A/N: This was based on the prompt "Middles" from the 100 Fanart challenge.
The oven timer went off, and Petunia at once excused herself from Bob and Larry's animated conversation about the next LarryBoy episode.
"That means the buns are done," she smiled as she hopped toward the open kitchen. "Dinner will be ready soon, guys."
"No rush," said Bob. "This cocoa is worth the trip over here."
"Petunia's the best cocoa maker," Larry declared. "One of the many reasons why I married her."
His wife winked over her shoulder at him. "And who says that the romance has to go out of a marriage?"
While Petunia hunted around for an oven mit, Larry watched her with an expression of delight.
"Look, Bob!" he whispered, tittering as though he had just discovered where his birthday presents were hidden. "Look at Petunia's middle!"
Bob gave his friend a patient, but amused, smile. "Yes, Larry, I already saw."
"But did you look?" Larry beamed, grooving a little in his seat.
"I did the other twenty times you asked me to."
"Isn't it just amazing?" Larry gushed, his eyes glowing as he gazed at his wife while she retrieved the pan of buns from the oven. "I wanna jump and cheer and hug her every time I see it!"
"You're going to make her feel self-conscious if you keep this up, you know."
"I can't help it!" Larry cried, unabashed. "God is good!"
Unless one knew Petunia well, the change was barely noticeable, but once it was pointed out, it was hard to miss, and Larry wanted everyone to share in his joy.
Petunia's baby bump was now big enough to be seen through her clothing.
THE END
A/N: VT is vague as to whether Veggies are born or grown. In It's a Meaningful Life, there is a joke about Morty returning to his roots, but there is also a snapshot of Donna (Petunia) pregnant with twins in the Greens' photo album.
