Betty looks for help and finds out just how crazy this night can get! Contains some sexual content.
Betty found a tree to hide behind, she stopped to think about her situation. She was running around half naked, butt out on display along with her pudgy stomach and thighs, she left her mother's car back at the drive-in and she would most likely be murdered before dawn. She rested her back against the mossy trunk, she was able to slow down her breathing because no doubt that creep would be right behind her with a knife waiting to carve out her heart and show it to her. She was starting to feel a chill, she held herself and rubbed her arms; even if she did find someone to help how was she going to explain the lack of clothes? What if they knew her parents? Who was she kidding, of course they'd know her parents.
She heard footsteps crunching on branches behind her, but up ahead she could make out faint voices, laughter, the sounds of smashing glass bottles; it could be the Serpents but even if it wasn't it could be a lot better than this masked wannabe slasher. Betty took a chance and ran for it, she was out of the woods and onto a makeshift campsite near the beach where the men and women with the snakes on their jackets dwelled.
"Please you have to help me! There's this creep with a mask chasing me!"
The Serpents only stared at her as if she was some escaped loon, forget that she wasn't wearing anything but panties.
"Hey, ain't that the little bookworm from last night?" The woman with curly copper hair asked the big guy Betty recognized from picking her up and sending her on her way.
One of them, Scarface one squinted, "Maybe but I have a terrible memory. She had clothes on didn't she?"
They all burst out laughing, frustrated, Betty looked back, no sign of Voorhees.
"I've seen worse ways to get our attention."
"Huh?"
"You still want in don't you?"
Betty did a double take, she wasn't sure she heard him right, he was actually going to let her be one of them? Just like that?
"For real?" Betty hugged herself awkwardly, unsure how to stand in front of them now the more she realized how exposed she was; the heat from their little fire was nice though.
"Sure, Blondie," one of them held out a bottle of beer for her. Betty was a little floored by their generosity, no questions, maybe they were used to women running up to them like this; better not be a regular occurrence.
Betty took the beer, "Thanks, sir. Say, nobody has any spare clothes by chance?" Nobody was budging, "Perhaps a jacket that I will gratefully have dry cleaned?"
"Nah," the big guy said, "This is a good look for you."
Betty took a deep breath and shrugged, "Of course."
Cheryl followed Veronica off the path in the Woods behind Pop Tate's, it looked like the girl had given them the slip but Veronica was determined to find her.
"Are you sure that was her? Why would she even do that?" Cheryl asked, avoiding branches Veronica pushed away.
"She's a rebel. We just have to find her cause."
Veronica heard music, she made Cheryl duck down as they came up to a clearing. Seeing those greaseballs in broad daylight was enough to give anyone the creeps, by fire at night they looked like ghouls; of course the pale blonde girl in her undies stuck out. It was Betty all right, she was standing there talking to the criminals with a bottle of beer in her hand.
"Told you," Veronica smiled.
"Betty Cooper is a Serpent?" Cheryl frowned, "No way."
Veronica gave her a hard look, "Way."
Cheryl folded her arms, back to being unimpressed, "I guess they'll take just about anyone these days."
Veronica was fixated on Betty, biting her lip as she imagined what she was talking about.
"Sheldon was an ok kid. He did a couple of jobs for us."
"Like what?" Betty asked bluntly, she retracted when she saw Scarface's face sink, "If you don't mind me asking."
"Ever been a mule, sweet cakes?" Asked Curly Hair, circling behind her.
Betty tried covering her backside with her free hand, "Can't say that I have."
"Sheldon transported some 'packages' for us. He needed the money. No questions asked."
"You know we didn't give blondie here a thorough search," one woman with the yellowest teeth sneered.
"Only wire I have is in my bra," Betty joked, hoping the others would take it lightly.
Scarface looked at her smugly, "He didn't really roll with us if that's what you're thinking."
"Oh? Did he roll with anyone else?"
Big guy put his arm around Betty's shoulder, "Hey, you don't need to know about anyone else. You're with us now. Ain't that enough?"
"Hey! Who's that?"
They all looked over to where Veronica and Cheryl were snooping, rather than stick around, the redhead dashed, leaving Veronica behind.
"You know her, Python?" Scarface asked.
"I mean, hard to tell from here. Maybe she's just curious about what we're doing."
"She's looking right at you," he grinned.
Betty could see the look of admiration on the rich girl's face, she stumbled.
"Uh, yeah I guess so."
"She looks really friendly, maybe she wants to come over and party," Curly said, licking her lips provocatively.
"Ah, no. She's..."
"Is she a narc?"
"No..."
"She your girlfriend?" Yellow teeth teased.
Betty turned a shade of red, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Say, if you go ask her out we'll totally let you in."
Betty couldn't believe this, "I thought I was already in."
"Well, consider this your initiation," beard said, "We can tell you more about Sheldon if you're still curious."
Betty did a double take, she wished she could just shoo Veronica away, she wasn't budging from her spot. Betty looked at all of her new gang member friends and gave herself a shake to prepare herself for humiliation.
"Fine!"
Betty walked up to Veronica, she felt even more exposed knowing her big eyes were on her the whole way over; in her imagination she could see a more confident version of herself strutting up to Veronica, maybe a lit cigarette in hand acting like this was just another Friday night for her.
"Yeah girl!"
"Shake it!"
The serpents called.
Veronica stepped out from her bush and eyed up Betty like she was window shopping, "Hubba-hubba."
"Um, Veronica I..."
"You're really becoming quite the show stopper, aren't you?"
"I can explain, see..."
"It's ok I get it. Joining a club can be tough. You wouldn't be the first one to streak. Defiantly not in this town."
Betty remembered her butt hitting the front window of the diner, all she could visualize were huge prints left there.
"You defiantly don't get buns like that at Pop Tate's," Veronica smirked devilishly.
Betty was confused by the way she was looking at her, with no hint of irony she was seeing her as some supermodel, looking past her cellulite. She got uncomfortably close, Betty would have backed away but those eyes once again had her, her lips were close to her once more.
"Is Betty Cooper a Serpent?"
Betty bit her lip, her face stressed, "Uh-huh...well almost."
"Oh?" She looked past her at the would be warriors of the South side, "Did you come over here to do something?"
"I...need to ask you something."
Veronica curled her lip, "Oh, and just what might that be?"
"I um...," Betty paused at some cheering coming from the team, she knew she couldn't drag this out much longer, "I...," Betty closed her eyes, she couldn't keep staring at her like an imbecile, "Veronica, do you want to go out?"
Veronica didn't look too surprised, when Betty opened her eyes she braced herself for whatever storm was coming, "Yes."
Betty frowned, "Yes?"
"Y-E-S!"
Betty wasn't sure why she felt butterflies in her stomach, this night was already weird enough.
"Shall we seal it with a kiss?"
"Huh?" Betty was feeling more vulnerable each passing second.
"Come on, gotta put on a nice show for those cavemen, right?" She grabbed hold of her, Betty didn't resist but she was evidently stunned by Veronica's forwardness. Everyone got a good look at the two women locking lips in the moonlight. Betty could feel her cheeks turning red and not the ones on her face.
"WOOOOO!"
Betty leaned forward, still moving her lips she realized a little too late that Veronica had parted; Veronica chuckled at Betty, finding her looking like a fish swallowing air.
"So, where are you taking me, lawbreaker?"
Betty couldn't find an answer to satisfy her, her fellow Serpents shouted for her to take her already, impatient at her stalling.
"I left my mom's car at the Drive-in."
"Well, that sounds like a good start," she held onto Betty's arm and let her lead the way, the Serpents continued to shout things that were incomprehensible.
Betty found her mother's car still parked in the same spot, nobody making out on top of it at least.
"What are you looking for?" Veronica asked.
Betty's eyes were on the ground, looking for any shred of clothing but it looked like it had all been conveniently picked up and discarded.
"How about you sit in and I'll go grab us something?" Veronica smiled, Betty decided not to argue and agreed, no sign of any maniac but she was still going to be vigilant. She sat in the driver's seat and locked the doors, she kept checking her mirrors as the intermission played on screen, nothing but normal people on normal dates. Veronica startled her returning with popcorn and sodas.
"So what's playing?" Veronica asked, leaning up nice and close to her as she picked at her popcorn bag.
"Uh, I'm not sure. I think it's something starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Megan Fox?"
"Tasty," she said, popping a kernel of popcorn into Betty's mouth.
"We really do need to be careful. There is someone going around with a mask on carrying a knife."
Veronica chuckled, "Oh, Betty you are too much."
Betty knew no one would believe her, it sounded too far fetched, the police would be no good to talk to, she'd be some loony girl sending everyone into a panic. She didn't hallucinate the whole thing that much she was sure of.
"Do you think I'm hotter than Megan Fox?" Veronica asked, looking up at Betty with pillow heavy eyes.
Betty smiled, still stumbling over her word, "D-defiantly."
Betty followed the plot of the movie vaguely, she understood that Chloe Grace Moretz was playing a rookie cop and recruited as a new partner to hardened cop Megan Fox, someone who had already lost a partner and preferred working alone. It was cliché but it was also a comedy kind of making fun of those types of movies. There was also some sexual tension between the clumsy rookie and the .
"Chloe is so adorable," Veronica said, drinking most of Betty's soda.
"Seems like things are getting kind of hot between them," Betty said innocently after a scene in which Megan pinned Chole against a wall, chewing her out for letting a suspect get away.
"Very hot. I hope there's a sex scene," Veronica said this while piercing her eyes into Betty's soul.
Betty swallowed, "That would be something."
Veronica unbuttoned her top, Betty didn't know what to do, she wasn't sure how far this date was going.
"Awfully hot in here."
"I-I can turn on the A/C," Betty suggested.
Veronica rolled her eyes, "Come on, you, this playing hard to get thing is a little played out don't you think?"
"Well, Veronica, I don't know if I...if I'm..."
"You haven't been on many dates have you?"
Betty shook her head, "Nah-ah."
Veronica sneered, "Well it's all very simple."
Betty didn't want to say she wouldn't know what to do, she had at least an idea of what her dark haired friend wanted to do anyway.
"I just know...I mean you're a nice girl don't get me wrong it just seems like this is all going kind of fast."
Veronica let her top drop, she was wearing a black laced bra, her breasts were much bigger than Betty's; she was getting a little excited but wondered if maybe this was going too far.
"Whoa..."
Veronica climbed on top of her, the windows were fogging up.
"It's just, this is my mom's car..."
"Well, what momma doesn't know won't hurt her."
Veronica necked Betty, her hands were on her, she knew what she wanted.
"Wow, I just never thought...," Betty was trying to find words for how good Veronica was at kissing.
"How good it might be with another woman?"
Betty was cut off from answering, a flashlight tapped her window, Veronica ducked down out of sight. Betty tried covering herself up with Veronica's top, maybe it was just some employee making sure there was no funny business going on. She rolled down the window and had a mini heart attack upon seeing the blue uniform.
"Uh, can I help you officer?"
The young cop with a baby face shined his light inside at Betty's face, he realized he was blinding her and aimed away, "Sorry. This is going to sound nuts."
Betty almost laughed, "Try me."
"The car you're in was reported stolen."
"Stolen?" Veronica sat up from Betty's lap.
To be continued!
