"Another soul to be claimed." The Shinigami said darkly as he looked at the young boy below him.
The strong stench of blood he had smelt wasn't new to him in the least, but he could say it's been a while since he'd seen so many dead bodies in one place.
It was quite sad really. A beloved brother who he thought he could trust, ended up murdering his whole clan..well him and another, but he wasn't focused on him.
After stabbing his sword through his little brother's chest, Itachi Uchiha coldly left him for dead in his own puddle of blood. He even used his Mangekyo Sharingan's ability, Tsukuyomi, on him. Making him relive the massacre for 72 hours.
It was definitely evil..one of the coldest things the Shinigami had witnessed.
But such was the way of life.
Snakes tended to hide within your own family these days.
'Oh? What is this??' The Shinigami thought as he could see purple Aura enveloping Sasuke Uchiha's body.
His eyes widened slightly as he realized what was happening.
He let out a small chuckle. It seems like he wasn't needed here anymore. Hm..he may as well leave a small gift for the young one.
The Shinigami held his hand out towards Sasuke's body, and bright blue energy shot out from it. It fused with the purple energy and both entered Sasuke's body.
The Shinigami nodded.
"It is finished." He said. It's going to be interesting watching how he improves and moves forward.
The Shinigami smirked. He was sure he would see Itachi Uchiha real soon.
He let out a chuckle as he disappeared.

'Scavenge? Recycle? What do these terms even mean??' Sasuke thought with confusion. His Aunt and Uncle were most definitely not trash and he was annoyed that whatever this was called them that.

His curiosity needed to be satiated. He quickly said his apologies and a prayer to his Aunt and Uncle. He then said 'Yes.'
Suddenly the space around him was ripped open and large purple skeletal-like hands reached out and grabbed Uruchi and Teyaki. (Similar to his skeletal Susanoo.) The hands then pulled their corpses into the dark black space.
It..almost scared him shitless. Almost.

Well that answered that question in his mind. Wasn't a Shinigami a Death God? He wondered when he had appeared..had to be whenever he was out. He was surprised that the Shinigami actually 'chose' him. He wondered why.
He assumed this 'Scavenger' job allowed him to recycle things and doing so allowed him to gain rewards in a sense.

He looked around at all the dead Uchiha bodies and a light flashed in his head.
He would use their strength and power to do what's right. He will be unlike his older b-Itachi, but he will definitely make Itachi pay for what he did.

Sasuke wiped the tears from his eyes as he stared at the places his parents just were. He tried to hold it in..but the tears fell on their own as he seen their dead faces.
This would definitely be the last time he cried for a while.
He scavenged all of the Uchiha members bodies and acquired different skills, items, and rewards.
It was fulfilling in a way, but now he definitely needed air. He decided to walk to the cliff above the Naka River.
Once Sasuke reached the cliff, he closed his eyes as the cold yet comforting breeze settled on his skin. It helped clear his mind of all the thoughts that built up. He then opened his eyes to peer down at the river.
"What?" He questioned as the more than familiar blue letters popped up.

So this is where Shisui died, but Itachi said that he died in a mission..
Sasuke decided to use one of the skills he recently acquired to figure out the truth.
"Use Passive Skill Veracity. How exactly did Shisui die?" Sasuke asked as he used the skill.
[Itachi Uchiha was working with Danzo to kill all of the Uchiha. The Coup de tat was used as a disguise for the real truth. The lividness that grew into Sasuke at that was astronomical.
His fist clenched tight and he grit his teeth.
Shisui..was like another brother to them and Itachi killed him too?? Shisui definitely didn't deserve the betrayal or death.
The Gamer's Mind skill quickly calmed him down. He released a heavy breath.

Sasuke nodded as he finished getting everything together. He walked to his bathroom to give himself a once over.
He had the Shinigami's attire equipped but he tweaked it a bit and added the Uchiha Clan's fan on the back of it.
Overall it suited him and he thought it looked good.
Before he left though, he wanted to do one last thing to honor his clan.

"Sasuke-kun?! Is that you?!" Ino yelled with surprise and shock at the fact that he was still alive.
Sasuke understood her reaction. After all it had been like a day or so and word did get around fast.
He was considered K.I.A. well..in a child's sense.
"Ino.." He said as he approached the front counter.
Right now he was in the Yamanaka Flower Shop.
He was here to get multiple flowers for the 'makeshift' funeral he would have.
Interestingly enough, Ino looked like his 'death' had really impacted her in a negative way.
To the point she had ran around the front counter and was now hugging him tightly and shedding tears.
It surprised him considering he only thought of her as a fangirl and didn't think she actually felt anything real towards him.
"I'm..glad you're alive Sasuke-kun.." Ino said with sincerity and honesty.
Sasuke could say he was actually..thankful to hear that. He wondered if his 'death' had any other effects on anyone else.
As awkward as hugging was for him, he managed to soothingly rub her back.
"I appreciate that Ino, but..can you keep me being alive a secret? I plan on leaving the Leaf Village." He replied.
Ino's eyes widened at that. "What? But why??"
"I want to explore the Elemental Nations..and get stronger whilst doing so." He replied.
Ino disappointedly glanced down at that, but then an idea came inside of her mind.
"What if..I came with you?" She asked hopefully.
Sasuke raised an eyebrow in confusion at that. "What about your family? Wouldn't they feel some type of way if you left?"
He noticed how her expression changed to one of lividness and dejection.
"Well I doubt they would feel any bad if I was gone, considering how I get spit on and abused every day."
Sasuke's eyes slightly widened at that.
He never knew Ino was treated that badly by her family and would've never had guessed she was being abused.
Ino then smiled weakly as she held back tears. "Why would I want to stay at a place I'm considered as nothing and as a mistake?"
He could say he felt empathetic towards her.
'I can tell that she needs strength and someone strong and reliable by her side..I don't see anything wrong with her coming. I'll protect her.' Sasuke thought with finality.
He then peered into Ino's eyes. "Pack your things and everything you need. After meet me at the Uchiha Compound. We're leaving tonight."
Ino's face brightened up by the hundreds at that and she smiled widely.
"Okay Sasuke-kun!"

"GAH!"
A young girl painfully screamed as she was kicked hard into a tree.
"HaHa how's it feel to be discarded like trash by your own clan? I almost feel pity." A man evilly laughed at her.
From the slit in his headband, anyone could tell that he was a missing ninja.
Unfortunately the young girl, Hinata Hyuga, came in contact with him at the worse possible time of her life.

Useless
Fragile
Nugatory
And much more were the words that rang in her head from her former clan members as she was kicked out.
She still remembers the cold,ruthless,and straight faced expression of her Father.
It deepened the hole in her already voided heart.
"You're lucky we even let you leave with clothes on your back..be thankful."
Those were the last words she heard from her Father.
"It was your destiny to be exiled from the Hyuga Clan. Weaklings don't belong here."
Those were the last words from her cousin Neji Hyuga.
"Your little sister will perform much greater than you ever will."

Hinata's thoughts immediately paused as she heard the sound of a belt buckle.
"Yknow since we're in these woods by ourselves and no one is coming to save you..how about I give you what your clan never did haha?" A malignant smirk graced the missing Ninja's face as he slowly approached Hinata with his pants unzipped.
Hinata was petrified and scared as she found herself unable to move. She couldn't stop the tears from falling from her eyes as the man walked towards her.
'T-This is it huh?? T-they were r-right I'm r-really am w-weak.' She thought with sorrow.
Her eyes tightly shut closed as she faced the inevitable.
"Don't worry, I'll make it qu-" The man was interrupted by a heavy pressure.

Ino yelled her name again and Sasuke walked to her himself. He equipped an item from his inventory.
"Here take this." He said as he held a small medium sized bottle her way. It was filled with some type of green liquid. "It's a healing potion and it will completely heal you."
Ino grabbed the potion for Hinata and then slowly poured it in her mouth.
As she was doing that, Sasuke turned around and faced the Missing Ninja.
"You.." He started as he looked the shaking bastard over. "words can't explain how filth like you don't deserve to live."
The Missing Ninja was frozen in place by the Paralyze effect and couldn't say or do anything.
A dark and deadly smirk graced Sasuke's face. "I know exactly what to do with you."
-Ino and Hinata pov-
"How could they just throw you away like that Hinata?" Ino asked as she felt sad for her. She and Hinata were acquaintances at best, but Hinata was nice and friendly. She definitely didn't deserve that.
The healing potion completely healed and rejuvenated Hinata. Her eyes were bloodshot red from the tears as she hugged Ino.
"B-because I'm w-weak and u-useless." She stuttered out quietly and despondently.
"Hinata.." Ino paused as she tightly hugged Hinata back. She could definitely empathize with Hinata because she felt the same way about her family as well. It was crazy how similar the two actually were.
'Maybe she can come with Sasuke-kun and I.'
The sudden thought made her temporarily pause and a slow smile appeared on her face.
"How about you come with us Hinata?"
Hinata's head snapped up towards Ino at the unexpected suggestion.
Ino gave her a nod. "Sasuke-kun will take care of us for sure. Plus we can get stronger as well..so no one can call us weak anymore." She said with support.
Hinata thought about it.
At this point she literally had nothing to lose.
She didn't have a family anymore.
Her pride as a Kunoichi was almost nonexistent.
Plus her dignity was teetering on the edge of a broken heart.
But there was one problem though..
"W-what if he s-says no?"
After all she of course knew of Sasuke, but they had never talked with each other before.
To be honest she'd never thought about it and even if she did, she would've never got past his massive fangirl base.
Ino was about to say something, until they heard his voice.
"I won't. As a matter of fact I welcome you with open arms. I know we haven't really talked before-" Sasuke held his hands out to them. "but let's change that."
Ino warmly smiled at him and accepted his hand with ease. He lifted her up.
Hinata had a thoughtful look on her face and then it turned into a small smile.
"A-alright Sasuke-san." She replied as she accepted his hand and he lifted her up.
"Um Sasuke-kun.." Ino started as she looked at him.
Sasuke gave her a curious expression.
"What happened to that creepy guy?" She asked with curiosity. Hinata was curious herself too.
"Let's just say there's a lot of creative and imaginative things you can do with Genjutsu." He said subtly...

"So where are we going first Sasuke-kun?" Ino asked as she walked beside him, Hinata was on his other side.
"To the Sound Village." He replied as he looked at the window in front of him.

Sasuke knew she was telling the truth because she didn't stutter and she even added the new honorific.
He made sure to grab Ino's hand too so she didn't feel left out. She gently squeezed his hand back and the three continued walking.

The three set up camp because it was starting to get dark and cold outside.
"I'll be back Sasuke-kun and Ino-chan. I'm going to get some more wood." Hinata said as she started to walk away.
"Hinata.." Sasuke paused as his expression turned serious.
Hinata immediately understood his response and activated her Byakugans.

"Well I'll be you're right. If we sell his Sharingan eyes and her Byakugan eyes we'll be filthy rich!"
"What are we waiting for? Let's kill these ki-"

The Robber's throat was slit and blood squirted profusely from his neck.
"One down." Sasuke's eyes narrowed at the man he just killed.
"Kosuu! You will pay for that!!" One of the Robbers yelled and slashed a dagger at Sasuke's neck.
"Leave Sasuke-kun alone!" Ino yelled as she grabbed a Kunai and stabbed it into his neck. He yelled out with pain and stopped his attack.
"You bitch!!" A Robber yelled and attempted to grab Ino's hair.
"HA!" Hinata yelled and pressed a certain pressure point on the man's neck and he immediately fell down, dead.
She paused temporarily and looked down at the dead body.
This actually wasn't her first time killing someone..
-Flashback-
Hanabi hugged Hinata tightly as she continued crying.
"T-thank you s-so m-much big s-sister."
Hinata stood frozen as she looked at the dead body of one of her clan's members.
'I-I just killed s-someone..' She thought as she shook slowly. She felt sick.
But it was the right thing to do right? After all the man had tried to touch her little sister in the worst of ways..

It actually didn't take her long to come to terms with the action. A lot of people thought since she was 'shy and sweet' she hadn't killed anyone, but that was not the case.
Her eye twitched and she dodged the punches of two of the Robbers.

Their heads went flying as Sasuke sliced them off with his tanto.

'This i-is my first time killing someone..but it was for the right reason right?' She thought emotionlessly.
After all the men attacked and tried to rob them first..
But that ignorant consequence cost them their lives.
She felt two hands on her shoulders and looked to see Sasuke and Hinata giving her looks of understanding.
She smiled back at them, signaling that she was alright.
"Let's loot their corpses, see what they have." Sasuke said and the two nodded.
He went to the two men in front of him.

Hinata smiled with satisfaction as she tightly gripped the two daggers.
It felt like she'd been using them forever.
She slowly turned her head to look at the surprised expressions of Sasuke and Ino.
Hinata giggled as she knew what they were thinking.
"Wow Hinata-chan, you're amazing!" Ino complimented.
"I agree. That was impressive." Sasuke followed with a grin.
