An Hour After Nyx and Co Got Back From Fighting DK
BGM: Attack of the Airships (Super Mario Galaxy)
Shadows flew over Toad Town, some of them going over some Toads going about their day. They looked up to see airships flying overhead.
"IT'S AN INVASION! EVERYONE, CODE "RUN AROUND IN CIRCLES!" I REPEAT, CODE "RUN AROUND IN CIRCLES"!" A Toad yelled.
The Toads screamed as they ran around in a panic, all the while Aoi looked on in disbelief.
"They actually have a code for that?"
The Airships all surrounded Peach's Castle, all the while cannons fired, making sure not to hit the Future Foundation… though they had set up a protective barrier around the building just in case a stray cannonball accidentally hits them.
Bowser dropped down to the ground and slammed open the doors. "BWAHAHAHAHA!"
"Oh for goodness sake!" Toadsworth grumbled. "Now is not a good time, you brute!"
"And why is that?"
"The princess is sick!"
"HA! Good one. She's faking it."
He pushed Toadsworth to the side as some Koopatrols surrounded Toadsworth. "Tea, you two?" He asked.
"Oh, thank you!"
Bowser opened the door to Peach's room. "PRINCESS! Let's get going!"
"Uuungh… right now…?" Peach groaned as she coughed.
"That's right! Now let's get-..."
Pause BGM
"Oh…" Bowser frowned as he walked up to check on her, putting his hand on her forehead. "You're definitely burning up."
"And she needs her rest!" A voice said as Constance came in with a bowl of soup with Myra behind her. "Coming through, here you go, princess."
"Oh… thank you…"
"Hmmm…" Bowser folded his arms before he snapped his fingers.
A few moments later…
"Hmhmhmhm~" Mikan sat down in the cafeteria at the hospital, opening up her bag and pulling out a sandwich. "Mmm, yummy~!" She smiled as she took a bite, putting on headphones to listen to music.

Resume BGM
The doctors and other paramedics yelped in surprise as Bowser made a beeline toward Mikan, who was blissfully unaware.
He poked Mikan on the shoulder. "Hmm?" Mikan swallowed as she turned around to see Bowser.
"You're coming with me!" He said, grabbing her shoulder and pulling her away, literally dragging her from the floor.
"Ack! B-b-but… but… my sandwich…! My lunch!"
"Oh, it'll be there when you get back!"
End BGM
At Peach's room…
"You! Fix up my princess. Now!"
"...You kidnapped me just to make the princess feel better?" Mikan deadpanned. "This could've been a phone call!"
"That was my phone call."
Mikan sweatdropped. "Oh boy…"
Peach looked at Mikan, quietly mouthing an "I'm so sorry". Mikan smiled, giving her an understanding look.
"So, how are we feeling?" Mikan asked.
"Oh, you know… fever, coughing, sore throa-" Peach coughed. "Sore throat-"
"You definitely have a frog in your throat too by the sound of it." Mikan said.
"Well? Fix her already!" Bowser said, pulling up a chair.
"It takes time, Bowser. Give me a moment to assess the situation. After all, diagnostic medicine doesn't work like it does on TV, ya know."
Bowser grumbled. "You sound just like Kamek…"
The Ultimate Nurse let out a small giggle before she noticed the soup that she was eating. "Chicken noodle?"
"Yup~!" Constance smiled.
"That's good." Mikan nodded. "Myra, was it? Can you distract Bowser for just a moment?"
"Oh sure." Myra approached Bowser with a smile before showing off her magic to him.
"What is this, a magic show? I've seen this plenty of times! …Yet why can't I take my eyes off of it?"
While Bowser was distracted, Mikan whipped out her phone and started to text someone.
"Bowser kidnapped me…"
"What happened? Do you need someone to come get you?" - Peko
"Peach is sick, so he kidnapped me and is making me take care of her."
Peko sent back a gif of someone sweatdropping.
"Oooooooookay… do you need anything brought to you?"
"Hai. Personal protective equipment and some medicine from the hospital. She seems to have the flu. I don't want to risk getting a contagious illness."
"Hang tight, I'll be there in a little bit."
"Arigato! Oh, and can you get my lunch while you're at it? He kidnapped me right as I was about to eat."
"Will do."
Mikan turned to Peach. "Just hang tight, your highness. I'll get you back up and running in no time."
"Thank you… I do have a medical team though."
"Bah, they take too long. Someone with the title of "Ultimate Nurse" sounds faster to me."
Mikan sighed. "Of course it did…"
Suddenly, the power cut off momentarily as only some sunlight from the curtains covering the windows were only giving off some light. "Oooh… now what!" Bowser grumbled as he went over to open up the curtains.
As his back was turned, a vent opened up as Peko lowered herself down, handing Mikan what she needed, and her lunch.
"Arigato!" Mikan whispered.
"Dōitashimashite." (You're welcome.) Peko then looked toward Peach. "Ohimesama." (Princess.) She greeted politely before climbing back up and putting the vent back in and watched from the vent, nodding at Mikan.
Bowser opened up the curtain. "...Nah, that's too bright…" He mused as the lights came back on. "Huh, weird power bump…"
"That was fast…" Myra said, referring to what Peko just did as Constance nodded in agreement.
"Hmm…" Peach wondered as Mikan ate her sandwich and drank from her thermos while she tossed two masks over to Myra and Constance, just in case. "Bowser, I have an idea."
"Swing."
"How about we have a friendly little wager?"
"Okay, I'm listening."
"You set up an arena of some kind with something valuable inside. I send someone over to get that valuable treasure. If they succeed, you have to pay for all the damages you cause for half of the year."
Bowser smirked. "And if they get caught… you'll spend an entire week at my castle and no one will be able to rescue you. …As soon as you're a hundred percent better, of course."
Peach nodded. "Very well."
"Heheh… I know exactly who you're going to call and it ain't gonna work. You wanna know why?"
"Hmm?"
"Mario ain't what you call "stealthy"." He chuckled smugly. "This is gonna be easy!"
Bowser turned around. "I'll whip something up quick. Now would be the time to pick your challenger, princess. They won't last long anyway, bwahaha!"
"Is he always full of himself?" Myra wondered.
"On his good days, yes." Constance nodded.
Peach had an idea as she pulled out her phone and proceeded to text someone.
At Nyx's home…
"So what do you think?" Nyx asked.
"Hmm…" Xena folded her arms as she looked at some blueprints that Nyx had made while telekinetically bringing a pizza to her mouth and taking a bite. "Electrical boxing glove arrows?" She asked after swallowing.
"I know I have the original boxing glove arrow, but I was thinking I could do something with a little more "oomph" to it."
Yagami came out of Xena and looked through some more, while having some pizza for herself. "Knock out gas arrows… laughing gas arrows… not bad!"
Nyx grinned. "I thought they might be great for my repertoire."
At that moment, Nyx's scroll went off as she took a look at her messages. "Uuuuh… what…?"
"What is it?" Xena asked, taking another bite.
"Apologies if this is so sudden, but I need your help. I, unfortunately, caught the flu and I decided to play a little wager with Bowser since he came to kidnap me. Bowser is going to set up an arena of some sort and place some sort of valuable treasure in it. If someone I choose gets the item in question, he'll have to pay for damages for half a year. However-"
Another text came in.
"Sorry, text limit. Anyway, if the person in question is caught, I'll be in Bowser's Castle for a week. So I was wondering if you could be the one to sneak in and steal the treasure."
"Huh…?!" Nyx said in surprise and texted back.
"Um. No offense, princess, but wouldn't the Phantom Thieves be better for this? Specifically Akira?"
"I would, but I feel as if Bowser would want a challenge and he would think the Thieves would be too easy."
"Fair enough. I'll see what I can manage."
"Thank you!"
"Well, looks like my afternoon's packed…"
"What is it?" Xena wondered as Nyx showed the twins the text.
"Oh please, we could teleport in and snag 'em." Yagami said. "But, Bowser might've thought of that… aaaand since we're dating one of his minions…"
"Yeeeeah…" Nyx nodded as she had an idea. "I think I know who to call."
At the Brooks Residence…
"Hmhmhmhm~" Zoey hummed as she was dusting some bookcases as the scroll went off. "Hmm?" She went to answer it.
"Brooks residence, this is Zoey. Oh hi Nyx! Oh? …Ooooh… that's interesting. I'll be right over."
She hung up and then Yagami teleported in with a note and placed it on the table, then grabbed Zoey. "Ready?"
"Ready."
Both teleported toward Nyx's home, and if one should read the note:
"Hey, decided to kidnap your maid. We'll bring her back unharmed, don't worry! - Yagami"
Zoey got her bearings straight once she arrived at Nyx's home. "Mmm, so you want to be as stealthy as you can?"
"Yeah. I mean… I can lay down traps just fine, but my crossbows aren't exactly the quietest when they fire. They'll give me away easily."
"Mhm." Zoey nodded. "We will need to give you a new weapon for this. Not to mention a uniform that will be perfect for such an occasion, and a training area."
"We do have a simulation room." Nyx said.
"Excellent. Now, do you know anyone who specializes in guns, or has a weapons shop? Not to mention someone who could help out in designing uniforms?"
The twins looked at each other. "We know a few people." Xena said.
A few moments later…
"Wooooo~!" Ibuki giggled. "Teleporting's fun~!"
"Still gonna need to get used to that…" Sonia admitted.
"I think I have heard of these two." Zoey said. "Ibuki Mioda, the Ultimate Musician. And Sonia Nevermind, the Ultimate Princess. Nyx had told us about you."
"And you must be Zoey-chan! The badass maid of Team MAJC!" Ibuki grinned.
Zoey blushed. "Oh…! Yes, that would be me." She giggled.
"So, what's up?" Sonia asked. "You need something?"
One explanation later…
"You know, this would explain why Peko texted us that Bowser kidnapped Mikan…" Sonia said.
"Wait, the big guy did what?!" Nyx said in surprise.
Yagami snickered. "Ya know, that… definitely sounds like something he'd do."
"Peko-chan's handlin' it. That said… Ibuki'll help Zoey-chan in designing you a kick ass outfit, Nyx-chan!"
"And I'll see what I can do about your weapon woes!" Sonia said with her eyes sparkling.
"Zoey-chan…? Nyx-chan?" Zoey whispered.
"It's her thing." Nyx whispered back.
"I've noticed…" Zoey sweatdropped.
Later, at the simulation room…
"Okay, so digging through my shop, I found something that might be the perfect one, and I did some tweaks to it that'll fit your style." Sonia said, giving Nyx a gun. "This is the Springfield Hellion, perfect for ops such as this."
"Oh wow…"
"I even modified the Ammo to where the bullets are blunt, so you don't have to feel bad about knocking someone six feet under. It's even got an under barrel for your traps."
"Ah, sweet!"
"Aaaand, the piece de resistance…" Sonia added a suppressor to it. "Ta-dah~!"
"Pretty sweet." Xena said.
"Alright…" Sonia set up some stationary targets from the control panel. "See what you can do with these."
BGM: Multiplayer (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)
Nyx aimed her weapon at the targets, slowly breathing before she pulled the trigger, shooting at the targets. The recoil nearly took her by surprise but she was able to control it, shooting through the targets.
"Perfect! Now let's try moving targets."
Nyx saw Paragoombas, Paratroopas and Parabeetles materializing as they started to move in sync in a Space Invaders-like fashion.
Nyx proceeded to fire at them, as one red Paratroopa got into his shell and launched toward Nyx, but she stepped out of the way and shot him before he could return.
"And now for someone returning fire." Sonia said as an enemy materialized, causing Nyx to pale at the sight of the enemy… which was a simulation of Samus.
"Don't you think that's a bit overkill?"
"Don't worry, she's on easy mode!"
"If you say so…"
Nyx and Samus proceeded to dance around each other by firing bullets/plasma beams at each other, and even though Samus was on "easy mode", she still wasn't making it easy for her, what, with rolling unto a ball and planting Bombs here and there.
But Nyx was able to hold her own, firing at Samus as the bounty hunter tried to smack her or hit her with a missle, but with Nyx's pin point accuracy, she shot the missiles down and struck Samus in the abdomen, ending the fight.
"Brilliant~!" Sonia cheered as Samus disappeared.
End BGM
"You handled that recoil rather well." Xena complimented.
"Well-" Nyx pulled out her pistol. "I do have a pistol I carry around… I just never use it since I'm pretty great with crossbows these days."
"Oooh, right… forgot you had that." Xena giggled.
"So that's why you didn't seem that opposed to a firearm…" Sonia giggled.
"Alright, we got it all figured out!" Ibuki walked in with Zoey.
"I'm rather surprised Ms. Mioda was able to make an outfit so quickly…"
"Heh, Ibuki's not only great with music, ya know~!" She chuckled as Nyx took the outfit and went to go change.
She came out wearing a form-fitting black leather catsuit with a pair of dark blue tactical fingerless gloves with black knuckle padding, a pair of thigh-high dark blue combat boots, and a dark blue utility belt around her waist. She was also wearing a dark blue Domino mask decorated with black accents and silver lenses on her face along with a dark blue knife holster around her right thigh, the knife being a silver hunting knife with a black handle. Not to mention that she was still also wearing her signature scarf around her neck.
"Daaaaamn! You definitely fit right in with the Phantom Thieves with that attire." Xena giggled.
"I concur. You look great!" Sonia smiled.
Nyx blushed. "Thanks."
"Now, I decided to add a little something to your mask." Zoey said. "I've added lenses to them. With the push of a button, you can swap between night vision, infrared and a heartbeat scanner that can give you a brief idea of the emotional state of the target."
"Sweet. Oh, this feels like leather too. Just like I used to wear."
"Ibuki made sure of it!" Ibuki winked.
"Now, how do you feel about lockpicking?" Zoey asked.
"Lockpicking? I don't think that's ever crossed my mind."
Zoey chuckled. "I had a feeling. Don't worry, I'll teach you a few things about it. And if not me, then Master Anthony is exactly the man who you want to speak with."
"Be right back." Yagami said and teleported… and then came back frazzled with Anthony next to her.
"What happened to you?" Xena asked.
"Jen wasn't gonna let me kidnap her boy that easily…" Yagami said, conjuring up some water and splashing her face with it.
"Yagami filled me in on what's going on. I'll help you out." Anthony said.
Sonia typed into the keyboard as a door appeared in the simulation. "Here we go~!"
"Oh, I was gonna teach her on an actual door in the house."
Sonia sweatdropped. "Oh…" She blushed sheepishly. "That works too."
A few lockpicking lessons later…
"It can't seriously be this simple." Nyx said, lockpicking the front door of her home that Anthony had locked, and then opened the door successfully. "Oh my gosh. It really was that simple."
"Just think. With practice, you'll be able to lockpick even the most stubborn locks." Anthony smiled.
Zoey approached Nyx. "Ms. Sonia and I have made a few things for you while Master Anthony was teaching you how to lockpick."
"The handy smoke pellets, a glue grenade that traps victims in a ball of glue that no one can escape from, a sticky camera that can be shot out of the gun where you can use your mask to look around in. This mine is called a Noisemaker, it makes an occasional beeping noise to lure in folks and then boom, it blows up and knocks them out!"
"Wow, neat!" Nyx smiled.
"There's the dart trap, where you shoot it into a wall and then it takes out the first enemy in the line of fire with the tranquilizer. The classic bear trap, though we added pads to it. The classic Ink Mine, and then you got the Pitfall seeds… and of course-"
Sonia pulled out a grapple gun. "The all classic grapple gun~!"
"I should be sad that I didn't think of some of these traps myself… but it's giving me ideas~!" Nyx grinned.
"You just gave the trapmaster ideas. We're doomed." Xena teased, causing everyone to laugh.
"Would we be doomed if you and your twin were given the same? Or Miss Jade? Or...anyone else in this room?" Zoey teased back.
Xena snickered. "Good point."
At that moment, Nyx got a text as she looked into it, seeing that it was from Peach.
"Bowser finished setting up. You ready?"
"I just need to know where it's at."
"I'll text you the coordinates."
Meanwhile…
"Bwahahaha! It's perfect!" Bowser said as he was in a security room with Peach, though she was in a makeshift bed as Constance, Myra and Mikan were by Peach's side, making sure she was comfortable. Peko was also nearby, ready for whatever Mikan had asked her to.
"I… never would have imagined you picked a place like this." Peach admitted.
"Ha! You surprised that Airship Fortress is an island fortress?" Bowser smirked.
"Well… considering we tend to race on it from time to time… I had no idea." She admitted.
"Fair enough. Merasmus gave the idea that we ought to put this in a lava lake, but… it didn't strike well with me."
"Huh, and this coming from the guy who puts a lot of fortresses over lava lakes." Peach teased.
"Hey, I like to mix it up a little."
Peach nodded as an alarm kicked in.
"Oh, it seems we have our challenger. Who did you pick?" Bowser smirked. "Was it Mario? Ha! He's not gonna make it."
Down below, Nyx hopped off of her Yoshi as she stared at the island fortress, while nearby, Anthony had set up a mission control like area with Sonia and Ibuki's help.
"Testing, testing, one two three. Do you hear us loud and clear?" Sonia asked.
"Loud and clear, Sonia."
"Excellent~!"
Her Yoshi went off toward the mission control while Nyx mentally readied herself. "Game time."
"Eh? The trapper girl?" Bowser blinked before scoffing. "Pah. She won't last long. I'll give her a minute before she gets caught."
Nyx stared at what was in front of her, a drawbridge that was currently closed. She glanced over at a gatehouse nearby as she walked over to it, and saw a Koopatrol was taking a nap. She looked in to see a button nearby as she snuck over and pressed it, which in turn lowered the drawbridge.
"Zzz… wha…? Zzzz…. Five more minutes, momma…"
Nyx tiptoed out and then waited as the drawbridge lowered, and then made her way in, while dodging some FIsh Bones that tried to bite her after launching themselves out of the moat.
BGM: Airship Fortress (Mario Kart DS)
She walked into the courtyard, where she immediately saw a Chain Chomp in the center.. She immediately hid behind some bushes. She looked to see there was no way in aside from the front doors behind the Chain Chomp… and it was also bouncing around, actively on duty.
"That's a surprisingly active Chomp…" Sonia mused.
"There's not a lot of bushes in that courtyard. There's no way she can get past it!" Bowser said smugly.
Nyx smiled, pulling out some spare jerky she brought over. She took a bite before throwing it toward the Chomp.
"Rrrr?" The Chain Chomp moved over toward the jerky out of curiosity and sniffed it. He immediately started eating it, completely distracted as Nyx snuck in.
"Nice use of that jerky!" Zoey praised.
"JERKY?!" Bowser yelled in dismay as Peach let out a giggle. "Mmph… beginner's luck!"
Nyx snuck into the entrance room, seeing very nice furniture as she climbed up some stairs, quickly turning on Infrared and saw some Rocky Wrenches moving about. She peeked behind the corner and then shot two dart traps on the wall.
Once the Rocky Wrenches got within the line of sight, two tranquilizers hit them. "Ooogh… pretty colors…"
"No more ice cream for me, ma… I'm full from that butter pecan sandwich…"
Both collapsed as Nyx went past them, collecting her traps in the process as she looked through her infrared, seeing a lot of folks in one room. She glanced over at a vent and climbed in, crawling through it.
"Quick question, Nyx-chan. Do you now know how a TV dinner feels?" Ibuki asked with a giggle.
"Never crossed my mind until now…" Nyx chuckled as she found a vent, seeing that the group was nothing more than Hammer/Ice/Boomerang/Fire/Sledge/Sumo Bros just eating amongst themselves.
She pulled out the Noisemaker and dropped it to the ground of the cafeteria.
"I'm tellin' ya, that TV show is pretty great!"
"Eeeh, I dunno… feels kinda-"
Beep
"Kinda… uh… did you hear that?"
"No?"
Beep!
A Boomerang Bro walked by with a tray full of food. "Huh? What's this doing her-"
BOOOOOOOM!
Nyx had covered her ears at that moment, and then dropped in, seeing all the Bros knocked out as a Sumo Bro was unwittingly crushing an Ice Bro.
"Ah, the cafeteria…" She mused.
"WH-WHAT?!" Bowser yelled in disbelief.
"Starting to feel nervous~?" Peach asked after she coughed.
"N-no! Shut up!" Bowser grumbled, hearing some giggles from Constance and Myra.
Nyx casually grabbed some jerky that was on the counter, taking a bite out of it and frowned as she left the cafeteria. "Eh… not as good as my homemade jerky." She said as she quickly hid in the shadows as some Mechakoopas patrolled the area.
She went toward the western side, finding the Staff quarters as she looked inside, seeing some sleeping Rocky Wrenches and some Hammer Bros. Two Ice Bros were playing cards, but there were no treasure in sight.
She shut the door and kept looking, dodging Mechakoopas as she opened a door once she saw that it was empty… and saw that it was a Kart Garage.
"Huh…" She mused as she walked in, seeing the various Karts, Buggies and Bikes in the armory.
She got close to a Flame Rider, curiously looking at it. "Cool ride…" She mused when suddenly a light came on above her and the Flame Rider as both of them rose toward the ceiling, a hatch opening up. Not only that, but a cage rose up and locked her in. "Crap…"
"Was that a trap?" Mikan wondered.
"Nah, the cage is meant to prevent the Karts from rolling off… we had a few incidents so we took extra precaution." Bowser said. "Although, this could technically count as her getting cau-"
"It doesn't." Peach said. "Anyone probably would have gotten caught in that."
"Awww…" Bowser pouted. "...You do make a good point though."
"I don't think you should worry too much. I wouldn't count this as you being caught." Anthony said.
"I wasn't. Though I'm curious to where this is taking me." Nyx said.
"According to what I'm seeing, it's taking you to the top… you're not missing much. Just a bunch of armories and guest rooms." Sonia said.
"And apparently a home made theater too." Xena added.
"Just don't be reckless and distracted by this stuff, Nyx. Remember the mission and stick with it." Anthony added. "It's how I avoided being caught for so long."
"Copy that."
The lift stopped as the cages lowered, as Nyx found herself and the Flame Rider in a storage unit. "I think I'm in a storage unit." Nyx said, firing a few cameras out on the walls and then used the camera function in her mask to get a good look around.
On one camera, she saw a Koopatrol doing inventory.
On another, she saw the exit.
On the third one, she saw how maze like the whole storage unit was, not to mention dimly lit.
The last one was a box labeled "Mechakoopas for Iggy to mess with". The last one was enough to make Nyx silently snicker as she proceeded to move around the storage unit, making her way toward the exit, while also throwing down a few Pitfall seeds.
"Alright, let me take a look at this one…" The Koopatrol mused. "Several new instruments for Ludwig to play with… check. Weight lifts for Ro- AAAACK!" He yelped as he stepped into the Pitfall and fell in.
With a smirk, Nyx snuck toward the exit… only to find out that it was locked, so she proceeded to lockpick her way out. The door unlocked a few moments later as Nyx snuck out, finding herself at an elevator as she hopped in and went up.
She quickly switched to infrared, and immediately saw some folks on a floor that the elevator was slowing down on. Shit! Nyx thought as she had to act fast, before looking up at the ceiling of the elevator, seeing a vent in the ceiling as she used her grappling gun to latch onto it and pulled herself up, proceeding to slowly remove it.
Ding!
The elevator doors opened up as some Koopatrols walked in. "Ugh, I'm famished."
"Yeah… you think they got some of that jerky that's really good?"
"I'm more interested in a burger with steak fries."
"Ooooh, I could go for that."
Nyx quietly resumed her work, a bead of sweat rolling down her head as she made her way out right as the sweat fell toward the ground. She put the vent back in right as the droplet hit the ground as the Koopatrol was about to hit the button.
"Huh?" The Koopatrol looked down before looking up.
"What is it?"
"Mmm… it's nothing. Probably a leaky pipe."
Nyx looked towards the top and proceeded to climb up, but the elevator started to go down, forcing her to use the grapple gun and latched onto the top, where she moved up and then reached her destination.
She looked down to see the elevator moving at a faster rate. "Hoo… that's a long way down…" She whispered as she aimed her gun at the door and fired an electrical shot, opening the doors up.
"Ha!" She grinned, only for the doors to malfunction as they started to open and shut repeatedly, causing the grin to vanish. "Ooooh…" She grimaced.
She started to swing back and forth, taking a deep breath and then when she swung forward, the grapple retracted as Nyx flew through right as the doors opened up, as Nyx slid on the floor and lay on her back.
She let out a laugh immediately after. "Ohoho… ooooh… I'm never doing an elevator shaft again."
"You alright?" Zoey asked.
"Never better…" Nyx chuckled.
"Ibuki thought you were gonna bite it!"
"So did I… glad I'm still in one piece."
Nyx sprang back up. "Alright, I think I'm at the top of the tower." She said as she used her Infrared to make sure nobody was there, and then walked outside to where she'd find the airship across from her.

She started to run ahead, where the airship started to fire its Bill Blasters and launched Banzai Bills at her. She quickly ran through, weaving her way around the Banzai Bills until she jumped on the ramp and ran up, quickly throwing down a few smoke pellets to blind the Rocky Wrenches as she quickly ran inside the ship.
Once she was inside, she spotted a path that led straight for the Captain's Quarters. She immediately went straight for it, hiding through the shadows to let some stray Koopatrols wander past as she opened up the door, her Infrared telling her that no one was in there.
She snuck in and spotted the safe underneath the desk. "Ah, there you are." She said as she walked over and pulled it out, proceeding to lockpick it.
…And then felt something sharp press against her back.
"Just what do you think you're doing?"
Shit.
"Hands where I can see them."
Nyx slowly put her hands up as she slowly turned to see who was in front of her, which was none other than Shez.
"That's it. Knock her down. I'm this close to having Peach with me for a week!" Bowser said excitedly.
"Come on, Nyx…" Peach whispered.
Well, time to see how much I've picked up on Jade's Spanish…
"No haba inglés." (I don't speak English.)
"Oh, don't give me that bullshit. I know it's you, Nyx. You're like the only silver headed woman I know."
"Eh… had to try." Nyx shrugged. "Hmm… is there someone else here? I'm getting something faint."
"No one here but us."
"No, listen… I swear it's over here." Nyx walked over toward a wall. "Hey, take a listen. Do you hear that? I swear, it's getting louder!"
Shez walked over to her. "You're stalling."
"No no, I swear it's getting louder. Like a woman humming… kinda like Edelgard."
"Edelgard?" Shez perked up.
"Shez, no!" Arval groaned.
Shez pressed her ear against the wall. "...Weird, I don't hear anything."
"Darn, it was probably just me." Nyx said as she was across the room.
Shez turned around. "You think you're funny, but I'm not going to fall for this a second time. So why don't you drop the act and- ow!" She winced as she pulled out a dart from her neck. "What the…?"
"Oh that? That's just a tranquilizer. It should kick in in a few seconds."
Shez smirked. "You honestly think a tranquilizer will work on me? You're wrong!"
She took a few steps.
"You're coming with-"
THUD!
"Zzzz…"
"She shoots, she scores!" Sonia cheered.
"OH COME ON!" Bowser groaned.
Nyx opened up the safe, seeing that it was a fancy necklace with the middle being in the shape of Bowser's head. "That's it?" She snickered as she stored it away, and then picked up Shez over her shoulder and walked off, proceeding to sabotage the ship by shooting Noisemakers at the propellers and kicking a Mechakoopa toward it.
She immediately ran off, wandering into a Cargo Hold where she saw another Flame Rider inside. She hopped in and then drove off while having a sleepy Shez lean against her, proceeding to launch out of the cannon and glided her way down to where everyone else was at.
Once Nyx landed, she gently put Shez on the ground. "Mission accomplished." She smiled as her friends cheered.
"So. Pay up~" Peach smiled.
"Oooooh…" Bowser groaned.
Later…
"There, back to where you were… you happy?" Bowser asked.
"Absolutely!" Peach nodded.
"There, well… see you on the next inva-ah… ah… ACHOOOO!" He sneezed.
"...Oh dear, it seems you've caught what the princess had." Mikan said.
"What? No, I didn't! It was just some allergies!" He coughed. "Sorry, something got caught in my throat."
Mikan looked at him with smug playfulness as she started to text a friend. "Consider this revenge~" She smiled.
At that moment, Akane kicked open the door with gloves and a mask.
"Alright, come here, big guy!" Akane said.
"Wait! No! It's just some allergies, I swear!"
Akane casually picked him up and put him over her shoulder.
"Flu happens to the best of us, big guy!"
"LET ME GO! THIS IS HUMILIATING!" Bowser protested as Akane wandered off while carrying him, humming as she did so… and went through Toad Town just to add salt to the wound.
Mikan giggled and then turned toward Peach. "If you ever need me for something, call me and I'll be right over."
"Or me." Peko dropped down gracefully.
"Okay." Peach smiled.
"Come on, let's give the princess some rest." Myra said as they walked out, closing the door as the princess laid down and fell asleep, coughing a few times.
Back at Nyx's home…
"Never thought I'd come home with jewelry and an awesome bike, but hey, I'm not complaining." Nyx said.
"Hmmm…" Ibuki looked at the Flame Rider. "Ah! She believes that Kazuichi-chan might trick it out for ya!"
"You think so?"
"Yeah!" Ibuki nodded as she hopped on it. "She'll be back with this before ya know it!"
She drove off with it.
"Wahooooo!"
"She's an odd one." Anthony said.
"Eh, it's Ibuki. You just roll with her." Sonia giggled.
"Hmm…" Zoey turned to Xena, having an idea. "Ms. Ayami, I know you and your twin are telekinetic prodigies, but perhaps you both could mix things up a bit too. Just a thought."
"Ya know…"
Yagami switched out. "I've always been interested in being an assassin."
"Is that right? I may show you a thing or two." Zoey smiled.
"Hmm… what about you, Xena?" Nyx wondered.
"Hmm, I'll see what I can come up with."
Nyx giggled. "This is so gonna surprise everyone when they get home. It's gonna be exciting, especially when they see my new repertoire!"
"If I may-" A voice said as they saw Umber approaching. "Apologies for popping in out of nowhere, I was watching you do your thing from the castle."
"You were watching it?"
"Everyone was." Umber smiled. "But anyway, I think I know what you can also add to your arsenal."
"I'm listening."
"Galarian Stunfisk. I think it'll be fitting."
Nyx tilted her head. "Umber?"
"Yeah?"
