Being caught was a major problem, one that filled Tarvek with anger. Anger he directed into the fight as he cut his way through the first of the attackers. Asgard, or not-Asgard, that fought within bio-suit armour that was clearly inferior to his own power armour thank the heavens. That, and the internals having an Asgard-like being inside, was proven by that first blow, and first kill as his flaming, roaring, shishkebab tore through the bio-armour like the flaming chain-sword it was through butter. The difference though was that these not-Asgard were psionic, as Tarvek had detected no such psionic nature from the last universe.
So, terror was needed, or terror tactics in this fight. As the first foe fell, and Janet fired a burst of rifle fire at another, Tarvek activated Overdrive on his suit, running forward as a blur to his invader foes. His heavy repeater erupted with fire into one enemy that was descending from the transport hovering overhead – Tarvek's bolts smashing into them, erupting in gouts of greenish not-flesh and gore. There…there lay the path for dealing with the immediately problem of the flying ship that would soon be able to give support fire to the invaders it was disgorging. But that was also a mistake as Tarvek charged forward, blade cutting through another foe as he then slammed his shoulder into them, slamming the now bisected not-Asgard bio-suit out of his way.
All while his own suit's psion defences blared out a, hopefully deafening to the psionic not-Asgard, fear touched mental attack and communication jammer {EVERY BLOW A PRAYER! EVERY DEATH AN OFFERING}
Another enemy seemed to explode before him, as Tarvek swung upwards with his fiery chain blade, jet pack activating as he started the swing. That turned the momentum of his armoured arm's swing into a monstrous blow that obliterated the enemy warrior before they even reacted to him, while Tarvek adjusted his jetpack's flight path to ensure he 'landed' on of the enemies as they descended from the flying vessel. With a loud crunching sound Tarvek's booted right foot impacted where the bio-suit's head was, and where the enemy pilot was. Then activating his jetpack again, to its full blast, as the now dead foe's bio-suited was kicked off Tarvek's foot to slam into the ground beneath him…
More importantly it had brought the orcish soldier up into the spot the enemy warrior had just descended from, several of the enemy warriors still in place…
A simple command was given, his heavy repeater raised [Full Auto]
…Sneak attack!
CRacccckTHOOOMmmmm
CRacccckTHOOOMmmmm
CRacccckTHOOOMmmmm
CRacccckTHOOOMmmmm
…and then bodies exploded, along with the innards of the hovering combat vehicle as Tarvek, for a moment, didn't worry about stock levels of his weapon. No, instead he simply deleted his foes, and targeted where he guessed the pilot was, rounds exploding everywhere within as his shield emitters flared as blood and bits of enemies splatted off him, all while he projected that violence over their psionic comm-net…
{HAHAHAHAHAAAAAHAAAAAAA}
Continuing to do so as part of the front of the hover vehicle exploded, and the violently shuddered, indicating that it was now out of control. Then he jumped backwards, looking down as he ceased fire with the repeater, flaring his jetpack as he adjusted his flight path…
CrunnnchSPLATTTTT
…and landing upon a distracted enemy bio-suit, the sheer weight of Tarvek's own suit, along with shields, violently obliterating the offending enemy with this unusual form of surprise attack. He had a heavy advantage in close combat clearly, and Tarvek needed to inflict enough fear into the foe that they'd back off, long enough, for he and Janet to get out of the general area. Or for the natives to deploy enough forces here that searching for them would take more and more time. Combat stims kicked in, injected by his suit, the world seeming to slowdown to his reckoning as the hover-vehicle began to fall from the sky.
"IS THIS ALL YOU CAN BRING!" roared out from his suit's speakers as Tarvek was already moving, sheathing his heavy repeater to his backpack so he could use his shishkebab more effectively. This was true close quarters now, his free hand pulling out a plasma blaster that meant he wouldn't' be wasting any more ammo in this immediate fight. Ammunition would, likely soon, become an issue for weapons like the heavy repeater…and there were only about nine enemies still alive "THEN DEATH IT IS!"
The plasma pistol emitted a dull, wilting, green blast into the fact of the second closest enemy, the plinking clink of their needle projectiles bouncing harmlessly off Tarvek's power armour's shields. With a sound mixing liquid and energy hitting flesh, a hissing sizzle, the enemies bio-suit dissolved where it had impacted – the pilot inside screaming in terrified fear for the few seconds it took to consume them. Which was longer than the bio-suited enemy immediately closest to Tarvek as his shishkebab descended in a flaming, roaring, arc to end their life in one savage blow.
To his left the hover-vehicle crashed into a building, humans loudly fleeing from various sources as Tarvek ignored them, save for Janet as she managed to cut down one of the enemies as the remaining ones clearly attempted to flee. That was something Tarvek wouldn't allow, running forward to cut the legs off the third nearest bio suit even as he aimed his pistol at the back of another…emitting a full blast into the enemy, before switching to the other fleeing one. He only needed one prisoner for interrogation after all. Watching as the last two died screaming as the plasma ate its way through their bio-armour, filling their psionic network with their pained last thoughts he expected.
"Now…" he said, murmured, though it came out loud and demanding from his suit as he stood over the survivor in their damaged bio-suit, tenacles and arms flailing "You. You don't need limbs anymore"
'Well, your suit does not' Tarvek mentally corrected himself, cutting off the bio-suit's remaining limbs, as well as the weapon tentacles. It took mere seconds, along with a blow to knock out the pilot as best Tarvek could manage without killing him. Then, after sheathing his plasma pistol, and doing a hurried scan of the horizon, Tarvek reached down, driving armoured fingers into the bio-suit to ensure a solid grip, and picked up the body like a package. Only then turning towards Janet and giving a forceful command as he sheathed his shishkebab chain-sword "To me! We move! Come here! NOW!"
Running was what to be done now. Running fast at that.
She hesitated, though emerging from cover…
"NOW!"
…and then jogging awkwardly over to him. Tarvek ignored her squawking protests as he reached out, grabbing Janet, and then slinging over hover his other shoulder while bracing deliberately with his suit's arm. There wasn't time, not with more enemies on the way, and Tarvek was already running, as fast as the suit could manage, while seeking the nearest local military unit. Those had been alerted clearly enough, even if the local law officers had to serve as militia due to the surprised nature of the attack. Still…some jet powered native aerospace assets were on the way according to his HUD display, though he doubted they'd last very long as such were unshielded, while the not-Asgard combat craft were.
'But, it will serve as distractions to buy time' he told himself, running faster than many of the local ground vehicles could manage, careful with his complaining female companion, as well as captive meatsuit. The monitoring of the invaders indicated his actions had surprised, perhaps panicked them, with the ring-portal being secured, yes, but now several craft were redirected towards his general location. Thankfully they seemed unaware of his speedy response and power armoured travel time…for now at least. Something he would not have forever as there was clearly a vast force behind this current insertion judging from his suit's readings of native, and invader, signals.
It was giving him a rough map of where to go, and where to avoid, as said forces closed in on his previous location, Tarvek running to the left now, leaping over some sort of aqueduct, jets momentarily flaring to life…
"BE MORE CAREFUL…." Janet didn't like that, grunting in discomfort, thought Tarvek didn't have time to give more than a moment's apology before sprinting forward again. Transmissions indicated awareness of his existence amongst the local militia, or, rather, law officers, though the overall attack had thrown the city into utter chaos clearly. Military units reacting were seeking out other things, as if this was a disaster they'd planned for, and weren't going to be much use here and now other than to delay those pursuing himself and Janet with their lives. Unfortunate, but unavoidable it seemed.
"Left…left….straight….right…." he followed directions off his HUD as an invader vessel scanned off to his left, several miles distant now. More importantly someone was firing upon it…
So Tarvek moved in the other direction, seeking out the signals of another military unit. One that wasn't engaged right now. One that had been likely doing something, perhaps securing bank supply duties as Tarvek had seen on several planes to varying degrees, based on civil structures. But, for his purposes, they'd have to do, as they were loudly, confusedly, calling for orders. Engaging with native authorities was now the best method of honouring his oaths, and in making some effort towards securing this plane's earth as a potential bridging site to Janet's one. That meant unpleasant choices, and so the armoured orc exploded out of the city, out of various trees, and charged towards the startled humans soldiers, making sure his shields were intact and ready as peaceful meetings were hard at the best of time. Now?
Impossible, and time was against him.
Janet screamed out in fear as bullets impacted off the shields around her, Tarvek slowing to a stop directly before the humans and their vehicles. None of which had armour beyond a pair of transport vehicles to his sensors. He ignored the shots, stopping, finding his voice "CEASE ATTACKING US! I AM YOUR ALLY AND HAVE CAPTURED AN INVADER! SEE! AND MY COLLEGUE IS HUMAN! CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE!"
A few more bullets pinged off his armour's shields, but the squad of native soldiers did stop shooting now, even as a gaggle of civilians fled in every direction. Tarvek nodded, standing like a titan over them, holding up the meat-suit of a not-Asgard "TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADERS!"
