Meet the Woodpeckers!
(AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is the debut of Knothead and Splinter Woodpecker, as well as their aunt Winnie Woodpecker. Woody's mother, Wanda Woodpecker, makes a return in this episode.)
Narrator: Last time, Faith was tricked into being friends with Daruka the Eeveekyu, her evil sister, as her Deoxys brainwashed her into getting her memories erased. Now that her memories are erased, she'll have to survive for the rest of her life, or at least until her mind gets back on track, without zoning out.)
[Woody the Woodpecker sits perched atop a lamppost in Castelia City, engrossed in his phone. Suddenly, a notification appears—a video message from his family. He eagerly taps on it and the screen flickers to life with the faces of Wanda, Knothead, and Splinter.]
Wanda: Woody! How's life in the big city?
Knothead: Hey, Uncle Woody! We miss you!
Splinter: Yeah, when are you coming back to visit us in the forest?
Woody: Hey there, guys! I miss you too. Things have been pretty busy here.
[As Woody chats with his family, Mordecai, passing by, overhears the conversation and pauses, recognizing Woody.]
Mordecai: Woody? Is that you?
Woody: Mordecai! Hey! Long time no see!
Mordecai: What are you doing here in Castelia City?
Woody: Just enjoying the sights, you know? Hey, have you met my nephews, Knothead and Splinter?
[Mordecai's eyes widen in surprise as he looks from Woody to the screen on his phone, realization dawning.]
Mordecai: Wait... you're an uncle?
Woody: Yup! Just like Moose with Bruce. Say hi, boys!
Knothead and Splinter: Hi, Mordecai!
Mordecai: Wow, I had no idea! That's awesome, Woody.
[Woody grins proudly, feeling a swell of warmth in his heart at Mordecai's reaction.]
Woody: Thanks, Mordecai. Maybe we can all hang out sometime. It'll be a family reunion!
[Mordecai nods eagerly, already envisioning the fun times they'll have together.]
Mordecai: Count me in, Woody. It'll be great to catch up and introduce you to Moose and Bruce.
[With a shared smile, Woody and Mordecai make plans for the reunion, looking forward to the chance to strengthen their bonds of friendship and family.]

Faith: [reading the title] "Meet the Woodpeckers!"
[The scene opens in the vibrant streets of Opelucid City, where the hustle and bustle of city life fills the air. Woody the Woodpecker, accompanied by his friends Faith the Eevee, Sharon the Eevee, Mordecai, Rigby, and the Warners—Yakko, Wakko, Dot, and their mother Dorothy-Ann—wander through the colorful crowds, their eyes wide with wonder.]
Woody: (excitedly) Wow, Opelucid City sure is amazing! Look at all the high-tech gadgets and bustling energy!
Faith: (nodding in agreement) It's so different from the forest back home. Everything here is so... futuristic!
Mordecai: (chuckling) Yeah, it's like stepping into a whole new world.
Rigby: (grinning) I wonder what kind of cool stuff we'll find here!
Yakko: (rubbing his hands together) Oh, I can't wait to explore! Maybe we'll discover some hidden gems or secret passages!
Dot: (rolling her eyes) Oh, please. You just want to find more snacks, don't you?
Wakko: (nodding eagerly) Yeah, snacks!
[As the group continues their exploration of Opelucid City, Woody's keen eyes suddenly catch sight of a familiar flash of red amidst the crowd.]
Woody: (excitedly) Wait a minute... is that...?
[With a burst of energy, Woody darts through the crowd, his friends following close behind. As they round a corner, they come face to face with Woody's family—Wanda Woodpecker, Knothead, and Splinter.]
Wanda: (beaming) Woody, my darling son! It's so wonderful to see you!
Knothead: (bounding forward) Hey, Uncle Woody! Long time no see!
Splinter: (grinning mischievously) Yeah, we missed you, Uncle Woody!
Woody: (overwhelmed with emotion) Mom, Knothead, Splinter! I can't believe you're all here!
[The air is filled with joyous laughter and chatter as Woody introduces his family to his friends. Mordecai and Rigby exchange grins with Knothead and Splinter, bonding over their shared love of adventure and mischief.]
Mordecai: (clapping Knothead on the back) Hey there, little buddy! Looks like we've got another troublemaker in the group!
Knothead: (grinning) You bet, Mordecai! Let's stir up some trouble together!
Rigby: (excitedly) Oh man, this is gonna be epic!
[Meanwhile, Faith and Sharon watch with curiosity, their tails wagging with excitement as they observe the lively reunion.]
Faith: (smiling) They seem like such a close-knit family.
Sharon: (nodding) Yeah, it's nice to see them all together like this.
[As the sun begins to set, casting a warm glow over the city, Woody and his family lead their friends to a nearby park, where they settle down for a picnic under the twinkling stars.]
Yakko: (digging into a sandwich) Ah, nothing like a good old-fashioned picnic!
Dot: (rolling her eyes) Yeah, if by "old-fashioned" you mean "chaotic and unpredictable."
Wakko: (grinning) Hey, chaos is our middle name!
[As the group laughs and jokes together, they share stories and memories late into the night, forging bonds of friendship and family that will last a lifetime.]
[The scene transitions to a cozy tree hollow nestled high in the branches of a towering oak tree. Winnie the Woodpecker, clad in her soft, fluffy nightgown, sits beside her loyal Talonflame companion, their feathers shimmering in the moonlight filtering through the leaves.]
Winnie: (contentedly) Ah, what a peaceful night it is, Talonflame. The rustle of the leaves, the gentle hoots of the nocturnal Pokémon... it's all so calming.
[Talonflame trills softly in agreement, its fiery wings glowing softly in the darkness as it nestles closer to Winnie. Together, they share a quiet moment of companionship, the bond between them strong and unbreakable.]
Winnie: (smiling) You know, Talonflame, there's something truly magical about the night. It's as if the whole world is holding its breath, waiting for the dawn to break and bring with it a new day of adventure.
[Talonflame lets out a melodic chirp, its eyes reflecting the shimmering stars above as it gazes fondly at Winnie.]
Winnie: (gently) Oh, how I treasure these moments with you, my dear friend. In the stillness of the night, surrounded by nature's beauty, I feel truly at peace.
[Woody the Woodpecker, clad in his orange pajama shirt and pants, perches on a nearby branch, a curious expression on his face as he addresses Winnie.]
Woody: Hi, Winnie. You never told me you slept in trees.
[Winnie the Woodpecker turns to greet Woody, a warm smile spreading across her face as she welcomes her fellow avian friend.]
Winnie: Oh, hello there, Woody! Yes, I find that sleeping in a tree hollow is quite cozy and peaceful. It's like having my own little nest in the sky.
[Talonflame, Winnie's faithful companion, lets out a soft trill of greeting, its fiery wings flickering in the moonlight as it gazes at Woody with curiosity.]
Woody: (chuckling) Well, I must say, it suits you! I've always admired your connection to nature.
[As the two woodpeckers chat, their voices mingling with the whispers of the wind and the rustle of leaves, a sense of camaraderie fills the air.]
Winnie: Thank you, Woody. Nature has always been a source of comfort and inspiration for me.
[With a shared smile, Woody and Winnie settle in for the night, their tree hollow bathed in the soft glow of moonlight. As they drift off to sleep, the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant call of nocturnal Pokémon lull them into a peaceful slumber, their friendship binding them together in the embrace of the night.]
[The next morning dawns bright and clear, the first rays of sunlight filtering through the leaves of the towering oak tree. Woody and Winnie emerge from their cozy tree hollow, refreshed and ready to greet the day.]
Woody: (stretching his wings) Ah, what a beautiful morning!
Winnie: (smiling) Indeed it is, Woody. There's nothing quite like the feeling of the sun on your feathers.
[Talonflame flutters down from its perch above, its fiery wings ablaze with the warmth of the morning light.]
Talonflame: (chirping happily) Talonflame!
Woody: Good morning, Talonflame! Ready for another day of adventure?
[Talonflame lets out a cheerful trill in response, its eyes sparkling with excitement as it flits around Winnie and Woody.]
Winnie: I think Talonflame is always ready for adventure, aren't you, my friend?
Talonflame: (nodding eagerly) Talonflame!
[With a shared laugh, the trio sets off into the forest, the promise of a new day filling them with anticipation and joy. Together, they explore the winding paths and hidden glades, their laughter echoing through the trees as they revel in the beauty of nature.]
Woody: You know, Winnie, I think I could get used to this tree-dwelling lifestyle.
Winnie: (grinning) I'm glad to hear it, Woody. You're welcome to visit anytime.
Woody: Who's up for a day at sea?
Faith, Mordecai, Sharon, and Winnie: We are!
[The scene opens on a picturesque stretch of coastline along the shores of Unova, where the azure waters of the ocean sparkle under the bright sun. Woody the Woodpecker, Winnie the Woodpecker, Mordecai, Sharon (Faith's mother), and Faith stand on the sandy beach, a sense of excitement palpable in the air as they prepare to embark on a day of relaxation and adventure.]
Woody: Ah, what a perfect day to be out at sea!
Winnie: I couldn't agree more, Woody. The ocean always has a way of rejuvenating the spirit.
Mordecai: And it's the perfect opportunity to take a break from our busy schedules and just enjoy the beauty of nature.
Sharon: I couldn't have said it better myself, Mordecai. Sometimes, we all need a little time to unwind and recharge.
Faith: (excitedly) I can't wait to feel the ocean breeze on my feathers! Let's set sail!
[With a chorus of agreement, the group makes their way to a nearby dock, where a sleek sailboat awaits them, its white sails billowing in the gentle breeze. Together, they board the boat and set out onto the open water, the salty spray of the ocean filling the air as they chart a course for adventure.]
Woody: (grinning) Here we go, everyone! Time to leave our worries on the shore and let the sea set us free!
Winnie: (clasping her wings together) To new horizons and endless possibilities!
Mordecai: (raising a fist in the air) And to unforgettable memories with friends and family!
Sharon: (smiling) Let's make today a day to remember, filled with laughter, joy, and the boundless beauty of the ocean.
Faith: (beaming) I'm ready for anything, as long as I'm with all of you!
Mordecai: (adjusting his floral-print swim shorts) And I've got just the outfit for the occasion! Floral prints are totally in this season.
Sharon: (smiling) You look great, Mordecai! And Faith, your blue one-piece swim dress is absolutely stunning.
Faith: (blushing) Thanks, Mom! I wanted to wear something special for our day out on the water.
[With smiles and laughter, the group makes their way to the awaiting sailboat, the salty breeze of the ocean filling the air with excitement. As they board the boat and set sail, the sun dances on the waves, casting a golden glow over the scene.]
Woody: (steering the boat) Here we go, everyone! Adventure awaits!
Winnie: (clinging to the railing) Woo-hoo! I can feel the wind in my feathers already!
Mordecai: (admiring the view) Look at that ocean! It stretches as far as the eye can see.
Sharon: (sitting back and relaxing) This is exactly what we needed—a chance to unwind and enjoy each other's company.
As the sailboat cut through the waves, Woody the Woodpecker couldn't shake the feeling of unease gnawing at him. Dark clouds loomed ominously on the horizon, and the wind carried a faint hint of tension.
Woody: (furrowing his brow) Guys, I don't like the look of those clouds. I think there might be a storm brewing.
Mordecai: (leaning against the railing) Ah, don't worry, Woody. It's probably just a passing shower. We'll be fine.
Winnie: (gripping the railing tightly) I'm not so sure, Mordecai. The wind seems to be picking up.
Sharon: (squinting at the horizon) I think Woody might be right. Maybe we should turn back.
But before anyone could respond, the sky darkened further, and a deafening clap of thunder echoed across the ocean. The wind howled, and rain began to pelt down in torrents, soaking them to the bone.
Mordecai: (shouting over the roar of the storm) Okay, maybe this is more than just a passing shower!
Woody: (struggling to keep control of the boat) Hang on, everyone! We need to batten down the hatches and ride out this storm!
With a sense of urgency, they scrambled to secure the sails and hunker down below deck, seeking refuge from the fury of the tempest raging outside.
Faith: (clinging to her mother) I'm scared, Mom!
Sharon: (stroking Faith's fur soothingly) It's okay, sweetheart. We're all in this together. Just hold on tight.
As the storm raged on, tossing their boat like a mere plaything on the angry seas, Woody couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for not heeding his instincts earlier. But amidst the chaos, there was also a sense of camaraderie—a bond forged in adversity, as they clung to each other for support and comfort.
As the storm finally began to subside, the weary travelers emerged from below deck, relieved to find themselves battered but still afloat. However, their relief was short-lived as they realized the boat was being pulled inexorably towards a nearby island, shrouded in mist and mystery.
Woody: (peering through the rain-soaked mist) What's that up ahead?
Mordecai: (squinting) Looks like an island... but it wasn't on our map.
Winnie: (clasping her wings together nervously) I hope it's not some kind of haunted island!
Before anyone could voice their concerns, a sudden jolt rocked the boat, sending them tumbling to the deck as it crashed against the sandy shore of the mysterious island.
Sharon: (clinging to Faith) Is everyone okay?
Faith: (shaking off the shock) I-I think so...
Woody: Well, it looks like we're not going anywhere for a while. Might as well see what this island has to offer.
With a mixture of trepidation and curiosity, they disembarked from the damaged boat and ventured onto the deserted island. The air was thick with humidity, and the sounds of unfamiliar Pokémon cries echoed through the dense foliage.
Mordecai: This place gives me the creeps...
Winnie: (trying to sound optimistic) Maybe it's not so bad. We could use this opportunity to explore and maybe even discover something amazing!
As they ventured deeper into the island, they stumbled upon a hidden cove, its sandy beach lapped by the crystal-clear waters of the ocean. Despite the circumstances, there was a sense of tranquility and beauty that washed over them—a reminder that even in the face of adversity, there is always hope.
Sharon: Look, everyone! It's beautiful!
Faith: (gazing out at the shimmering sea) Maybe this isn't such a bad place after all...
Woody: Agreed. Maybe we can make the best of our time here and turn it into an adventure!
Faith: (excitedly) I'm going to go explore, guys! I'll be back soon!
Sharon: Be careful, Faith. We don't know what dangers might be lurking on this island.
Woody: And watch out for any wild Pokémon. They might not take kindly to visitors.
[With a nod of understanding, Faith set off into the dense jungle foliage, her heart pounding with excitement. She followed a narrow path that wound its way through the thick undergrowth, the vibrant colors and unfamiliar sounds of the island filling her senses.
As she ventured deeper into the heart of the island, Faith encountered all manner of Pokémon, from colorful Butterfree fluttering through the trees to playful Pikipek pecking at the ground. She marveled at the diversity of life on the island, each new discovery filling her with wonder and awe.
But as she rounded a bend in the path, Faith stumbled upon something unexpected—a hidden clearing, bathed in dappled sunlight and surrounded by towering palm trees. In the center of the clearing stood a majestic Alolan Exeggutor, its long necks reaching up to the sky in a graceful arc.]
Faith: (gasping) Wow, it's beautiful...
{Faith sees two Toucannon, a male Toucannon and a female Toucannon.}
Faith: What are those? [pulls out her Rotom Phone]
[Faith's Rotom Phone chimes]
Faith's Rotom Phone: "Toucannon, the Cannon Pokémon. A Normal and Flying type. Toucannon's beak heats up during battle, which burns at over 212 degrees Fahrenheit. A pair of Toucannon are considered to be symbols of companionship and use their beaks to communicate with one another."
Faith: They're such good friends. Hello there.
Toucannon: Toucannon!
(The Toucannon wave their wings, saying "hello" to the cute Eevee girl.)
Knothead: (grinning) Check out my new swim shorts, Splinter! Pretty stylish, huh?
Knothead twirled around, showing off his vibrant swim shorts adorned with a playful pattern of tropical fruits and palm trees.
Splinter: (giggling) They look great, Knothead! But wait until you see my swim dress.
Splinter struck a pose, revealing her one-piece swim dress with a flouncy skirt that covered the leg-holes, creating a cute and fashionable look.
Knothead: Wow, Splinter, you look amazing! That dress is perfect for a day at the beach.
Splinter: Thanks, Knothead! I thought it would be fun to try something different.
Woody: Hey, kids. We're gonna be stuck on the island for a while.
Knothead: (perking up) Really? That sounds like an adventure!
Splinter: (nodding eagerly) Yeah, we can explore and find all kinds of cool stuff!
Woody: That's the spirit! We'll make the best of our time here and turn it into an unforgettable adventure.
Knothead: Can we go swimming, Uncle Woody? I want to try out my new swim shorts!
Splinter: And I want to build a sandcastle!
Woody: Sounds like a plan! Let's make the most of our time here and enjoy every moment together.
Woody: And while you kids are busy having fun, your aunt Winnie and I are going to build us a treehouse in this tropical jungle.
Knothead: (eyes widening) A treehouse? That sounds awesome!
Splinter: Yeah, can we help, Uncle Woody?
Woody: Of course you can! The more hands, the merrier. We'll make it the coolest treehouse on the island!
With eager nods, Knothead and Splinter followed Woody into the dense jungle, their imaginations running wild with ideas for their new treehouse. Together, they gathered branches and vines, working side by side with Woody and Winnie to bring their vision to life.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the island, the treehouse stood tall and proud among the lush canopy of trees—a testament to the creativity and teamwork of the Woodpecker family.
Woody: (beaming) There you have it, kids. Our very own island getaway.
Knothead: (grinning) It's perfect, Uncle Woody!
Splinter: (clapping her hands excitedly) I can't wait to spend the night here!
(The sun goes down for the night, as Winnie – the woodpecker in the magenta strapless bikini top and swimsuit skirt – sees a coconut tree.)
Winnie: Look, Woody. Coconuts! But how do we get them down?
Woody: Leave it to me!
[Without a word, Woody sprang into action, his beak expertly tapping against the hard shell of the coconut with precision and determination. With each tap, cracks began to form, until finally, with a triumphant flourish, the coconut split open, revealing its sweet and refreshing contents.]
Winnie: (impressed) Wow, Woody! That was amazing!
Woody: Just a little trick I picked up along the way.
[With a grin, Woody handed half of the coconut to Winnie, the sweet aroma of the fruit wafting through the air. Together, they enjoyed their impromptu snack, savoring the taste of the island's bounty as they watched the sun sink lower in the sky.]
Winnie: (contentedly) You know, Woody, sometimes the simplest things are the most satisfying.
Woody: (nodding) Ain't that the truth, Winnie. And with a little creativity, anything is possible.
[A montage unfolds, capturing moments of adventure, discovery, and resilience as the Woodpecker family spends two weeks stranded on the deserted island. They explore hidden coves and lush jungles, build sandcastles on the beach, and fish for their meals in the crystal-clear waters. Despite the challenges they face, their bond only grows stronger as they work together to survive and make the most of their time on the island.]
[Finally, the montage transitions to a scene where a rescue boat approaches the island's shore. The Woodpecker family stands on the beach, their faces filled with relief and anticipation as they prepare to leave the island behind.]
Woody: (smiling) Looks like our ride's here, everyone!
Winnie: (clasping her wings together) Thank goodness! I don't think I could handle another day on this island.
Knothead: (excitedly) I'm gonna miss our treehouse, though.
Splinter: (nodding) Yeah, it was pretty cool.
As the rescue boat docks on the shore, the Woodpecker family boards the vessel, their hearts filled with gratitude for their safe return. The journey back to Opelucid City is smooth and uneventful, and soon they find themselves back on familiar ground, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of city life.
Captain: Welcome back, folks! I'm glad we could get you off that island safely.
Woody: We can't thank you enough, Captain. We owe you one.
With a wave and a grateful smile, the Woodpecker family bids farewell to the captain and disembarks from the rescue boat. As they make their way back to their home in Opelucid City, they reflect on the adventures they shared on the deserted island and the bonds of love and friendship that carried them through. And though their island adventure may be over, the memories they made will last a lifetime.
As the Woodpecker family returned to Opelucid City after their island adventure, Woody couldn't contain his excitement at the thought of reuniting with his cousin, Woodrow. It had been years since they last saw each other, and Woody couldn't wait to catch up and share stories of their adventures.
Woody: (grinning) I can't believe we're finally back in the city! I can't wait to see Woodrow and catch up on old times.
Winnie: (smiling) It's going to be wonderful to see family again.
As they made their way through the bustling streets of Opelucid City, Woody's keen eyes spotted his cousin standing outside a Pokémon Center, a familiar smile on his face. And beside him stood his trusty Pokémon companion, Molice, who had grown and evolved since they last met.
Woodrow: Woody! It's been too long, cousin!
Woody: Woodrow! It's great to see you again!
As they embraced in a warm hug, Woody couldn't help but notice the changes in Molice. The small, bug-like Pokémon had transformed into a majestic Tundrill, its icy-blue fur shimmering in the sunlight.
Woody: (impressed) Wow, Molice evolved into a Tundrill! That's incredible!
[Woody's Rotom Phone chimes]
Woody's Rotom Phone: "Tundrill, the Mole Pokémon. A Steel and Ice type. Tundrill uses the powerful drills on its arms to dig through entire mountains. Because of its accurate digging, there are miners that use this Pokémon to search for treasure in icy caves."
Faith: Wow, I can't believe Tundrill evolved. What can it learn now?
Woodrow: Now that Tundrill evolve, it can learn Drill Run, Metal Claw, and Dig.
Woody: That's pretty cool, if I do say so myself. [laughs]
("Who's that Pokémon?" segment)
Woody, Winnie, Knothead, and Splinter: Who's that Pokémon?
(A silhouette shows a picture of a mole-like Pokémon.)
…
(Moments later, the silhouette was revealed to be a picture of a Tundrill.)
Woody, Winnie, Knothead, and Splinter: It's… Tundrill!
Tundrill: Tundrill!
(End of "Who's that Pokémon?" segment)
[As the Woodpecker family settled back into their routine in Opelucid City, Winnie couldn't shake the feeling that there was something on Woody's mind. He had been spending more time with Mordecai and Faith, deep in conversation and poring over maps and ancient texts. Sensing his wife's curiosity, Woody finally decided to share his secret with her.]
Woody: (hesitantly) Winnie, there's something I need to tell you.
Winnie: (concerned) What is it, Woody? You seem troubled.
Woody: (taking a deep breath) Mordecai, Faith, and I have been researching the legends of the Treasures of Ruins.
Winnie's eyes widened in surprise. The Treasures of Ruins were ancient artifacts said to hold great power, but their locations had long been lost to time.
Winnie: (softly) The Treasures of Ruins... But why, Woody? What are you looking for?
Woody: We believe that finding the Treasures could help protect our world from future threats. And there's something else... We're not the only ones searching for them.
Winnie: Who else is looking for the Treasures?
Woody: A group called Team Rocket. They're determined to find the Treasures and use them for their own purposes.
Winnie: (determined) Then we have to find them first! But where do we start?
Woody: The second member of our quest is Chi-Yu, the Guardian of Wisdom. Legend says that she resides in the ancient ruins of Reversal Mountain, a volcano known for having magma at the top.
Winnie: (nodding) Then let's not waste any time. We'll help you find Chi-Yu and the Treasures of Ruins, whatever it takes.
Narrator: Ah, it looks like Winnie and her family are planning to help Woody find the three remaining members of the Treasures of Ruin. Their next task is to find Chi-Yu, a fish-like Pokémon living at the top of Reversal Mountain.
(To Be Continued…)
THE END!
Another fan-made episode finally complete!
(April 29th, 2024): I'm going to have to cancel my other story "A Level-Up For The Team!" since it'll take too long. I already got 6 episodes left of Woody's Pokémon Journeys to do and tomorrow will be the last day of April 2024 before May 1st, 2024.
See you next time!
