Okay, so good news guys. I'm on terminal leave, and I'm just waiting on them to email me my DD214, because you can't outprocess in person dude to covid. But my time in the army has come to an end. Now unlike in real life, I didn't get a statue of the green weenie as a going away present, I got a pocket knife. And no, no big tiddy anime girl crashed down into a motorhome. So that sucks.
But the good news is, as soon as I have my dd214 in hand, I can apply for the police academy in Anchorage.
Again sorry for the short chapter, but I've been a bit busy trying to get all this stuff moved back home and trying to find a part time job until I can get up to Alaska.
Also I am so glad I have a home gym set up, because all the places are closed in Illinois from what I'm tracking.
Post physique lads
At the motorhome
"YEEAAHHHH BUDDY! LIGHTWEIGHT!" Winter groaned as she looked outside to see Jem.
He recently got his new home gym set up in a small shed outside the motorhome, nothing too fancy, a rack from rogue fitness, some adjustable dumbbells, barbell, shit ton of weight, deadlift platform and a cable machine he made from scrap. He also decorated the place with numerous banners ranging from an American flag to a Norse Fitness flag, it was simple, But he was loving every second of it. Unforturnately, it also meant she had to listen to him scream out like Ronnie Coleman at times.
It was weird as shit. Because she knew enough about Jem to know that he wasn't a fan of Ronnie Colemans physique, he just liked Ronnie Coleman for who he was. It sounded like that shit your girlfriend told you when she said you didn't need to get in shape because she liked your dad bod, it sounded like bullshit. Then again, she tried to not think about it too much. All she knew was that Jem had his picture on a wall in the motorhome, right next to other dudes whose physiques he admired. It sounded gay now that she thought about it, but Jem would always say the same thing.
"I'm not gay, Its just I can admire when another dude is sexy as fuck." And that just confused the hell out of Winter even more.
He would always brush it off as 'building up the homies' But again, he used that same excuse last chapter. And it was driving her nuts.
She was really hoping he was straight.
She took a few steps outside and suddenly froze.
Why was she HOPING he was straight?
She wasn't homophobic or anything like that!
Then again, she did remember that one time she took that wrong turn into the Atlas pride parade and saw a guy dressed as a stegosaurus except the spine were made out of dildos and it traumatized her for life, but she didn't find gays repulsive.
So why was she hoping Jem was straight?
Oh no! She was not going through this again!
"EVERYBODY WANNA BE A BODYBUILDER! NOBODY WANNA LIFT THIS HEAVY ASS WEIGHT! AHHHHH I DO IT THOUGH!" Ronnie colemans voice broke out through the loudspeakers as she had to take a look inside the shed gym.
"What are you-" She was cut off as she looked at Jem.
He was wearing green tight short shorts and nothing else as he was going for a squat PR, all while she saw Ronnie Coleman was playing on a laptop in the corner while his wireless speaker amped up the sound.
"Oh hi Winter!" He said as he did his 1 rep max and walked over.
Suddenly she saw how the light glistened off his sweaty body. Her eyes roaming over the new definition from his muscles being primed due to the workout he had been doing. Jem had started to cut a lot of body fat since it was the summer time, so he was looking more lean than he usually was. Before he looked a bit like a pale uruk hai, but now he was looking a bit like Henry Cavill in immortals. Didn't help that the shorts he was wearing also went up to the middle of his quads, so it was showing off even more. Winter felt her heart beat speed up a little. Her eyes traveled down further noticing even his calf muscles were starting to come in.
Only for the sight to be ruined by the camouflage crocs.
"Really?" She still couldn't believe he wore those things.
"They're super comfy, and these got me through so many field problems." He said doing a slight jig with them.
"They look horrid."
"Hey, you try on a pair of crocs, I guarantee that you won't regret it." He said holding up a pair of white and blue crocs.
"No!"
"Hi Winter!" Nala came running in.
Wearing a pair of Lion king Crocs.
"Oh you got to be kidding me!" She said face palming.
"They're super comfy!" She said as they felt like little clouds.
"But they're...they're crocs!" Winter said and Jem got mad.
"Look Winter, I got one thing to say, everyone gives a lot of shit to crocs because they look bad, and yeah they do, but trust me, these things are super comfy, that it won't even matter what others think. Just..." He held up the pair of crocs.
"Try it on." He said as she walked away.
"...Or not." He said as he put the pair down.
"To be fair Mr. Jem, these don't look good." She said even though she was enjoying them.
"I know, but to be fair I only wear them when camping or around the house."
"Speaking of which, why were you using them to workout?"
"Oh I wasn't. I stepped outside to get some fresh air for a second, and my gym shoes got soaked, so I needed to improvise."
"And your first choice was crocs?"
"It was the closest thing I had at the time."
Back on Remnant
Ironwood was frustrated, they were working on producing more dust, but the samples they were getting were coming along too slow. Who knows how long it would be before they could form a rescue mission. Not to mention they would need plenty for the return trip. If that little faunus girl hadn't rushed in here, they would have figured this whole thing out a long time ago. But that was no longer the case.
They did end up sending a small surveillance drone through. And that was when they ran into another problem. The dust while it did send them to the same world Winter had been sent to, it also had sent it to a different part of the world.
And that part of the world happened to be some place called Detroit.
Where the drone was promptly destroyed by a crackhead shortly after its arrival.
But not after it had captured footage of crime, death and destruction beyond its wildest dreams.
Now, Ironwood didn't know if the rest of the world was like this, but all in all, if Detroit was anything to go by, he didn't want Winter staying in that world for too long.
So now here was trying to expedite the process as fast as he could. But there was only so much he could do.
