{Dimension: God-Ring Dimension, 'Home Base' I'll call it for now}

The Tau'ri made their first delivery. That is good. Contract approved. Job on, something to think about.

I have agreed to a new mission with them in four days, meeting here, departing for the location, and providing security for a two-day period. In return I get another payment of requested materials, somewhat specific in I require various electronics they can create that are at a sufficient level for me to work with. From the parts already delivered I'd judge them at a reasonable level to replace my lost aerial drone at least. Or, well, create a few crude drones to use.

Even better they report sanity on the part of the team I worked with, so hope all works out on that front, much as I aim so for myself. But it is early days, and I cannot say that it will work out for them, as they were actively possessed, even if only for a few moments. One can only hope for the best for them now that I have supplied a medicus's guide to them to aide in monitoring.

Beyond that I shall soon complete the ritual work to utilise my Compass for extra-dimensional storage, not just planar travel, and why I have given myself an extra two days before leaving here. In that time I hope to pack away my emergency gear and establish a more 'mundane' camp with local resources while the Compass Ritual slowly completes itself. That way I will, hopefully, avoid supply wastage should I have to do an emergency 'walk' to escape some danger in this realm. Such as dark gods. The next mission might be the last here, or the first of a few so that more data can be gathered from these portals. That and what resources that can supplied in payment.

I have completed the ritual, and stored away my supplies, camping equipment, as well as the crate of magical equipment and scrolls, within the extra-dimensional space. Other than some the equipment needed for the cameras that is everything relevant packed away – and just in time too. I've built a nice little cabin out of logs and hardened mudbricks, along with an underground 'room', all hidden by shrubbery and an encompassing ritual protective ward. Got a well too dug inside, and I reckon I'll have a crude, but functional, shower rigged up in a few more days once I complete Purify Water runes in a water tank for such.

Work helps the mind, especially when it has been almost a month now. No closer to home.

It's stressful? Depressing perhaps? Though I do not feel depressed, so I don't think it is that. But I am concerned a month has passed, and I have had time to think upon such a fact. That it could be many months, or even many years, before I shall return home. If I ever do.

Not good to think on such, not when I must battle against any threat of memetic hazard and dark gods influence. I pray, and I shall struggle ever forward as an orc should. I shall conquer or die in the effort!

With that then decided – tomorrow we test our mettle once again with these humans of Earth who name themselves Tau'ri. Let us pray it is not as great a failure as it was before. If it is so, then this dimension is being left behind immediately, as facing down such entities is not safe. Even if the learnings of this 'Stargate Network' is valuable, it is not valuable enough for such threats as beings like that represent to a Pathfinder.

Just returned from a, successful and thankfully bland and uneventful, mission with this SG-1 team, and their medicus, Doctor Fraiser. She is clearly there to gather information from me, even as she, officially, is there to treat the primitive of a world with yet another X with numbers designation that I've put on file. I have the records of the 'gate address' if needed, so have assigned a League mission number to it for now. It does show the nature of these 'Gou'ald' as they are called, and I cannot say I like it – they are a threat, and must be avoided from multiversal travel.

They are chattel slavers, with generation upon generation living in miserable squalor as best I can tell. Not the slaves of home where you defeat and prove your strength, taking ones to serve you, and then bringing strength to the clan with the next generation. No, every child born a slave is the case here. A vile, and foolish thing, but these worm-creatures can only rule as 'Gods' by ensuring all below are too uneducated to understand that they are merely mortal charlatans as some mages might do in other realms. Even more that such, as the 'Gou'ald' rely upon technology alone, and possess no true magic as best I can see from their warriors. Nor do they even grant their priests powers as through a bond of magic as references in training speaks of!

Truly they are disgusting impostors and charlatans!

My Lord teaches that all should be aided in being the best that they can be, and these beings, even if they were deities, are an anathema faith in promoting ignorance where there should be knowledge. The Shrouded Lord will see my slaughter of these minions of ignorance in a righteous light I hope and expect. Tyrants should rule to bring order and improvement for their subjects, not to turn them to barbarism and chaos waiting to be. If I must be a mercenary, then these are an acceptable target for my guns and blades!

So say I, Tarvek, shaman of the Shrouded Lord of Nishrek!

May their ignorance die in shame with them, and knowledge spread supreme and victorious!

Just back from killing Jaffa! Fun times!

I mean, went to a world where the Earth humans screwed up some ancient device and had to fix their mistake by fixing it. Which involved lifeforce powering. Or soul powering, I didn't have exactly time to study the system before the local humans told the Tau'ri, and therefore me, to go back where we are from. Would that I could.

Well, so, story: humans called Tau'ri broke something, because one of them was a greedy fellow, and did the stealing thing. Which broke something because they didn't understand it, because they are cavepeople handed advanced weapons with no idea how they work. So, paid to be security for them – because they had to fix what another faction in their warband had broken. Because of course there are factions in the clan. There are always idiots, especially amongst humans!

So, the world was being invaded by a false worm god by the name of Svarog, though it was a space invasion, so he was in orbit with warships. Serving as ortillery from there for his invasion forces. Energy weapons, and I've got the scans on my suit for when I return home. Same as with the Stargate readings, its absolutely fascinating, even for me – and I'm not even a scholar. These devices are beyond my understanding, as its is the locals, and every journey brings more and more readings from higher and lower realms the device seem to interact with or pass through. Its not point to point, but actually passing through the material realm, yet also not. I don't understand it.

That aside. Killing warriors of imposter gods!

They are not very good warriors. Though I believe that is the fault of their imposter gods as the armour their warriors in substandard armour, and their weapons are more ceremonial than truly combat effective. Curiously they do have runic sigilry upon them, and weak wardings, of a sort, as if they had some experience with forces of other realms of existence. Its very old though, and Teal'c, the former Jaffa warchief who changed sides to the Tau'ri, does not know what such things are in truth. Beyond they aid against foes of Another Realm according to their tales. I'd guess some sort of Fae?

That's the last thing I wish to deal with, but back to battling these warriors. Sniped them with my heavy repeater while the humans tried to fix their screw-up. I could start embellishing about my heroics, but it was a nice, organised, sneak attacking that prevailed. Hit and run, jets and sniping – then dead Jaffa. Headshots worked best as kept their armour and weapons for capture. I expect a fee for that. More than just the three suits of armour and five staff weapons I've taken for my own supplies.

So, success! And I've received my next supply shipment here, so cheap, crude, drone back in the storage!

Good times.

Received a call from the humans for help, though I doubt I can give it. One of them, the female of SG-1, a Captain Carter, came through the portal on her own, unexpectedly. Called for help, well, a parley, and then for help once she spoke to me. Seems the scholar, Jackson, has suffered serious, maybe fatal, injury, and she asks for any help that I might give. They summoned others for aid too. Radiation of some sort.

I have RadAway and RadX, so, I going with her as soon as I return, and hope for the best on such a thing, but I have doubts. Have to admit he was a pleasant, if yappy, human. That and it is good if I could ensure his health after getting the last team locked away for however long, all while hoping they don't turn evil due to possession and such. Bad for my reputation amongst them, and I value my reputation and honour. My word is already given, so my actions will follow as any lawful and honourable orc would act.
