chinese people. This woman knows everything about the clan."
"A Chinese woman helped you?" Gabriel said incredulous.
"Yeah, it sounds incredible but she said she was looking for Yang Di since he kidnapped her daughter!"
The story was kinds strange, there weren't any girls in Yang Di's lair as Gabriel could remember.
Gabriel was the only one to remember what happened in the lair. The sleeping gas damaged everyone's memory, even Danny couldn't remember anything once he woke up in the hospital.
It was a side effect of the gas, they said.
"What's the woman's name anyway?" Danny asked.
"I don't know but it doesn't matter. What matters is that you are safe and sound like all the other hostages and that Yang Di is in prison with his father!"
"Exactly!" Joey said.
"Dinner's ready!" Francesca announced.
"Come on boys, let's eat, I'm sure we won't hear about Yang Di and his clan any more!"
"I can't wait to tell our mother about this adventure!" Gabriel said.
"No Gabriel, please make me a favour, don't tell to your parents this story. If they know you were in danger the won't allow you to turn back here any more and you won't visit me any more! And I'll be sorry!"
"Right!" Gabriel said.
After finishing to eat dinner, spaghetti with carbonara sauce, Danny and Gabriel went to bed.
"Now you can go to visit Chinatown if you want!How about to try a Chinese restaurant! They're good!" Giovanni said.
"No thanks!" Gabriel answered.
After that misadventure Gabriel wished not to see any Chinese guy for a while.
