Hello, fellow Trainers. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. The last chapter was just the short prologue which introduced Looker, Roman Torchwick, and Grunts of Team Galactic in Vale's Warehouse District about five years ago. Not only that, but we also see members of Looker's and Roman Torchwick's teams: Growlithe and Lampent respectively. Again, if you have any ideas, please let me know. Now, this is the first of the flashback chapters of the main 8.

Golbez4: Roman having a Pokemon from the Vanillite line as a reference to Neo sounds like a good idea.

*Patch. Rose-Xiao Long Residence. 12:02 pm*

*Ruby Rose: Age 5*

Ruby Rose was actually sitting in the backyard with her two-year older sister Yang Xiao Long. The two were enjoying a lazy day of not doing much with their father, Taiyang. All of a sudden, she heard something rustling in the bushes near her. Curiosity overtaking her, she went to investigate. As she got closer to the rustling, it grew louder, Ruby was growing a little scared. As she was about to call out, the source of the rustling revealed itself to be a little dog with a beige face, big eyes, and a little red nose while the rest of its body was a light brown with a little bit of dark blue on the back. It looked at Ruby inquisitively. "What are you?" She asked quietly.

"Pup." Lillipup responded.

"Aww. You're so cute." Ruby's silver eyes sparkled.

"Ruby!" Yang called out.

"Sorry, little guy. I gotta go." Ruby apologized as she walked away from Lillipup back to her house, not noticing it was following her. When she entered the house, she joined her sister and father in the living room. Their pet Corgi, Zwei barked happily. "Hey, Zwei."

"Where'd you go, Ruby?" Taiyang asked.

"Just to the bushes near the back of the house. I saw this strange dog." Ruby answered.

"Lilli." Lillipup said, causing the trio and dog to turn around.

"Would that be the strange dog?" Taiyang asked.

"Actually, yeah." Ruby shrugged. "What are you doing here, little guy?" She patted Lillipup's head, to which the puppy pokemon nuzzled.

"Aww, he's adorable." Yang cooed.

"Now, now, we don't know where this little guy came from." Taiyang reminded.

Zwei, on the other hand, went up to Lillipup and began sniffing him and vice versa. Zwei barked happily again as he and Lillipup ran after each other. "Well, Zwei seems to like him." Yang commented.

"Still, I don't know if we should keep him around." Taiyang was still hesitant.

"Please, Dad." Ruby pulled out the puppy dog eyes.

"You know, your mother pulled the exact same trick." Taiyang reminisced. Ruby's face fell a little at her mother being mentioned. "Oh, I'm sorry, Ruby."

"It's okay, Dad. I just… miss Mom." Ruby sat down and teared up a little. Lillipup came and nuzzled her face. She giggled a little. "Thanks, little guy."

"Pup." Lillipup barked.

"I want to go visit Mom." Ruby suddenly said.

*Distortion World. Unknown Time*

A massive gray, black, and yellow dragon with red spikes on the six black wings, red stripes and its underbelly, and black sclera with its red eyes and no legs was watching Ruby and her family from his home. Behind him was a woman that looked to be an older version of Ruby wearing a white hood. "My little rose, making a new friend." The dragon lightly screeched. "You know I want to go back to my family. Again, thank you for saving me." The two saw the family heading somewhere. "They're going to the cliffside.

The dragon reached its head down which the woman rubbed, but the pokemon didn't seem to mind. "You don't want me to go yet?" The dragon growled lightly as if to answer. "You want to wait until they reach my gravestone?" A nod was the dragon's response. "I understand."

*Remnant. Patch. Cliffside. Rose-Xiao Long Family. 13:23 pm*

Ruby, Yang, Taiyang had reached the cliffside, Zwei and Lillipup joining them. "H-Hey, Mom. I made a new friend." Ruby brought Lillipup to the grave which he sniffed. "He's a dog which followed me home." The little rose was interrupted when growling was heard. Turning around, the family saw several Beowolves moving slowly toward them. Zwei growled back, but the Beowolves' teeth were bearing.

"Pup!" Lillipup barked.

"What?" Ruby asked, looking at her new friend. "You want to fight them? How? Why?"

"Lillipup!" The puppy pokemon replied.

"You know a move called Tackle? Use Tackle, I guess." Ruby was confused.

Hearing Ruby, Lillipup charged forward and hit one of the Beowolves in the leg, shocking it momentarily. Luckily, Lillipup ran back to the family before the Beowolf slammed its claws into the ground. "I didn't expect the little guy to do that." Yang said, her lilac eyes wide.

Lillipup looked at Ruby again, expecting her to utter a command. "Okay..." Before she could finish, the Beowolves were sliced up by a scythe wielded by a very familiar figure to the family. The figure landed right in front of them. "UNCLE QROW!" Ruby cheered as she latched onto his left arm. "Hi."

"Hey, there, shortstack." Qrow smiled lightly. "Yang, Tai, hello."

"Hi, Uncle Qrow." Yang smiled.

Qrow noticed Lillipup stnading next to him, looking up at Ruby. "What's this dog doing here?"

"Believe it or not, this little guy followed Ruby home." Taiyang answered.

However, more Beowolves were appearing when a dark hole appeared in the ground next to the gravestone which the dragon popped out of. The dragon's form began changing. It's three wings on each side combined into two giant ones, and it actually grew six legs. The dragon suddenly slashed at the Grimm with a claw made of nothing but shadows. The Beowolves were destroyed instantly. The family were scared when the dragon looked at them, but the pokemon didn't fight. Instead, it brought the woman out of the Distortion World. Needless to say, the family was beyond shocked. "S-Summer?" Tai whispered.

"MOM!" Ruby ran at her full speed toward Summer and hugged her, Lillipup joining her.

"Hello, little rose." Summer hugged her daughter tightly.

"Supermom?" Yang asked.

"It's me, fire dragon." Summer reassured softly as Yang walked up to her, hugging her. Looking up, Summer saw Tai and Qrow still shocked. "It's me, Tai. Your eyes don't decieve you."

"W-We thought you were dead." Qrow said.

"Believe me, I might as well be if not for Giratina." Summer answered.

"Giratina?" Tai asked. Summer pointed to the dragon standing behind her which Ruby was staring at in amazement.

"This big guy saved me by bringing me to his world. He had me stay there for about two years until the time was right." Summer explained. "I see Ruby found a Pokemon of her own."

"Indeed, except he followed her home." Tai chuckled.

"Thank you, Giratina." Summer smiled at the renegade pokemon. Giratina screeched and went back into the portal. Once it closed, Summer held her daughter and turned to the rest of her family. "Let's go home.

Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this first flashback chapter of Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. Ruby finds a Lillipup near the back of her house that follows her into her home. In the end, Summer is brought back to her world thanks to Giratina, showing the storyline is vastly different from canon as well as Remnant itself. A little explaining is that people know about Pokemon in this crossover.

As usual, if anyone has any ideas for this story, please let me know in the comments/reviews, or personally PM me. Now, these flashback chapters don't have to be in order, so who do you think should be next?

Now, these three characters have one pokemon each so far:
