So this is basically the final part of the first 'date' of Glass Joe and Dana and here we kind of get more of a view of how 'normie humans' from Third Earth view the family drama between the Hamato Clan and the Fellowship Herd as the obviously have some gaps in their information because their not on the 'inside'
Glass Joe sighed "All right...It all happened a few days ago..."
And he told her the story about their attempt to recruit some Young Mutants who happened to be Leonardo's Pupils into the W.V.B.A. It seemed the Young Mutants were quite the big fans including a Wolf Mutant named Rover who seemed to be the leader and it was probably his idea, what happened was this group of Mutant Boys encountered two Younger Mutant Girls they knew from the beginner class being...Serenaded by a Wolf Mutant dressed up like a Troubadour and the Boxers had seen Humanimals acting like that before so they didn't give much thought to it...Until Rover invited the two girls into the gym and the Troubadour Wolf followed them in.
At first the strange Wolf Humanimal just seemed to start doing irriatating things for no reason but after some questioning the Wolf-Man went into this tirade about what he wittnessed the 'Wrangler' humans doing and eventually got in a fight with Rover even attempting the snap at the Younger Wolf's throat! That was was when the Boxers grabbed the Troubadour and through him out but not before they learned some disturbing things about this older society namely that they had apparently 'willingly had their tendr emotions removed because they viewed them as weaknesses' and seemed all of Wrangler society was crafted to turn people into Sociopaths incapable of feeling empathy!
Dana licked her lips, which if Joe had known was frequently a sign of nervouseness in animals "Oh wow..." Was all she was able to say
"Indeed..." Joe sighed "...So that's when we realized the potential danger we were in now that we had seen 'a crack in the mask' as it were that it wasn't merely that this older world was not telling us everything, there is potential they are outright lying to us! We fear we may be in danger of befalling the same fate! It became clear that Trobadour Wolf was too interested in the Mutant Girls and we want to know why! Seems they are predatory toward the female mutants and outright hostile to the males! But what we really need to know if this is just an outlier group of Humanimals and weather or not this is done with the approvel or at least knowladge of their Unicorn Queen, that is why we can't tell the Turtles! Because one of them, I believe the one called Donatello married the Queen's 'Herd Sister' as they call her...Piston Hondo said it really does seem to him like too clans intertwining through marriage as a Humanimal Herd seems to be like a Clan, where all the members treat each other like 'siblings by adoption' or something like that with outsiders marrying into the Herd."
Their estimations were mostly right, what they didn't know was that actually the Fellowship Crew Herd was actually quite small for a Herd, that normally a Herd is supposed to be much larger like an actual tribe that actually the Fellowship Crew would be better classified in Humanimal Terms as "Hlessil" or 'Wandering Nomads' obviously things had changed since the First Earth granted Humanimals civil rights but on the subject of 'Humanimal Code Language' nothing scared the leaders of Humanimal Society (And by these the Secret Leaders of the Shamans whose ways are kept secret from the Unicorn Monarchs) than humans learning the secret code words they had gotten from the Rabbit People who were somehow able to keep memories of the culture they had as ordinary animals when it seemed all others had forgotten their culture...These secret leaders HATED that the Fellowship Herd had taught their new human members these words and now the humans used these words when causually joking with humans and Humanimals alike they feared the Wranglers learning their meanings and being able to diciper their codes and perhaps they feared even more now with the the discovery of Third Earth, Third Party Humans learning the code, because at least the Wranglers have been severly brain damaged by mind control and while the Boxers of the W.V.B.A. May have taken many blows to the head they still had better critical thinking than the Wranglers the Shamans did NOT want these new Humans to begin investagating Humanimal Culture and discovering 'certain things' that 'didn't make sense'
"So now you see why we need someone like you..." Glass Joe said to the Mutant Dog who now sat before him "We can't tell your leaders because they are too close to the Queen, tipping of them may tip off the Queen if she is a danger to us so you must be out eyes and ears in Forest."
"I understand completely." Dana said solemnly "I'll...I'll do my best." Obviously being a spy in Forest meant she would have to be seperated from Glass Joe which cut into her own plans but she also knew how serious this situation was so she would try to delay her own plans...For now...To do what Glass Joe wanted her to do.
So obviously I gave some information the Boxers don't yet have and yes the whole 'Rbbit Language' thing is taken straight from Watership Down, I like to imagine the events of both Watership Down and The Animals of Farthing Wood took place in First Earth's 20th Century hence why the Humanimals also have the Oath of Mutual Protection
