Minutes later, Veruca had already followed Nancy to go and see her daughter in the nursery, the front door swung open,
"Veruca, have I got some good news worthy you !", Mike shouted happily.
Once he had opened the door and walked in, he realized nobody was there. Mike was expecting was a big hug and a kiss from his wife, but, that didn't happened for him.
"Veruca, are we playing hide and seek?,joked Mike.
He started looking for her around the house, but, while as he was looking for her around the house he stopped when he saw their housekeeper, Nancy,
"Nancy, where's Veruca?",asked Mike.
"Well, actually, last time I saw her, she was in the family room.",testified Nancy.
"Oh..that's weird." ,said Mike.
He headed his way upstairs to go into the family room to see Veruca. He wanted to know why she was in there. When he got to the door of the family room, he decided to knock on it,
"Veruca, is it okay if I come in?",asked Mike.
No body answered and that was when Mike became concerned for her.
"Veruca,tell me what's going on! I'm really worried about you...",Mike paused.
Then he saw that Veruca was in their bed with a face mark on her cheek holding baby Emma in both of her hands. He ran towards her,
"Veruca..what happened!?",shouted Mike.
"Me and Daddy got into a fight and he hit me.",explained Veruca sadly.
Mike's eyes widened in shock
"Is Emma okay!?",he said as he looked down at the baby.
Veruca smiled "Yes Emma is fine she wasn't apart of it."said Veruca calmly.
"O..okay! That's good.",said Mike.
He decided to hold Emma in his hands.
"It's okay, Daddy is here.",said Mike to her.
Emma giggled with delight which made Veruca smiled even more.
"Plus I have some good news.",said Mike.
"Alright what is the good news?",asked Veruca .
"I just met up with Charlie and he was wondering if it is okay for us to get together with him and Violet with their two kids and bring along Augustus.", said Mike
"I don't see why not, I think it is time for Emma to finally have some friends.",smiled Veruca as she looked at Emma.
Emma smiled, giggling up at Mike trying to reach out for him.
