It is, in my mind, without question that one of the greatest series ever published (especially in the current century) is Harry Potter. Very few other series have managed to create such a complex but complete world filled with creatures and laws not found in our own as successfully as Ms. J.K. Rowling. One of the key signs of her success in this endeavour, in my humble opinion, is that she not only created a world that we readers wished to visit but also filled it with characters fans can name and describe by heart.
Perhaps because of this, but I have always had so many ideas for so many of Ms. Rowling's wonderful characters. But these stories never made it off the page as time is a finite resource and the logistics of creating a semi-believable book within Ms. Rowling's established world are, as I am sure many of my fellow writers and readers will agree, not a joke. And then, the simple solution came to me: why not do as other writers have done and write short pieces centred around the stories I wanted to bring to life? And suddenly, the options were endless. This book is therefore the collection of those ideas and more.
I should probably add now a disclaimer that I, of course, don't own Harry Potter or any of J.K. Rowling's wonderful world. I only own my own OCs. It is also probably good at this point to add a spoiler alert as this collection may spoil plot points for the books and the movies.
Lastly, I want to be candid and say now that I am very hesitant to accept any requests. I already have quite a few ideas that I want to share with my readers that will take time enough. That said, I have previously received wonderful suggestions from my readers on my other stories on plot twists, character ideas and even feedback on my writing. So please do feel free to comment and share your ideas! I won't promise that I will use any of them but if anything sparks any new thoughts or a new story, all credit will be given as due.
