Okay guys, so here's the thing. Originally when I wrote the Elm bit in, I wrote it in as a joke. But the more I think about it, the more I realized 'Hey this could work.'

But the main pairing is still Jem/Winter, and no, this will not be a Jem/Winter/Elm fic. In real life I am Monogamous, so I refuse to do anything that doesn't reflect that value. Plus I already have a plan for how I want things to go down.

THAT being said, the thought of a spin off one shot with Elm might happen just because I got my curiosity up. But then again, I can't imagine writing a spin off and not having it just devolve into something weird.

Oh another thing, I am thinking about continuing 'Out of time' granted it no longer connects to out of place since I revamped it, but keep in mind it also started around the time frame before Out of Place became a crack fic. So again it could still work.

Ulfhedanar of Menagarie is under serious writer block.

Dracula Arc I honestly forgot about, but would eventually like to revisit, since I did really enjoy Dracula untold.

As for any fics I currently have ideas for, honestly no Idea, I think at one point I did a self insert in a self insert, but I honestly don't know, I mean fuck I know I'm lonely, but I'm not THAT lonely.

"Winter...you really got to learn to think before you speak." Alex said as he was squeezing the bridge of his nose as he closed his eyes while looking down at the ground.

"I'm sorry! I was worried for him!" She said as it seemed like the right thing to do.

"But you insulted the man's strength! For gods sake, he goes to the gym not just to look good, but because he likes to feel strong! What you did was a form of emasculation! And on top of that, Elm was there to cheer him on, and practically gave him a hug with her big arms!" Alex huffed as he could swear Jem was close to getting a boner.

"Well how was I supposed to know she would warm up to him that quickly? For Oums sake, it took me awhile to warm up to him! You think a member of the ace ops wouldn't be so friendly with a stranger that up until a few hours ago she thought was trying to kill me!" Winter tried to defend herself.

"UHMMMM! News flash Winny! When you first arrived, you destroyed his motorhome and held a knife to his throat! OF COURSE it took him awhile to warm up to you! He met Elm by seeing her as he was coming back from the butcher shop! And on top of that it was after you all had cleared up the misunderstanding, meaning there was no ill will in the room, meaning the setting was comfortable. ON TOP OF THAT, we didn't realize he loved Tomboys at the time! So you take a man whos already riding a dopamine high for getting steaks from the butcher, combined with the happiness of being out in the woods with people he cares about, and you give him someone who is practically the woman of his dreams, of course hes going to warm up to her faster!" Alex said all in one breath.

Winter was amazed at his powers of observation and logic when it came to relationships.

"Oh, and lets also not forget Elm overall seems like a big tough woman, but she also appears to be one of the nicest girls ever!" Alex knew all about Winter's origins and how she got here.

And he had watched all the RWBY albums ahead of time, and he knew that Elm's character description from Roosterteeth was 'Big buff lady with a heart of gold.' Well at least that was how her voice actress described her on the wiki page. But he didn't know if that was accurate or not. The point was he had a pretty good assessment of her personality. And it looked like she would be the encouraging sport tomboy GF type.

Which did not help the situation AT ALL.

"...Okay I get it, I messed up." Winter said as she felt like a kicked puppy.

Never did she think that a man more feminine than her would make her feel like a child being scolded by a parent.

Alex sighed as this was frustrating. Not just because of how clueless Winter was. But also another reason.

He thought it through, and he could actually see Jem and Elm as a cute couple. Which was sad because he had his own shipping plans. But if something naturally developed between those two, he couldn't stop it, nor would he want it to. That would be a dick move.

"Winter you have to understand, a man doesn't want a woman who puts him down, they get enough of that from society in general, if you want to date someone, you can't spend your time degrading them, sure they will mess up sometimes, sure sometimes they screw up, but they TRY. They try so hard to improve themselves in everyday life, and the last thing they want is a woman to tell them they're failing. If you can't be someone he can count on, it doesn't look well for you. You don't have to be a kiss ass, but you also don't have to put him down because you don't believe he can do things." Alex explained as there was a reason him and his girlfriend had such a healthy relationship.

And no, it wasn't just because he was hung like a moose.

"I'm sorry, its just I have no experience with this." She said as Alex sighed.

"Well, it could be worse, you're lucky Jem isn't into the mommy type girlfriend." Alex sighed as he looked confused.

"A what?"

"Mommy type girlfriend, you know the kind of girlfriend you can lean your head into her chest while you play video games and she encourages you and tells you what a good boy you are?" He said as Winter looked disturbed.

"What kind of weird shit do you guys see on the internet?"

"You think thats bad, you should see the debate between tomboy outback and femboy hooters."

"...I don't think I want to know." She said as Alex flipped his hair.

"THE POINT IS, we're going to have to focus our efforts to get Jem to notice you...hehe Notice me senpai." Alex giggled a bit as Winter deadpanned.

"Worst case scenario is you lose, best case scenario is you win, and weird as fuck case scenario is you share, but that only happens in desperate virgin fanfiction." Alex said as he helped Winter get on her feet.

"Now, you said you won't cut your hair, okay fine, but at least let it hang loose, that bun you do in the back makes you look too much like your mother, and Jem isn't into Milfs." He said as Winter choked on the soda she was drinking.

"Excuse me?!" She couldn't believe what she just heard.

"Oh please funny, I've seen the fan art of your mom, she is beautiful, but that being said, Jems not into women who have a decade or two of age ahead of him." He was just making an assumption but it seemed safe to assume Jem wasn't into moms.

Then again, he didn't think Jem was into tomboys.

The point was, he could be wrong.

"So what now?" Winter asked as she still couldn't believe she was going along with this.

"Well, you won't change your hair, so how about we just change your clothes? Maybe if you dress more sporty he'll notice a change?" He suggested.

"Define sporty."

"Well, Jem saw Elm wearing a skin tight shirt that showed off her abs and short shorts, why not just change into track shorts and a sports bra, you got some nice muscle tone, why not show it off?" Alex said as Jem had already missed out on seeing her in a bikini.

"But we're not in a gym setting?" She said as it didn't make sense for her to wear it.

"Ugh Winter, Not everything has to be regulated to the Atlas military manual." He would have to teach this girl the way of the Earthlings.

"Look, you have a very firm and toned butt, and those legs are especially nice and athletic, Its the kind of thing Jem would go for, and babe, don't even get me started on your abs, you have the muscle tone Jem would get turned on by, its just you don't have the same size as Elm, so work with what you got, and go get your man!" Alex said as Winter still didn't feel comfortable about this.

"I don't know, it just seems too out of character for me, if I start doing this out of nowhere, Jem will think somethings wrong with me, and I'm just not ready to admit these...these feelings to him." She said as they had been growing for awhile, but she was embarrassed.

"Winny, look, I know you don't like the idea of Jem being attracted to just your body, but don't worry, while physical looks are a big part, I guarantee you that he doesn't just look at looks, if he enjoys you as a person, you should be set. But at the same time, you also have to remember hes still human, and if he sees something he finds attractive, the brain in his little head is going to try and lets its voice be known."

"Look, sadly, the gym is out of the question, I think its safe to say the Gym is Elm's territory now." Alex said as he looked over to see that Elm was hyping Jem up for a bench.

"...And looks like she is the best kind of gym partner to have." He said as he had never seen Jem look so intense.

Whether it was from the fact that at his point of view, he could see two perfect breasts and abs, or from the fact he was just suddenly a lot stronger, was beyond...waaaiiit a minute.

"Winter...you said you unlocked his aura right?" Alex asked as she nodded.

"Yeah why?"

"Well...Jem couldn't squat 405 before, and you said he got a slight boost from having it unlocked right?"

"Yeah, but nothing significant, just a slight increase in strength and stamina."

"...Well that explains how he squatted all that weight despite never lifting that much." Alex said as he was practically getting a free steroid burst without the negative side effects.

"Well, forget about all that. Because right now we got to focus on getting you something you and Jem can do together." He said as saw Elm walking over.

"Excuse me Miss Schnee." Elm was being polite.

"Please, just Winter while we're out here." That surprised Elm a bit, she had heard about the infamous Ice Queen, so to see her acting kind of friendly was unexpected.

"Well, we came here to rescue you, but it seems like you don't really need us to." She said as Winter nodded.

"Yes, and your point?"

"Well...we were expecting a quick snatch and grab, so we were wondering if we could possibly stay a little bit longer?" She asked as they had been enjoying the relaxing cabin by the lake.

"I don't think General Ironwood would approve."

"Well, he did give us any amount of time to complete the mission, he preferred to have it done as soon as possible, but that was due to how dangerous he thought this world up, but Jem just finished explaining to me that you can't base a country or world based on the hell hole that is Detroit." Elm said as that was kind of funny.

"...Very well." She said as Elm smiled.

"Perfect! Jem gave me his room in the cabin to sleep in!" Elm said as Winter felt something crack the sane part of her brain.

"Excuse me?" She asked seriously considering what she was about to do next.

"Well, they found room for all the others, but there wasn't enough room for me, so Jem gave me his room. Said he would sleep outside in a tent he brought." She said as she saw Jem setting up a small camp area.

"...Wait why did he bring a tent out to a cabin?" Winter was confused.

"He said something about 'Being prepared' and also wanting an excuse to break out his Flektarn tent." Elm just smiled.

"Still though, hes a nice guy, surprised he's single." And THAT got Winter's attention.

"HOW DO YOU KNOW?" She said barely keeping her emotions in check.

"Oh, he told me while we were working out together, believe it or not he can be a good conversationalist, plus he seems so much more relaxed while working out." She said as Alex grumbled.

"Or maybe it was the two big anime tomboy waifu tiddies." He said under his breath so Elm couldn't hear.

"I'm going to go talk to him." Winter said as she walked away.

"Hm, she seems off? DId she eat something spicy again?" Elm asked being confused.

"Well, shes got a problem with something she finds hot." Alex said as he walked away.

Winter walked over to where Jem was setting up his tent, she looked down at how she was dressed. She wasn't dressed in the tomboy style Alex told her about, but she was dressed just enough that Jem could see her muscle tone.

"Why do you have a german army tent?" She asked as she recognized the camo pattern from the Bundeswehr.

"Oh this? Well, when I was in the army, I came across this tent called a litefighter, and I never got to use it but it was nice for when I went camping. But sadly to buy one of those outside the army is expensive, and they were used mostly by POGs. So when I got out, I wanted to buy one, but didn't want to buy a standard OCP tent. And I've always loved the German army camo pattern, it just looks good." He said as he finished setting it up.

"...Thats a two person tent." Winter said as she noticed it was a bit bigger than she thought.

"Oh yeah, Nala wanted to use the one man tent, so Its good I brought this spare along." He said as he started a small campfire and started to make coffee.

"...Do you mind if I join you out here for a bit?" She asked as he odded.

"Be my guest. I don't mind." He said as he was boiling water.

Winter smiled.

It wasn't much but it was a start.
