Loud banging jolts Kagome awake. She shoots forward to sit up in a panic as she snaps her attention to her door. A soft groan passes her lips as she flops back onto her bed before sighing. She just wanted to sleep without anyone messing with or bothering her. The banging continues much to Kagome's dismay; forcing her to get up, throw on the nearest clothing, then begrudgingly make her way to the door. If it were Ochaco -or any of the girls- they would have just come in by now. Too dazed from lack of sleep to concentrate on who was at her door, she nearly threw it open with an annoyed expression. "What the fuck is so important you have to smash my damn door?" she snaps out as she rubs the sleep from her eyes.

"Didn't know I had knocked on Bakugo's door." A calm yet blunt voice quips. Kagome freezes, recognizing Shoto's voice as guilt rushed her for a moment. "Nope that says Higurashi," he mumbles as he looks at the name placard next to the door.

"Oh my-," a mortified look covers her face as she speaks. "I'm so sorry, I didn't-"

"Get enough sleep it seems." There's a small smile playing on his lips, watching her try to smooth out her bed head and clothes.

"Y-yeah! Exactly!" Now Kagome's nerves were beyond fried at this point. "Is there something you wanted? Ah! Sorry that came out rude, too!" Kagome covers her face with her hands to hide the red blush spilling to her cheeks. "Can we just start over?" A soft chuckle is all she gets in response. Peering through her fingers, Kagome catches the rare glimpse of Shoto smiling. There was a warmth in his eyes that hadn't been there when they first met, nothing forced about his smile, and there was something about his soft laugh that made her heart flutter just a bit. Only for all of those warm fuzzy feelings to be immediately snuffed out by the burning memory from last night. Guilt floods through her all over again as she only smiles back to her friend.

"Well, I wanted to speak with you after class about-"

"About what your dad and Sesshomaru said, huh?" Kagome cuts in this time with a sigh. "Yeah of course. Let me know when you are back and we can talk."

"Again?!" Shippo snaps at the flame villain. He had given up on keeping his confrontations to when Dabi got back from his endeavors, taking to getting at him when they could be separated by the others. "How many fucking times do I have to tell you you're playing with fire you can't control!" Shippo shoves Dabi back by his shoulders. "Did you get dropped on the head as a pup or are you just that brain fried from your own bullshit quirk?!"

"Sounds to me like you're jealous, fox," Dabi retorts with a smirk and seemingly unaffected by the shove. "Anything to do with her and it's like you're a lovesick pup." His words are laced with newfound confidence as he licks his lips, aching to throw blows with the demon in front of him. Dabi could still feel the warmth of her lips on his, how her hand felt gripping his hair, and just how small she was against him. Small and helpless.

"Gods! You don't even realize how fucked you are," Shippo laughs. His tone completely changes as he studies Dabi. There's more energy running through him, an energy that's solely Kagome's. He was covered in her scent and his usually charred smell was replaced with something closer to burnt lavender and honeysuckle.

"Nah, that's next time," Dabi sneers with his smirk firmly in place as he walks past Shippo to get outside. "I'll let you know how she-"

"Speak another word against her and I'll show you what it's like to face a full demon." Shippo couldn't stop the rage building inside at the thought of the patchwork bastard putting his hands on Kagome in such a way. When Inuyasha had tried to speak of her in those ways, Shippo was too weak to do anything about it besides whine and mope. But with this man child, he could finally do something. Even if it meant being condemned by the league.

"Oh look, the little fox is trying to act like a big bad wolf." Dabi couldn't care less; the demon may have known Kagome for much longer than anyone here, but he was claiming her as his.

With the others already in class and the trio back at the dorms, the day is quiet and boring. Kagome sighs to herself as she pushes her half eaten breakfast around on her plate. She didn't have the energy to make idle smalltalk with the others not to worry about how she was affecting the other two members of her trio. Too sucked into her own thoughts on what had happened with Dabi and what is to happen with Shoto later in the day. Maybe in a different universe she would have a normal life with normal friends and none of this nonsense with quirks or demons, heroes, villains, different general laws… The entirety of who and what she is will never be normal. Kagome sighs out again, this time thinking of little Rin and the flower crowns she would make. If only she could make a flower appear each time she sighed like Rin had once wondered about then maybe her trail would be more beautiful and delicate than filled with blood.

"Oi," Katsuki's voice suddenly pulls her away from her thoughts and back to the present. "Take a fucking nap if you're that tired." He pokes her forehead as he leans down a bit. "And don't give me a bullshit excuse."

"Is it that obvious?" she mumbles while focusing her gaze on him.

"No shit," Katsuki deadpans, sitting next to her. "What the fuck were you doing last night?"

"Couldn't sleep, lots on my mind," she manages to get out before she yawns. "I would still be asleep but-"

"The icy-hot bastard paid you a visit." There's a bit of hostility in his voice that he doesn't hide too well.

"Ah so there is a reason you came to talk," Kagome pouts. "And here I thought you liked my company." Usually she filters her words, not wanting to chance negative reactions or unwanted situations, yet being as exhausted as she is, she couldn't care less. Katsuki was near, she was safe, and most importantly, she was tired.

"Gods, Kagome, I'm taking your ass to bed." He hooks his arm behind her knees and swiftly lifts hers. The sudden motion throws her off balance as she wraps her arms around his neck to stabilize herself.

"I'm fine, really," she yawns out, not realizing she was cuddling into his chest. "We've stayed up for 3 days before, remember?" All Katsuki could think about was how hot his cheeks felt in the moment, thanking whatever is watching him that her eyes were closed and blissfully unaware of how red he was just by her closeness and words. He silently begs for his heart to calm before she notices, pleading for his breath to stay even, and for her to keep her damn eye closed. But to have her in his arms like this again, it always felt natural, like it was an instinct he was acting on. An instinct he wouldn't dare fight.

"Of course I remember, I'm not a fucking idiot." He makes his way toward the elevator, not worrying about the dish still on the table.

"It was fun, but man did we crash," Kagome smiles. "Wasn't it a dare? No, it was a bet!"

"That I won."

"Only because you rolled me into a blanket! So you cheated!"

"You still fell asleep first," Katsuki can't help but laugh at her childishness. "And fucking delirious so I had no choice."

"You could have just cuddled me instead," she lets out a small huff, softly drifting to sleep as Katsuki walks. "But making a 'Gome roll outta me was cheating." He had to ignore her comments now, unsure of what to say to keep it casual and not wanting to rouse her from sleep. The rest of the trip was quiet aside from her soft snores and his footsteps. Katsuki opens Kagome's dorm room as best he can with his arms full, slips inside, then uses his foot to close the door behind him. Gently setting her on her bed, his mind trails back to the last time he had done this, back to when she had lost her memory for a time. A time he didn't want to ever think of or relive again. The pain he had gone through emotionally, not knowing if she would ever remember him, or if he had lost her forever. But when she got them back, he couldn't have been happier. Especially the fact that he was the first to know, the first to welcome her back, the first to hold her as she cried.

He starts to move from her, ready to workout for a bit before the others come back from class, only to be stopped by a hand wrist. "Please stay," Kagome mutters, eyes still shut as he fights sleep for a moment. "Please, Katsuki."
