He couldn't say no to her, not with how close he was to losing her. Katsuki sighs with a soft smile dancing on his lips, laying down while sliding his arm under her pillow. Kagome moves a bit to make room, resting her head against him as if it were the most natural thing to do. Katsuki would allow himself this, even if it's just the once. He can feel Kagome drifting off as her breath falls into an even pace, her body relaxing completely against him.
Yet Katsuki doesn't dare to close his eyes, knowing if he were to sleep he wouldn't hear the end of it. Someone would find them, most likely Izuku, when they notice the pair is missing. Or the fact that he hasn't completed his share of chores for today. So he will lay here for a moment, surrendered to her in the comfort of a confined room. No one to bother them if he times it right.
Katsuki gazes down at Kagome's sleeping form, thankful for this silent moment together. When he knows she's not going to awaken over movement, Katsuki gently pulls away from her and stands. He takes another look at his best friend, kisses her forehead, then heads out the door to let her get rest. Katsuki could already feel himself regretting leaving her alone.
The bright blue summer sky begins clouding over, walls shoot up around her, and a large, masculine figure with burning blue eyes stands over her. "Do it again and do it right, Higurashi."
"If you would give me a moment to-" A sharp kick to her side sends her flying back.
"The enemy will not give you a moment for anything." The male is right above her again, reaching down and pulling her to his eye level by her hair. "Not a moment to think, breathe, or scream." The coldness of his words didn't match the heat of his hand against her scalp, his orange flames dancing around them in torment. "Now do it again." He throws her back to her feet, giving her room to move. Kagome scans her surroundings, recognizing the style of the walls from the Todoroki Estate yet there was no sign of Shoto. He was supposed to be here training with her, wasn't he? That was what she remembers the deal being with Sesshomaru, so where was he?
Kagome tries to throw up a barrier to give herself some time to breathe only to find her ki was nearly depleted. She was fit but her melee and unarmed combat strength wasn't nearly enough for this matchup. Panic rushes through her as she sprints away from the advancing male. She needed help, but Shoto wasn't there. Kagome does the only thing she can, the only thing she's ever been good at. She screams for help, for Shoto, to come and save her. Again she's the weak damsel in distress. Again she can't fight for herself. Again she has to rely on someone to save her. Tears form and threaten to spill from her eyes as she screams out for Shoto.
Class was done for the day and the others were back at the dorms, ready to relax and enjoy the remainder of the night. The chatter among the students drown the yelling coming from Kagome's dorm just as it begins. Yet the ever perspective Shoto feels something off. From what he can recall this morning, Kagome was exhausted beyond what she should have been and was definitely due for some rest. He had figured she went straight to bed after he had left her but he can't be sure. Pulling away from the rest of his classmates, Shoto goes to investigate what was happening. In the elevator, he could swear he heard her yelling out his name. That thought puts more urgency to his steps as he gets out on Kagome's floor.
"Shoto, please! Where are you?!" The terror in her words made his heart sink. He hates hearing her cry out like this, hearing his name be yelled in such fear. Shoto nearly breaks her door down, desperate to calm her and make sure she's ok.
"I'm here," he answers, acting on instinct as he pulls her into his arms. "You're ok, I'm here." Kagome's face is buried against his chest, her tears finally falling asleep she grips onto his shirt. He begins to play with her hair, trying to lull her into a more relaxed state as she weeps into his chest. "You're safe."
