Author's Note: I've randomly got back into SG1 and this little idea hit me.
There is currently only one chapter and unknown if I will add to this, but you never know.
It is post The Wedding of River Song pre Asylum of the Daleks for Doctor Who and early Season Three for SG1.
Hope you enjoy.
The alarms sounding around him made Rory look around properly after the TARDIS disappeared. Okay, he had told the Doctor to go to hell and to let him off after…but he had expected the Time Lord to at least take him home and not just abandon him wherever he was now.
As soldiers flooded the grey corridors, which had lines of colour along it, Rory sighed and held up his hands. The special ops captain in his mind spotted each soldier had a patch on their shoulder that looked like nothing a branch of the military that he recognised, but considering he was likely on another planet didn't expect to.
He obediently walked and took a seat in the interrogation room they placed him in, after he was searched with them taking his phone, keys and first aid kit.
With a groan he waited, hoping the Doctor would realise he'd dropped Rory in the wrong place and come back for him, or more than likely River would crash through and get him out. But nothing happened and from what he could tell, since they also took his watch, about an hour passed before the door opened and one of his hosts appeared.
The man who walked through the door was about six feet tall, with hair that was grey with a few strands of brown through it, dark brown eyes, he was wearing green trousers and jacket over a black t-shirt. The same patch Rory had seen on the guards was also on his shoulder, "You want to tell me how you got into the base and to the lower levels before you were caught on camera?"
"You wouldn't believe me," Rory sighed.
The man looked at him intrigued, "You're English."
"Yes, I'm…" Rory trailed off, "Wait, this is Earth?"
The man frowned at him confused before slowly saying, "Yes."
"Okay," Rory said, knowing the best idea right now was to be honest, "That's good. My name is Rory Williams, I'm a nurse based in London at the Royal Hope Hospital."
The man stared at him for a moment before nodding, "I'll be back."
As he left the room, Rory leaned back in thought. He hadn't noticed before as he assumed it was the TARDIS translation circuit working but the man who had been talking to him was American. Which did not make him feel any better and the fact he was in some kind of military base meant it was unlikely he'd be able to escape easily if he had to. Not to mention he had no passport, so getting home would not be easy.
The door opened again about twenty minutes later, and the man walked in again.
"Well, that didn't work out the way you hoped," he said, sitting across from Rory, "Since there is no Rory Williams working at the hospital you gave or in London at all."
Grimacing Rory asked hopefully, getting a bad feeling, "Anything in Leadworth?"
The man glanced to the mirror behind him for a second and waited, there was a tap before he looked back at Rory, "Let's see if door number two gives us something."
Rory sat nervously waiting, worried by the look on the man's face when he returned.
"Rory Williams does exist in a place called Leadworth," he stated, "But he is about eleven years old right now."
"You have got to be kidding me?" Rory snapped annoyed, "Not only the wrong country, he dumps me in the wrong bloody time."
"What?" the man asked, lightly but there was steel in there.
Dropping his head onto the table in front of him with a groan, Rory tried to think how the hell to get out of this situation.
x
Jack O'Neill had gotten used to weird in the past few years, so frankly the fact this English kid had appeared from nowhere on the lower levels of the SGC was not the strangest thing to happen this month, never mind this year.
"Okay, if I'm eleven," Rory sat up, "This is what the year two thousand, two thousand and one?"
Jack nodded.
"UNIT."
"What-it?" Jack asked intrigued.
Rory looked up at him, his green eyes sharp and he no longer looked as young as he had when they put him in here. Also, Jack was seeing a hint of military bearing that hadn't been there before and suggested 'Nurse' might not cover what he actually was.
"Unified Intelligence Taskforce," he stated, "They will be able to confirm what I tell you next. Wait," he grimaced, "They might actually be called United Nations Intelligence Taskforce at the moment, I don't know when they changed it."
"I hate when that happens," Jack noted.
"They won't know me," Rory continued ignoring Jack, "Because they haven't met me yet but if you contact them and ask for…" he grimaced, looking as though he was trying to recall something, "Stewart…Stewart…damn it what was the name…" a few moments of silence passed before he nodded, "Lethbridge-Stewart." Annoyance covered his face again, "Damn what did he say his rank was?"
Jack watched in silence as the younger man tried to remember. Rory finally clicked his fingers.
"Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart," Rory stated, "If you tell him the Doctor dropped me here then he should be able to find a way to confirm I am who I say I am."
Jack nodded, assuming Carter was already making the call up to Hammond before he asked.
"Which doctor dropped you here and how?"
"The Doctor is his name," Rory stated, "Or it's the only one he's ever given us. He's what's called a Time Lord and he travels through time and space in a blue box. He dumped me here when I told him I wanted to leave."
"Why?"
Rory rolled his eyes, "Because he can be a childish arse at times."
Jack watched the younger man push his hand through his hair before rubbing it over his eyes, there was definitely something Rory wasn't telling him but right now Jack decided to leave the interrogation until they found out about this UNIT.
"You hungry?"
Surprised at the question, Rory nodded, "A little."
"Can't guarantee the taste," Jack told him, "But we'll get you something."
"Thanks."
Leaving the room, Jack turned to look through the mirror and watched their guest as he sat staring into space. Sadness covered the man's face, and he dropped his head before forcing himself to not look sad.
There was definitely more going on with this kid and Jack wanted to know what it was.
x
Rory leaned back in the chair in the room he was stuck in before he jumped up and began to pace the small space. His mind going over and over the last conversation – okay argument with the Doctor after Amy…he forced his thoughts away from what had happened to his wife right now. He couldn't lose it until he was safe. Right now, he had to be the Centurion and Captain Williams. Nurse Rory had to stay in the box.
The door opened again, and Rory turned to see the same man walk in with a tray holding a bottle of water, an apple, and a plate with some sandwiches on it.
"Here," he placed the tray on the table.
Rory looked at it before looking up at the other man, "Not checking I'm not allergic to anything?"
Stunned the man opened his mouth to reply but Rory just sat down and took a bite of the sandwich.
"I'm not," he said, "But for future reference you might want to check next time."
"So, Colonel?" Hammond asked the moment Jack entered the office.
Jack shrugged and took a seat, "Honestly, don't think the kid is a threat. The time travelling doctor is something that's sticking with me and I'm not sure that he's a nurse. Unless he's military nurse because he's done service at some time."
Hammond nodded, "And UNIT?"
"Carter found them," Jack replied, "They do exist, as does this Brigadier. I've got her sending them a message."
Hammond nodded, "What do you suggest we do with him until then?"
"Well, Daniel is due back in a few hours," Jack suggested, "He's probably the best to talk with him. Get him to open up. Daniel is a lot less threatening than I am."
"I'll get a VIP room set aside for him to stay," Hammond stated, "And get Dr Fraiser to check his health as well."
Jack nodded.
Before he left, Hammond said, "As for the time travel, you might want to look at this."
Jack took the small box Hammond handed him, "This is his cellphone?"
Hammond nodded.
Finding a button, Jack looked at the picture that appeared on the screen of their guest, and a redhead who was hugging him.
"Girlfriend?" Jack mused.
"Wife," Hammond replied, pointing to the one hand they could see, "Wedding ring."
A knock made them turn round to find Sam Carter standing there, "General, Colonel."
"Major Carter," Hammond motioned her inside, "What do you have for us?"
"I received a reply from UNIT," she stated, looking a little bemused, "They not only exist but the moment I mentioned what our guest had said about a doctor I was put through to Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart's office."
"And?" Jack asked intrigued.
"He's on the first flight to Colorado," Sam told them, "They don't know the name our guest gave but are sure they can confirm his story."
Jack mused for a moment, "This is getting more and more intriguing. I honestly did not expect you to get an answer."
"Did they give you information on when he is due?" Hammond asked.
Sam nodded.
"I want you and Colonel O'Neill to meet him and bring him to the base," Hammond told them, "Dismissed."
x
Daniel stalled as he exited the elevator to find Jack standing waiting for him.
"What do you want or what did you do?" Daniel asked suspiciously, stepping around his friend and starting towards his office.
"I'm insulted," Jack noted, falling into step beside his friend, "I could be here to see how your trip went."
"It was fine," Daniel said before he asked again, "What do you want or what did you do?"
"I didn't do anything," Jack rolled his eyes, "But something interesting happened a few hours ago. Come on, you'll love this."
Following Jack back to his office, hoping the other man hadn't touched or moved anything, Daniel wondered what was going on.
"Here," Jack started the video, "Watch this."
Daniel studied the screen and frowned, "This is a joke, right?"
Jack shook his head, "No. The cameras went weird and there was this guy on the lower levels of one of the most secure bases in the world. He claims to be a nurse, and from the future."
"The what?"
Jack chuckled, "Thought that would get you." He explained what their guests had told them, before noting, "We called this UNIT he claims can confirm where he came from and they're sending someone. I thought you might be the best person to talk to keep him company until then."
Suspicion covered Daniel's face, "Why?"
"You're our cultural expert," Jack reminded him, "And he's English. Totally different culture."
Daniel frowned at his friend, "Or you've seen something, and you want to watch how he answers my questions without realising that you're studying him."
Jack patted his friend's shoulder, "You read people so well."
Shaking his head, Daniel sighed, "Fine, let me get some coffee and I will talk to our guest."
Jack clapped his friend's shoulder again before following him out the room.
Rory sat in the room, extremely bored.
He was wishing he'd asked for a book or something because if he was stuck here any longer, he was going to go stir crazy.
Finally, the door opened and someone new walked in. He looked to be about Rory's age, blue eyes behind glasses, short light brown hair and he was wearing the blue version of what the other guy had been wearing. The one major thing Rory noted though was this man was not military, the older man had been without a doubt but this guy, he looked as though he might have spent some time with the military, but he wasn't a soldier.
"Hi," the man said, his voice soft with no hint of the distrust and confrontation that the older man had, "I'm Dr Daniel Jackson."
"Rory Williams," he reciprocated, "I take it you're here to get more information from me."
Daniel chuckled, "Yes and no. They've called UNIT and someone is coming to confirm your story. I thought you'd want to get out of here. We've also got a room you can use to sleep tonight."
"Well, that's good to know," Rory sighed, before asking, "Is it that late?"
Daniel shook his head, "No. I thought we could chat, and I was hoping you could tell me more about…"
"I don't think I'm allowed to tell you about the future," Rory cut Daniel off.
"What about places in the past you've visited?" Daniel suggested, "You're a time traveller and I'm an archaeologist."
Rory chuckled suddenly, wondering how River would react to this guy.
"Is something funny?" Daniel asked.
"I have a friend who is an archaeologist," Rory told him, "And another one who claims he points and laughs at them."
Daniel shrugged, "Then no different than being around the military a lot of the time. Come on, let's get out of this room. I'm feeling a bit claustrophobic, and I've only been in here a few minutes."
Rory nodded and walked out following Daniel. Back in the grey corridors, Rory tried to work out where he was going but couldn't quite get the pattern. He frowned realising that he'd let his guard down with this guy and knew he couldn't do that again.
x
Daniel led Rory to one of the meeting rooms, it was larger than the interrogation room and had slightly more comfortable chairs.
"Do you want some tea?" Daniel offered as he poured himself a mug of coffee.
Rory shook his head, "I'll take some coffee though."
"Not leaning into the stereotype?" Daniel asked amused.
A slight smile touched Rory's lips, "Just prefer coffee."
Handing the other man a mug of coffee, setting the cream, milk and sugar on the table Daniel took a seat across from him and studied him for a moment. Jack was right, there was definitely something not quite right about what Rory Williams had told them about himself.
"So," Daniel started, "Time traveller. How did that happen?"
Rory sighed, "Part of me says I shouldn't tell you, and whoever is listening in, anything."
Daniel winced slightly knowing Rory caught the admission.
"But," Rory shrugged, "The madman did dump me here so why not? You've not sent me to the nuthouse, yet, which makes me think that whatever this base is, it's not the normal military base. Especially since they have an archaeologist on staff."
Daniel nodded, "True but it is classified."
"Considering how I got here," Rory replied, "I'm guessing so am I."
Daniel laughed.
"So?" Rory asked.
"I can't tell you anything about what we do here, Rory," Daniel said, "No matter how classified you are."
"Then I should probably not say too much until UNIT arrive," Rory shrugged.
The phone sitting behind Daniel rang, making them both jump. Daniel leaned over and grabbed it. He listened for a few minutes before putting it down.
"Excuse me," Daniel said, heading out the door and leaving Rory again once more. He was barely a few steps out the room when he saw his friend leaning against the wall, "Jack?"
"Not just a nurse?"
Daniel mused for a moment, "He's spent time in the military, that's easy to see considering the way he's picked up information on the base but…"
"But?"
"You, Sam, Teal'c, Ferretti and everyone else," Daniel stated, "When you're relaxed, I can still see the military bearing, I suppose is the best term for it. With Rory, it comes and goes. Like…"
Jack motioned Daniel to continue, "Like?"
"A split personality?" Daniel suggested, "It's the best description I can come up with until I know more."
Jack frowned slightly, musing for a moment.
"You really want to tell him about the Stargate, don't you?" Daniel said amused, "Just to see how he reacts."
"What a shocking thing to say, Daniel," Jack placed his hand on his chest, pretending to be mortified at the suggestion.
Laughing at his friend, Daniel asked, "What do you want me to do now?"
"Keep talking with him," Jack shrugged, "It's what you do best."
Rolling his eyes, Daniel headed back into the room where Rory was sitting, drinking his coffee simply waiting for Daniel.
"Sorry," Daniel apologised, "I just had to get a file for someone. Where were we?"
"Stalemate?" Rory suggested.
Daniel shrugged before noting, "Why don't we talk about the past then? I'm an Egyptologist, have you visited there?"
"The Roman Empire is my speciality," Rory replied softly, "Although I did spend some time in Egypt." He tilted his head for a moment as though trying to remember before he added, "But not the time you would be interested in."
"Oh, I don't know," Daniel leaned back, "I'm interested in a lot of things."
Rory smiled slightly, "There are a lot of good movies out the past few years, how about we talk about them. Didn't the first Star Wars prequel come out around now?"
Daniel shook his head, "We don't mention Star Wars, unless you want a lecture longer than all the films combined on how it is a cultural phenomenon," he shuddered, "No one wants that, trust me."
Rory laughed slightly before he sighed, "Then this is pretty pointless. If you want to make sure I do nothing till whatever you're waiting for happens, then just give me a book to read. It'll be easier on both of us."
Jack parked, watching the plane land that held their guest who was going to identify their intruder. Daniel had decided against pushing Mr Williams for any further information as it was clear he wasn't going to answer anything, and it was really irritating Jack. The man claimed to be a nurse but everything Jack, and Daniel, had seen screamed there was so much more to Rory Williams than met the eye.
"Sir," Carter stated bringing him out of his thoughts, "The plane has landed."
Jack slid out the car and stood waiting. They were both in their dress blues as this was an official from another agency, he just wasn't sure who this guy was.
They waited as the plane door opened and a set of stairs descended from it. A few seconds later a man appeared, he was the definition of distinguished gentleman and Jack knew he was English before he even opened his mouth.
"Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart?" Carter asked.
"Retired," the man noted, "But yes."
Jack saluted, "Colonel Jack O'Neill," he introduced himself before motioning to his side, "Major Samantha Carter. Thank you for coming at short notice. If you come with us, we have a car ready to take you to the base."
The Brigadier nodded and slid into the backseat, "Then let's go. I am interested in meeting your guest."
Jack started the car, and they began their journey to Cheyenne Mountain. They drove in silence, which Jack was relieved by because he didn't want to even start getting into whatever weirdness this guy was here to tell them.
Making their way down into the base, Jack led the older man to Hammond's office and knocked.
"General George Hammond," Jack stated, "This is Brigadier Alisdair Lethbridge-Stewart, retired."
"Thank you for coming," Hammond stated, offering his hand to the other man,
"Well," the Brigadier said, "Anytime the Doctor pops up, I like to make sure he isn't causing too much trouble. Technically he still works for us."
Jack caught the General's eyes, intrigued at this information.
"Colonel, if you would show the Brigadier the surveillance video," Hammond said.
Jack nodded and started the video where their guest had arrived in the base the day before. The older man watched amusement on his face as the static began before he saw the man who had appeared after it.
"I don't recognise him," the Brigadier noted, "But," he added quickly, "On my way here my office contacted me to let me know that a message had been received from the Doctor. He's asked that Mr Williams be allowed to remain within the SGC for a short time."
"Why?" Jack asked before Hammond could and winced at the look his commanding officer gave him.
"The message advises," the Brigadier continued, "That Mr Williams is being hunted by a race of aliens, it didn't specify who or why, but the Doctor noted that your device will hide him."
"Hide him?" Jack asked.
"Therefore," the older man continued without answering, "UNIT is making an official request for you to allow Mr Williams to remain here until the Doctor can ensure his protection."
Hammond mused, "I will need to ask my superiors to agree."
"Of course," the Brigadier noted, "Can I meet Mr Williams while you get the agreement?"
"Colonel O'Neill will take you," Hammond told the other man, nodding to the leader of his premier team.
Jack nodded and motioned the other man forward, "If you follow me, sir."
x
Rory was once again being kept company by Dr Jackson. After being taken down to the infirmary where the doctor gave him a medical check, some of the process had seemed off but he stopped himself from asking, he'd been given a room to sleep in, which he knew was being guarded so he couldn't go wandering. Thankfully there had been a few novels in there which meant he could read for a while to help him keep his mind off everything because he was also sure there was a camera watching him.
Jackson appeared again to take him to breakfast, today in the green outfit and Rory watched intrigued by the mixture of soldiers and what were clearly scientists all eating breakfast when they entered the commissary.
"The representative from UNIT has arrived," Jackson told him after a younger soldier spoke to him, "If you're finished, we can go up and meet him."
Rory nodded; he hadn't been that hungry this morning but quickly finished the mug of coffee he had.
Once again, he tried to map out the base in his mind so if he needed to, he could move around without getting lost. They reached a large conference room where the man Rory had been interrogated by initially, whose name he still didn't know, and a man whose picture he'd seen once, although he was much older.
"Mr Williams, I presume," the Brigadier noted coming over to him, "It's nice to meet you."
"You too," Rory took the other man's hand, "I'm hoping you know a way to prove I travel with the Doctor."
"He has," the soldier said.
"Who are you?" Rory turned to him.
Jackson turned to the man, "You never introduced yourself? Seriously, Jack."
"Colonel Jack O'Neill," the soldier stated.
"Great, Colonel," Rory noted, "So, you know I'm telling the truth. What now?"
O'Neill gave a slight shrug, "That depends on what our superiors say."
Confused Rory asked, "What does that mean?"
"UNIT have requested to remain here for now," O'Neill told him.
Rory turned to the Brigadier confused and slightly suspicious, "Why?"
"Well, the Doctor asked…" the Brigadier started.
Rory cut him off, "He what?" Turning to Jack, he demanded, "Give me my phone."
O'Neill looked a little bemused but disappeared for a few seconds before returning with Rory's mobile.
"Just so you know," O'Neill said, "We are deep inside a mountain so there's no signal."
Rory ignored him and dialled the TARDIS.
"What the hell is going on," Rory demanded the moment the call was answered aware of the other three men standing listening in, "Why have you dropped me off in an American military base, ten years before my own time and want me to stay here."
"You're not through to the TARDIS," River's voice came.
"River?"
"I'm guessing he's avoiding your call," River told him.
Rory turned away from the other three men in the room, the window in front of him was covered and he briefly wondered what was being hidden before he refocussed.
"River…Melody," Rory said softly, "Amy…Amy is dead."
"Oh!"
Rory frowned, "Oh?" Anger filled him, "What's going on, River?"
"Nothing," she replied, innocence in her voice.
"Because I know that if I told you Amy was dead, and she was, then you would say something more than 'Oh' to me, even if it was long ago in your past," Rory snapped before stating, "Get here now."
"Rory…"
"That's an order from your father, Melody," he stated icily.
It wasn't a card he'd ever played, never even thought of trying it before, but right now he was so angry that he knew it would work. Because Mels always jumped when he told her to do something in that tone.
x
Jack watched their guest talk on the phone, amazed that he'd got a signal but was beginning to realise this guy had interesting friends. He jumped, as did Daniel and the Brigadier when a woman appeared suddenly in a fritz of electricity.
"What's going on, River," Rory demanded, without any preamble or surprise that she had appeared from nowhere.
The Brigadier caught Jack's arm, stopping him calling anyone, "Give them a moment."
"Rory," River said softly, "I only know that you need to stay here."
"Is Amy okay?" Rory whispered.
River nodded assuring him, "She is. The Doctor only had a few seconds to work out what to do, and he needed to get you to want to leave the TARDIS, so he implanted the memory."
"I'm going to kill him," Rory snapped.
"Rory," River rested her hand on his arm, "You need to be calm. Keep the Centurion on the box."
Jack and Daniel looked at one another confused.
"I am perfectly calm but I'm not just sitting here if something is going on," Rory told her.
"You have to," the Brigadier interrupted, he nodded to River, "Dr Song."
River smiled back, "It's good to see you again, Brigadier. You were saying."
"The Doctor is trying to protect you from a group of aliens who have targeted you, Mr Williams," he explained.
Jack and Daniel looked at one another again but remained silent listening in.
"Why here?" Rory demanded, "Why not send me home? Or to UNIT in my time?"
"The Stargate," Daniel spoke up.
"What?" they all asked.
Daniel grimaced, and Jack knew his friend didn't realise he'd spoken aloud but he explained, "The energy from the Stargate must block however they're tracking you and by hiding you several years before your time means it gives an extra layer of protection."
"I'm going to go and help them," River told Rory, "I know you hate being put in the corner, but you know the Doctor would only have done this if it was completely necessary."
River hugged Rory, who looked annoyed but hugged her back. She stepped away from him, touched her watch and disappeared in the same flash of electricity as she had arrived.
x
"You know," Daniel noted, "A few years ago that would have seemed amazing to me."
Jack clapped his friend's shoulder but before anyone could say anything else Hammond walked in.
"Mr Williams," Hammond stated, "I'm General George Hammond, this is my facility."
"Sorry to be causing these problems for you," Rory stated as he moved to Hammond.
Hammond gave a slight smile before he continued, "Whilst speaking to my superiors in order to get agreement for you to stay here, as per UNIT's request, I have been informed that you are already in the files and a person you may know is here to confirm your identity."
Rory looked confused, glancing at the Brigadier who shrugged looking intrigued.
"Who is it, sir?" Daniel asked.
"That would be me," a gravelly voice came as a man who looked to be in his sixties walked in.
Rory's eyes widened in surprise, "Canton?"
"Canton?" Jack asked.
"Canton Everett Delaware the Third," Rory smiled genuinely.
The man moved to Rory and offered his hand, "It is good to see you again, Rory. I always wondered if I would."
Rory nodded, shaking his hand, "Me too."
"Mr Williams was part of a group who assisted President Nixon with a matter in 1969," the man identified as Canton told them, "He has the clearance for the Stargate and has been granted sanctuary within the SGC until such time the Doctor confirms he is safe to leave."
"I've received the official confirmation," Hammond told them before turning to Rory, "Mr Williams, welcome to the SGC."
Rory looked around confused, "Thanks. But what do I do all day if I can't leave the base."
"You're a nurse," Daniel noted, "Right?"
Rory nodded.
He gave a slight smile, "Janet could always use an extra pair of hands in the infirmary."
Jack sat waiting while Hammond finished his call, fidgeting and aware of Daniel sitting quietly at his side.
Their guests had left, while Rory was now in Janet's hands to get him up to speed on how her infirmary worked.
"You have something to say, Colonel," Hammond noted the moment he finished his call.
"Don't get me wrong, I like the guy," Jack started, "But we've just let someone we don't know into the secret of the Stargate, given him a job in the infirmary and we know basically nothing about him except he is apparently a time traveller. Does that not sound odd to anyone else?"
"Well," Daniel noted, "We travel across the galaxy using a ring, we know several alien races and one of our teammates hosts a parasite in his stomach. We do seem to work with weird every day."
"Time travel though?" Jack stated.
"We visited 1969," Daniel reminded him, "Not to mention however far in the future we went before coming back here."
Jack frowned at his friend, "You always have an answer, don't you?"
"I'm simply pointing out…"
"Gentlemen," Hammond cut them off before the argument could escalate, "From the orders I received from Agent Delaware, Rory Williams, River Song, and Amy Pond as well as the Doctor have a clearance level for Stargate operations."
"Is he stuck here in the base?" Daniel asked, "That seems slightly…"
"Depressing?" Jack suggested.
Hammond frowned at him, "From the information we have, Mr Williams need to stay in close proximity to the Stargate. Unfortunately, since we are inside the mountain that means he has to stay here."
"What if the aliens come here for him?" Daniel asked.
"We do what we would do for every other member of this facility," Hammond told him, "Dismissed."
Final Note - In case you feel Rory is a little out of character, my headcanon is that Rory's experiences as the Centurion and Captain Williams are still in his head which gives him a slightly different personality from Nurse Rory whenever he leans into those memories.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed.
