'Leaving….we're leaving soon as this locates a quiet spot nearby' Tarvek told himself as he sat, polymorphed into a human form, in front of a comp-device cobbled together from local equipment with a few extra parts from his Compass Inventory. Janet and the young female, Mayuko, were resting now, and as soon as they had done so…then Tarvek was going to move. There was too much unnerving about this place, this realm, not to push ahead now he an idea of Mayuko realm. And, not to be cruel…even if it was close enough he'd rather sort the problem elsewhere.

'Not here. Not with this'

His eyes were on the analysis that his systems had been running for the last few hours of the clearly false night sky outside [Error/Unable to Analyse]

That….that could be nothing but bad. This was an Earth, seemingly, so the analysis should be relatively easy between drone pulses, the night sky, and various other measurements of the cityscape. The planetary mass, the atmospheric predictors, and everything else should at least be within the large variations of time, space, and species development. That there was an Error of that type…meant the systems were broken, which was debateable as it did detect and have levels of both the dimensional energies and psionic overlay. If there were errors it should be on the Second, not the First, and his Compass confirmed that status now that he had it deployed.

'This realm is off' he considered glancing over the other two 'Is it an Earth? Or, perhaps, is a realm beyond?'

The true worry was that this was a pocket dimension, or, worse, a nexus-realm like the Outlands before one entered the city-cage-realm that was Sigil. Tarvek was strongly suspicious of that fact, and that this might be a hunting grounds of sorts, with new prey being brought in for less than less than pleasant purposes. The city seemed to extent in all directions, and while such 'mega-cities' weren't uncommon…there were no indicators of any signals in the distance, and the constant fog-sheen since arrival hinted at things he did not like. Yet more of such things he mused sitting back, eyes running over the cameras again, noting what were clearly search parties of masked humans moving building to building from where they'd been.

'Another reason to move quickly. We are being hunted' was the unfortunate, but expected, result of that first attack, and clear guiding intelligence behind these mind-control humans. His Compass had located two nearby, but Tarvek intended to breach here as soon as his Compass drained the local area and ensured a relatively quiet breach back their new travelling companions home dimension. He'd already painted a ritual circle on the wall to his right, with various other protective ones on the floor, ceiling, and other walls, in preparation for that operation. Glanced again at the countdown to the projected time of his setup 'comp-rig's' system preparation for a breach to the energy readings matching Mayuko's. Not too long then he mused, running more analysis as his faux-fingers moved over the holographic-keyboard, gathering data, and watching for any approaches towards the hospital building.

'Hmmm….drone up, atmosphere sufficient for the little engines. Scan is good, let us see if we can as high as we can and get a proper reading' he directed silently, pushing the drones created from the last earth's less advanced parts. Battery life and engines were pretty pathetic, but it was hard to see even if the air was, again, odd the further up the device ascended. Really it should be thinning out, or changing mixture of elements of….

…of….

Tarvek froze as the drone looked at the sky…

….and the sky looked back to his horror.

The stars were, simply, not real. Not truly. Nor was the atmosphere, understanding coming to him. For the stars were but a mirage, a false image, as the lights were paintings on the sky. Torn away as the drone bumped into something, rebounded…

….and then an eye opened, blinking, darkness on either side as the white of an eye emerged, with a pupil, psionic energy pouring into the realm…

Tarvek's finger moved, instantly, without much though. Training ingrained as it touched the appropriate coded reaction. One moment there was a view…then next the drone ceased to be, burning and disintegrating as the image of a giant eye in the sky vanished from the screen from one second to the next. Just as one moment he was sitting, and the next he was standing. Standing, then moving, grabbing and waking the pair of humans he was stuck with.

"Un, wha…"

"What are you…."

"WE ARE LEAVING. NOW" was he his simple response, grabbing them, standing them, then activating the Breach-Portal while hustling the two up and towards it "NO TALK. GO THROUGH"

"Tav…" Janet blearily still used his code "…wha…"

Safety was important yes, but Tarvek was at the stage of: They were in SOMEONE's/SOMETHING's POCKET REALM. AT BEST.

Potentially they were in a God's Realm…

Leaving was the SAFETY CHOICE. Yes, it was he knew as the breach ignited, showing a shimmering, watery, surface, on which a building/alley during the day was on the other side. Acceptable, even if it breached privacy for now "Go through. Now. We CANNOT stay. Quickly now"

With a shove he sent Janet towards the portal, his hand touching the holo-display, then transmitting kill commands to the two other drones, as well as to the rig he'd just been using. Wiping all data on those systems and hearing them stark and catch aflame seconds later as he hustled his charges towards, and then through the breach-point. All the runic wards were burning hot and bright on the walls, but Tarvek ignored them, getting both females through to a….loud city-sounding alley somewhere. A glance back revealing them vanishing at a wave from his hand and a quick chant, the portal falling apart on the wall it had been on. It was not ideal, but it should burn out the evidence and any efforts at pre-cogging their presence.

Instinct made him look upwards, seeing towering buildings, but also a blueish sky above, filled with sounds and that of many, many, humans and vehicles in motion. The air even smelled 'proper' for such a setting, as they burned various combustion fuels, filling the air with its stink. That was a positive sign, and only now did Tarvek begin to scan for other humans, or camera…in truth anything that might have seen the very obvious entrance they'd just made. The event should have been done carefully but hiding their exit from…whatever the hells that was…meant sacrificing checking out the exit point for such things as he now looked for…

'There…' he noted, fingers moving over the pip-boy wrist-comp only he could see, taking out an EMP emitter from his Inventory, firing a direct blast at a camera that, potentially, had a view of the alley. At the worst it'd corrupt the data into useless at this tech level Tarvek hoped as he 'shot' the device 'And done'

"What. The. Hell…Tav!" Janet hissed over the comms, and he saw she'd held back, trying to stay out of sight from humans that sounded like they were moving around the corner. Possibly on a busy street filled with humans who her combat-hazard suit likely would not fit with local culture. He had a spell to disguise that, and he'd told them the plan already…which was not the plan they'd just done right now. Largely because he hadn't planned on a revelation like giant god's eyes gazing down on a city.

"There was a security breach. We had to flee. Immediately" he answered seriously, but quietly, for both of them to hear "But we cannot stay here. Not at the portal point. We need to make distance, quickly, but quietly"

Janet wince, calming, but motioning at herself, and the weapon she'd grabbed coming here "I don't look…in place to do the quietly thing"

"I know, there is a disguise spell for that. Give me a moment" he answered, pulling his spellbook from the Inventory, flicking to the appropriate pages as the younger Mayuko looked on, then began to do things with her personal comms device. If she wanted to call for aid…that was fine, as he'd leave her and make an exit if she wished to flee to her kin should this be the dimension he hoped it was "Be silent a moment. Disguise Other"

He opted for Janet's actual form, save in…casualwear?...as it was called, what she and Mayuko had pointed out for Janet's kind in these lands as visitors…

"I Love LA?"

…Tarvek shrugged 'What do I know?'

"It's cool for foreigners!"

Janet looked at him, shaking her head "Taking fashion advice from teenage girls. We are that level?"

Tarvek shrugged again "Yes? Now, we need to move. Mayuko, if you wish to attempt make contact, then you may. But do so while moving"

'Far away from here' he thought, seeing an ocean of signals flood over his polymorphed suit confirming the city here was definitely alive. Getting them moving out into the crowd then, seeing they 'fit in' to a minimal acceptable level as tourists perhaps. Nobody was stopping them, or paying too much attention, as he watched their newest member in case she decided to flee or call for help. Surprisingly she wasn't calling for her kin or friends, instead sticking close to him, while looking around and trying to identity where they were. Something she confirmed after about a minute, directing him towards another location where they could access some underground train system….
