UEIS HQ
???, Japan
Mirko can be seen punching and kicking the punching bag violently, her eyes dilated as she breathes heavily. Izuku's and Godzillo's words continue to play in her mind, haunting her thoughts like a ghost whispering in there.
The louder the words are, the more violently she punches or kicks the punching bag. The others could only watch in awe and fear as she relentlessly unleashed one hell of a beatdown on the poor innocent punching bag.
"RRRAAARRRGGHHH!!!!" She roars as lightning crackles violently on her fist before she lands a punch on the bag, causing it to explode. The sand in her bag immediately turns into shards of glasses flying, lightning hits one of the lightbulbs as the lights in the whole room flicker.
Mirko breathes heavily as she stares at the destroyed punching bag, her body is shaking violently, and static electricity flows on her skins and furs. She then blinks when out of nowhere, someone shoves a bottle of carrot protein shake right on her face.
"...you know, there are better ways to give someone a drink." Mirko huffed before turning around to see Godzillo with an amused smile. "You here to gloat? If so, then do as much as you want."
"...is it wrong to worry about my friend?" Godzillo asked as Mirko simply grabbed the bottle and drank it. "So, how's the talk?:
"...no talk." Mirko mutters as Godzillo blinks.
"...no talk? Not even a word? A stutter? aa noise?" Godzillo asked as Mirko huffed.
"I got cold feet," Mirko mutters as her face turns red.
"...who are you and what have you done with the rabbit heroine of Japan?" Godzillo asked as Mirko glared at him. "Joking aside, I would never in my life expect the confident Rumi Usagiyama to admit to me that she got cold feet."
"...there's a first time for everything," Mirko mutters as Godzillo frowns.
"...okay, what happens?" Godzillo asks as both walk towards a bench to sit down.
"...I overheard the kid's talking about his past. He was quirkless...and a victim of a bully." Godzillo takes note of Mirko giving a disgusted expression. "I...heard that...he said I remind him of his bully...especially at the choice of words I use to taunt him..."
"...you never seem to be affected by what I said so, why did you react differently?" Mirko flinched before looking away in shame.
"...because I always think that you didn't mean it...because you and Kugo know the real me...so, I always brush it off. Hearing strangers compare me to their bullies...from a first impression..." Godzillo frowns but he supposes he somewhat understands her logic.
"...I mean every word I said to you, Mirko." This made Mirko flinch even more.
"...yeah, I realize that too late..." Mirko mutters before drinking her shake as Godzillo sighs.
"Go and apologize to him." Godzillo bluntly stated, causing Mirko to spit out some of the drink and coughs violently. "Why are you so shocked? It was the only logical explanation."
"I...I can't...I screwed up badly..." Mirko mutters. "I...I don't think he'll even forgive me. I messed up so badly..."
"You deserve it." Mirko flinched in Godzillo's bluntness. "You did mess up, and he has every right not to forgive you. So, why are you trying to avoid it?" This causes Mirko to pause. "When did you become such a coward, Rumi? You should've accepted your mistake, but instead, you run away from reality."
"I do not!" Mirko shouts in anger.
"Then why aren't you out there and admit your fault!? Instead, you got cold feet, scared, and nervous about apologizing for something you did! When did the Rumi I know become such a coward!?" Godzillo roars back at Mirko, causing her to flinch. "If he refuses to accept your apology, earn it! Didn't you say that you become a hero by earning it through hard work!? Or are those nothing but empty words!?"
Mirko stares at Godzillo with wide eyes, before gripping her fist and punching her left cheek with all her strength. She hiss in pain before shaking her head.
"Y-you're right...I was being a coward...I almost broke my motto..." Mirko mutters before gripping her fist tightly. "I...should apologize to the brat. He at least deserves it. If he refuses, then I'll just earn it!"
Godzillo stares at his old friend before he smiles and nods.
"Good, I managed to knock some of your senses back." Godzillo comments before he frowns. "And I suggest you try not to call him a brat. It'll only make it worse."
"...I guess you're right," Mirko said sheepishly. "I'll go apologize to the green haired br-, I mean br-, Umm, what I mean is br-, kid!! Kid!! I was trying to say kid!!!"
Godzillo blankly stares at her blushing in embarrassment before face clawing.
"Oh, lord, give me strength..."
With Izuku
Izuku sneezed violently several times before he rubbed his nose irritatedly.
"Damn it, is this one of those 'people talking behind my back' shit? I thought it was only in fiction." Izuku grumbles as Kirishima pats his back.
"You read too many fiction stories," Kirishima said as Izuku sighed.
"I guess..." Izuku rubs his head. "..."
"You okay?" Kirishima asked.
"I wonder...how am I supposed to apologize to her? I mean, how should I start? 'Umm, Miss Mirko, I'm sorry for calling you pet bunny?' or 'Miss Mirko, I'm sorry for calling you a bitch and almost kill you?'. I don't know how to start without sounding weird! I still can't believe I did all that to a hero of all people!! Oh, god! I did so many wrong shits! I question how is she a hero! I call her a bitch! I punch her in her crotch of all places!!! I, I, I!!!" Izuku starts hyperventilating after everything starts to hit him like a train. He was so distracted by the fact that he almost killed another person that he only started to think of everything else.
"Hey, hey, breathe," Kirishima said as he petted his shoulder, calming Izuku down. "Look, for apologizing, why don't you just start with 'Hey, Miss, I'm sorry for earlier.' instead? It's much simpler and all." Izuku stares at Kirishima before pulling him into a hug.
"I owe you one, bro!" Izuku said.
"You owe me nothing!" Kirishima snorts as he gently pushes Izuku away. "But, between you and me, she should be the only one who apologizes."
"Kiri, we talk about this. I was the one who reacted to her taunts immaturely." Izuku sighs.
"...I swear you're too nice," Kirishima mutters.
"Kiri, I almost kill her. Even after everything she did, she doesn't deserve to be killed." Izuku explains as Kirishima sighs.
"I guess you have a point." Kirishima didn't like the fact that his friend/savior had to deal with such guilt. He wanted to help, but he didn't have the experience or knowledge to help him.
"...hey," Izuku called Kirishima, getting his attention. "Thanks...for staying on my side..."
"...why are you even thanking me? I did nothing." Kirishima asked in confusion.
"You being here is enough," Izuku said as Kirishima widened his eyes. "I still owe you my life for giving me a chance to beat that boss."
"Didn't you return the favor fully by saving my dying ass?" Kirishima retorts.
"Hey, just accept the thanks and stop complaining," Izuku said while lightly punching his shoulder.
"And you should stop thanking me for nothing!" Kirishima lightly shoves Izuku away as they both laugh together.
"So...how's your brother?" Izuku asked.
"Well, thanks to Gang Orca, he finally got a chance to go back to elementary school," Eijirou exclaimed excitedly before frowning. "But, he did mention how he was lacking compared to other kids. I guess that's what happens for spending time in the hospital unconscious for months..."
"You know I can help to tutor him, right?" Izuku said.
"What!? You don't need to! I can do it myself!" Kirishima shakes his hand and head.
"Sorry, buddy. I refuse your refusal." Izulu grins.
"T-that's not how it works!"
"Well, now it is!"
Both boys start to banter playfully before they stop after seeing a certain figure. In front of them is Mirko giving a determined expression.
"Mirko..." Izuku utters as Kirishima stands in front of Izuku, protectively shielding him from the rabbit woman. Said woman raising her hand, trying to ease the tension
"Look, I'm not here for funny business," Mirko said. "I would like to talk with the b-kid,"
'She's about to call him/me brat, didn't she?' Both boys thought with dry expression, something that didn't go unnoticed by Mirko, who sighed.
"Look, we can all agree we started on the wrong foot-." Kirishima cuts her off in an enraged tone.
"You kick my friend out the window! That's more than starting on the wrong foot!" Izuku places his hand gently on Kirishima's shoulder. "Izu-!"
"Alright, you want to talk. Let's talk. Alone." Izuku said as Eijirou pulled him away.
"Are you crazy!? I get you want to apologize, but doing it alone!? No fucking way!" Eijirou said as Izuku placed his hand on both of the boy's shoulders.
" Don't worry," Izuku said with a soft smile before gently moving Kirishima away while looking at Mirko. Eijirou can't help but worry for Izuku as he watches both he and Mirko walk away.
