Maleficent, hearing some chattering, flew down to a small island in the middle of the river where a group of pixies congregated.
"What's all the fuss about?" Maleficent asked.
"The border guards have discov..."The red fairy, Knotgrass, started before getting cut off by Flittle.
Knotgrass whispered to Thistlewit. "I still miss her,"
"Me too," Thistlewit answered, seeing their blue pixie on the screen.
"Why do you get to tell her? I want to tell her!" In the background, Thistle could be seen becoming inpatient.
"There are rules, Flittle. I tell this time, you tell next time."
"Sound like a stupid rule," Chad said.
"Chad, there is no thing as a stupid rule," Cinderella said to her son.
Maleficent rolls her eyes as Flittle continues. "No, you told last time so I should tell this time, and Thislewit next time."
"Maleficent looks like she's getting annoyed." Snow said knowing the feeling.
"I can't blame her," Jane said.
Maleficent frowned. "Tell me what?"
The red fairy ceded. "Fine!"
"Ah, thank you," Flittle said. "Maleficent, the border guards.."
"The border guards have found a human thief at the Pool of Jewels!" Thistlewit cried coming between them. The other two look at her. "I'm sorry."
"A thief in the Moors?" Audrey questioned.
"It's no new thing, humans have always tried and some succeeded in stealing from the Moors," Aurora answered.
Maleficent's eyes widen in disbelief before taking off into the air, the gust knocking back the three into mid air spins.
"Why so distressed about it," Phillip asked his wife.
"The creatures feared the humans and Maleficent was one of the Moors' protectors." Aurora answered.
Regaining her balance, Thistlewit looks at Maleficent's retreating figure in annoyance. "She's always in a rush with her big wings!"
Knotgrass held her hands to her chest worriedly. "Humans, here. I hope there isn't another war."
"When was there a war?" Ben asked not remembering learning this in school or reading about it in any books.
"My grandfather, former King Henry always tried to take the Moors by waging war against them." Aurora explained.
"Maleficent landed in between two tree creatures who were point spears at a cave entrance. The one to her right grunted something to her.
"I'm not afraid," She told them. "Besides, I've never seen a human up close." She turned back to the cave. "Come out."
"Wait, what did he tell her?" Eugene asked
"Be careful, the human is in there," Aurora and Mal responded at the same time.
Aurora smiled at Mal who smiled back a bit uncomfortable.
"How did you understand that, Mal?" Ben asked.
"Maleficent taught me," Mal said.
"No! They mean to kill me. And besides, they're hideous to look at." The thief's voice replied.
"Why insult them if he was afraid of them," Anna asked.
"He's still an amateur still," Jay said, knowing how he was caught the first time stealing at only three years old.
"That's extremely rude!" Scolded Maleficent. "Don't listen to him, Balthazar. You're classically handsome." She told the guard.
"Strange to hear Maleficent giving a compliment," Adam said.
"Maleficent is still good here, dear." Belle said.
"It's not right to steal, but we don't kill people for it. Come out. Come out this instant!"
"Was this really my mother?" Mal whispered to herself forgetting Ben was sitting next to her.
"Mal," Ben asked.
"This Maleficent and who my mother is are two different fae's." She answered, "My mother taught me how to steal."
"Mal, she did that because you needed to survive the isle," Hades said getting a glare from Mal.
After a few seconds passed, a young boy walked out into view. "Are you fully grown?" She asked.
"No," The boy hesitated.
Maleficent regarded him. "I believe he's just a boy," She told the guards.
The boy said back, "And you're just a girl. I think." He stepped out of the safety of the cave bravely.
"Looks like human meets fae for first time too." Akiho answered.
"Who are you?" Maleficent questioned with an air of authority.
"I'm called Stefan. Who are you?"
Everyone in the room started whispering to each other.
"Could this be the same Stefan as former King Stefan?" Aladdin asked looking at Queen Leah.
"My husband was not a thief," Queen Leah said "So no its not him."
"Its the same Stefan," Hades answered making everyone look at him.
"Why do you say that?" Adam asked.
"She told me when we were together." Hades answered.
"Your lying," Queen Leah shouted.
"One way to find out," Fairy Godmother saif "Lets watch the movie and see what happens."
"I'm Maleficent."
"Still can't believe that," Chad said.
Balthazar told Maleficent something in his own language.
"Mal!" Chad said.
"'He still needs to return what he stole.'"
"Yes, right," she said remembering. "You have to give it back."
The boy eyed her warily. "Give what back?"
"Real smooth, Stefan." Jay said shaking his head.
Maleficent sighed unbelievingly, holding her hand out.
Stefan pulled the jewel out of a small bag and tossed it to her. Catching it, she gently drops it into the water next to her.
"Why drop it the water?" George asked
"Its called the pool of jewels, meaning she delivered it back to its place," Ariel answered.
"If I knew you would throw it away, I would have kept it," Stefan said as he was led out the Moors.
"I didn't throw it away," Maleficent replied. "I delivered it home, as I'm going to do for you."
"See," Ariel said.
"Still a waste," George said.
They pause just outside the tree line. He pointed to the towering kingdom across the field and trees. "Someday, you know, I'll live there, in the castle."
"This sound more and more like the same Stefan," Eugene said.
"Well its not, my husband was part of the soldiers in my father's army." Queen Leah said "Not some peasant."
"Where do you live now?" She inquired.
He looked away uncomfortably. "In a barn."
"So, your parents are farmers then?" Maleficent guessed.
He looked down. "My parents are dead."
"Mine too."
"So both of them lost their parents at a young age." Elsa said knowing the feeling and grabbing her sister's hand knowing she felt the same.
"Could have been the war." Cinderella said glaring at Queen Leah.
"What!" Queen Leah asked.
"Your father was responsible for this."
"We don't know that," Aurora said.
"Oh he was," Hades answered and Mal knew how he knew. He was the god of the underworld. Everyone who died went through him first.
Stefan stared at Maleficent for a moment. "We'll see each other again." With that, he started to walk off.
"You really shouldn't come back here, you know," She called after him. He paused. "It's not safe."
He smiled, turning back around. "And if I made that choice? If I came back, would you be here?" He asked hopefully.
"Perhaps."
Stefan extended his hand for a handshake, but as she touches him, she pulls back in a shocked cry. "Ow!"
Everyone gasped in the room at the suden pain she gotten when their hands touched.
"What just happened?" Belle asked.
"His ring!" Mal pointed out "Is made out of iron."
"And Maleficent is sensitive to iron." Aurora said remembering her godmother at Phillip's parentz had invited them for dinner.
"Are you also sensitive to iron, Mal?" Ben asked worried.
"No, not really." Mal answered, "I've touched iron a lot on the isle and it never burned me."
"You get it from me." Hades said.
"Demi god can't have problems like that." Zeus said.
"What's wrong?" Stefan asked in concern.
"Your ring! Iron burns fairies."
Mal shallowed at the thought of her mother near iron. Yeah there was iron on the isle and Maleficent enemies on the isle used it sometimes against the fae.
"I'm sorry," Stefan pulled the ring off his finger and threw it into the grass.
He turned to Maleficent once more. "I like your wings," He called as he walked away.
Maleficent beamed at the praise.
The narrating voice came back. "Maleficent thought of how Stefan cast away his ring. He who had so little in the world, so that their hands could touch again and her heart was moved."
"Looks like someone is falling in love!" Snow White said.
"If this is the same Stefan then he had done something to Maleficent for her to curse his daughter." Melody said.
"Unfortunately, he did," Hades said "And I wish I had been there sooner."
"Wait, what do you mean?" Mal asked curiously.
"I met your mother before the isle, Mali." Hades sighed "She was already full of rage when we met,"
"What happened?"
"I was at that moment busy plotting to take over Olympus, so I left." He said. "When I got back she had already given Aurora away at the wedding after winning the war in Ulstead."
Everyone was more confused than before. Zeus glared at Hades as he remembers how Hades tried to take over Olympus.
