Okay guys, sorry I've been MIA, but unlike your dad, I came back.

So the US has gotten...weird since I last updated. I never would have thought we would see people going topless at the white house, bud light losing its position as the number 1 beer in the US, and now cocaine might have been found in the white house?

I swear, is it just me or is the world starting to sound like the original version of out of place? Because half the shit I see going on in the world sounds like a chapter I would write when I was drunk off my ass.

Anyways, hope you all enjoy the new chapter.

"Bye Honey, have a nice day." Jem said as he dropped Nala off at school.

People thought it was weird that Jem came to drop Nala off at school. They would have thought that a councilman would have better things to do. But Jem didn't want to portray himself as some untouchable douchebag. He needed to show the people of Mantle that he was just an ordinary guy the same as them. Because if there was one thing he knew, was that politicians were often so disconnected with their constituents. He remembered back home when some lady told people to buy electric cars when they couldn't afford high gas prices. How big of a douche did you have to be to say something like that?

Jem knew he was probably going to say something that pissed people off at least once a week. But God help him it would be for something he believed in and not some stupid shit like that.

"Hey boys, we doing alright?" Jem asked the security team outside the school.

"Living the dream Sir." Jem smirked a bit when he said that.

"That means you would rather be doing something else right?" He asked as one of them tried to make an excuse.

"Guys guys, I'm joking. I used to say that in the army all the time, when in reality I was thinking 'God I wish some stray shrapnel would just hit me right in the face.'" He said as the security team had a look of concern but also a slight grin.

"Well, to be fair Sir. This job is pretty boring." The one on the right said.

"Hey, better for it be boring then for anything crazy to happen right?"

Jem talked to them for a little bit longer until he decided to leave.

He walked back over to where his SUV was.

Little did he know he was being watched from afar.

"There we go you son of a bitch..." A voice said as her hand hovered above a detonator.

Nala came running out of the school.

"Dad! I forgot my lunch!" Nala said as Jem turned around.

"Oh, don't worry Honey, I'll ge-"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM

An explosion came from the car behind Jem as he was lunged forward by the force. Nails being dug into his back.

Nala felt a splash of blood on her face as she looked down at her father.

"DAAADDDYYYY!" She screamed in horror as Jem was letting out a gurgling sound.

Immediately the security team responded, completely shocked at what had just happened.

The school was put on lockdown while the security teams searched the entire area for more bombs.

A school nurse tried to get Nala away from her father, but the girl just held his head in her arms too terrified to let him go.

When the paramedics arrived, they had to force her away while they started to work on him.

'We got to get him to a hospital now!" One of the paramedics said as they loaded him onto a bullhead.

A police officer sat Nala down to the sound and tried to calm her down. But so far it wasn't working. She begged to go with her father. But there wasn't any room of the bullhead. But the officer said he would drive her to the hospital herself.
