Third Person Pov

"I killed Sirius Black! I killed Sirius Black!"

"Well, well, well, look what we have here. It's itty bitty Bonham. She's all bright, and shiny, and new again, just in time for you Dolohov."

"Cissy, put the boys in the cellar! I'm going to have a conversation, just us girls."

"That sword is meant to be in my vault at Gringotts, how did you get it?! Did you and your friends take it from my vault?!"

"I'll get rid of you just like your whore of a mother!"

Letty

Letty

Wake up, come on. You're just dreaming.

Letty!

The young brown skin girl jumped up from her sleep, eyes crazed with her Blackthorn, Phoenix feather core wand secure in hand.

The concerned whiskey brown eyes of her best friend stared back at her as she laid a gentle hand on her cheek.

"Breath Vi, it's just me. You're safe, we're back at your grandparents remember."

Letty shook as she tried to catch her breath, the past month since the battle of Hogwarts had done nothing to tamper her paranoia from being on the run for a year.

"I'm sorry." Letty placed her wand back down and Hermione gently joined their hands giving her a look full of understanding.

Night terrors and insomnia were the new normal between the tight group of four. The fall of Voldemort didn't do shit to get rid of the uneasiness they all still dealt with, and they all had pulled their wands out of reflex more than they ever had before.

"Which one was it this time?" Hermione scooted back against Letty's headboard stretching out.

"The DOM and Malfoy manor, I got a double header. Lucky me."

Letty grumbled irritated, leaning against the headboard next to Hermione, leaning her head on her surrogate sister's shoulder.

"How much did you have last night?" Mione nodded toward a half empty bottle of one of Papa Eli's Ogden's Old firewhiskey on the nightstand.

"Enough to knock me out, I snuck it out of the cabinet around 1. Nanan doesn't want me taking dreamless sleep anymore, scared I'll get addicted." Letty snorted sardonically, grabbing her wand and levitating over the bottle and 2 glasses.

Letty's Pov

I quickly poured our glasses about halfway and we both downed the spirits like it was nothing, finding comfort in the warmth that settled.

This was commonplace for the past month, none of us were dealing with the end of the war very well. We had spent the last year running for our lives and living in the woods. We had been cursed, beaten, and tortured; we had watched our friends and people we loved be murdered right in front of our eyes.

When I close my eyes I can still see the countless bodies scattered around the Hogwarts grounds. A lot of them were just kids, kids who didn't care about so-called "blood purity". Kids who just wanted the chance to experience the wonderful gift of magic.

"You up to coming with me today? We're working on the astronomy tower. Professor McGonagall thinks that we should be able to get it done before it gets dark." Mione looked at me with badly hidden worry in her eyes.

"I'll be fine Mia. I'll just take a pepper up and chew on some chlorella." I sighed, getting up and stretching. I groaned feeling sharp spasms in the base of my spine and quickly held onto the post of my black stained, mahogany canopy bed to catch my balance.

"You forgot to take your potion again." She tsked grabbing a bottle of wiggenweld potion from the case that rested on my dresser.

"It tastes like shit, and I haven't had any spasms or shakes for a week." My new found condition is all thanks to the lovely Bellatrix Lestrange. We were captured by snatchers while we were on the run, and that psychotic bitch took turns using the cruciatus and her cursed blades on me and Mia, while the boys were trapped in the dungeon in Malfoy manor.

I usually can keep my shakes under control, and I hate taking wiggenweld potion because I think it tastes like thestral dung.

"Don't be such a baby, I'll shove this bottle down your throat if I have to." She stared me down, shoving the bottle in my face, making me roll my eyes and snatch it.

"You don't have to be so aggressive about it." I grumbled, quickly swallowing the green liquid as I tried not to gag.

"And it still tastes like shit." I muttered making her flick my ear.

"Get dressed you big baby or I'll call for Kreacher." She threatened, making me quickly run to get ready. I didn't have the energy to deal with the overbearing, crotchety elf this early in the morning.

After Sirius died, me and Harry were named his heirs in his will. Harry didn't want to be the head of the house even though he's related to them through his grandmother Dorea, meaning the title fell to me. So being the new head of the House of Black combined with helping him fulfill his dear Master Regulus' dying wish, the old elf had made it his life's mission to mollycoddle me. I'll never say it out loud but, I've grown quite fond of the old grouch.

I walked into the bathroom and exhaled deeply tracing the bags under my eyes as I looked in the mirror. I barely recognized the girl staring back at me. My honey-brown eyes had an almost black tint to them, my brown skin lacked its usual glow, which only highlighted my scars. My cheeks had lost their fullness, and had sunken in from having to ration out food between the four of us while we were on the run.

A faded, jagged red line went from my eyebrow, all the way down my cheek on the left side of my face; one of the many marks I got courtesy of Bellatrix. Since it was from a cursed blade no amount of murtlap essence or dittany could get rid of it, they only stopped it from getting inflamed.

You're still the prettiest girl I've ever seen.

Dean's soft voice floated through my head, making me snort unhumorously. He always saw the beauty in broken things.

My neck was marked with a similar injury that went halfway across, courtesy of that Russian bastard Dolohov after the DOM fiasco, a night I wish I could forget.

"I killed Sirius Black! I killed Sirius Black!"

I shut my eyes tightly, taking deep breaths, trying to block out the nightmare that played on repeat in my mind. I shakily exhaled, grabbing a pepper up potion from the medicine cabinet and downed it in one go.

You just have to get through the day.

Third Person Pov

Kingsley Shacklebolt walked with a determined stride as he made his way through the halls of SHIELD headquarters with Remus and Tonks

Lupin by his side. After he received an urgent message from his old associate Director Fury regarding his young cousin Violetta & her biological father, he quickly cleared his schedule securing an emergency port key to the states. No matter how chaotic and busy things were with cleaning up the ministry, family still came first.

He remembered when he was in his 7th year at Hogwarts and his favorite big cousin Gen came back from America, giving everyone the shocking news that she was pregnant. He always looked up to her, she was the reason he joined the Auror force and the Order of Phoenix.

Ever since they were kids Genny had always been easy going and carefree, the only time he had ever seen her shook up is when she found out that she was going to be a mother. She was devastated that she had to leave her child's father, and had confided in Kingsley how much she had loved the muggle man. But he understood why she did what she did, it would have been too dangerous to bring him into their world.

The light came back into Gen's eyes the second little Letty came into the world. Genny was an amazing and dedicated mum, and then with a blink of an eye she was gone. She never got to see the wonderful, strong girl that Letty grew up to be.

Letty came to the family after Sirius died and told them that she had found her mother's journals and knew about her father. But she, like her mother, thought it was too dangerous for him to be involved in her life; losing Sirius only solidified the fact. They all respected her decision and never spoke about it again.

Kingsley had kept his ear to the ground concerning Tony Stark's ongoings throughout the years, in the event that Letty would change her mind.

She hadn't.

Even with the fall of Voldemort, Letty hadn't so much as mentioned her biological father in the last month, being too preoccupied with helping pick up the pieces of their broken society. The once vibrant, hyperactive young girl had turned into a shell of her former self. It was saddening seeing his cousin so on edge, but he had to remind himself that she wasn't a baby anymore. She was a survivor, she had fought in and helped win what most thought would be a never ending war. In the eyes of the Wizarding population, she was a hero, even though she didn't want to be.

When Director Fury had gotten word to Kingsley that Tony Stark had found out about Letty, Kingsley quickly met with his Aunt Margot and Uncle Eli about how they should approach the situation.

They all agreed that Letty was not the most stable at the moment, so they should feel Tony out before they go to her about the two finally meeting. Their main priority was her safety and peace of mind. They didn't think she could handle anything else going wrong in her life. Voldemort might be dead, but there were still plenty of rogue death eaters who evaded capture after the final battle; which meant the young witch still had a target on her back.

Once he was appointed interim Minister of Magic, he made Tonks the head of his security detail, so it was routine for her to go almost everywhere with him. Kingsley had asked Remus to join them because he had been one of Genny's closest friends. They were also some of the very few people that Letty trusted, and he knew that they had her best interest at heart. The couple thought of the young gryffindor as their niece and were fiercely protective over her.

The trio came to stop in front of a familiar face.

"Phil." Kingsley nodded his head politely, shaking the agent's hand.

"Minister, Remus, Tonks," Phil nodded his head with a small smile greeting them, "The Director is expecting you."

"Wotcher Phil, the Director got ya playing peacekeeper does he?" Tonks was unusually stern and somber as of late. The war still had a mental hold on all those involved, and made everyone that much more protective and insular about those closest to them. So the idea of bringing a complete stranger into this tight, makeshift family wasn't exactly appealing.

"I'm just here to escort you to the Director, and I'll be the liaison between you and Mr. Stark, should everything go as planned today. The Director instructed me to give him a crash course on the Wizarding world yesterday, I'm afraid he's still trying to wrap his head around the logistics of magic. And the fact that there's another human being out there with his DNA." Phil stated plainly. When the Director had pulled him from New Mexico so suddenly, he knew whatever his next assignment was had to be of the utmost importance. Finding out that Tony Stark had fathered one of the newly hailed heroes of the British Wizarding community was the last thing he expected, and having to explain the concept of magic to a man who's entire life has revolved around logic and science was no small feat.

The group of four quickly navigated their way through the endless labyrinth and finally made it outside of the director's office.

Phil swiftly walked up to the biometric retinal scanner.

"Agent Philip Coulson, level 8 clearance, access granted." A monotone voice spoke out unlocking the thick black doors.

The quartet made their way inside, finding Director Fury calmly leaning against his desk; while Tony Stark was nursing a glass of what seemed to be bourbon, anxiously jittering about in his seat next to a strawberry blonde who tried and failed to look relaxed.

At the sound of the door opening he quickly sat up in the seat, turning his eyes upwards.

Fury was the first to initiate contact to get rid of the awkward tension in the air.

"Thank you all for coming. I'm sure you have your hands full back at the Ministry." The Director was being unusually and suspiciously polite greeting the witch and wizards.

"Of course, it has been quite difficult dealing with the damage from the war, but this is a family matter." Kingsley spoke neutrally like a true politician shaking Fury's hand.

"Well I'm sure you want to get introductions out of the way, this is Tony Stark and his partner Pepper Potts." Fury motioned over to the couple.

Pepper stood first gaining some of her usual ease back introducing herself to the magicals.

"Thank you for coming." She shook each of their hands before looking back at Tony giving him a reassuring smile.

The genius stood up with false confidence and shook Kingsley's outstretched hand.

"Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt. And this is the head of my security detail, Auror Nymphadora Lupin and her husband Professor Remus Lupin. He was great friends with my cousin Genny and they are both very close to young Letty."

Tony faltered a bit at the mention of Genny's name, but quickly shook Tonks' and Remus' hands.

"You were friends with Gen?" Tony uttered looking at Remus who gave him a solemn smile.

"Yes, since we were children; she was like my sister. She spoke very fondly of you when she returned to England," Remus' voice cracked with emotion making Tonks rub his back in an effort to comfort him, "Letty is almost a carbon copy of her mother. She got her flair for dramatics, and her pension for stirring up trouble, but I'm guessing that she got her inventiveness from you. The girls' practically a savant with charms and runes."

The group of magicals could easily see the quick glimpse of pride that shone in Tony's eyes finding out that his child inherited some of the better Stark family traits.

"Now back to the matter at hand," Kingsley motioned his hand to the seats, "I'm afraid Letty has not been in the best head space for quite a while. She's both mentally and physically scarred from the war.." It seemed like he wanted to go on but was having trouble articulating his thoughts.

His pause made a worry fall over the couple's faces making Remus speak up.

"What Kings means is the war took a toll on Letty, she saw and experienced things that no child should. Letty has known that you are her father since she was 15. But after her godfather Sirius was killed," Remus had to take a second thinking of his friend while Tonks gave his hand a comforting squeeze, "she made the decision not to contact you. She was scared that bringing you into her life would put you in danger."

"She knows about me?" Was all Tony could say, and you would have to be deaf and blind not to see the hope on his face and hear the joy in his voice.

"Yes, she found the journals that Gen kept when she was in America on her assignment. But you have to understand Vi is very fragile. We thought that she would ask about finding you after the final battle, but she never brought it up. She is still under the impression that bringing you into her life is just going to put you in danger. She still feels guilty for the death eaters going after her boyfriend's family." Kingsley stated finally finding his voice.

"Boyfriend." Tony spoke blandly, his eye twitching a little, making Pepper cut her eyes at him.

"Is his family ok?" She spoke up with genuine concern.

"Yeah we got them out of their house before the death munchers could get to them, we set them up at the Bonham safehouse." Tonks said in a rare solemn tone.

"Boyfriend." Tony's mind was still stuck on that word, thinking of how many weapons he had on his person currently.

First task once we leave is getting Jarvis to do a background check on this boy, whoever the hell he was.

"Tony." Pepper scolded him softly.

Tonks found the look on his face extremely amusing and spoke again now with her usual smirk, "Yeah her boyfriend, little Letty has had herself a fella for a while. Her and Dean have been together since their 5th year. Before him she had Viktor Krum chasing after her like a little puppy." The metamorphmagus goaded the genius, wanting to see how big of a reaction she could get and silently patted herself on the back as the man stood up pacing and muttering to himself.

The group could hear him muttering something about paralytic mase, souped up tasers, surveillance, and tracking devices before Pepper had enough and pulled him back down to their shared seat.

"Sit and stay." She spoke sternly before turning back to the group of wizards, making the billionaire continue to mutter to himself.

"What do you suggest we do now? I don't want to put any pressure on Letty, but we would really like to meet her and hopefully form some sort of relationship." Leave it to Pepper to always get the conversation back on track.

"I'll speak to my aunt and uncle, hopefully we will be able to convince Letty. She can be as stubborn as a hippogriff when she wants to be, but it would be good to bring you both into her life. She needs to see that the war can't control her life anymore," Kingsley spoke softly before taking something small out of his pocket, pulling out his wand and casting an engorgio enlarging what appeared to be a photo album, "in the meantime as a show of good faith I brought you a photo album that Aunt Margot put together. It's full of Wizarding pictures so don't be alarmed, but she figured it'd be a window into Letty's life for you."

He handed the album to Tony who clutched it closely.

"Thank you." Everyone pretended they didn't notice a small tear fall down the genius' face.

The couple greedily looked through the pictures; taking notice that the father and daughter shared the same smile.

"That was the day she left for her first year at Hogwarts," Kings pointed out the picture fondly remembering how eager Vi was to get on the Hogwarts Express, "and that was her first quidditch match, she's a wicked chaser." Tonks pointed at a picture of Letty and Harry in their quidditch garb, brooms in hand, arms wrapped around each other's shoulders and their faces pressed together with big smiles.

"Is that Dean?"

"What's quidditch?"

The couple spoke up at the same time, the former being the disgruntled father, which made the wizards all bare amused grins.

"No that is her god brother Harry, but I'm sure there are pictures of her and Dean in there somewhere," Remus chuckled, "and quidditch is a Wizarding game that I would compare to muggle football or soccer I guess it's called here in the states. Letty was a chaser for the school team, her position was like a forward on a football team. She's an extremely talented player."

Pepper grinned at that tidbit knowing that the girl did not get her athletic prowess from her father, so she most definitely got it from her mother.

They flipped through a couple more pages pausing on a picturing of Letty wearing a beautiful Ball gown on the arm of a boy wearing a deep red uniform.

"Is that him?! That's a grown man!" Tony was officially going to have aneurism.

Tonks out right laughed in his face, her hair turning bright pink.

"No bruv, that's Viktor Krum. They didn't date, not really, he just followed her around for a year to be honest. There was a tournament going on between the schools, and I think he just wanted someone to talk to who wasn't a fangirl." The witch shrugged but that didn't make the man worry any less.

"Number one why does he have fangirls and number two how did you do that with your hair, and number three how old is he?!" Tony still stuck on the fact that his daughter was pictured with someone he thought looked like a grown man.

This is payback for all those years of sleeping around isn't it?

Notes:

Yes, Remus and Tonks are alive in my story, I don't have the heart to make Teddy an orphan and love them too much to kill them off. It will be nice for Tony to have another connection to Genny through Kingsley and Remus.

And yes everyone's favorite agent has magical blood.

DOM: Department of Mysteries

Wiggenweld Potion: is a healing potion with the power to cure injuries.

Chlorella: (a freshwater plant) is an excellent choice for combating that dreaded hangover and for preparing the body for the indulgence ahead. It naturally contains a very high level of chlorophyll and a unique component known as Chlorella Growth Factor.

Blackthorn wand: Blackthorn, which is a very unusual wand wood, has the reputation — in Garrick Ollivander's opinion well-merited — of being best suited to a warrior. This does not necessarily mean that its owner practises the Dark Arts (although it is undeniable that those who do so will enjoy the blackthorn wand's prodigious power); one finds blackthorn wands among the Aurors as well as among the denizens of Azkaban and Death Eaters.[2]

It is a curious feature of the blackthorn bush, which sports wicked thorns, that it produces its sweetest berries after the hardest frosts, and the wands made from this wood appear to need to pass through danger or hardship with their owners to become truly bonded. Given this condition, the blackthorn wand will become as loyal and faithful a servant as one could wish.

Phoenix feather core: This is one of the rarest core types.[1] Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn hair or dragon heartstring cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike.[1]

Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won.[1]
