Okay, So this chapter is a little shorter because I wanted at least one more 'misunderstanding' before they meet. And I don't want a plain rip off of 'Tucker and dale vs evil' Mostly because I know the Ace ops are smarter than college kids.
Granted its not that hard, I would estimate roughly 80% of college kids have no idea what the fuck is going on. Mostly because college is a protective bubble from the outside world. Once you leave, if you don't have a good head on your shoulders, you are fucked.
"Okay, so lets go over what we know, Team RWBY, JNPR and Winter have somehow been subdued by some crazy redneck doing who knows what to them, somehow he's strong enough to take them on, which means humans here are a lot stronger than we initially thought. On top of that, he has to be pretty terrifying considering Winter was begging him for Mercy earlier." Clover was not liking the way things were looking.
"So what are we waiting for? Lets go!" Harriet said as she was ready to go in guns blazing.
"Again be patient!" Clover didn't want to go into this mess with his pants down.
"Look I'm just saying, maybe this isn't as complicated as we thought, you did say their aura was affected by being here, maybe they just used up so much and thats how he's able to get them to bend to his will that easily." Elm said as it was the only possible explanation.
"Look, its simple, lets just charge in, its not like he can take all of us, we're still fresh out of Remnant, I guarantee you we can take him easily." Marrow said as they approached the cabin.
"What about the little girl?" Goodwitch asked as something was off about this whole situation.
Granted she was also mad when she saw the redneck carry her student into the house. But that little girl didn't seem to be a psycho hillbilly. Looked more like a normal kid.
"Well shes like 8 so I doubt she'll put up a fight." Harriet said as Marrow looked horrified.
"We are not knocking out a kid!" He said as Harriet waved her hands.
"Woah, I was not suggesting that, just that she won't be a problem." Geez, this wasn't some kind of movie where their personalities suddenly went psycho for no reason.
"Look, I'm just saying, we'll move up, you stack on me, and we'll flow into the house, take him out, and then snatch and grab easy as that." Clover said as he wanted to avoid anything unpleasant.
They all nodded and got ready.
Meanwhile outside
"Feeling better?" Jem asked Winter as Nala was cleaning a pistol.
"Much, but I thought you said milk wasn't good when it came to heat?" She asked as she was confused.
"No, what I said was Milk isn't good for OC SPRAY, people get this misconception that it helps, which yeah it kind of does, but frankly I found its also a hindrance, my trick is regular cold water, dawn dish soap, scrub out the eyes, then when the heat starts to die down, and you're feeling relatively normal, and your skin is dry, take strips of duct tape, put them around your eyes, and pull them off, it helps get some of the little crystallized bits off." He said as she looked at him confused.
"...How do you know that?"
"Oh, I had to get OC sprayed because I got stuck on gate guard detail for three months, so I had to get sprayed to get qualified to use it."
"Why do you need to get sprayed to use it?"
"I think its so you understand that it hurts like a bitch, me personally I would rather get my ass kicked then get sprayed." He said as Nala twirled her pistol around.
"All done Mr. Jem!" She said as she gave them the pistols.
"So what are we doing?"
"Ever played Annie Oakley?" He asked as she shook her head.
"Well, its a trap shooting game, but this is my version of it, each of us take a 1911, and I got some pop up targets over there, if you hit it, no one else can hit it, if you miss it, I have a chance to pick up a point, the targets are only up for a set amount of time, so if you don't finish in times, that counts as a miss, and it goes back and forth til one of us gets more points, we'll do this in rounds of five." He said as he liked playing Regular Annie Oakley, but he liked his pistols better than shotguns.
"Just sounds like target shooting with extra steps." She said as Nala came over.
"But its fun!" She said as Winter looked at her.
"Wait you've played this game before?"
"Yeah! Mr. Jem took me out shooting a few times!" She said as she got lined up.
"Wait, should we be shooting right now?" Winter asked.
"Nah, we got nothing to worry about, its only us out here, and this is the only cabin for mile." He said as they had nothing to worry about.
"Watch!" She said as she started with her pistol in her holster.
With the Aesops
"Okay, looking good so far."
BANG BANG BANG!
"OH SHIT!" Marrow felt a bullet zip by him.
"What the hell?" Clover took cover as they looked off into the distance.
"Not bad Nala, but you missed that last one." The redneck said as he got lined up and pulled a pistol out.
"Oh shit they can see us!" Harriet said as even though they had aura to protect them, it didn't necessarily mean bullets wouldn't hurt like a bitch.
"Aww, but that last one was a moving target!" She said as Jem smiled.
"Tell you what, for fun, why don't we just mag dump for a bit?" That did not sit well with the ace ops.
They saw the redneck pulled out two big ass extended magazines full of .45 rounds.
"Where did you get these? These look illegal?" Nala asked as she noticed it was actually two extended magazines welded together, so that when you ran out of one, you just take the mag out, flip it upside down, and stick it back in.
"Didn't I tell you all gun laws are unconstitutional? Besides who cares, this is just for fun." He said as they loaded up.
"You're right, but I'm still going to try and shoot them if thats okay." Now THAT was something Goodwitch wasn't expecting to hear.
That sweet innocent little girl actually WANTED to shoot them? What the hell kind of backwoods world was this?
"Eh, okay, if you can get them all, I'll grill you a steak tonight." So thats how he was doing it.
He was bribing that little girl with food!
"Yee yee! Imma get them all." And with that she took aim.
BANG BANG BANG!
Needless to say the Ace ops soon realized they would need to wait until dark when they had gone to bed to sneak in and get everybody
