"How can you not be tired?"

"Stims" Tarvek shrugged in response to Janet's question as he sat across from her on a native private aerial craft, military run but unarmed and civilian in usage he expected "I suggest you rest during this flight"

"That can't be healthy" she grumbled at him, and Tarvek could only shrug again "Even if you are not human"

"I am within acceptable protocols. In fact going several days in such conditions was part of my training before it will impact my cognitive functions" he paused, seeing the alert and standing up, clad in his human form "But time is not allowing both of us rest, and I shall not risk such while aboard this craft"

Convincing the humans of 'Australia' had taken mere hours surprisingly enough, for they had much of the world bombarding them for answers, even as their populace fled their capital after the devastating not-Asgard attack for the Stargate. Those 'aliens' now had withdrawn, having devastated much of the city's transportation hubs after they'd taken the ring-portal device and returned to space. They'd also attempted to grab information during their 'smash and grab' raid…

But, curiously, the not-Asgard, were rather abysmal at information systems management for a species on their technological level. At least for a given standard, and Tarvek had pulled up his old training notes on possible reasons for that; often it being due to never being needed in warfare due to other advantages. Such things could trump any enemy before they were even aware of such weaknesses, let alone exploit it…

'And most would not have an Asgard database to compare it too' he mused, standing, looking at Janet who was utterly exhausted where she sat at back of the jet craft "Sleep. I will deal with matters for now. You have already briefed them"

"If you say so" came the unhappy response, and she was at least respecting his seniority in their hierarchy "Not that sleep will come easy, what with…an alien invasion and no Stargate!"

"Such is as it is" he answered, not mentioning he would flee with her should the going get beyond levels they could deal with. A likely outcome, albeit one he'd prefer not occur as he stood, walking over to the nervous looking human female with concealed weapon underneath her civilian-style staff uniform. Clearly military despite the trappings of nice, submissive, and friendly female serving staff being presented. Standard trick in such a scenario, especially when the native humans of Australia clearly were desperate to both get Tarvek and Janet far from their shores once they understood they might be potential targets. But also desperately afraid to lose them also – for they were viewed as a desperately needed source of information now.

A North American-state dominant Earth politically it seemed, which was unfortunate in having to deal with such types, but still good in that it was within known parameters. The League of Aquitaine's on-off clashes with the Crosstime Traffic organisation in the early days of the League meant Tarvek knew enough to interact with such Earths…hopefully. Arrogant thoughts could get you killed, just like assumptions, so Tarvek was intent upon avoiding such missteps if at all possible. Especially when faced with a powerful foe; one beyond his ability to battle, even with a world possibly allying against them. He needed to think of options, all while watching for any betrayals; from the sudden but inevitable, to panicked flailing as someone tried to save themselves by selling him out.

"Mister Carlyle" Tarvek greeted the 'senior' human aboard the flight, the one who'd called for his presence as a heavily encrypted communication was now in progress according to Tarvek's own suit's HUD "You requested my presence?"

"Mister…Tav" the human replied standing, the military officer at his shoulder on guard as usual. They refused to call him Mister T for some reason, then asking about fools and other such oddities. Tarvek wasn't giving them his correct for now, settling on Tav "Thank you for your promptness. The US President is about to contact us, along with his advisors as we are within range. The aliens have begun to move more quickly since we have boarded the plane. Along with other concerns"

'Yes, that seems to be the situation' Tarvek thought, taking his seat, scans showing it was free of traps as a small screen was before the three seats. Wisely no-one stood behind him, or made any threatening movements as Tarvek sat beside the suit clad 'defence minister' and soldier "Ah, that was a concern. I am to be introduced? Believed at last, hmm?"

"There are concerns"

"Heh" he couldn't help but snort at that "Of course there are. I am a strange shapeshifting alien, and other aliens are invading. That is the start. So, the newest concern?"

Mister Caryle gave an unhappy nod, still afraid of Tarvek, largely because of the polymorph disguise "They have begun to access the global satellite network"

Unsurprising, but also…surprising in such attempts were detected so rapidly. But, then again, the not-Asgard were clearly visible to the crude and primitive space monitoring systems of this earth's humanity in the shape of a mothership. Accessing the global communication network should have occurred before the insertion of ground forces, even for a raid, as doing it now made sure the native defenders would be looking for such a thing. Most advanced polities would have avoided detection regardless, but…more indicators that the not-Asgard were, well, certainly not the Asgard. For the Asgard had been near god-like in comparison to Janet's earth's humanity when it came to such things – accessing systems with ease, and having ships in orbit unseen even when the humans knew such vessels were in orbit by being told.

"Access rather than eliminate?" he mused calmly "Or, how?"

The man glanced at the military officer, who replied stoically "They have inserted a repeating signal as best as can be understood by various experts within NATO. No effort is being made to stop the signal for the moment, as it…merely seems to be a repeating signal and is not affecting any other systems, civilian or otherwise. Considering your efforts, and being, ah…"

The man trailed off, as the words next were uncomfortable from a security point of view – he had accessed their systems, told them so, and they still hadn't figured out how he'd done so. Illegal too from their position, but this was a war for survival, so such things fell under diplomatic niceties now "And there's has been detected, even without my arriving to give what system monitoring of them I have achieved? Yes. Their technology is advanced, yet curiously clumsy at times. They are also ignoring all communication efforts?"

Both humans nodded, then the officer received a communication to his earpiece, which he whispered to the civilian…

All of which was simply that the communication was established with the nation they were flying towards, Tarvek finding such whispering silly as he could clearly hear the words, even without his suit monitoring systems. Regardless there were signs that things were not completely hopeless, based on such evidence, along with that from the sensor readings taken when the not-Asgard attempted to grab himself and Janet. Even down to the fact that said not-Asgard were entering atmosphere to do battle, rather than have orbital bombardment options, indicated either a cultural leaning against such things, or limited tech-ability to manage such an operation despite their tech-level. Or perhaps that was just wishful thinking Tarvek considered, hiding it as the screen went fuzzy, then solidified into a figure sitting at a desk, flanked by two other human males. This president Tarvek assumed, having it confirmed moments later by the brief exchange between the 'Mister Caryle' sitting beside Tarvek.

"Mister President" as such Tarvek greeted him when it was his turn, as this was the closest there was to a 'planetary leader' right now "Greetings. My current hosts have made introductions that are believed, yes?"

"Yes, Mister Tav, much as it is unwanted, we do believe you. Sufficiently so to have this conversation, yet alone mobilising our military after leaving the White House" the 'president' sighed, wearily "You are unwilling to give certain information by this channel?"

"Only in person. There is knowledge that I carry that cannot be allowed into their minds" Tarvek stated simply and calmly, for there was far too much danger in a species aggressive as these ones getting access to dimensional travel technology "Indeed, they are psionic as a species, so those given such knowledge cannot be allowed near them regardless of victory or defeat"

"That is…" the human on the screen started to say, then having a whisper exchange with a man in military uniform, before turning back "Psychic powers are somewhat hard to believe"

"It matters not whether you believe so, or not. They are" Tarvek shrugged "Potentially it is why their systems security is so crude and primitive in relation to their technological level. Still, one cannot allow them gain even a fraction of understanding of such capacities, or billions upon billions more will be put in danger. That and attempting to grant technology to access their systems as I have on my person might bring their attention upon that location. Somewhere I would rather not be located at should such occur"

"My advisors also want to know are all their craft shielded?"

Tarvek shook his head "I do not know for definite. Only what my sensors detected…and that would indicate yes, they most likely are. My nation has developed similar, as was shown in my combat, but, before you ask, there is no time to teach such or provide systems. It is simply impossible. Much as one would prefer it to be otherwise. For shielded craft usually vastly outclass unshielded ones, even with similar technological levels…though, my readings indicate that sheer volume of directed firepower will bring down the shields on the smaller craft"

"But not the larger" came back after another exchange with advisors "Yes?"

"I do not know. Only that the larger craft are extra-solar and clearly travel so, and are….bigger. Meaning larger power supplies and generators one can speculate. They will likely resist multiple hits of your strongest atomics before faltering, if at all" Tarvek shrugged "I can, and will, assuming resources are given, provide all my sensor readings in full to your militaries. I am allowed such under emergency protocols"

"Understood" the 'president' replied, sitting back "We are currently airborne, and Minster Caryle you'll be directed towards Area Fifty-One. Our friends…in Moscow also wish to engage a conversation, we have provided footage"

The man paused, shaking his head "The mothership has broken into multiple large vessels and are currently moving towards the atmosphere. Time is rapidly running against us"
