Lincoln was surprised to see Ronnie Anne in the barracks she usual in the motor pool working on the tanks with Lana.
" Hey Ronnie Anne what are you doing here and Lana never stray far from the motor pool?" Lincoln asked her with a raised eyebrow. " Yeah but I needed a break from there there having me Lana and everyone else working overtime after that failed offensive" Ronnie Anne said as she sat next to Lincoln.
She noticed the picture in Lincoln's and soon sadness washes over her face. She remembers when she had heard the news that Clyde and the others were killed in a failed assault on there lines Ronnie Anne went into the motor pool because Sid went in as well as Lana who just wanted to work on a tank.
They heard the news the morning after Ronnie Anne knew that Lincoln was there at the front and so she raced to towards the front only to see the aftermath of the attack when she found Lincoln he was covered in blood from the battle but was also in the middle of were the Artillery round exploded letting out screams and cries of sadness.
" I miss them to Lincoln" Ronnie Anne said as she held his hand in comfort " It's hard Ronnie Anne" Lincoln said to her. Lincoln looked at her and smiled " But sometimes when your hear it's a little easier" Lincoln said to her " You just had to make cheesy didn't you?" She asked with a smirk.
Lincoln nodded his head a little bit " It would be weird if I didn't" Lincoln said with a smile. Ronnie Anne playfully punched his shoulder and laughed a little bit. " So what are you doing back thought the had the ' Lone wolf' out doing recon?" she asks him with a raised eyebrow.
Most of the time Lincoln wouldn't be on base he was out on missions taking out targets that were needed to push back the US forces. " the colonel has me deploying to Carolina's with Thirty second" Lincoln said to her.
" I heard about that heard you guys are going to help reinforce the southern alliance and Break through the US Lines" Ronnie Anne said. Lincoln only nodded his head causing Ronnie Anne to sigh. " So when are you leaving?" She asks him " At Dawn " Lincoln said as he looked back at picture.
Ronnie Anne looked at Lincoln she has barely been able to spend time with him since the joined the M,W.F since the war required there attention but know she had a chance to 'spend time with him'.
" Hey" she said getting his attention " Follow me there's something I want to so you" She said with a smile. Lincoln looked at her with a raised eyebrow but agreed to follow her.
Forty minutes later Abandon ranger station
" Okay seriously Ronnie Anne what are we doing here?" Lincoln asked her as they climbed up the steps of the abandon ranger station " Just wait and see what's inside" Ronnie Anne said to Lincoln.
Soon the reach the door that led to inside of the station " Okay where here" Ronnie Anne Said as flip the light switch turning on the lights that made the room bright enough to see two drawers and two beds each bed was big enough for two people " Okay what's going-" Lincoln didn't finish his sentence when he heard the door shut.
He turns around to she Ronnie Anne looking at him with a 'smile' and walks towards him " Ronnie Anne What-" He didn't finish when she pushed him onto the bed " Shut up and enjoy the ride" She said to him in a husky voice soon the two kissed but then it began to move deeper than that and then there clothes began to come off.
one hour later
A certain tomboy was seen walking towards said Ranger station with a rucksack slung over one shoulder " Man why can't those drivers be more careful with the tanks" She said to her self she then see's the Ranger station just a few feet away. she smiled as she was about approach the little oasis from the base as she was walking up the steps she thought she heard a wet slapping sound but brushed it off.
It wasn't long until she continued walking up the steps that wet slapping sound she brushed off was getting louder and louder and sound like a muffled voices coming from inside she draws her side arm and kicks the door open
" LANA!" Both Lincoln and Ronnie Anne shouted as Lana had just interrupted there 'time' and both of them had nothing on and Lincoln was on top " Oh GOD!" Lana says as she covers her eyes and close the door " NEXT TIME LEAVE A NOTE OR SOMETHING ON THE DOOR!" she shouted from the outside.
After that visit unexpected Lincoln and Ronnie Anne got dressed and went to check on Lana who was sitting down on the steps just outside the door. She turns her head to meet them " Are you guys done fucking each others brains out?" She asks with a disapproving look on her face. the two young adults had huge blushes on there face.
" Yeah sorry you saw us " Lincoln said rubbing the back of his head. " I can't tell what's worse walking in on you guys or the fact that it was on my bed" She said feeling like she was about to throw up Ronnie Anne and Lincoln looked at each other in embarrassment not sure on how to make any of them feel comfortable in an awkward situation like this, then Lincoln spoke
" Lana look were both sorry that we used your bed" Lincoln said then stopping to make sure that what he would say next wouldn't make any of them feel uncomfortable. " Ronnie Anne and I wanted to spend time together before I head out again" Lincoln said to his little sister " Oh really and were are you going this time Lone wolf " she said to her brother in a sarcastic tone.
Lincoln sighed and looked at her " The Carolina's " Lincoln said to her. Lana looked him to see if he was serious and he was " What your leaving to the Carolina's?" Lana asked him hoping that it wasn't true " Yeah I'm leaving tomorrow morning" Lincoln tells her as he looks down a little.
" why?" She ask him " huh?" He says as he looks at his little sister. " why are they sending you that far why can't they send somebody else?" She asked her older brother not wanting him to be that far from her or at least far from the mid west " I'm going with the thirty second where gonna help the Southern Alliance break through the line" Lincoln said to her.
Lana looked at him sadden she rarely saw her older brother and the one she see's him he's leaving already. She gets up looks at him " So I guess this is good bye then ?" Lana asked having seen her brother for the first time in a while " It's not good bye Lana more like a see you later" Lincoln said with a small smile.
Lana hugs her brother and he hugs her back Ronnie Smiles at the sight of seeing the two siblings hug each other finally seeing something good and heart warming since the war started.
Hours later
Lincoln is seen with a rucksack and his modified M4 Walking on the tarmac walking towards an C-130 transport with other soldiers of the M,W,F loading up to deploy to the Carolina's " Alright everyone get on were taking off in thirty minutes!" the commander of the thirty second announced to the men that were departing from the base. Lincoln walk towards the transport and checks in with the commander and takes a seat deep inside of the transport.
Thirty minutes goes by and men including equipment are accounted for soon the engines come to life and transport makes it way on the tarmac to the runway. Lincoln looks around to see the men and women of the thirty second talking amongst themselves. Lincoln only sigh and then closes his eyes hoping to get some sleep in before they landed.
Three hours later
Lincoln was sleeping soundly trying to enjoy what little peace he could find throughout the war as he was sleeping he felt someone tap him he slowly opens his eyes to see another solider standing in front of him " Hey were here time to get up" the soldier said and then turns to follow the others out of the transport Lincoln gets up from his spot and follows the thirty second out of the transport.
As he steps out of the tarmac he hears the sound of roaring engines, he looks up to see eight F-15 eagles fly over head and realizes that there going north. " Loud?" a voice shouted Lincoln turned his attention to see a women in military attire walking on the Tarmac " Lincoln Loud!" She shouted
" Over here!" He shouted raising his hand in the air signaling were he was. The women see's him and rushes over to him " Lincoln Loud?" she asks him he nodded " The commanding officer is waiting for you at the command center please follow me" the women said to him Lincoln nodded followed her to the command center.
As they were walking Lincoln could see the men and women of the Southern alliance full military gear moving to Chinooks helicopters or APC's ' Doesn't feel like I left the mid west' Lincoln said to himself.
" Sir Lincoln Loud" the women said as she presented Lincoln to the commanding officer. The commanding officer was an older man about Late Forties he wore a Beret wit a Star on the front.
" thank you Lieutenant your dismissed" the man said the Lieutenant nodded and exited the command center. The man looks up at Lincoln, which caused Lincoln to Salute the General " At ease son" the General said to Lincoln as he saluted him back. " Do you know why your here son?" the general asked.
" Yes sir to help the Southern Alliance and the Mid Western Federation end this war and get to main before the President and his advisors and Generals make it towards Canada sir" Lincoln said to the General.
The General nodded his head " That's correct son and your gonna help us do that. And do you know how?" the colonel asked Lincoln who shook his head. the General walks towards a large table in the middle of the room. Lincoln followed him towards the Table.
As they reach the table Lincoln could see a map of the eastern United states. The General stands behind the table and then explains.
" After there failed offensive are spies have informed us and M,W,F that there forces are severely depleted both the US and the the LU" Lincoln nodded his head " I knew someone who was a huge history buff" Lincoln said to the causing him to raise an eyebrow " And?" the General asked.
" He said back in the Second World war Hitler launched a desperate counter offensive to push the Allies out of Europe and retake France but failed the battle lasted till January" Lincoln said to the General " he was talking about the Battle of the Bugle" the General said to Lincoln nodded " the men in that war Europe and the Pacific fought for a Country that had Values and Patriotism, Morales, that country doesn't exist anymore" the General said to Lincoln. " but know isn't the time to dwell on that son" the General said Lincoln.
" You see son were moving out to night at dusk are forces are moving towards Lexington and then Richmond" the General said " So were gonna do this Blitzkrieg this then?" Lincoln asked.
The General shook his head " No son were not" the General said catching Lincoln off guard " just be cause the exhausted most of there forces doesn't mean that there not going to let us walk all the way to Maine son" the General said.
" were gonna meet the M,W,F at Scranton Pennsylvania and then well move as one towards Maine" the General said towards Lincoln. " go get some chow and rest up your gonna need it son" the General said to Lincoln who nodded and Saluted the General and then exited the command center.
